Here at PowerPyx my mission is to bring you the best, easiest-to-follow and most complete gaming guides on the internet before anyone else.
My vision is to make PowerPyx.com your one-stop-shop for EVERYTHING game guide related. Whether that be trophy guides, collectibles, walkthroughs, side quests, checklists, crafting materials, boss fights, secrets, general tips & tricks etc.
Over the summer I have been working on a new Wiki format for the website. A lot of big games require 100% completion for the platinum, so instead of just listing all side quests and activities, I want there to be in-depth guides on all topics for your reference. Think of it as a Strategy Guide to go alongside the Trophy Guides with info on all you’ll ever need for 100% completion.
Check out the first two Examples:
There’s a menu on the left that lets you select any topic you want, from any page of that game (on mobile devices it’s below the articles). This will greatly improve site structure and navigation for big projects in the future.
The info on main missions and side quests is still a bit light in these two examples – for a simple reason: most of my time goes into YouTube (and it will continue to be this way). It leaves me limited time for text guides, and… well I have reached the limit of what I can do in a 24 hour day. This new project is far too ambitious for one person alone, so I’m enlisting some help.
The Wiki Team
I have asked a few friends to help out with the wikis and they accepted! This will make the guides much more complete. They will be making text guides for main missions, side quests, side activities, crafting materials and other topics that I cannot completely cover on my own. This is for the website only and does not affect my YouTube channel.
Joining the wiki team are:
- Jack McBastard (PSN: LordMaim)
- Jeanmi96 (PSN: Jeanmi96)
- DK (PSN: SnowNinjaRaccoon)
- dalailama1989 (PSN: dalailama1989)
- imbroken963 (PSN: imbroken963)
It will be a game changer for big projects like Red Dead Redemption 2. Welcome to the site, guys!
What will the wiki team do?
The wiki team will help with the biggest games that are impossible to cover solo to their full extent. For example Destiny 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, Monster Hunter World, Death Stranding, Anthem, Final Fantasy VII: Remake, Borderlands 3 etc.
Their focus will be text- and screenshot walkthroughs for main missions, side quests, crafting materials, FAQs, but also written collectible guides. From time to time they may do trophy guides for games I can’t cover. Especially DLCs proved tricky in the past, as they often release when a new game comes out. With the help of the wiki team this is no longer an issue and our guide offering will be much more complete.
They will also have moderating roles and help answer questions in the comments.
How will this affect my own content?
Not at all!
This changes nothing about the content I make. It’s strictly additional text guides for the website. I’ll keep doing all videos on YouTube by myself and will personally make a trophy guide for every game I cover on YouTube.
Everything you’re used to will stay exactly the same. You’re simply going to get a ton of extra guides from now on.
The goal is to give you the best and most complete guides on the internet all in one package. The website is only going to get better from here on out! I think you’ll really like the new wiki layout, it makes site navigation more user-friendly and you have all guides linked together in one menu.
The wiki members have undergone extensive training with me over the summer and all of them have many years of guide writing experience. Furthermore, none of their articles will ever go live without my say-so! If you see an article live, you can rest assured I have personally checked it for quality and approved it. If it doesn’t meet my quality expectations it won’t get published.
Of course, all their articles will have their name on them. This way you can clearly see who wrote it.
Are you recruiting? How do I join?
We’re not looking for any more writers at the moment. But if you have a passion for guide-making and open world RPGs, drop me an email or message on PSN with your guide portfolio and we’ll keep you in mind when a new position opens up.
My promise to you: the best, most detailed, fastest guides on the internet with everything you’ll ever need for the platinum.
The wiki system will be available for select projects in the future, starting with Destiny 2!
Say Hi to the team in the comments below and don’t forget to check back for the Destiny 2 Wiki in the coming days 🙂
