Assassin’s Creed Valhalla All Ability Locations

November 7, 2020 by PowerPyx Leave a Comment

Abilities are a type of Collectible in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). This guide shows where to find all Ability Locations in AC Valhalla. They are needed for the Completionist All the Way trophy or achievement (100% Completion).

Ability Runes count as Wealth Collectibles. On the world map they are marked by this icon: . You can still access all regions after the story to find them.

Abilities are collected as ability runes in the open world. They unlock new usable abilities. You can assign up to 8 abilities total (4 ranged, 4 melee). Knowing where they are is very useful to get the abilities you’re looking for. Try to get these early on for more variety in combat. Using abilities requires adrenalin, the golden bar above your health. You can recharge adrenalin by eating certain mushrooms. You can unlock more adrenalin bars from the skill tree with skill points.

For a region by region guide of all Wealth refer to this guide: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla All Wealth Locations

Ability #5: Harpoon Impalement Melee Ability

Right next to the Wealth icon, there is a secret entrance which is a ladder going down a hole. Climb down, go round the corner and destroy the wooden board you can see next to the gate which the Book of Knowledge is behind. Jump down into the water, siwm round, destroy the wall by shooting the oil jar and claim the chest.

Ability #6: Raven Distraction Ranged Ability

Firstly, you’ll need to pick up the key from the longhouse (shown in the screenshots below). Then, unlock the door signified by a secret passage icon, then head through the linear path to a piece of Gear Wealth. In the room next to the gear wealth you find the ability rune.

Ability #7: Piercing Shot Ranged Ability

In Templebrough Fort, climb in the room through the window and take out the guards.

Ability #8: Focus Of The Nornir Ranged Ability

Immediately below Oxenefordscire Wealth #16 (Gear), you’ll find another barricade that you can move to reveal a hole leading to the room below.

This is only accessible after advancing the Sciropescire story arc to the point where you raid the castle. To the left of the throne room is the ability room, but it’s a locked room that has 2 barred doors. The only way to access it is to detonate the breakable wall in the corridor on the left. But first we need to go to the opposite hall on the right to grab 2 oil jars, see below.

Carry the oil jar back to the breakable wall on the side of the ability rune room and throw it at the wall to detonate. Then the ability can be picked up.

Ability #23: Focus of the Nornir Upgrade

Inside Bolingbroc Castle, in an enemy guarded area, in plain sight.

Essexe

Ability #24: Harpoon Impalement Upgrade

Enter the church to find a locked door. The key is on the other side of the church, but to get to it you need to move a platform left of the bar entrance to the church. Then, shoot the lock from the next ladder and climb up.

Go to the back of the church and shoot the wooden barricade down. From here shoot the door lock down and enter the room from the other side.

Suthsexe

Just next to there is an exploding vase, pick that vase up and carry it along the path which you just opened up. When close to the blocked door, throw it at the door to clear the way.
