This guide shows all Collectible Locations in Diablo 4 (IV). There are 962 Collectibles total (35 Waypoints, 15 Strongholds, 213 Side Quests, 309 Areas, 115 Side Dungeons, 160 Altars of Lilith, 115 Codex of Power Aspects).
None of the Collectibles are missable, so you can do these as you play or at any point in the endgame after completing the campaign. These collectibles are found all within the overworld map and many will be marked on the map after discovery. The map itself is open-world and you can go through any region as you desire, however some collectibles require you to progress through the campaign before they become available.
There are the following types of Collectibles (962 Collectibles total):
- 35 Waypoints – 20 Renown each
- 15 Strongholds – 100 Renown each
- 213 Side Quests – 20 Renown each
- 309 Areas – 5 Renown each
- 115 Side Dungeons – 30 Renown each
- 160 Altars of Lilith – 10 Renown each
- 115 Codex of Power Aspects – Special Abilities
Waypoints are fast travel points that are primarily found within towns, cities and prominent story locations. Strongholds are enemy-held locations that have various objectives and a boss to defeat, which can unlock town amenities, a Waypoint or Side Quests. Side Quests are short questlines primarily started by talking to villagers in the many towns and cities, that usually consist of exploring an area, killing enemies or collecting items. Areas are the named locations spread around the map and will come naturally from simply unfogging the map. Side Dungeons are areas separate from the overworld map with various objectives and a boss at the end, which reward you with a Codex of Power Aspect upon completion. Altars of Lilith are statues that glow red and give you a permanent stat bonus. Codex of Power Aspects are special abilities that you can apply onto rare gear to make them legendary.
Completing any of these will unlock Renown points for the respective region, and upon reaching certain Renown goals you will unlock bonuses. Each region will have 5 Renown Tiers, and the rewards for them will be the same. Each tier will give a bonus to your current character, as well as a bonus that applies to all characters you create. The first 3 tiers can be completed immediately, whereas the fourth and fifth tiers will require you to be on World Tier 3, which first requires you to reach level 50, complete the story and complete the Kyovashad Capstone Dungeon.
You can check your progress towards your Renown Tiers by viewing the map where it is shown across the top, then pressing / to see a detailed view of your progress. Renown progress is individual on each character, but on new characters you will automatically have the “All Character bonuses” that you have unlocked previously.

Minor spoiler* None of the side quests are missable if we rush the main quest to prevent being overleveled? I ask because some of the npc’s die and im pretty sure yorin had a blue mark after fighting 3 headed wolf. Can someone confirm.
Archavia says
Nothing is missable at all. Some side quests require progressing the campaign to do, but none will get locked out by progressing.
