Starting Location: A Place To Call Home

Follow Lawan

This quest starts immediately after Let’s Waltz!, with you still being in the metro tunnel. Continue through following the objectives to meet back up with Lawan. Before heading upstairs you can grab some inhibitors from the GRE crate that you will see in your path.

You can also go into the nearby room (the metro station safe area you can use later) to find a memento on the table.

Memento – Second page of a comic book

Head up the stairs and continue following Lawan. You will end up directly in front of a winch that will take you to the rooftop of the building, then head out onto the rooftop for some scenes.

Before heading anywhere, there is a tape you can grab from nearby furniture.

Tape – Journal of a Nightrunner #5

Now with your newly obtained Paraglider, jump off the roof and float down to the next building following Lawan.

Talk to her on the next rooftop, then jump off following her again. You can use the wind currents coming from the air vents to extent your flight to the next rooftop.

Climb up the rooftop equipment and speak with Lawan once more, then jump off continuing to the next rooftop.

Activate the electrical substation

Your goal now is to go activate the nearby Electrical Substation to return power to the area.

When you reach the station some Peacekeepers will appear, and talk to you a bit about the station and how they also want to get inside.

Defeat the Renegades

Now a group of Renegades will also appear, and they need to be dealt with before you can enter the substation.

The Peacekeepers help out in this fight and can hold their own pretty well, though one of the three can die if they take too much damage (though this doesn’t really matter if it happens).

Talk to the Peacekeepers

Once all of the Renegades are dealt speak to the Peacekeepers again to continue.

Get inside the building

You will now need to get inside the building. Head to the left side from the front door where there is some metal structure you can climb up to.

Jump towards the pipes on the wall, then climb around the corner where you can jump to a platform in front of an open window leading into the building.

Activate the electrical substation

You will now be prompted on how activating the electrical substations works here and with other ones in other areas. The basic idea is that you find the numbered panel, and find the route to connect it to it’s partner panel with the available length of wire.

The first panel you will likely do is panel 2, which is on the same floor of the building as the one you enter on. Grab the wire from the green-lit panels, then use the rope in the middle of the large room to swing across in a direct line towards the partner panel.

Drop down to the lower floor where you can find panel 1. Grab the wire, then climb over the structure in the middle of the room to reach its partner panel.

From there, you then want to go into the open elevator door to the right of the red-lit panel 3.

In this lower area you can find the green-lit panel 3, then take its wire back up through the elevator shaft to get back to the upper floor where its partner panel is behind where the second panel 1 was located.

With most of the power on inside the building, you can now use the elevator to reach the control room.

The game will warn you that all the loot inside this location will disappear once you assign the substation, though this only applies for things like crafting items, not the inhibitors and collectible that are nearby. So if you want to search through the building for any items make sure to do it now.

Speaking of, you can grab the nearby inhibitors from the GRE crate, as well as a memento sitting to the right of the interaction point for the substation.

Memento – Newspaper Article – December 23rd, 2021

When ready, interact with the panel to select which faction to assign the substation to. If you are trying to earn the trophy/achievement for reaching faction level 7, be sure to assign this to the same faction you assigned the water tower to earlier in the story.

If you assign to the Peacekeepers here then they will talk to you outside immediately, but if you assign it to the Survivors then they just disappear for now.

Meet Lawan at the Fish Eye

Now you need to head to the center of the map to meet Lawan at the Fish Eye.

Ask for Lawan in the Fish Eye

Make your way inside the bar, then you are prompted to ask around for Lawan. You can interact with the marked people if you want, or just go straight and ask the bartender.

You’ll have a discussion with Lawan and meet Danior, who she was talking to earlier in the quest. During this part, you can respond to them however you like.

Go after Lawan

Once they are done talking follow Lawan over to the door on the opposite side of the room. You will have a conversation with Frank, who again you can respond to however you want.

Defend the Fish Eye

Renegades will now attack the Fish Eye, and you will need to go out and help defend it.

Eliminate the Renegades at the entrance

First, you will need to deal with the enemies that are directly outside the entrance to the bar.

Disable the cannon on the roof

Renegades on a nearby roof are now shooting a cannon at the building, and you need to go over and disable it. If you move over to the side of this floor towards where the objective is there is a bar you can swing across.

There is a zipline you can take that leads to a nearby winch, that will then take you to the building directly beside where the cannon is.

Deal with the two enemies on the roof, then interact with the cannon to disable it.

Eliminate the Renegades on the lower floor

There will be more enemies now attacking the lower floor of the Fish Eye. From the rooftop you are on you can use your Paraglider to easily reach it.

Disable the second rooftop cannon

Ther will now be a second cannon on a nearby rooftop. To reach it you can jump down to a lower level and take another winch up to the nearby building.

Disable the third rooftop cannon

While working on the second cannon, a third character will be marked for you to deal with. Once the second is dealt with, you can jump off the rooftop aiming directly for the objective and reach the rooftop across with your Paraglider as there are wind currents between the two buildings.

Help Lawan

Once the cannons are dealt with you now need to return to the Fish Eye. Glide down and then enter through the front door.

Interact with the door to help Lawan break it open.

After some scenes you will meet Jack Matt, the leader of the Peacekeepers.

In the conversation here the first dialogue options don’t matter, but the second options where Jack asks about Aitor determine whether the Side Quest “Aitor” appears during main quest “Welcome on Board”.

Telling Jack about Aitor means the quest will appear.

Lie to Jack about Aitor means the quest will not appear.

This finishes A Place To Call Home story quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
