Introduction
Welcome to the Alone in the Dark (2024) Trophy Guide! Alone in the Dark on PS5 is a reimagining of the original Alone in the Dark game from 1992. There are a total of 5 Chapters with a majority of the game taking place during Chapters 2 and 4. You can also choose between 2 playable characters: Emily Hartwood and Edward Carnby. While they follow the exact same story, they have some differences such as having access to different secret endings, a unique section in Chapter 4, and some unique collectibles as well as dialogue with the characters throughout the game. To obtain all collectibles you’ll need to finish the game with both characters for their unique collectibles.
Step 1: Complete Either Character’s Story While Getting All Collectibles
You can choose whichever character you want for your first playthrough as it doesn’t matter and is down to personal preference. You’ll want to collect all Clues, Lagniappes, talk to every person until their dialogue is depleted, unbolt/unlock every door and safe. Simply follow the Alone in the Dark (2024) Collectible Guide and you’ll get everything.
It’s recommended to make an extra save once you reach Chapter 4 so you can get the other ending trophies during Step 3 without having to replay the entire game. It’s also highly recommended to upload your save to PS+ Cloud before beating the game. That way you can redownload it after you beat the game, since there’s currently a glitch that deletes your Lagniappes (collectibles) upon finishing the story.
If you ever get stuck on a puzzle or can’t find a specific key item to progress, you can refer to Alone in the Dark (2024) All Puzzle Solutions.
Step 2: Complete the Other Character’s Story While Getting All Collectibles
You’ll now want to complete the character’s story that you didn’t play on the first run. The game will be mostly the same with a few differences sprinkled throughout, mostly in Chapter 4. You’ll still want to follow the Collectible Guide while you play as there will be some character specific collectibles, as well as some of them requiring collectibles from both playthroughs like Chatterbox. Make sure you make another save at Chapter 4 so that way during step 3 you can easily get the other ending trophies.
You can also go for Teetotaller (don’t use the flask to heal) and I Don’t Got All Night (finish game in under 3 hours) if you don’t want to do a 3rd full playthrough.
Step 3: Clean Up
You’ll want to clean up the other ending trophies now as well as doing Teetotaller and I Don’t Got All Night if you didn’t do those during your previous playthrough.

Whenever there is a human around, you can aim at them using to unlock the trophy. The earliest you can earn this is once you reach Jeremy’s Room in Chapter 1.
What Just Happened? Give Grace a present |
||
After completing the “All the World’s a Stage” lagniappes set, talk to Grace during Chapter 5 to trigger this secret ending. This ending can be completed as either character. See Alone in the Dark (2024) All Collectible Locations for the lagniappes.
Nobody Knows What Happened Consider ending it all |
||
After completing “The Hartwood Curse” lagniappes set, interact with the noose in the Attic during Chapter 4 to trigger a secret cutscene. This can be done as either character. See Alone in the Dark (2024) All Collectible Locations for the lagniappes.
Radical Acceptance Submit to the Dark Man |
||
After completing the “Dying With Dignity” lagniappes set, you’ll get the objective to wash the paint off Jeremy’s portrait during Chapter 4 as Emily. Once you reach Dr. Gray’s Apartment and open the hidden passage, enter his walk-in closet and you’ll have the option to wash the paint off the portrait which will trigger the second objective, which is to submit to the Dark Man.
At the end of Chapter 4 after defending Jacob and stabbing him with the dagger, watch the cutscenes through. Once you reach the cutscene where Emily is standing in front of the Dark Man with the gun in her hand, hold to raise your hand to submit to him, which will trigger the ending cutscene. Some players have also reported that holding doesn’t work for them and that holding or has worked instead. See Alone in the Dark (2024) All Collectible Locations for the lagniappes. |
||
One of the Thousand Young Join a cult |
||
After completing the “A Goat Without Horns” lagniappes, you’ll get the objective to give an offering to the whispering tree in a Conservatory during Chapter 4 as Edward. After giving your offering, you’ll trigger the second objective, which is to wait for the tree to call you.
Once you reach Chapter 5 wait at the fountain as normal and when the cutscene plays where you’re staring at Emily on the balcony, hold to look at the tree, which will trigger the ending cutscene. See Alone in the Dark (2024) All Collectible Locations for the lagniappes. |
||
Bonfire Night Kill an enemy with fire |
||
You can find Molotovs laying around the map that you can throw at enemies. The earliest Molotov is located directly after unlocking the gate with Batiste’s key in Chapter 1. There will be a few Molotovs laying around on the ground that you can use on the enemies there. Make sure they actually die from the fire and not the impact of the bottle hitting them.
Hard Boiled Kill an enemy with shotgun |
||
You can get the Shotgun from the Small Parlor after completing the “Lost Children” lagniappe set. Afterwards, you can kill any enemy to unlock the trophy. See Alone in the Dark (2024) All Collectible Locations for the lagniappes.

Teetotaller Finish the game without drinking from your flask |
||
This trophy is currently bugged as both Emily and Edward as players have reported it not unlock on either Emily or Edward even though they’ve never healed throughout the playthrough. It is unknown what causes this issue.
Drinking from your flask will act as your way of healing throughout the game, so make sure you never press while playing so you don’t heal. If you accidentally press it, quickly load an old save or even the autosave to go back. You will not regenerate your health automatically, even on the easiest difficulty. You also won’t regen health in between chapters. So if you take damage, you’ll have that health for the rest of the game. Below are some tips for completing the game with minimal damage.

Thank you for the trophy guide. I’m disappointed to see so many glitched trophies and that pausing the game doesn’t pause the timer (which is bizarre because it does in Resident Evil). It’s good that the Platinum trophy is reasonable, but it taking 15-20 hours to earn (due to a minimum of 2 playthroughs), means I’ll probably only play this game if it comes to PS Plus Essential/Extra.
ObsiEez says
Yes it is quite unfortunate that pausing the game doesn’t pause the timer, not to mention Version 1.000.003 just doubled the amount of glitched trophies by making Edward’s campaign unable to be finished
Dimitri says
Powerpyx
Is there Difficulty such Easy, Normal, Hard excluding Classic, Modern?
ObsiEez says
Yes, there are 3 difficulties. Easy, Normal, & Hard which will determine the combat difficulty basically, while Classic & Modern determine how the game highlights objects of interest. There are no difficulty related trophies, so feel free to pick whichever ones you’re most comfortable with.
Trophy Hunter says
18 missable and 4 glitched ?
Dimitri says
Which Trophies is glitched due Faulty Day 1 Patch?
ObsiEez says
Only the 4 listed I believe are still glitched. The Day 1 patch did add new regular bugs like glitching into the games sky box during the start of the game, but nothing trophy related to my knowledge
james stewart says
my game is glitched out, batistes keys have completely disappeared and cant get access to the libraray. keeps saying i need the keys.
ObsiEez says
I never personally had that one happen to me after all my playthroughs, but this could be a newer bug that was added in the Day 1 patch since there are some new ones. If it has completely disappeared, the only real solution would be loading an earlier save before they disappeared & trying to unlock both the Clerk’s Office & Library as soon as you regain control in Chapter 2
Dimitri says
Powerpyx
Is there New Game Plus that let you carry over your Weapons?
ObsiEez says
No, there is no New Game Plus. However the Lagniappes do transfer over between each playthrough and the Shotgun is locked behind finishing one of the Lagniappes sets. So if you finish that set you can pick up the Shotgun the moment you get access to the Small Parlor
Dimitri says
ObsiEez
Are you going added Article where all weapons are located.
ObsiEez says
As there are only 2 optional weapons I won’t be making an article about how to get them all. The Shotgun can be found by finishing a specific Lagniappe set while the Tommy Gun can easily be found in Chapter 3 in the same room you need to proceed with the story. As for melee weapons they essentially all function the same anyway and are littered everywhere in the combat sections, so there isn’t a point to that one either
Tomasz says
Are the developers working on the problem?
I didn’t drink anything but I didn’t receive the trophy and I’m very disappointed
all safe locks cracked, nothing received
ObsiEez says
I would hope the developers are working on the issues. Did you play as Emily when going for the no healing trophy as before the Day 1 patch it was unobtainable on her & I’m unsure if the Day 1 patch ever fixed that since I haven’t tested it. Try doing the no healing playthrough as Edward & it should unlock fine unless the Day 1 patch broke that trophy further. As for the locks, that one is still completely unobtainable as of Version 1.000.003. Hopefully there will be a fix soon enough for the glitched trophies
Fabao says
Delete the console’s saves, start a new race, I did it with Edward today and the trophy was successful, your cure
Mannstiere says
Same here. I’ve beaten the game for the fourth time, this time without using drinks, and still didn’t got the trophy. It’s kinda annoying.
ObsiEez says
Did you beat it without using the Flask as Emily or Edward. I haven’t tested on Version 1.000.003 yet, but on the previous patch you couldn’t earn the trophy as Emily
Mannstiere says
Yes, I did it with Edward after the patch but got nothing in the end.
ObsiEez says
Dang. Either you accidently used the flask & didn’t realize (I also did this as Edward doing a run pre-patch when I fat fingered the D-Pad when I wasn’t looking at the screen), or it seems to be a bit buggy on the new patch as well. I’d suggest trying it again while working or other trophies, or waiting for another patch that fixes the other trophies before trying again. The speedrun can be done pretty quickly, so there isn’t much time loss attempting another run to see if it was a mistake or an actual glitch that ended up happening.
Mannstiere says
Yeah, I’ll try again and see what happens. After all, this is like my fifth run, I’m used to it :D
chucro says
Did you beat the game by fighting the final boss or taking the alternative ending?
Rev says
I’m new here, will this page be updated that the glitched trophies are fixed?
Thanks in advance. 🙂
ObsiEez says
Yes, this page will be updated once the trophies have been fixed and the trophy descriptions updated accordingly as well
Dimitri says
Powerpyx
How many Endings are there, What is all requirements for Each Ending.
ObsiEez says
There are a total of 5 endings. 2 per character & 1 for either character. The first 2 endings are just the regular ending for just regularly finishing the game as either Emily or Edward. Edward’s unique ending requires completing the “A Goat Without Horns” lagniappes set and doing the objectives it lists in Chapter 4 (this one is currently unobtainable, so no more info on how to do it other than that). Emily’s unique ending requires completing the “Dying with Dignity” lagniappes set and doing the objectives it lists in Chapter 4 (this one is currently unobtainable, so no more info on how to do it other than that). The last ending that can be completed as either character requires completing the “All the Worlds a Stage” lagniappes set and doing the objective it lists in Chapter 5.
Dimitri says
Powerpyx
What you meant two Ending are unobtainable?
ObsiEez says
2 of the endings cannot be obtained at the moment as you can’t complete their second objectives. There appears to be 0.1% achiever rate now on the trophies that are currently unobtainable, but I believe that is due to QA testing of an unreleased patch, so hopefully we’ll get one soon.
Tomasz says
I’m still missing 4 trophies
I got the trophy with Edward and didn’t drink anything and under 3 hours
Three trophies that are missing are currently not possible, but I still have 0.1% of these trophies
one question I’m missing the trophy among other things read all the clues
Does it work or is it bugged? I don’t currently know what I’m missing, what I haven’t read, I don’t understand it all has to happen in one go, or if I’ve really forgotten something and read the note later, it will unlock
ObsiEez says
For the clues, did you manage to get The Dark Man Enters in Chapter 3? It sometime doesn’t give you it. You’ll also need every clue as Emily & Edward for the trophy. If you’ve done both of those, try loading a save from Emily & Edwards story & then read the 2 collectibles they each start with since that’s how I got it to pop after the patch
ace says
so i gotta play as ed again till it gives me dark man thats bull lol
Tomasz says
I don’t know right now what that was in chapter 3The Dark Man Enters
I think it was in the library where you shoot yourself
I only did that with Edward. Do I have to do that with Emely too??
ObsiEez says
You have to collect all clues as both Edward & Emily to earn the trophy
Dimitri says
Powerpyx
Is there any Unlockables by simple beating Game, etc?
ObsiEez says
No, there are no unlockables
Tomasz says
What is the dark menters
Tomasz says
I have collected all the clues
Do I have to do the dark mentras with Emily too?
My english not good can you german??
Tomasz says
I have the trophy
I didn’t read the newspaper with Emily
I really hope the update comes and I can get the last three trophies and then finally sell the game
Have you heard that they are working on it??
ObsiEez says
Glad you managed to get it! To answer one of your earlier questions, I apologize but I don’t speak any German, so I apologize if anything I say can be difficult to read for you. I haven’t heard of any news for a patch sadly, but I’m also hoping it’s soon
Peter says
For Speedrun, is there a way to check the game time spent?
ObsiEez says
You can save the game then go to load that save. It’ll say the amount of time spent on that save on the right side by where it says which chapter you’re on
Tomasz says
Alles safes locked archivmend have the Player hakki22
ObsiEez says
Interesting. I’ll go & do 2 playthroughs later on tonight to test if I can manage it as well
ObsiEez says
Just finished both playthroughs unlocking everything & never got the trophy, so I’m unsure how he managed to get it honestly
Lacek84 says
I’ve got Teetoteller with Emily on my second run.
Oh, and do NOT solve the X-ray puzzle before the WW section, or you’ll be locked in the laboratory forever soft locking the game…
Tomasz says
It may be that all doors have to be opened to get the trophy
Maybe if it works, please post a separate video on YouTube
ObsiEez says
Yeah I’m about to test it shortly as both characters, including stuff like the Medicine Box & Globe just in case
Lucas Oliveira says
Thank you for the guide!
So, technically, you can play the game normally while leaving 2 saves on Chapter 4 for each characters to get the 2 unique endings and one more save before unlocking the final lock for when it get fixed.
Correct?
ObsiEez says
I’m 100% sure about the locks as I don’t know if it’ll count retroactively upon patch, but for the ending trophies leaving a save in Chapter 4 for each character should be good enough yes
Natalia says
I completed the game as Edward without healing twice still did not get a trophy…
ObsiEez says
Sorry to hear that. It’s possibly it glitched even harder with Version 1.000.003 as prior to that patch there was no issues with Edward. I’ll add a disclaimer that it might be bugged as Edward as well since so many people have been reporting this
Anton says
I did as Edward and get the trophy. I combine 3 trophies in 1 playthrough – evil ending + no healing + less than 3hrs
Cora says
Im at the part of the game, playing as Edward and I made it to the point where I have to collect 3 medallions. I’ve collected the first one just fine, but the second two are down pathways that are inaccessible to me? Like I can clearly see where to go, but the button prompt isn’t triggering and won’t let me through. I haven’t finished downloading ver. 1.000.003 so I hope that’s all it is…
I’ve got really slow internet and that updates gonna take me 90+ hours 🙁
ObsiEez says
Upsetting to hear. I haven’t personally encountered this glitch so I’m unsure how to fix it, but with how buggy the game is overall it’s unsurprising
XxTH3_D34DM47NxX says
The same with me I have completed the game twice in a row with Edward without healing myself no trophy
Billshevik says
I unlocked the no healing trophy on my 3td try with Ed! I don’t know if this helps but try not to heal accidentaly as it seems that even if you do and reload a save it scraps the run anyways.. maybe there is a different case with autosaves and manual saves! The only broken trophies are the ‘all locks’ one, the ‘submit o dark man’ one and the ‘join the cult’ one.. hope they patch it soon!
Romeo says
The submit to the dark one and join a cult trophies are not glitched and the solutions have been found.
ObsiEez says
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I’ll update the guide accordingly
Anankha says
The two bugged trophies are possible.
Radical Acceptance:
Once you’ve fought Jacob DO NOT skip the cutscene as this is pivotal. Once the scene has finished Emily should be holding her gun & she should say to the Dark Man What else can i do? time should then slow down where immediately the player should push the Left Stick Up. Others say it’s Right stick up + Left stick down.
One of a Thousand Young:
Chapter 5 at the cutscene around the Tree when everyone is chanting the poem Edward falls to the floor & looks at emily, when this happens move the camera & look at Grace hanging from the tree, keep looking at her until a new cutscene starts.
Others say this cutscene will become slow motion where you can look left or right to choose the ending – I would expect one of the ending is this trophy done by looking at Grace.
Information found on the AitD forum on PSNProfiles.
ObsiEez says
I’m aware & I just updated the guide for both endings & confirmed the unlocks myself now. So it seems there are only 2 bugged trophies currently that are obtainable by some, but not others it seems
Ananakha says
Update: Radical Acceptance needs to have the left stick moved south east & not up as many guide state. I tried up numerous times & it did not work.
ObsiEez says
I personally got it by hold up on the left stick. It seems it’s a bit weird how it works for a lot of people
Lukas says
Yup! I just got One of the Thousand Toung trophy – in chapter 4 when playing as Carnby you need to give offering to the tree (spot is behind the tree) then after Emily shows up when people are chanting, you need to look back at the tree (just use analog on the pad) I still have issue with Teetotaller, but I guess that in order to stay sober I need to skip cutscenes when Eddy is drinking)
Tomasz says
You Can’t Keep Me Out!
Open all of the safes and locks in the game
Can you make a Video of this trophy
That is the last trophy what i need
Tomasz says
I usually watch all the sequences of the game once, but with this game I lost interest
Actually very cool done
Still, I think the game is really, really bad
I just need the one trophy to open all the locks and safes
What am I doing wrong
ObsiEez says
Chances are you’re not doing anything wrong. The game is just extremely buggy & while some people have managed to get the lock trophy, others haven’t.
Billshevik says
Do we have any solutions/updates on the ‘you can’t keep me out’ trophy, is there anyone that managed to unlock it?
ObsiEez says
Yes there are people who’ve managed to get it but overall it’s still extremely buggy. The final lock in the game it unlocked for those people is the second bolted door on the boat in Chapter 4
Lewster says
Is it worth making a save before the last locked door and reloading it until it pops or will that not work?
ObsiEez says
I don’t think it’d work personally, but you can still have that save incase it ever gets patched & unlocking the last door of that save will work
Lewster says
Thanks for the reply. I did give it a try yesterday in the end and you’re right, it does’t work. Do you think we’re likely to get a patch?
FireWalkLikeMe says
Just got the Radical Acceptance trophy. This may sound bizarre, but I’m pretty sure the position you’re supposed to push the left analog stick is randomly generated (per playthrough). I had to reload the sequence and kill Jacob about five times because I kept pushing the left stick up or down like people were saying and the placement for me ended up being pushing the left stick southeast. You can see where the game wants you to push it because when you get the position right, the camera will start zooming away from Emily.
Lukas says
Left South east (down to 5 o’clock) worked well. Left up I did couple times with no effect.
ObsiEez says
With how many people have experience this same issue even though I personally got it by holding up, I updated the guide to reflect that some players are having issues by holding up & refer to down-left & down-right since I’ve seen both be used by players confirming that’s how they managed to get it.
Tomasz says
Do I have to open locks and doors with both characters??
ObsiEez says
With the trophy being extremely buggy, it’s unknown if you need every lock as both characters, just one character, or just the unique ones.
Anankha says
I’ve tried with both characters & the trophy didn’t pop.
Between the characters there’s 30 doors/safes to unlock but each character uses 29 (the clerk’s office safe needs to be opened twice it seems – one for the collectible the other for the key/item, it suggest to me that the trophy should pop playing as either character.
ace says
do you have to read each clue with both characters? got dark man enters on emily but not ed
ObsiEez says
It’s possible only that only the unique ones are required as I believe some people have earned the trophy without ever getting The Dark Man Enters as Edward. Make sure you read the 2 starting collectibles as each character as well if you haven’t
Lukas says
Teetollarer worked for me on Emily scenerio. I did speedrun with ommiting library battle (totally expendable since canbe bypassed through garden, but possibly may count as open lock), not drinking any alcohol, skipping every of alcohol drinking cut scenes, bypasing flask puzzle in Cassandra room (Fish, twins, whatever unlocks), Grace gift ending.
Tomasz says
I have now played both runs until just before Chapter 5. I have opened everything that can be opened, even all the doors, safes, suitcases, garbage cans, everything possible
Trophy not received the game is such rubbish unbelievable
underground bad sometimes it gets stuck you can’t walk
reload In any case, I’m very disappointed with the game
Lukas says
PSN profiles community found a bypass to get the all door locks/ safe opened trophy, but so far it is applicable only for physical discs owners as it requires playing buggy 1.00 version with Emily and downloading patch only after Truth door crash. Confirmed- it worked for me.
Tomasz says
I received the Unlock All Doors trophy
In my opinion there is no real new game plus since it doesn’t pop up it’s quite clear he doesn’t save it…
what have I done
I deleted the save, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and didn’t update
Issued online
First played with Hopper up to Gray’s Office with version 1.0
2 run with the woman I was down in the basement, deleted the puzzle with the pictures and tried to get out with the key, opened the door every time it crashed then turned on the internet and installed the update then opened the door and the trophy popped up
I think that this time it was saved that doors were opened, which is not the case with update 1.3
I hope there won’t be any more updates…
I’ll never buy a game again when it’s released unless it’s called Resident Evil and Silent Hill or Dead Space
simply horrible
ObsiEez says
I’m glad to hear you managed to get it! Even when playing on version 1.0 I still wasn’t able to get it, but I hope your method does help some others!
Fhigyv says
When you say we need to make a save at chapter 4. do you mean at the beginning or in the middle or at the end of chapter 4?
ObsiEez says
For Edward, beginning. For Emily, once you reach Dr. Gray’s apartment. I’ll add these to the guide to make it a bit more transparent of when to save
Billshevik says
They fixed the ‘you can’t keep me out’ trophy with the 1.05 update!
ObsiEez says
I saw that in the patch notes & about to do a playthrough of the game myself to fully confirm. What I can confirm however is loading an older save where you only have 1 door left won’t unlock the trophy, so it seems a new playthrough is required
Billshevik says
I had a save in the start of chapter 4 with emily, i downloaded the patch and continued playing from that save. The trophy and the platinum popped for me when i unlocked the operation room in the basement to get the fuse!
Lewster says
Just got the plat with the exact same method. Thanks for the advice!
Matt says
That is where my trophy popped aswell a hour ago, however the Teetotaller trophy is just NOT popping for me… finished my 2th run with no Healing as Emily now, nothing popped, not as Emily or Edward…it’s frustrating me bcs it’s my Last trophy…
Jessica Juliano says
Same I got the locks and safe trophy at this point but now I’ve completed the game 6 times no trophy for not healing?! This is after recent patch so idk
Natalia says
Did they fix Teetotaller trophy? It’s the only trophy I am missing. I will keep trying to get it…
Hko says
Delete all your savefiles and start a complete new game. I deleted all from my ps5 and it works for me.
Natalia says
Finally got it. I deleted my save and updated to version 1.05. Then played as Edward without healing and got trophy and Platinum.
Adam says
For the trophy where you are not allowed to heal at any time, does it matter if you die? Thanks.
Adam says
Not to worry. I got it and the platinum now! Did a run with Emily and didn’t get the no healing trophy. Did a speed run in around two hours with Edward and the no healing trophy popped fine on latest patch! Works better with him. Glitched for Emily I think. Anyone struggling with all clues, I thought I had them all and the trophy didn’t pop. I started a new game with Edward, re-read the first two auto clues at the beginning and the trophy popped right away!
KISSfan81 says
Did you have to collect all the clues with both characters? I did a run with Edward and only focused on the Edward only clues. No trophy pop.
Hko says
For the Teetotaller trophy, i deleted all savegame data from the ps5 and started a complete new game. And then i got the trophy. I think the game remembers if you heal in other playthrough
chucro says
Make sense because it saves everything. I made the mistake of not talking to Batiste the first time I saw him and I had to start a new game up to that point to get the Chatterbox trophy. Also I think that you have to beat the final boss. Did you do that?
KIBA22 says
Hi everyone, (sorry for my english) have the glitched trophies been fixed?
ObsiEez says
All except for Teetotaller still I believe. You can still earn it, but it seems to be a bit wonky with the unlock requirements, where some are unlocking it & others aren’t even when doing the same thing
AlexSobecki says
The way I was able to get Teetotaller to pop was never reloading an autosave, only manual. Also made sure to never accidentally hit the heal button because I think even if you reload, your save is just forever tainted if you do that somehow.
ziggurcat says
Finished the game without healing, and I did not get the teetotaller trophy…
Lord Malachite says
I can confirm that Teetotaller unlocked for me under the following conditions
1. Played as Edward
2. Used the “delete all saves” option prior to beginning the run–this clears out any data saved in the memory where you may have drank previously, However, it will also clear out all of your lasniappes.
3. Collected the three necessary lagniappes to get the One Of The Thousand Young ending. This allows you to skip the final boss fight.
Under these conditions, the trophy unlocked with no problems under the most current patch. Happy hunting to anyone still needing this trophy!
Lord Malachite says
As an addendum, I did also only load manual saves, never an autosave.
ziggurcat says
New patch claims to have fixed Teetotaller, but it did not. Loaded my no heal run at the end where I can choose to give the gift to Grace or fight Black Goat, and the trophy still doesn’t pop.
ziggurcat says
I chose to give the gift to Grace to avoid the annoying boss fight.
ziggurcat says
@Lord Malachite I don’t think any of that matters (i.e. deleting saves, only loading manual saves). You’re also supposed to be able to get it playing as Edward or Emily), so I doubt it matters which character you play, either.
I’m doing a speedrun with Edward right now, and I’m not healing just in case, but my Emily playthrough – where I did not heal – hasn’t resulted in the trophy being awarded on the new patch (I started the playthrough on 1.03) even after loading my save right at the end, and chose to give the gift to Grace to avoid the boss fight.
If they did fix the trophy, I’m guessing they did the BS thing where they force you to start a brand new game on the new patch.
Lord Malachite says
It definitely made a difference to me deleting all the saves, as I also did not get the Teetotaler trophy when I did a run prior. It seems the game can remember if you’ve drank on any playthrough, just like it remembers your collected clues and lagniappes across multiple playthroughs.
Speaking from experience, I would do as I said above. Use the in-game command to delete all saves. Start a new game as Edward on easy. Be very careful never to drink. Collect the 3 lagniappes that you need to get the One Of The Thousand Young ending–this will let you bypass fighting the final boss. As an extra precaution, only load manual saves if you find you took too much damage in an area. Save very frequently to avoid a lot of backtracking if you do ever need a reload.
I was able to unlock Teetotaler on my first try doing these things. I only ever played the game on the patched version, as I held off playing it when I read that trophies were glitched. None of the trophies failed to unlock for me under their conditions save Teetotaler, and the method that I used above indeed fixed it and I’m a proud owner of the Platinum trophy.
If you’re concerned about losing all your lagniappes for the secret ending with Grace, bear in mind that if you have any level of Plus, you can back your saves up to the cloud before deleting them all in game. Once you’ve obtained Teetotaler, you can again delete all the saves in game then redownload your original ones to restore all your clues and lagniappes.
Alex says
Nobody Knows What Happened trophy is not unlocking for me. I have the latest patch as well. Any solutions? I have tried this with both Emily and Edward with all the lagnipipes.
Sgt_Phantomizer says
Same here.
Ralf says
Die Trophäe Bibliothekar ist auch verbugt oder? Den Hinweis “Der dunkle Mann kommt herein” habe ich leider nicht gefunden oder erhalten.
Translation: The Librarian trophy is also bugged, right? Unfortunately I didn’t find or receive the clue “The dark man comes in”.
Ralf says
Edit….das ist ja da, wo der Schattenmann in den Fahrstuhl kam als man das Buch genommen hat. Sorry Mein Fehler.
Translation: That’s where the shadow man came into the elevator when you took the book. Sorry, my mistake.
BladeSpain says
I cant get the trophy Nobody Knows Whats Happening, and after that, the screen goes black when solving the puzzle in the attic in chapter 4. I cant continue the game Please, fix that
Mesc says
Just wanted to say since the last update it seems the timer does stop when you pause the game. At least that’s the case with easy difficulty. Plan on going for 3hr run trophy after finishing my 1st Emily playthru.
InnesJack says
Hello, is this confirmed for sure that the timer stops when you pause? Are the buggy trophies now fixed with latest patches? Thankyou in advance
John says
Is the Teetotaller trophy still glitched?
