Starting Location: Transaction-Packed

Transaction Packed Location: Nekrotafeyo, Desolation’s Edge

Pick up ECHO cartridge

Upon accepting the quest from the crashed spacecraft, you’ll receive a call from Claptrap over the radio. He tells you of a beta build of a game called “Destroyer of Worlds” and wants you to test it.

First we must pick up the cartridge which is just a few steps north-east in the nearest ravine.

Talk to… the hologram?

Talk to the purple hologram that spawns right where you found the cartridge. He wants you to test the “early access beta” Destroyer of Worlds. It’s clearly a joke as what follows is a mess of broken animations that pokes fun at betas.

Find first portal hotspot

Head over to the marked spot.

Talk to Mickey

Once there, talk to the purple hologram again. And let this glitchy adventure begin. The bugs in this mission are intentional.

Follow and protect Lana

Now all we must do is follow the purple hologram and shoot the enemies. When the hologram gets knocked out, revive it.

Buy upgrade

Along the rest of the level you’ll keep seeing screens where you can shoot a green checkmark or red “X” icon. Always shoot the green checkmark to make things a bit easier and quicker.

Destroy Portal

A portal will block the way. Shoot the portal so Lana can keep walking.

Continue protecting Lana

Keep killing enemies and reviving Lana when she goes down.

Buy the same upgrade again

The game makes fun of microtransactions here. Lana is slowing down and the minigame wants you to buy the same speed upgrade from earlier a second time. Just shoot the green checkmark to speed things up.

Continue protecting Lana

Keep defending Lana.

Destroy Portal

Another portal blocks Lana’s path so destroy that again. Yeah, a bit repetitive that “beta mission”.

Protect Lana… again

You know the drill by now, keep defending the hologram.

Keep forking over money

And yet again the minigame wants us to buy the same microtransaction. Third time’s the charm. Just shoot the green checkmark.

Protect Lana… again (continued)

After the third microtransaction purchase, Lana will have some pathing bugs and just “teleport” away. At some point she spawns on the left side of a river. Jump over to her.

Destroy Portal

Lana runs into a third portal, how very original. Destroy it.

Talk to Mickey

We’ve nearly made it. Lana stops for a moment and we can talk to Mickey, the purple hologram that started the whole minigame in the first place.

Find second portal Hotspot

The first minigame is complete but there’s two more. Head into the building up ahead.

Talk to Mickey

Talk to the purple hologram to start part 2 of the mission. No worries, this one is shorter.

Find and gather an energy source

Jump up the pillars in the middle of the room to find a purple energy ball up top.

Upon interacting with the energy, it bugs out and sprays 100 small balls around the room. Start collecting them. Yes, this is intentionally broken.

Gather ALL energy sources: 0/100

Some balls are on the pillars and some on the floor. But it’s easiest to focus on the ones on the floor as new balls will fall down.

Optional: Purchase a non-predatory upgrade

After picking up a few of the balls, Mickey offers you to buy another microtransaction. Shoot the blinking green checkmark to the right of Lana. It instantly skips the entire section so you don’t have to collect all 100 balls, yay!

Give energy sources to Lana

Put the energy balls in Lana’s stretched-out hand.

Destroy Portal

Shoot the portal that has Lana trapped.

Talk to Mickey

Talk to Mickey to finish part 2, he spawns to the right side of Lana. Only one final showdown left.

Find final portal hotspot

The last portal is in the next hall just a few steps up ahead.

Talk to Mickey

Talk to the hologram to start final showdown.

Defeat Rak’nagob, Destroyer of Worlds

The boss is completely bugged and gets stuck. He makes weird sounds and shoots stuff that doesn’t even hit or hurt you. Just a bullet sponge.

Give us money to get this over with

The game offers you another microtransaction to skip the boss battle. This kills the boss in a few hits.

Destroy Rak’nagob’s portal

Shoot the final portal where Lana is trapped, behind the boss.

Talk to Mickey

And finally, for a very last time talk to Micky to finish the mission. At least you get a unique Sniper Rifle as a reward, called “Kenulax”. It even has the red text “Live life like it’s early access” in the description. It’s only blue rarity but actually a fairly good weapon because it shoots two bullets at once so it deals a lot of damage per second, similar to Atlas rifles.

This finishes Transaction-Packed side mission in Borderlands 3. If you did all other missions for Claptrap already, you can now accept his mission “Baby Dancer”.
