There are also missable side quests but these don’t matter for trophies.

- PS4/PS5 Crossbuy: No, game doesn’t have a PS4 version
- Free-Roam / Level Select after Story?: Yes, there is still free-roam after the story and can still do all trophy-related quests/collectibles. - Supports Manual Saves?: No, only 1 Autosave, can’t manual save in this game
- Release Date: December 07, 2023
Introduction
Welcome to the Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Trophy Guide! The structure of this game is very similar to Far Cry. There is an open world with enemy bases to conquer, several collectibles, and some side quests. For platinum you need around 85% game completion. Only 4 side questlines are needed, all of which are still available after the story. Almost all side quests can be skipped. Some collectible types aren’t needed while others are either partially or fully required. The Hunter’s Log, which tracks all scanned flora/fauna, doesn’t need to be completed either. Overall this is a relatively easy and relaxing Platinum. You can approach this any way you want. Either clear the Outposts and Collectibles as you play through the story or do them afterward in one go. While there are some missable Audio Logs and Notes, you only need 30 of each and there are more, so even if you miss everything possible there are still enough for trophy purposes.
Step 1: Story + Scan Plants/Wildlife [15-20 Hours]
Focus on finishing the story first. As part of the story you unlock the ability to fly everywhere and destroy story-related bases needed for 100% Air Quality. What difficulty you pick doesn’t matter, can do everything on ‘Easy’. It’s recommended to scan all plants and wildlife you encounter, this will add them to the Hunter’s Guide, allowing you to track their locations in the future. Pick up any collectibles you come across to reduce backtracking. None of the trophies are missable so you can’t mess anything up.
Tips & Time-Savers:
- [TIME SAVER – Scan everything for Wildlife Expert, Great Gatherer] – Scan everything you see for 20 gatherable wildlife & 30 plant entries in Hunter’s Guide. Early in the game you unlock the ability to scan with + . Keep scanning after getting these trophies, it will come in handy for the Community Contributions questlines. Scanned items can be pinned in the Hunters Log, then on the map you can press to see their location, makes it easy to find specific materials when you need them for quests or crafting.
- [TIME SAVER – Stash 1 of each Flora/Fauna for One with the Clans] – Harvest at least 1 of each plant / wildlife you see, store 1 of each unique type in the stash, found at the Resistance HQ. You must deliver items to each Clan’s Community Basket to finish Part 3 of the Community Contributions questlines. If you keep 1 of each item you can reduce the search later.
- [Leveling Up] – There is no traditional XP Leveling System, the level is based on your equipped gear. If you rush the story you will be underleveled. On Easy difficulty you can get away with being 2 levels below requirement. If you are underleveled, trade your Clan Favor (earned from quests) for Weapons & Armor at Clan Merchants. Trade ‘Spare Parts’ at the Resistance HQ for gear. Always pick the gear that gives the biggest level increase. Buying skills also increases the level slightly.
- [Loot Any Crates/Baskets you Find] – Crates and Baskets give useful rewards. Large Yellow Crates give gear, they are often found at Outposts. Small Yellow Crates give Spare Parts, used to buy gear at Resistance HQ. Wicker Baskets can unlock Specialty Cooking Recipes and Materials. Other containers have food or ammo.
- [Best Skills] – The most important skill is “Well Prepared” from the Warrior Skill Tree to unlock a 4th weapon slot. Equipping a 4th weapon increases your level significantly. Also buy “Extra Ammo I” (Warrior) to carry twice as many arrows, “Expert Ammunition Crafter” (Maker) to craft twice as much, and anything from the Survivor Skill tree for more health pouch charges and increased overall health. After unlocking the Flying Mount you unlock the 5th skill tree, buy “Aerial Fishing” (Rider) to replenish your mount’s energy without spending food.
- [Combat Tactics] – Even on Easy you take a lot of damage. The best strategy is to hide behind rocks and shoot enemies with arrows from a safe distance. When entering combat always consume food to keep your energy filled, this will automatically recharge health. If it’s too difficult, spend some time leveling up. The most efficient approach is to conquer other Outposts and loot their big yellow crates for gear, or play side quests to get Clan Favor and trade for gear.
- [Resistance HQ becomes unavailable (doesn’t affect trophies)] – The hub area where you accept most main quests is called “Resistance HQ“. This location becomes unavailable after Main Quest 20: Victory Celebration. There are some missable side quests there but they don’t matter for trophies. Any Audio Logs & Notes from this location respawn at another Resistance HQ later in the story. It won’t lock you out of any trophies, so don’t be alarmed when the Resistance HQ disappears.
Step 2: Collectibles & 100% Air Quality [20-30 Hours]
For trophies you need around 85% game completion. The only collectible types not required are: Resistance Field Labs, Memory Paintings, Ikran Gear Baskets. Of everything else you need either all or some. For 100% Air Quality you must destroy all RDA buildings, indicated by the brown color on the map. Here’s everything you need:
RDA Installations / Outposts / Bases for 100% Air Quality:
- All 35 RDA Installations (smallest buildings, looking like drills) – Reclaim Pandora
- All 19 RDA Outposts (mid-size buildings, looking like fortresses) – Reclaim Pandora
- All 3 RDA Bases (larger form of Outposts) – Reclaim Pandora
Collectibles – All Needed:
- All 9 Windswept Kites – Tethered Kites
- All 9 Windswept Dolls – Doll Collector
- All 11 Bladewing Moths – Fleet-Footed
- All 12 Sarentu Totems – Vision of the Ancestors
- All 17 Aeolian Wind Flutes – In Harmony
- All 9 Recon Retrievals (9 Data Collectors on in-game map) – Data Retriever
- All 9 Mycelium Network Activities (9 Budding Watchers on in-game map) – Mushroom Navigator
- All 11 Treasure Hunt Comics (11 Computer Terminals on in-game map) – Father and Son in the Stars
Collectibles – Not All Needed:
- 3 Tarsyu Flowers (unlocks Ancestor Skills) – Talk to the Ancestors
- 20 Bellsprigs (increases Health) – Full Bloom
- 20 Tarsyu Saplings (gives Skill Points) – Sprouting Potential
- 30 Notes – Story Guardian
- 30 Audio Logs – A Good Listener
Step 3: Side Quests (Steady Wings Side Quest + Part 3 of Aranahe, Zeswa, Kame’tire Community Contributions Questline) [5 Hours]
After you got all Collectibles, the only things left are 2 side quest trophies.
- Kinglor Carer – talk to Etuwa at Kinglor Forest > Hometree (Aranahe Clan Home). He’s on the top floor of the Hometree. This starts side quest “Steady Wings”. It consists of 3 Parts. After each Part you must talk to Etuwa again at the top of the Hometree to start the next Part. The questline requires you to guide a moth to trees. Track the quest to get map markers for each objective.
- One with the Clans – requires you to do Part 3 of the Clan Community Contribution questlines. These are started by interacting with Community Baskets at Camps (they look like red tents on the map). This questline requires you to deliver specific plants, wildlife, and cooked meals. If you followed the advice from Step 1 and stored everything you found in the Stash, you should already have most of what you need. If you always scanned everything you can pin the required items in the Hunter’s Guide, open the World Map and press to see their locations. You must always interact with a different Community Basket at a different camp to get a new delivery request.

No Easy Prey Defeat a thanator (non-feral). |
||
Thanator (Non-Feral) is a big black cat-like animal. It is only found in Kinglor Forest > Gossamer Lakes: Enter this area and the screen will turn white. You will start to hear a heartbeat. Walk around the area in the direction where the heartbeat gets louder. The louder the heartbeat gets, the closer you are to the Thanator. When you get close enough he will attack you. It’s a level 20 enemy. You should be at least Level 16 for this and play on easy difficulty. After the story you will be strong enough. Note that there are also “feral” Thanators which you sometimes encounter in missions and in the wilderness, but these don’t unlock the trophy. Only the “non-feral” variant counts. |
||
Talk to the Ancestors Unlock three Ancestor Skills. |
||
Ancestor Skills are unlocked by interacting with the red Tarsyu Flowers. There are 12 of these total, you only need any 3. They all get marked automatically on the map after interacting with the first Tarsyu Flower in Main Quest 4: Songs of the Ancestor.
It’s recommended to first unlock the Flying Mount from the story in Main Quest 11: Take Flight. This makes it easier to reach the Tarsyu Flowers. You can see how many Tarsyu Skills you unlocked by clicking Touchpad > Skills > at the bottom it says how many of 12 Ancestor Skills you got. ||
Hunter’s Guide Entries of gatherable wildlife are unlocked by holding and pressing to inspect animals. Only the ones that can be collected will count towards the trophy. You can keep track by pressing Touchpad > Hunter’s Guide > Type > Wildlife (gatherable). Simply roam around and scan all animals you see. Alternatively, killing and harvesting animals also adds them to your Hunter’s Guide without scanning them. | ||

Cooking Pot Pro Unlock three recipes for specialty dishes. |
||
Specialty Recipes are sometimes unlocked from quest rewards or looted from Wicker Baskets. To see how many Specialty Recipes you unlocked, interact with a Cooking Station (found at Resistance HQ and at any Camp) > press “Recipes” > there will be a section for “Specialties” and another for “Recipes”. Only the ones listed under “Specialties” count (regular Recipes don’t count).
The best approach is to loot any Wicker Basket you come across. If you regularly do this you will unlock more than enough Recipes naturally while going for Platinum. What exactly you get from Baskets is random so there are no guaranteed spawns for this. |
||
Apprentice Crafter Craft a weapon or gear piece of ‘superior’ rarity or higher. |
||
First, you must unlock a weapon/armor crafting recipe of purple (superior) or yellow (exquisite) rarity. You get these from talking to merchants in the 3 Clan’s settlements, which you visit automatically during the story. Talk to a merchant and press to switch to the “Designs” tab. Then redeem all recipes they offer. They don’t cost anything so just grab them all. A merchant that offers this is in the Clouded Forest > Stone Cloud Valley > The Hollows.
Now go to a crafting table, these are found in every Clan settlement. It will show all available crafting recipes. If you don’t have the required materials you can press to pin the materials. Then open the map (Touchpad) and press for the Material Tracker and to cycle between the materials. It will show where to find them. On the world map you can also press to show biomes that contain the materials. They will also show a “scent” line when nearby and scanning the relevant area with . But if you’re lucky you will already have found the required crafting materials. You can also talk to merchants at each Clan settlement if they are selling the materials you need (trade them for clan favor). |

Father and Son in the Stars Collect all treasure hunt comics. |

Reclaim Pandora Reach an air quality level of 100%. |
||
For this you must destroy all enemy Installations / Outposts / Bases. They are polluting the environment and destroying them helps clean the air. You can track the overall Air Quality level via the trophy list by clicking on the ‘Reclaim Pandora’ trophy. From story progress you will also unlock a quest called ‘Cleaning the Air’, then you can check Air Quality at the Resistance HQ too.
Below are locations to everything needed for this. RDA Installations are the smallest enemy buildings, Outposts are mid-sized fortresses, and bases are the largest. On the map they have a brown color around them, which you can see even if the map is still fogged. |

One with the Clans Complete part 3 of the Aranahe Community, Zeswa Community, and Kame’tire Community side quests. |
||
There are 3 Clans in the game, one in each of the 3 regions. Kinglor Forest = Aranahe Clan / Upper Plains = Zeswa Clan / Clouded Forest = Kame’tire Clan.
For this trophy you must complete Part 3 of their “Community Contributions” questlines. These start by interacting with a Community Basket. One is always found at the Clan’s Home and the rest at Camps that look like red tents on the world map. Upon interacting with a Community Basket you get a popup that shows “New Clan Contributions” and asks you to deliver a specific plant or animal part. You can then track these by pressing Touchpad > Quests > Clan Contributions. In order to finish Part 3 you must do around 15 Clan Contribution deliveries per Clan (Kame’tire Clan requires fewer).
To unlock a new Contribution Quest you have to interact with a different Community Basket every time. Interacting with the same basket won’t give a new Contribution quest. After you’ve unfogged the map you’ll see outlines of red tents on the map that represent camps. Each of them has a community basket. Interact with one in each camp to unlock all required Contribution Quests. It is recommended to first unfog most of the map and save this trophy for last. After you’ve been near each camp you can fast travel there immediately. After unfogging the map you’ll also be able to filter by habitat to see which area contains what sort of resources (also see Habitats Map). To do this press on the world map. Under Quests > Clan Contributions, it will show the required item and what main region it is in (below the quest name it will say in green text “Kinglor Forest” / “Clouded Forest” / “Upper Plains”). This will give you a search area to narrow it down, then use the Map’s habitat filter to see what areas are most likely to have this plant/animal. Additionally, you can use the Hunter’s Guide to track gatherable plants/wildlife, but only if you’ve scanned or harvested one before. Hence you should always scan everything you come across. In the Hunter’s Guide press to pin a required material, then on World Map press to view the location and to cycle between pinned materials. You can reduce the search by always harvesting anything you find and storing it in the stash in the Clan Homes (looks like a basket). If you’re lucky you will already have what you need and can pull it from your stash to put it in the Community Basket immediately. Important: The Zeswa Clan contribution questline may get “stuck” at Part 2. This is not a bug, to advance this questline you must complete side quests for the Zeswa clan. In case any other contributions questline gets stuck, do all available side quests for that Clan first to advance it. *Potential Bug* |
||
Kinglor Carer Complete the final Steady Wings side quest. |
||
For this you must finish all 3 Parts of the “Steady Wings” side questline.
Each of these side quests starts in Kinglor Forest > Hometree (Aranahe Clan Home). On the top floor of the Hometree talk to Etuwa. Interact with the flower behind Etuwa to take out the queen moth. Track the quest from the quests menu, it will show green waypoints on the map. You must lead the queen moth there while keeping her stress levels low: don’t swim, don’t fly, don’t engage in combat. Running will increase the stress level but this is okay as long as you don’t reach maximum stress. Go to the waypoint to put the queen in a tree, then you get another waypoint to the next tree. After finishing Part 1, talk to the same quest giver at the top of Hometree again to get Part 2. After Part 2 talk to him again for Part 3. After finishing Part 3 the trophy will unlock. |
||
Becoming Na’vi Unlock 3 skills in each skill tree. |
||
There are 5 Skill Trees, accessed by pressing Touchpad > Skills. Initially you only have access to 4 skill trees. The 5th skill tree unlocks after you unlock the flying mount in Main Quest 11: Take Flight. Simply buy any 3 skills in all 5 skill trees (15 skills total). You can pick the cheapest ones.
All Skill Trees:
You gain Skill Points from some quests, from interacting with Tarsyu Flowers and Tarsyu Saplings. |

I enjoyed everything about the game and trophies until this popped up lol

@PowerPyx So it just sounds like they’re hard to find. Well, good luck! Hopefully soon. At least they give you some hints.

Thank you for the trophy guide. Personally, I’m done with the Far Cry formula after I played Far Cry 3, 4, and Blood Dragon years ago, so this game being another Far Cry with an Avatar skin is disappointing. At the very least, just as I expected, the Platinum trophy is easy and no co-op trophies are present, which is good. However, in typical Ubisoft fashion, even though this game costs £69.99, it has microtransactions, both being unacceptable (instead it should cost £59.99 and have no microtransactions).
MidnightDragonDX says
How do you know if nothing is missable, glitched, or online if nobody (as of this posting) has the dolls yet?
PowerPyx says
I got them all, will post guide soon.

Seeing everything else has unlocked OK, my guess is it’s more likely it’s just a headache to find. The description kinda screams needle in a haystack. I’d help, but not playing until Thursday. I can if it hasn’t been figured out by the time I start looking. At least you have a general area to search.

Gathering quests do not work at all in co-op and totems work for host only.
darks-nico says
⚠️ ⚠️ The co-op mode can be buggy, back from a co-op session when I want to pass the mission already done I have a black screen with infinite loading … I tried several things to unlock me (turn off the console, re-join a co-op session nothing does … ) thank you ubisoft 🙂

My Reclaim Pandora trophy isn’t update tracking even in HQ said same percent with trophy tracking. I took over 2 different RDA Installations and they not update air quality. It’s when I took one of Installations 25% stuck than took over other one it ie increase to 26% then I took over other one and now 26% stuck. I checked both HQ and trophy % and both show same 26%. Is this bug or?
Cruella79 says
I’m bugged with Zeswa contribution part 2, unable to progress as it says continue with quests but finished game and won’t update doing some of the minor ones neither.
Cruella79 says
Got it working but it’s for sure tied too more side quests, at least in particicular the one you need too help 3 people in clouded sky (the animal, make food and deliever for 2 persons, follow steps from another by go up waterfall and end in cave), so that was pretty much second too last side quests I didn’t do in game, but ok makes sense why that one is on 0,1% still.
Was worried all hours went too waste looking here and not seeing requirement of the quest as I had done all mentioned there, but thank you for guide, I did have 2 gliders I overlooked that saved some time, at end I was just ready to be done. ☺️

I was just attacked by a non-feral thanator after completing the Budding Watcher to the right of Carver’s River, (in the Cradling Pines) so it looks like there are a few places to get the thanator, not just Gossamer Lake

Is the air quality 100% tracker bugged or something I feel like it is or my game is bugged cause I’m at 76% only 3 outposts left. Worried all this was for nothing

Thank you for the guide. Took me 58 hours for the platinum. This has been the most fun I’ve had with a Ubisoft game since The Division 1

I am close to 100%, but the delivery quests for the 3 tribes is exhausting. I hope, the delivered items for the Upper Plains count, before i get the certain quest. It is not plausible what i have to do more, to trigger the questline.
Smithie31401 says
*Update* you have to fullfill a certain side quest to deliver the Zeswa-Clan. I completed the other 2 clans, without doing the side quest “Flavor of the past”

Are quest objectives bugged or something, in the beginning of the game when you have to destroy the emergency flare i shot it like 20 times and nothing happened until i watched a tutorial on YouTube and shot the emergency flare in a specific spot.
