Cairns are a type of Collectible in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). This guide shows where to find all Cairn Locations in AC Valhalla (17 total). They are needed for the Completionist All the Way trophy or achievement (100% Completion).
Cairns count as Mysteries. On the world map they are marked by this icon: . You can still access all regions after the story to find them.
Cairns require you to stack some rocks on each other. You can rotate them and the goal is for them to all stay stacked without falling apart. After stacking them you must confirm the structure and if it holds together it will count as completed. Some can be a bit tricky so this guide will also include images how to solve them.
For a region by region guide of all Mysteries refer to this guide: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Mysteries Guide

I did not like doing these things either but saw it as a personal challenge that still frustrates me to no end.
Carlos says
Me: busy and with little time to game
Ubisoft: let’s stack stones for an hour
Jonathan Blansett says
You know I actually enjoined the rock stacking. Frustrating at times but I made some really cool designs.
Beartrap says
Thanks for the Guide. For anyone who runs into trouble you can create a save it will save your stack progress, that way if you do mess up and they topple over you won’t have to start from scratch.
Isak says
These monstrosities really are an absolute master class in piss poor game design. Like chasing scraps of paper across rooftops for literally useless cosmetics.
Tim says
I actually found this activity enjoyable and very easy, except for two of them.
