Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Making Friends Side Quest Walkthrough

October 6, 2018 by Jack McBastard 4 Comments

Making Friends is a Side Quest in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. This walkthrough shows how to complete the quest.

Recommended Level: 23
Region: Seriphos
Requirements:
Reward: 8700XP

Objectives:

  • Gather Materials for the Little Girl
  • Return to the Little Girl

Making Friends Starting Location

Objective: Gather the Materials for the Little Girl

What starts out as a sweet errand to help out a thoughtful little girl takes a really hard right turn at the end. But never mind that now, you’re helping!

There are two locations that you’re going to search for materials. You’re going to need:

  • Shiny Stones from the Abandoned Mine location, just west of the viewpoint. Inside the mine, you’ll be looking for baskets of rocks that have the telltale glow of loot. You will need to gather stones from three baskets to have enough.
  • Pearls from the Polydektes Lagoon on the east side of the island. You might want to call Ikaros to tag any sharks in the lagoon and kill them before you dive in, just to make your life easier. Follow the waypoint to a hole that you can swim down into. Before you do though, you’ll find a stack of pearls right at the edge to grab.

Now swim down into the hole.  Near the bottom, it intersects with a side cavern that you can swim into.  You will find pearls on the ground in this area, which can sometimes be difficult to see among plants, so look for the loot glow to guide you. You will need to gather three pearls for the girl.

Objective: Return to the Little Girl

Looks like the little girl has gone back to her hut overlooking the lagoon, and is now building… something. Wow. The choice at the end is up to you. I ain’t touching that one with a ten foot pole.

This concludes the Making Friends Side Quest in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (ACOD). For all other side quests check out the full Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Side Quests Walkthrough.

Actually this side quest can easily be done with level 17. Where in the world did you get level 23? All you need to do is kill a level 17 shark.

Since it’s a world quest the level scales with you, they were likely level 23 when them did it and so the shark would be level 23 as well

    Okay so for the endings

If you pick the dialogue option telling her it is okay that she made clay friends:
You give her the pearls and shiny rocks. Khloe goes to put them on the clay lumps she’s made as friends. She gives you the jewelry and seems relatively happy with you.

If you pick the dialogue option telling her that she can’t keep making clay friends and that she needs to stop:
Alexios/Kassandra will throw the components to make the jewelry off the cliff edge. She seems startled and you tell her she has to go make friends her own age who are real. She gets upset, she tells you that ever since her mother died people in the city have told her to stay away because she is a “cursed child”. She then yells at you that you don’t understand and to leave. You don’t get any jewelry.

    BUT
As you walk away Kassandra/Alexios will mention wanting to “check in with her” again. Out of curiosity I meditated for a day and came back. One of two things happens depending on what you picked:
    1. (If you picked the reassuring option and got the jewelry) Khloe will be crying on the edge of the cliff. Her clay people look even more deformed than they were before. Between sobs she will be saying “They’re gone… The rain came, and they disappeared”. She doesn’t notice you and will keep crying perpetually no matter how long you meditate.
    2. (If you picked the tough love option and said she had to stop making clay people) Khloe will be playing with 3 other village children outside her house. They all talk together and seem happy with each other’s company. Khloe will be making them clay dolls and the other children will be impressed with her skills. Like the first one no matter how many times you meditate the children will always be with Khloe.

After I picked the reassuring option and meditated to come back and check on her I felt horrible and tried the second one. I feel like even though you didn’t get the jewelry and she’s upset with you she’s far better off than being alone.

Thank you. There are so many twist choices in this game that leave me with guilt. I didnt need to mess a little girls life up.
