A Shrine Defiled is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the A Shrine Defiled Gig (Side Quest).

Objective: Place a wiretap in a Tyger Claw-controlled shrine
Location: Shinto shrine at Milagro Terrace
The person should not stray from the road and the tiger should not leave his mountain steepes. Or misfortune will find them both.
Tyger Claw boss Taki Kazo thinks he’s smart. He thinks I won’t find out about his agreement at the shinto shrine on Milagro Terrace. He thinks I don’t know he’s using the shrine’s honden for secret meetings. He thinks he can rule Japantown without my influence. He will be wrong.
I’ll give you a wiretap to place right at the shintai in the most sacred of shinto spaces. Don’t make a noise. And don’t disappoint me.

Starting Location: A Shrine Defiled
Gig: A Shrine Defiled starts in Westbrook (North Oak).
Remain Undetected [Optional]
This optional objective is active for most of the Gig, so the majority of the walkthrough will be highlighted here, with smaller sections below for each objective.
From the map location above, you will see a large sacred site, most of which is open to the public, so you don’t have to worry about getting spotted.
Head up to the site and you can choose either of the alleys to enter. The one to the right of the main restricted area requires you to have 12 points put into your Technical Ability, whilst the alley on the left can be opened on its own. You can either shoot the enemy with a silenced weapon or use the nearby machine to distract them and incapacitate them from behind.
Once inside, disable the security camera above the doorway ahead and use the machine to distract the enemy patrolling the room. Sneak up behind them and incapacitate them, dropping their body in the alley.
Head on through to the outside courtyard and immediately look up to disable the camera above this doorway.
Then, head through the double doors ahead and install the malware on the computer.
Once it has been installed, leave the complex the same way you came in and take the call from Wakako to complete the Gig.
Get To The Honden
From the map location above, you will see a large sacred site, most of which is open to the public, so you don’t have to worry about getting spotted.

Place The Wiretap Inside The Shrine’s Main Hall
Install the malware on the computer in this room by interacting with it.
Get Out Of The Shrine’s Main Complex
Once it has been installed, leave the complex the same way you came in and take the call from Wakako to complete the Gig.

Can’t get the call from Wakako to complete. Achievement progress stuck at 96%.

Sneak around the right side of the outer walls until you are next to the room with the computer. Double jump over the wall. Watch for the camera looking at the door into the shrine. Sneak in, install the malware, then sneak out going right when you exit the shrine and double jump over the wall. No one will see you and you don’t have to take down anyone. Very easy. You do need double jump to complete the mission this way. No shots fired, no confrontation needed, and not detected by a sole.
I just killed everyone from outside walls as a netrunner, remained undetected.
