Introduction
Welcome to the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2023) Trophy Guide! The trophies in COD MW3 are split between different modes: Campaign, MWZ (zombies mode), Open Combat Missions (a special type of open world campaign mission). There is a difficulty-related trophy for beating the campaign on Veteran. There are mission-specific trophies that can only be done in certain missions so try to do these as you play through the campaign. If you are familiar with COD games you can start on Veteran right away. Most of the mission-specific trophies can easily be done on Veteran but if you find anything too difficult you can come back for it later in Mission Select. If you don’t mind doing 2 playthroughs you can do a run on ‘Recruit’ (Easy) first to get all Mission-specific trophies out of the way, then do a 2nd run on Veteran. There’s Mission Select so nothing is missable. It’s best to play the campaign first to familiarize with various weapons, then tackle Open Combat Mission trophies and MWZ. In MWZ a 6-player squad is needed for the trophy to defeat Orcus.
Important: Only the PS4 version has a Platinum and standalone trophy list. The PS5 list is a DLC for Modern Warfare 2 and DOESN’T have a Platinum trophy.
Step 1: Finish Story on Veteran + Mission-specific Trophies
Beat the campaign on Veteran. Along the way, do the Mission-specific Trophies, all are listed below in chronological order. If you find a trophy too difficult on Veteran, you can replay it later on Recruit difficulty via Mission Select. Alternatively, if you want to have an easier experience and don’t mind 2 playthroughs, you could do a run on Recruit first to grab all Mission-specific trophies, then you will already know map layouts and enemy placements for Veteran.
Trophies in chronological order by Mission – you can also follow the YouTube Video Playlist (same order):
- Mission 1: Operation 627 – Death Row
- Mission 2: Precious Cargo – Floater
- Mission 3: Reactor – Helo Hat Trick + That’s One Way to Do It… + Hey, Catch! + Have You Tried Turning it Off and On? + I Call Shotgun! + High Wire Act
- Mission 4: Payload – 2-fer
- Mission 5: Deep Cover – Back in the Field
- Mission 8: Flashpoint – Shot Blocked
- Mission 9: Oligarch – Think She’ll Notice?
- Mission 10: Highrise – Elevator Out of Order
- Mission 11: Frozen Tundra – Snow Angel
- Mission 12: Gora Dam – Hitchhiker
- Mission 13: Danger Close – Your tax dollars at work
Step 2: Open Combat Missions (All Weapons, Field Upgrades, Armaments, Plate Carrier Upgrades)
Open Combat Missions are specific open world Campaign Missions that show a skull-icon in Mission Select. There are 6 Open Combat Missions in the Campaign:
- Mission 2: Precious Cargo (Open Combat)
- Mission 3: Reactor (Open Combat)
- Mission 7: Crash Site (Open Combat)
- Mission 9: Oligarch (Open Combat)
- Mission 10: Highrise (Open Combat)
- Mission 12: Gora Dam (Open Combat)
In these missions you must collect all Weapons and Field Upgrades from Supply Boxes, all Plate Carrier Upgrades, and find/use all Armaments (Killstreaks). Each of these missions has a counter in the pause menu, bottom left corner, saying “Weapons and Items Discovered”, you must find everything. They also show a tracker in Mission Select. The maps get unfogged by going everywhere, items you found will be marked on the map with an icon. Of the Armaments/Killstreaks you only need 1 of each unique type.
Step 3: MWZ Trophies (Zombie Mode) & Level 55
“MWZ” is the open world Zombies Mode in Modern Warfare 3. The main task in this mode is to finish Act III, defeat the Warlord and Orcus bosses, and then grind 50,000 kills. You will automatically reach level 55 while going for 50,000 kills, so there’s no need to play Multiplayer at all. The player level is shared between MWZ and Multiplayer (gaining a level in one mode also increases the level in the other mode). To advance through the Acts you must complete all MWZ Story Missions, these can be seen in the bottom right corner of the MWZ main menu. Click the Story Missions tab to see the requirements, they are repetitive tasks like doing certain types of kills. Luckily, all of the MWZ missions can be skipped if you have a friend who already finished Act 3. Someone can simply invite you to the Act 3 Orcus endboss, this way you can earn the trophies for Act 3 & Orcus by joining another player, without needing to play through the MWZ Acts yourself.

How to boost Act 3 + Orcus boss trophies: The easiest option is to play in a party of 6 players, make squads of 3 players each. One of you must have unlocked the final Act 3 mission to spawn Orcus. Both squads must search for a match at the same time, if the match ‘beep’ sound countdown starts for one squad but not the other it means you aren’t being put in the same match, quit the search before the match starts, search again. Keep searching until the match starts for both squads at the same time (coordinate this via voice chat). Then you should end up in the same match, if not exfil to not lose your gear and search again. Check the map where the Aether storm spawned, if it’s at the same location for both squads you’re in the same match. Then meet up, send a squad invite with to create a 6 player squad, the other squad must accept by holding and choosing to join. Then have the player who finished Act 3 initiate the Orcus boss, defeat him in a 6 player squad, the trophies for finishing Act 3 + Orcus will unlock for all joining players. This is a huge time-saver as you can skip all MWZ acts and makes the Platinum much easier.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2023) Trophy Guide
Important: Only the PS4 version has a Platinum and standalone trophy list. The PS5 list is a DLC for Modern Warfare 2 and DOESN’T have a Platinum trophy.
A Soldier’s Purpose Collect all the Trophies |
||
*PS4 Exclusive*
Earn all other trophies to unlock Platinum. Only the PS4 version has a Platinum Trophy. The PS5 list is a DLC for Modern Warfare 2 and DOESN’T have a platinum. |
||
The First Step Reach Level 55 |
||
The player level is shared between Zombies & Multiplayer Mode. While going for 50,000 kills in Zombies you will reach Level 55 automatically, so there’s no need to play Multiplayer. You can also enable XP boosters (if you unlocked any) to level up faster, this is best combined with farming zombie kills at the Exil Helicopter in MWZ.
If the trophy doesn’t pop after reaching Level 55 in Zombies, simply open Multiplayer Mode and play a match and it should pop. |
||
And So It Begins Successfully Exfil in MWZ |
||
In MWZ, an exfiltration icon will appear on the map (you can press Touchpad to open the map and to mark it). Go there, defend until the helicopter arrives, climb onto the helicopter and let it fly away to exfil. You can do this right from the start of the match.
Write Off Kill 500 Enemies using an Insured Weapon in MWZ |
||
“Insured Weapons” can be equipped in the Gear section of MWZ before matches. Click a weapon slot > at the top click “Insured Slot 1” > select a weapon in this slot > equip it to a gear slot. In the Loadout menu it will no longer show the red word “Contraband” below the weapon, that’s how you know you correctly equipped your insured weapon. The Insured Slot will also say “currently equipped to Primary/Secondary”.
Now use such a weapon to kill a total of 500 zombies. You can pack-a-punch it to make it stronger. |
||
Perkaholic Have 9 perks active at the same time in MWZ |
||
There are the following 9 perks in MWZ:
You must have all 9 equipped at the same time. There are a couple of ways to do this. The easiest approach would be to stockpile one of each type of randomly dropped Perk-a-Cola. Exfil with them in your Rucksack (purple items), then go to MWZ Menu > Gear > Rucksack > Unequip the Perk-a-Cola to put it in the stash. The Stash can hold up to 10 items total so it will be able to fit 9 different Perk-a-Colas. Additionally, you may get lucky and get Crafting Schematics from Contract Rewards. If you get a Crafting Schematic for a Perk-a-Cola, you can craft it for free by going to Gear Menu > Ruckstack > click ‘Add Item’ > Schematic Crafting > R1 to select Perk-a-Colas. The crafting schematics simply have a 3 hour cooldown but can be crafted repeatedly. You can also buy perks during matches from perk-a-cola machines, and can get random perk pickups. The perk-a-cola machines are marked on the map, open the map with Touchpad and zoom in with R1 to see their icons. This costs money during a match and buying all 9 during a single match takes a lot of money and you’d need to be quick before the time runs out. Hence, it is easier to stockpile 1 of each Perk-a-Cola in the stash. The small Rucksack only lets you carry 5 items into a match but if you find bigger Rucksacks you can carry more (you can randomly find bigger Rucksacks from loot chests or from Contract Rewards). Take your stockpiled Perk-a-Colas into the match, then simply buy the remaining Perk-a-Colas during the match. Make sure you see your missing Perk-a-Colas on the map and buy them first before consuming your one-time Perk-a-Colas from the Rucksack. |
||
Gravestone Kill 100 Zombies with a vehicle in a single deployment in MWZ |
||
Simply find a vehicle in MWZ and drive it into 100 zombies. If your vehicle starts smoking black or is low on fuel, stop at a fuel station to let it repair and refill the gas. You can exit the vehicle while it recharges to kill approaching zombies. Then keep driving into more zombies, rinse and repeat. The vehicle health and fuel is displayed at the bottom of the screen. As the vehicle health gets more red it’s getting closer to exploding. Fuel is displayed by the green bar left of the vehicle health.
Back From The Dead Reclaim your gear from a Tombstone in MWZ |
||
During a match in MWZ, buy the Tombstone Soda Perk. It will be marked on the map at a random location (press Touchpad to open map and zoom in with R1). It costs 2000 points. After buying it, intentionally get yourself killed and bleed out. Then you can leave the match immediately (press Options-Button and Leave Match). The Tombstone Soda Perk will make a gravestone where you died, which can be collected in the next match to get your gear back. Search for a new match, as soon as it starts you will see a tombstone icon where you died . Go there, interact with the tombstone and loot it to get your gear back, the trophy unlocks then.
Helpful Stranger Revive a player from a different Squad in MWZ |
||
In MWZ, up to 24 players can be in a match, each team has 1-3 players. You can see players from other teams on the map as blue arrows. Use the map (press Touchpad) to find them, stay close to them until one goes down and revive that player before someone else does. In the MWZ main menu you can press L2 to play solo (disables the “Squad Fill”), so you don’t have to worry about other squadmates stealing revives from you.
Sometimes you will also see “Plea for Help” icons (white first icon), if you see it go there, it will be a downed player you can revive. These icons appear when downed players hold to call other squads for a revive. |
||
You Can Pet The Dog Pet a Hellhound in MWZ |
||
In MWZ you can find Doghouses around the map. These get marked on the map when you go near them (they aren’t marked at the start of the match), so just drive around until one gets marked. It will say “Doghouse” when scrolling over the icon. You must deliver a “Chunk of Flesh” (blue rarity item) to a Doghouse. This is a completely random drop, no way to influence it. It’s sometimes looted from defeated zombies. After using the Chunk of Flesh on a Doghouse it will spawn a friendly Hellhound, which *sometimes* you can pet with .
There is some randomness to this trophy: first, the drop chance of Chunks of Flesh is random. Also not all friendly hellhounds work for this. Some will have the interaction prompt and some won’t. In some cases it might not spawn a hellhound at all, if this happens try at a different Doghouse or deliver 2 Chunks of Flesh together (1 is generally enough but if it doesn’t work try delivering 2 to the Doghouse). There are reports that approaching the hellhound without having a weapon equipped (only fists) and crouching in front of it can help to get the interaction prompt to appear. This is normally not required but in some cases the interaction prompt is buggy and this can help to trigger it. Try crouching and quickly swap weapons, while swapping there’s a short moment where you don’t have either weapon equipped and the hellhound can be petted. A method to farm for Chunks of Flesh is to call the Exfil helicopter, defeat all zombies, let the helicopter fly away and repeat. Sometimes you get lots of Chunks of Flesh and sometimes you might farm for an entire match and not get a single one, it’s just random luck. If a zombie drops it, the item will be on the floor where the zombie died. It’s worth noting that the Chunks of Flesh do not carry over into the next match, they are lost when you exfil the mission. So use them before exfiltrating. |
||
Hired Gun Complete 20 Contracts in MWZ |
||
Contracts are the blue-marked icons on the MWZ map. You can open the map (press Touchpad) > scroll over such an icon and press to tag it. Then go there, find the contract start, then finish the contract. There are a couple of predefined contract types that will repeat themselves throughout the map at different locations.
Seeing Red Complete 5 Contracts in the High Threat Zone in a single deployment in MWZ |
||
“High Threat Zone” is the inner city (red part on map) that’s Tier III difficulty. Go there, use the map to locate blue contract icons (press Touchpad to open map) > scroll over such an icon and press to tag it. Then go there, find the contract start, then finish the contract. Repeat for 5 Tier III zone contracts in a single match. If you get a game over you must redo 5 contracts in another match. This is one of the hardest trophies in the game.
An easy exploit to get this is to let yourself get killed in the red Tier 3 zone (bleed out and stay dead), then have another squad member finish 5 contracts in the Tier 1 zone (the easiest zone). The trophy will then unlocked for the downed player who died in the Tier 3 zone. It won’t unlock for the squadmate who is alive and does the contracts in the Tier 1 zone, only for the one who died in the Tier 3 zone. You can even get this with random players, just drive into the Tier 3 zone at the start of the match and stay in the game until the other players finished 5 Contracts. A friend can also carry you, get yourself killed and have your squadmate do Delivery Contracts in Tier 1 zone, which are the easiest ones as they don’t require defeating enemies. In case this exploit gets patched or you want to do it legit, the best approach is to focus on the Vehicle Delivery Missions in the Tier 3 zone, they are the easiest type and respawn once completed. In preparation you can do Contracts in Tier 1 until you have 5,000 points, then drive to the Tier 3 zone to purchase a legendary wallbuy weapon. Legendary weapons do a lot more damage than your starting weapons (comparable to a Pack-a-Punch level 2 weapon). Now grind the ‘Eliminate Target’ contracts in Tier 2, they are quick to do, do this until you can afford Pack-a-Punch Level 2 with your Legendary Weapon. Then proceed to doing 5 contracts in the Tier 3 region. With a Legendary Level 2 Pack-a-Punch the enemies go down relatively fast. Having an armor vest with 3 plates, a quick-revive, and a killstreak item (purchased from buy/sell stations) is also advantageous. It also helps to bring items into the match like Aether Tools to instantly reach Pack-a-Punch level 1/2 without using the machine, some Perk-a-Colas, and an ammo modifier. If you already unlocked the crafting recipes in previous matches that will make it easier as you can craft what you need. You can also buy a Medium Rucksack from a buy/sell station in a previous match to carry more items with you. Playing in a good team of 3 players will make it easier, solo it’s quite challenging. Also merge with other squads, this can be done by holding and selecting the Invite/Request to Join option on the right. The other squad must accept your invite/request in that same menu (not all players know this exists so your request might get ignored). This allows you to increase your squad size to up to 6 players, which would make the contracts vastly easier than with 3 players. |
||
The End? Complete Act III in MWZ |
||
In the MWZ main menu, in the bottom right corner it will show “Story Missions” with a % progress tracker. You must complete these missions in MWZ matches to gain progress and move from Act I to Act II to Act III. Click the Story Missions icon in the bottom right corner to select a mission and see your progress towards it. These are repetitive tasks like looting 25 containers, killing 50 zombies with wallbuy weapons, killing 50 zombies with mystery box weapons etc.
Complete all Missions to unlock a crucial Story Mission at the end of each Act. You only gain progress towards the actively selected mission. If you complete a mission during a match, it will automatically start the next mission. This allows you to do multiple missions per match but you can only work on one at a time. This trophy also unlocks if you are being invited to the Orcus boss fight by someone else who already unlocked him. You don’t have to finish all 3 Acts yourself to get this trophy. Defeating Orcus will unlock the trophy for finishing Act 3 for all joining players, even if they haven’t finished any story acts themselves. This is a huge time-saver as you can skip all MWZ acts and makes the Platinum much easier. |
||
Slaughterhouse Kill 50,000 total Enemies in MWZ |
||
Kill a total of 50,000 enemies (zombies, humans etc) in MWZ mode. This is the most time-consuming trophy in the game. First, you should finish Act III. Along the way you will get lots of kills naturally. Playing normally without farming kills you should get around 500 kills every 45 minute match.
The best farming method is to start “OUTLAST” contracts, it will spawn zombies infinitely. Don’t finish the objective and just farm the zombies. This way you can get around 1200 kills every 45 minute match. This works out to 27 kills per minute / 1620 kills per hour. So to farm 50,000 kills it would take around 30 hours. But since you will already have about half the kills done from finishing all 3 Acts, you will only need to farm around 25,000 kills or 15 hours. Another method is to call the exfil helicopter, this spawns a bunch of zombies. Defeat them all, let the helicopter leave, call it again after the cooldown. Rinse and repeat. However, this has been nerfed since the game’s launch and fewer zombies spawn now, making this less efficient. You can keep track of your total kills in by going to the MWZ Start Menu > press Options > Stats > Zombies > Kills (stats take around 2 minutes to update after each match). |
||
Conqueror Defeat a Warlord in MWZ |
||
Warlord (called “Legacy” in-game) is the boss in the Legacy Fortresses in MWZ mode. There are a few steps necessary to reach him:
Alternatively, you can also sort of do it solo by camping at the Legacy Fortress, wait for other teams to arrive and do all the work for you, then just rush into the building after them and land a hit on the Legacy boss before the other squad kills him, this will still unlock the trophy. Or just check the map frequently to see if there are blue player arrows at the fort, then rush there before they kill the boss. You can also hold and select ‘Request to Join Nearby Squad’. |
||
One Against All Kill Orcus while in a 6 person squad in MWZ |
||
Orcus is the Act 3 Endboss in MWZ. He’s a big worm boss and the endboss of the Zombies Story. By default you start as a 3 player squad. To get into a 6 player squad you must go near another squad and hold then select “Invite Nearby Players to Join Your Squad” or “Request to Join Nearby Squad”. The other squad must accept the invite in the same menu. Not all players know about this and some might not accept the invite so it will take some trial and error until 3 other people accept. Then with 6 players kill Orcus.
This trophy also unlocks if you are being invited to the Orcus boss fight by someone else who already unlocked him. You don’t have to finish all 3 Acts yourself to get this trophy. Defeating Orcus will also unlock the trophy for finishing Act 3 for all joining players, even if they haven’t finished any story acts themselves. |

Dialed In Customize your loadout in every Open Combat Mission |
||
There are 6 Open Combat Missions. They are all part of the Singleplayer Campaign. In Mission Select they have a “skull icon” and show a progress tracker for “Weapons and Items Discovered”. They are open world missions and in them you can customize your mission loadout via “Loadout Crates”. These crates have a “white crate” icon on the map. Finding items from Supply Boxes around the map allows you to use them in the loadout customization. This trophy may pop automatically when you reach Mission 12: Gora Dam for the first time, but if it doesn’t come automatically revisit all 6 of these campaign missions and manually customize your loadout at Loadout Crates:

Gearhead Collect all Weapons and Field Upgrades from Supply Boxes in Open Combat Missions |
||
For this you must find all Weapons & Items in the 6 Open Combat Missions of the campaign. Weapons and Items are found inside orange boxes that get marked on the map when you go near them or when you mark them with the spotter scope. The Open Combat Missions are the ones with a skull icon in Mission Select that show a progress tracker for “Weapons and Items Discovered”. You can check this progress in the Mission Select or by opening the map while playing such a mission.

Sample Platter Use 5 different Armaments in Open Combat Missions |
||
For No Such Thing as Too Many you must find and use all 12 Armaments (Kill Streaks) so you will get this automatically in the process. These are the Kill Streaks found during Open Combat campaign missions. Simply use any 5 of the 12 unique ones.
I Call Shotgun! Drive a vehicle with a Sentry Gun on the back and have it kill 5 enemies |
||
First you must pick up a Sentry Gun armament (Killstreak). It can be found here in Mission 3: Reactor (the door of the building is blocked, must aim through the window to shoot the wooden chair behind the door): Then find any vehicle, they are marked on the map with a car icon. Press to pull out the sentry gun and place it on the back of the vehicle. Enter the vehicle and drive near enemies, let the sentry gun kill 5 enemies to pop the trophy. |
||
Tag, You’re it! Use the Spotter Scope to tag 60 enemies or items in Open Combat Missions |
||
In Open Combat campaign missions press to use the scope and aim it at enemies/items to mark 60 of them total. It counts cumulatively across all Open Combat missions. The Spotter Scope is available in the following campaign missions that work for this:

||
That’s One Way to Do It… Destroy an airborne enemy helicopter with a Mortar Strike |
||
First, destroy all 3 grounded helicopters (main objectives) to trigger a checkpoint. A flying helicopter spawns after destroying 2/3 main objectives but you want to destroy all 3 objectives to get a new checkpoint (makes it easier if you need to retry). It’s best to destroy the furthest helicopters first and keep the one closest to the mission start for the last to get a checkpoint closer to the Mortar pickup. Now pick up the Mortar Strike armament, found here (north-west of map in a yard near the mission start): Press to pull out the Mortar tool, aim it at the flying helicopter, press to call the Mortar Strike when the helicopter is hovering still in the air. It’s a bit tricky and random because the helicopter will constantly move around and it has to be hit directly by a mortar shell. If the helicopter moves away, restart the checkpoint and retry (that’s why it’s important you destroy all 3 main objectives, to get the checkpoint). If you kept the objective near the mission start for last you will spawn next to the mortar and don’t need to run so far. Note that if you picked up the Mortar earlier in the mission, it will disappear from your inventory when restarting the checkpoint. |
||
Hey, Catch! Throw and hit an enemy directly with a Flammable Canister then blow them up with it |
||
Mission 3: Reactor At the start of Mission 3: Reactor, land at the first helicopter (main objective) straight in front of where you spawn. There are 2 red flammable canisters in the building to the right of the helicopter: Pick up a flammable canister, fuse it with , throw it with and hit an enemy DIRECTLY (must hit the body of the enemy, don’t miss the enemy), then the fused canister will explode and blow up the enemy to unlock the trophy. If the enemy moves away and doesn’t get killed by the explosion you can grab another canister or restart checkpoint. The important part here is that when throwing the canister it hits the body of the enemy directly and when the canister explodes it must kill that same enemy. |
||
Frequent Flyer BASE jump and travel more than 150 m with your parachute |
||
Mission 12: Gora Dam At the very start of main campaign Mission 12: Gora Dam, you spawn on a “Base” to jump off of. Jump and immediately open the parachute with , push the left stick up and glide as far as possible. If you get out of bounds, circle around to land in the mission area. |
||
High Wire Act Kill 10 enemies while using a zipline |
||
This can easily be farmed in Mission 3: Reactor. At the start of the mission, land on the roof on the right, next to the first helicopter (main objective). There’s a zipline between two roofs over the first helicopter. On this roof you also find the “Ascender” which you must collect to use the ziplines: Now keep going back and forth and this zipline and kill enemies while using the zipline. It counts 10 kills total across multiple zipline uses (doesn’t need to be in 1 zipline ride). It keeps counting even if you die / restart checkpoint / restart mission, so this can be farmed too. If you run out of ammo simply collect the weapons from dead enemies or use an ammo refill box. |
||
Never Bury Your Enemies Alive Complete the campaign |
||
For this you must beat the Campaign mode on any difficulty (the easiest difficulty ‘Recruit’ counts too).
141 Ready Complete the campaign on Veteran |
||
Complete the entire campaign (All Missions) on Veteran difficulty. Veteran is the highest available difficulty. It’s available from the beginning.
On Veteran the enemies are much more accurate, throw more grenades, and you die much faster. Just stay in cover, quickly peak out of cover to take out one enemy and repeat. Use Armor Plates with in missions that have them available, they offer extra damage protection. If you platinumed previous Call of Duty games, then you shouldn’t have much trouble on Veteran. If you find it too difficult, do a run on Recruit first, then you’ll already know the map layouts and enemy spawns and Veteran will feel easier. If you previously finished the game on a lower difficulty it’s fine to use Mission Select, this will still unlock the trophy in the end (no need to choose the “New Game” option). In mission select it shows the highest difficulty you’ve finished each mission on. If you previously finished the Open Combat missions on a lower difficulty you can use already unlocked weapons to make it easier (starting a completely new game resets all unlocks). Generally a silenced long range weapon and a silenced shotgun work great. Take out the enemies from a distance with a silenced rifle or sniper rifle. If you are spotted, camp behind a wall with the shotgun to take out approaching enemies. |
||
Death Row Kill 12 enemies while descending in the panopticon in ‘Operation 627’ |
||
After defeating the first big group of enemies in a courtyard, you will go inside a building and then must rappel down a prison, called “Panopticon”. While rappeling you must kill 12 enemy soldiers to unlock the trophy. Just take your time on each floor to clear out all enemies before going to the next floor. Some prisoners will also attack and hold soldiers, you can shoot the soldiers who are being grabbed by prisoners. This trophy should come pretty naturally. |
||
Floater Parachute off a Gantry Crane onto the roof of the Harbormaster’s Building in ‘Precious Cargo’ |
||
At the very start of the mission, open the container in front of where you spawn, inside the container is the Parachute. Pick it up! Now go to the last crane on the right side (south-east on map). Wait for the crane to move close to the roof with a control tower on it and parachute over. Press X/A in midair to open the parachute. |
||
Helo Hat Trick Destroy each objective helicopter in ‘Reactor’ with a different Armament |
||
At the very start of the mission your first objective is to destroy 3 parked helicopters (marked by white icons on map and HUD). They are parked on the ground (not flying), making them easy targets. It’s important you destroy all 3 with killstreaks in a single attempt of the mission. Killstreaks are found around the map, once found they get a blue marker on the map. Here are 3 easy ones: #1 – Mortar Strike: From where you spawn, land slightly to the left to find this in a yard, use it on the first helicopter on the right. #2 – Precision Airstrike: Conveniently placed to the left of the helicopter in the south-east of the map. Use it to destroy the helicopter next to it. #3 – Cruise Missile: Found before the last helicopter, where a supply drop (parachute) landed. When you aim the Cruise Missile, look out for the brown smoke that marks the helicopter main objective (don’t hit the flying helicopter that’s defending the area). Should you miss this shot, you can look for other killstreaks, for example there’s a Stealth Bomber on the rooftop directly south of the last helicopter. |
||
2-fer Using the EBR-14, kill 2 enemies with 1 bullet 5 times in ‘Payload’ without sounding the alarm |
||
This can be done at the very start of Mission 4: Payload. You automatically start this mission with the “EBR-14” rifle. You must do 5 double-kills (kill at least 2 enemies with 1 bullet) without causing an alarm (don’t be spotted and don’t let the kill be seen by enemies). From the mission start, take the path on the left. There are multiple isolated pairs of enemies along this route. Be patient and wait for them to move around until they stand close together. Stay crouched in the tall grass to avoid detection. Ideally, you should do a double kill on each enemy pair until reaching the main base courtyard, there you can do the 5th double-kill. If you miss a chance or get spotted, immediately reload the checkpoint to retry the last section. See the video guide for the best route. |
||
Back in the Field Acquire the Major’s keycard in ‘Deep Cover’ within 90 seconds without being detected |
||
At the very start of Mission 5: Deep Cover, your first objective is to go to the Admin Building. Once you reach it, a Major will walk out the door (looks different than other enemies), then he goes upstairs. You must do a stealth-takedown on him as soon as he is upstairs (before he enters the room upstairs) and quickly loot his keycard. You must remain in stealth and do all of it in 90 seconds or less. At the start, skip the cutscene (not sure if that matters but that’s what I did). Holster your weapon with . Run down the slope on the left then run behind the truck until you encounter enemies patrolling the road, stop running here. If you run close to enemies they will detect you. Just walk at normal speed for the rest. When there’s a turn in the road, go through the open building instead of following the road (shortcut). Enter the parking lot to the Admin Building by walking behind the last patrolling guard. Now wait for the Major to come out, follow him upstairs, as soon as he reaches the top of the staircase (BEFORE he enters the room), press to do a Takedown. If he enters the room, the woman inside will notice when you take him down and you will also run past the 90 seconds limit. Loot the keycard that he drops on the floor to pop the trophy. If it doesn’t unlock restart the mission and retry. There’s a checkpoint right before he goes upstairs so if you did everything else perfectly, try reloading the checkpoint and kill him a bit earlier. |
||
Shot Blocked Shoot the gun out of the air in ‘Flashpoint’ before a terrorist catches it |
||
This takes place a couple minutes into the mission, when you reach the room with the terrorists pretending to be paramedics. Do not interact with the guy on the right asking for help (he holds a gun behind his back and will kill you). Also don’t approach the fake paramedics or they will open fire on you. After entering the room just wait for Price to question the fake paramedics. After 25 seconds, the guy standing in the back right will throw an assault rifle to the guy on the left, you must shoot this out of the air. Aim slightly above the door handles, stand still and wait for him to throw the rifle, shoot it out of the air with one shot. There’s a very short time window for this. You can reload the checkpoint to keep retrying. It will likely take a few tries, once you know exactly when and where the rifle gets thrown you will know where to aim and when to shoot. |
||
Think She’ll Notice? Destroy all of the cars in the mansion garage in ‘Oligarch’ |
||
In Mission 9: Oligarch, next to the big mansion in the north of the map, there’s a garage to the left of the mansion’s front entrance. Inside the garage are 6 cars, blow them up to unlock the trophy. You can either shoot them until they explode or throw explosives at them. There’s an ammo box in the garage in case you run out of ammo. You can go there right away from the start of the mission (no need to do any objectives). Here’s the location: |
||
Elevator Out of Order Reach the roof in ‘Highrise’ under 45 seconds |
||
First, you must find the “Ascender” tool, this allows you to use the ropes as shortcuts. The Ascender is found on the 11th floor (Gaz will say “Moving to the 11th Floor” when reaching this floor). At the end of the floor by the stairwell is a box that contains the Ascender. After you got the Ascender, restart the mission from the pause menu. You will now start the mission with this tool equipped and can use the ropes as shortcuts. From the start of the mission you must reach the roof where you meet Price within 45 seconds. Use the rope in the first elevator shaft, in the next corridor defeat the two enemies, at the end of the same corridor go up the rope. Then turn left to climb out of window and use the zipline, then a second zipline. The trophy pops after that (in same cases you may also need to climb the next ladder to pop it). Have the pistol equipped to run faster. With this you can easily do it in 35 seconds with 10 seconds to spare. Without the Ascender it’s not possible. |
||
Snow Angel Execute the forest sniper in ‘Frozen Tundra’ with a takedown |
||
In Mission 11: Frozen Tundra, you will automatically come to a point where you get attacked by a Sniper in the snowy woods. This is the first sniper in the mission. Defeating him is mandatory so you can’t miss him. For this trophy you have to do a melee takedown by holding . This only works when the “Takedown” button prompt appears near the top of the screen, when you are within melee distance to the sniper. The easiest option is to throw flashbangs at the sniper to stun him, then melee him until the prompt appears and do the takedown. Or just rush in and keep meleeing him until it appears. You can also shoot at him until his armor breaks which will stun him. The takedown prompt won’t always appear so it may take a few tries. If the Sniper dies from other attacks, immediately restart the checkpoint before it saves. Then you can quickly retry as often as needed. |
||
Hitchhiker Defuse the bomb on the truck in ‘Gora Dam’ while it is in motion |
||
At the very start of the mission, parachute to the back of the moving truck that spawns on the right side of the map (main objective, has white map marker). On the back of the truck is a bomb, disarm it by holding . You have to land on the truck unseen and while parachuting so you don’t alert the enemies. If you alert the enemies they will stop driving. By parachuting to the back of the truck you will land silently and they won’t notice. Crouch with after landing so enemies don’t see you. |
||
Your tax dollars at work Use a missile to take out a single enemy in ‘Danger Close’ |
||
At the very start of the mission, you will control a gunship. Look at the laser your enemies are waving at you, then they mark some enemies in the boneyard. Switch weapons with to “Missile”, shoot the missile at an enemy to pop the trophy. |

Additional information, for when you update the guide.
Objectives that do not specify that they need to be done in one game can be cumulative. “Tag, You’re it” can be done across multiple games.

No Platinum trophy on PS5, online only even when playing the single-player campaign, and a Call of Duty account is required… Pathetic.
Shrek says
There is no platinum for ps5 cuz it seems Sony thinks this game is a DLC whereas in the ps4 there is a platinum next level confusion????
RoWckYy says
If the PS5 trophy list is a DLC, it means the game is in fact a DLC, which means I should be charged the price of a DLC and not the price of a full game. Right, Activision ?
YourHeroChris says
It’s like they’re looking for ways to push players away with the always online for the campaign and no platinum
Skeekdkfk345 says
Very bad one. 85% of missions single and sneak from A to B ones. Done it on veteran difficulty on first playtrough. No platinum or anything. 1/5 Can’t recommend.
DanTheMan1999 says
Armaments are:
– Mosquito Drone (Only seen in Precious Cargo)
– UAV
– Sam Turret
– Bomb Drone
– Chopper Gunner (Only seen in the Gora Dam)
– VTOL
– Mortar Strike
– Stealth Bomber (Reactor)
– Sentry Gun
– Cruise missile
– Precision Airstrike
Shabyoob says
There is an advanced UAV also in “reactor”
Jay says
Where’s the chopper gunner located at in gora dam?
Karl says
Also Cluster Mine
Rafael says
Hopefully this was a mistake from Activision and they will put the platinum. This is crazy…
Lind says
Bulletproof trophy is bugged… i have all upgrades for the plate vest, but no trophy…
Jay says
It worked for me. Make you you have everything unlocked for all of the open missions. I unlocked every campaign achievement.
Giacomo says
Same problem…
Jorthan says
I think I’m in the same boat, got three plates all the way up to gora dam. no trophy. 🙁
Shabyoob says
Does crash site have 3 plate carriers or 2?
WingedRain says
Has anyone found the 2 vests on crash site? I’ve only found 1 looked everywhere for the last one
Carsten says
There are 3 Plates in Crash Site, one on the left Side in the House. Entry Only from the Outside near the Car. The last One is near the Flight Radar Mission Objective.
Kafka-Hibino says
I confirm, Bulletproof is bugged
Rhaigus says
There is a plate upgrade in the mission where you have to escort markov, I don’t know if this is one required for the trophy or not.
t3ck77 says
Hello,
Has anyone tested the autopop of trophies from ps5 to ps4?
Thx
Calypso says
Cancelled my preorder due to PS5 not having a platinum trophy. Then I heard campaign mode is 4 hours long and sucks. Then all the trophies are bugged anyways.
Don’t buy this. Stop supporting this horrible franchise.
Arkonite says
I can’t agree more… Let’s stop feeding these companies, who focus 80% of their development efforts on retention and keeping their in-game shops running. They think we’re cash cows. Let’s wait for XDefiant ;)
Having said that, thank you to the Powerpyx team for your commitment, especially during this busy period. You’re really pulling out all the stops, despite the tight schedule. Congrats !
reconassassin92 says
Absolutely no idea how to use all armaments, unless it’s bugged. I have all items found, went around to every one on every single open area map and used them, no pop. Unless there’s hidden ones somewhere
reconassassin92 says
never mind, all i had to do was use an attack chopper one on the Dam level. Didn’t know that they weren’t counting for the item total for the levels, I had all of those. But it didn’t count cus I had everything previously.
Wumpa Fruit says
@Calypso
Well said.
Nikki_boagreis says
A Call of Duty accounts required, a constant Internet connection even when playing the single player campaign and no platinum trophy on PS5 “sounds like an epic fail”
kantera says
So just to be sure about this, I have a physical copy of Modern Warfare II on my PS5. If I buy a physical copy of Modern Warfare III on PS5, it will be added to my trophy list of Modern Warfare II PS5 version as a DLC and not create a seperate list? Thanks!
PowerPyx says
Yes it will be added as DLC list. Doesn’t make a difference if you play the physical disc or the digital download, PS5 version is DLC either way.
Christina says
Highrise mission specific achievement is bugged for me. I get to the platform you get the trophy on, in 35 seconds. By the time I climb the next ladder with slow ass Price, I am at about 40-42 seconds. It doesn’t pop. I even tried jumping down to where the enemies are before 45 seconds and nothing.
Christina says
Disregard. I reset my game and Xbox. Did it again and got it first try. Thanks!
kantera says
And would I need to install Modern Warfare II again or just install Modern Warfare III from the disk and Modern Warfare II doens’t need to be installed on the system? Thanks!
kantera says
Can anyone give me feedback if you need to have Modern Warfare II installed or is that not necessary? If I only install Modern Warfare III from the disk, will it add the trophies to the DLC list of Modern Warfare II? Thanks!
PlayStation4Life says
I think “Sample Platter” Trophy is bugged because I managed to get “No Such Thing as Too Many” Trophy for using all of them. But didn’t get the “Sample Platter” Trophy for using 5 different ones. Is it bugged or when I use 5 it has to be same game and each one has to kill someone. thanks
PlayStation4Life says
And now got the trophy for finding everything on all open combat mission. And the using 5 different streaks trophy won’t unlock.
PowerPyx says
Must be an isolated bug, a fix that often works is to reinstall game and delete save game and redo it (of course keep a backup of your completed save in PS+ cloud so you can copy it back after). Can be done as early as Mission 2 so don’t need to replay much. Sometimes there’s an issue during trophy set install when the game installs which can lead to odd bugs.
PlayStation4Life says
Yeah I looked it up. Apparently some other in PSN and Xbox are having same issues. According to the comments I have read.
But it worked. Deleted my save locally after backing it up to PS+ Clouds. Did new game and managed to get it in the second mission. Thanks

Does anyone know if the 50k kills progress is shared between platforms? On Cold War there was a “100 kills on a vehicle” and it popped on the 101th kill on the 2nd platform; but the 10k kills on Vanguard didn’t.
Being a Sledgehammer game I’m afraid it’ll be like Vanguard lol
