This Judgment (Judge Eyes) walkthrough will guide you through all the main choices and investigations of Chapter 5 for 100% completion.
Chapter 5 Choices
Active Search: Verification Mission
Before doing anything else make sure to get the cat that’s across the street to your left.
First places to check will be the ground just beside the body’s left shoulders, the eyes, and the bullet holes in the chest. Yagami will then note you should check the phone, which will be underneath the right hip on the ground.
You’ll next have to head over the Genda law office to speak to all the others about what happened.
After the cutscene speak to Hoshino and he’ll give you an office key, then speak to him again and ask him what he wants to talk about, and Yagami will agree to let him help find out what happened with the events surrounding Shintani’s murder.
Shintani’s Phone Log
At this point you can walk around town and do more side stuff, or sleep on the couch to advance to the next day. Once you awake in the morning you’ll have to head over to Charles to work out more clues about the murder.
When you head outside there will be a man lying on the ground down the road from the office, and you head over there first to see what’s wrong with him.
He’ll ask you to grab a plant for him that’s just on the other side of the fence, then will introduce himself as the Hermit of Dragon’s Palace, and he’ll become a friend who you can then buy stuff. You’ll get jumped by a group of Keihen thugs though, and have to fight them off. The one big guy guards most of your attacks, and after a bit you’ll be stopped by the hermit and he’ll give you an extract, which is a consumable item that you can buy from him later. Take it then beat up all the thugs. He’ll then give you the key to the Dragon’s Palace, where you can go meet him later. After the fight you’ll go over there and be introduced to extract crafting, then after you’re done talking with him you can head to Charles to continue the story.
Choices: (Likely don’t matter)
Shintani, a lawyer
After the conversation you and Hoshino will head over to the ADDC building to investigate more.
At the ADDC
After a cutscene, head over to the lady at the reception desk to ask about Shintani, and then get another immediate cutscene.
The next section takes place in a flashback to 3 years ago, when Yagami was working as a lawyer, investigating the original murder that happened at the ADDC. Follow Terasawa to the room of the Victim.
Active Search – Verification Mission – Investigate the Bed
Before anything else head over to the window and look down to the right, to where the pillar under the sky bridge is. At the very bottom on the square base is a cat.
MISSABLE – Way Too Thorough! – Fully investigated Terasawa.
This is the room where you earn the missable trophy. Note that this takes place in the past, so you don’t have the investigation skills such as the rumble when you’re near an investigation point. The aim of the trophy is to basically creep on her, by investigating her face, her chest, and her posterior. After you view all three of those spots and Yagami chides himself for staring you earn the trophy.
Onto the actual aim of the investigation, first examine the top of the bed, just under the pillow. You then have to view the middle of the window, followed lastly by the door just under the window. After that you should head out the door to the hallway where Yagami will snap some pics outside, then you should choose to review the case when asked by Shintani. After that you’ll be lead down to the service garage where Okubo parked his vehicle.
First speak to Shintani, then speak to Terasawa. After you’ll head back to the victim’s room once more. You can interact with the investigation spots again, but you won’t gain any new information from them. Speak with Terasawa again to head out.
You’ll be back at the law office, still in the flashback. Speak to Genda, then walk over to Saori and speak to her. After that speak to Genda again.
Waku’s Hospital Room: Hallway
You then have to chase down a person that Shintani found eavesdropping outside. After the chase you fight a group of thugs, though be aware you don’t have most of your combat skills as this still is taking place in the past.
You’re next in the courtroom during the actual trial.
Waku’s Hospital Room: Hallway
Shono’s testimony was a lie (I don’t like how this answer is worded as it’s established he likely wasn’t lying but was just mistaken, but it’s the correct answer in this situation)
After this the flashback will end, and you’ll be back in the present speaking to the Director of the ADDC, and the chapter will end.
This concludes all investigations and main choices in Chapter 5 of Judgment.
