Introduction
Welcome to the Evil West Trophy Guide! Evil West is a third-person shooter/beat ’em up game with exploration similar to God of War and a lore to The Order 1886. For the Platinum you need to play the game twice, once on Story, which is highly recommended for your first playthrough, and a second time on Evil to unlock all remaining weapon upgrades. There are also 403 collectibles to find. All collectible types are tied to trophies, with the exception of Lore. For Platinum, you also need to unlock all 27 weapon upgrades and some combat-related trophies. Nothing is missable, all chapters can be replayed as many times as needed to mop up collectibles you’ve left behind or farm kills for trophies. Other than that, just enjoy the game. It’s a really fun Platinum!
Step 1: Play on Story, Grab All Collectibles, Unlock Combat-related Trophies
For your first playthrough, it’s highly encouraged to play the game on the Story difficulty. The game is already pretty challenging on Story, with most enemies taking very little damage and a long time to go down. Plus, at the start you’re severely underpowered. Just enjoy the story and focus on grabbing all collectibles, especially cash which is not only needed for a trophy but is also for upgrading your weapons. Check Evil West Collectibles Guide which lists all collectibles needed for trophies in a chapter-by-chapter format.
By the end of your first playthrough, you will have most likely bought half of the weapon upgrades. For the remaining half, you need to play the game again in NG+ and collect everything again. I bought my last weapon upgrade at the end of Chapter 15, when I reached level 30. This means, you need to collect every single cash and chest collectible again to ensure you can buy every remaining weapon upgrade by the end of NG+. However, if you don’t have Boys ‘n’ Toys by the end of Chapter 15, don’t worry. You can still start a second NG+ run and start collecting cash a third time to unlock whichever weapon upgrade you couldn’t buy in your second run.
During your run on Story, also focus on unlocking combat-related trophies. Most of these will unlock almost naturally through story progression, only some require a specific perk that you need to unlock. Check the relevant trophy descriptions for which perks are needed. The only two unintuitive trophies are Sever Forever which asks you to tear off 100 limbs from enemies and Pew Pew Die which asks you to kill 30 enemies using all electrically-augmented firearms. Check the relevant trophy descriptions for the best way to unlock these. The game also features 4 trophies asking you to kill the story’s main bosses in specific ways. Don’t stress too much about these. It’s a lot faster to unlock them after NG+ once you are much more familiar with the boss patterns, have unlocked all weapon upgrades and have the best perks.
Step 2: New Game+ on Evil Difficulty
NG+ unlocks immediately after the end credits. Everything including active perks, weapon upgrades, and collectibles, carries over. When you start NG+, set the difficulty to Evil and play through the entire game a second time, ensuring you collect all cash and chests again to buy the remaining weapon upgrades. Check Weird West Superhero for strategies on how to make the Evil difficulty a bit easier. Additionally, you will still probably have to unlock Pew Pew Die, so depending on which weapon you’ve used the most during your first run, you might have to switch to another weapon to farm 30 kills with it. During your run on Evil, you will also unlock 4 trophies for killing the story’s main bosses on this difficulty. Check the relevant trophy descriptions for thorough run-downs of all the phases of each boss fight and how to tackle each in the safest way.
Step 3: Boss-specific Trophies on NG+ on Story
Now you will still probably need some of the trophies for killing main bosses in specific ways. Reload and replay the relevant chapters and defeat the bosses in the required way. To be extra safe, you can make a PS Cloud back-up save before the boss fight, so you can copy it back if you fail to retry immediately. With the best perks, all weapon upgrades and especially having more familiarity with the game now, earning these trophies should not be too much of an issue. Check the relevant trophy descriptions for best perks, strategies, and, especially, when to make a back-up save if you so desire.

Weird West Superhero Beat the game on Evil difficulty |

While Evil difficulty is available from the start, it is highly encouraged to leave Evil difficulty to NG+. When you start the game, you’re severely underpowered. You’re low level and most of the perks that make Evil difficulty a lot more manageable cannot be unlocked because they’re either found in the endgame chapters or locked behind other perks. Additionally, all of your weapons aren’t upgraded and lack damage boosts.
When you finish your first playthrough, NG+ unlocks immediately and can be started from the main menu. This puts you back at the start of the game. During NG+, you can collect cash and chests again, earn new perk points and level up Jesse even further. With that said, expect the game to get much harder. Overall, Evil difficulty is a test of patience and endurance rather than proper skill. Most encounters, including boss fights, are rather lengthy. This is because you will have to dodge and roll away more than landing shots. As a matter of fact, you deal even smaller damage than on any of the other difficulty settings and you go down in 2-3 hits. It’s a lot more effective to play defensively rather than go all in on your foes. Provided you’ve played the game at least once before, if you follow the suggestions outlined below, you can make Evil difficulty a lot more tolerable.
If you keep all of these suggestions in mind, you won’t have much of a problem with Evil difficulty. It’s still pretty challenging, but it’s not too bad if you play defensively, have patience, and use the perk combinations outlined above. For strategies on how to beat the main story’s bosses on Evil difficulty, check the relevant trophy descriptions. |

Boys’n’Toys Have all Weapon Upgrades activated at the same time |
||
Evil West features 9 different weapons, each of which can be upgraded up to three times. All 9 weapons and their upgrades are unmissable unlocks, with most coming from story progression and only two found in chests. Once you’ve found the weapon and unlocked an upgrade, you need cash to buy it.
The weapons and their upgrades are:
You won’t be able to unlock this trophy during your first run because there isn’t enough cash in one playthrough to buy everything. During NG+, cash will respawn, so you will be able to gather enough to buy whatever you’ve got left. Check » Evil West Collectibles Guide – 100% Completion. |
||
Pew Pew Die Kill at least 30 enemies with each electrically-augmented firearm |
||
Evil West features 6 electrically-augmented firearms and are all unmissable, story-related unlocks. Once you’ve unlocked the blueprint for each firearm, you then need to spend a required amount of cash to buy the upgrade. Once you have the cash, you can immediately buy the augmentation, no need to buy the two previous upgrades. This is actually encouraged in order to start farming for the 30 kills required from each weapon early in the game. As a general rule of thumb, buy the relevant upgrade as soon as it becomes available, if you can afford it.
The electrically-augmented firearms are:
You won’t be able to unlock this trophy during your first run because the last electrically-augmented firearm (Death Ray) unlocks right at the end of Chapter 16. You will unlock this trophy in NG+. |

Weren’t You Listening? Defeat the Bruch on Evil difficulty |
||
The Bruch is the final boss in Chapter 10 – Bats in the Belfry. The Bruch is probably the toughest boss in the game.
Suggested Perks: On the Spot, Tooldown, Vital Superpowers, Death Defied, Healthy Lifestyle, Life Support, at least one Supercharge perk, Extra Juice, Blood and Thunder, Bait and Switch Suggested Upgrades: Blaster, fully upgraded Agent Tools, at least one upgrade for the Crossbow and the Scorcher, Lightning Tornado The Bruch boss fight spans over three phases and has no midfight checkpoints. Phase 1: as soon as the fight starts, the Bruch will come hurtling towards you with a tailspin attack. He will do this 4 times. Don’t dodge, but spam to parry. His tailspin attacks have a pretty wide AoE and avoiding them is a lot harder than parrying them. When he’s done, land a few bolt shots at his face and get ready to spam again. This time he will do his tailspin attack 7 times. Keep spamming until he’s done and then resume landing bolts on his face. Meanwhile, he will spawn either leech minions or summon the enemies outside of the arena into it. If he spawns the leech minions, use the Blaster (hold ) to quickly get rid of them and if he summons the guys from outside of the arena, either use a Lightning Tornado or your zap perks to quickly get rid of them. Do note that some of these will span projectiles which may be lethal. Having Projectile Block as an active perk here may turn out useful. Also note that if the leech minions damage you or get too close to the Bruch, the Bruch will heal. After getting rid of either side enemy, activate Supercharge on the Bruch for some considerable damage if you can followed by the Crippling Rod, Scorcher, and Death Ray. Soon after the Bruch will leave the arena to spawn a large meteorite. Prevent this from happening by shooting the weak spots. When he returns to the arena, he will charge at you again, so get ready to shield his claw attacks again by spamming . This time he will do his claw attack three times. When his health is halfway through you will be able to hit his weak spots for some additional damage and stun him. Once stunned, go in and land a few more bolt shots. Phase 2: phase two plays very similarly to phase 1, but this time the Bruch will spawn walls of leeches. Through the wall, he will cast meteorites at you that you need to roll away from. When he’s done, he will cast the wall at you, so dodge or side-step to avoid it. It can’t be parried. After the wall, he will charge at you for another set of tailspin attacks. Spam to parry. He will tail-spin three times. Now land some more bolt shots and get ready for some more claw attacks. Again, spam to parry. Now he will spawn a couple more leech mobs. Use the Blaster as before to get rid of them. Now he will spawn rotating walls of leeches. Run away from them and land a Supercharge on the Bruch if you can. He should now retreat on the brink of the arena, fashioning a meteor. As before, hit the weak spots to avoid this. For the last chunk of his health, he will use the same attacks he’s used so far, so it’s just a matter of playing defensively and wait for the weak spots to appear on his body to finish him off. |
||
Minor Deity Defeat the Parasiter on Evil difficulty |
||
The Parasiter is the final boss in Chapter 7 – Smoke and Mirrors.
Suggested Perks: On the Spot, Tooldown, Vital Superpowers, Death Defied, Life Support, Extra Juice, Blood and Thunder, Bait & Switch Suggested Upgrades: Up the Sleeve, fully upgraded Agent Tools, at least one upgrade for the Crossbow, Boom Eternal, Lightning Tornado The Parasiter boss fight spans over three phases and has no midfight checkpoints. Phase 1: during the first phase, the Parasiter will spawn its two plant tentacles. One tentacle will spit poison balls that can be interrupted by hitting the weak spot, the other will try to slam you. Here you need keep an eye out on both tentacles and act quickly depending on what happens. When either tentacle is on the ground for a few seconds, zap-dash to it and land a few Gauntlet punches. When both tentacles are down, hit the weak spots in the Parasiter’s mouth. Now the Parasiter will slam the tree and drop rocks from above. Till your camera so that you have a top-down for the area and avoid standing in the red circles. Dodge, roll, side-step. Phase 2: the second phase plays exactly like the first, but this time the Parasiter will drop an egg of those explosive kamikaze enemies running at you. Destroy the egg if you can, so that they won’t hatch. If you can, drop a Lightning Tornado. Phase 3: the third phase plays exactly like the first and second phase, but this time the Parasiter will also slam the tree and drop rocks on the ground. Use the same strategy you used in phase one, but get ready to dodge a bit more often now. |
||
Then You Died Defeat William Rentier on Evil difficulty |
||
William Rentier is the final boss in Chapter 14 – A Son’s Duty.
Suggested Perks: On the Spot, Tooldown, Vital Superpowers, Death Defied, Healthy Lifestyle, Life Support, at least one Supercharge perk, Extra Juice, Blood and Thunder, Bait and Switch Suggested Upgrades: fully upgraded Agent Tools, at least one upgrade for the Crossbow and the Scorcher, Lightning Tornado William Rentier boss fight spans over three phases and has midfight checkpoints. Phase 1: during phase 1, William Rentier will start shooting at you. Shoot him back until the area goes black. When it does, be ready to dodge as he will try dash-fist you. After that, he will stand still for a couple of seconds, so seize the opportunity to land a few bolts. When he’s at a distance, a wet spot will occasionally appear, so keep an eye out for it and shoot it when it does. Occasionally, William will also create a red circle of attack on the ground. When he does, step away. Continue until one third of his health is down. Phase 2: during phase 2, tentacles will span out of his back and will cast projectiles at you for a total of three times. The first time he will cast projectiles twice, the second time he will cast projectiles three times, the third time he will cast projectiles four times, with a small break between the third and fourth wave. You need to dodge all waves. Here the Bait and Switch perk can prove really useful, allowing you to extend your dodge. After he’s done with the projectiles, he will try to dash-punch you, so dodge away again and be ready to land a few bolts. Next, he will try to dash-punch you again and then he will immediately slam-punch the ground for an AoE attack. Dodge away in both cases. Now he will cast projectiles at you again, so use the same starry detailed above and when he kneels, zap-dash to him for some Gauntlet attacks. Remember to dodge his AoE attacks and if the area goes black roll away when he tries dash-punching you. His attack patterns are now the same for the remainder of phase 2, so keep dodging and rolling away, and if you can use the Crippling Rod to prevent him from dash-punching you when the area goes black. When the second half of his health is gone, phase three will start. Phase 3: during phase 3, he will soar in mid-air and be shielded by a red barrier. From mid-air he will cast projectiles at you in the exact same way he did during phase 2. Dodge and roll away and move the camera as he moves to not lose track of him. Be ready to shoot him when a weak spot appears on his shield. Keep doing the same until his shield is gone and he drops into the ground. When he does, land a Supercharge attack if you can to whittle down his health even further. Eventually, he will soar in mid-air again, turn the area black and cast clones of his shielded self. Here you have to quickly rotate your camera based on where the yellow waypoints appear and shoot the weak spots. Since you have to rotate the camera pretty often here, having Assisted Lock enabled in the Settings here is really helpful. Continue doing so until he drops down again and you should be able to finish him off. |
||
Monsterball Cannonball enemies 50 times |
||
To perform a Cannonball, you first need the Uppercut and Cannonball perks, both unmissable and story-related perks. Then, hold : + to uppercut an enemy and follow it up with a Cannonball punch. Rinse and repeat until you unlock the trophy.
Slam Champion Slam enemies 100 times |
||
To perform a slam, you first need the Zapper Slam perk: > Perks > R2 > buy Zapper Slam for one Perk Point. Then, you need to press to punch an enemy mid-air, quickly point your camera at it and then press to slam it into the ground. No need to kill the enemy with it. Just slamming it is enough. Rinse and repeat until you unlock this trophy.
Pointless Violence Perform 15 finishers |
||
To perform a finisher, you first need to weaken an enemy until they’re about to die. When their body turns gold, it means you can perform a finisher on them. Approach them and press to execute it. Rinse and repeat until you unlock this trophy.
In the Feels Hit 45 weakspots |
||
Occasionally a gold glowing circle will appear on some enemies. This is an enemy’s weak spot and when it appears, your weapon should immediately lock on to it if you have Assisted Lock turned on in the Settings. Simply take a shot for either an instant kill or to seriously maim the enemy. Rinse and repeat until you unlock this trophy.
E-Rodeo Kill 20 enemies using the E-Combo |
||
To use the E-Combo, you first need the Signature Zapper upgrade (unmissable, story-related). Then, to perform a kill using the E-Combo you first need to electrocute an enemy and there are several ways to do this. One is to parry with when an enemy attacks you, another one is to zap an enemy towards you by pressing + , a third method is to dash towards an enemy by pressing + . In any method you choose, you then need to repeatedly press to kill them while the enemy is electrocuted. If the electrocution wanes, do it again and then kill the enemy. Rinse and repeat until you unlock this trophy.
Bleed You Out Defeat the Bruch without letting it heal |
||
The Bruch is the final boss in Chapter 10 – Bats in the Belfry. For a full walkthrough of the boss fight check Weren’t You Listening?
After destroying the very last gate in the level (near a Lore collectible), close the game and make a back up save on the PS Cloud after defeating. This way, if you fail the trophy requirements, you can reload the save and try again. Alternatively, let yourself get killed to start the boss fight over and try again. During phase 1 and phase 2, the Bruch will occasionally spawn leech minions. If they damage you or get too close to the Bruch, the Bruch will heal himself. So, keep your distance and use the Blaster to quickly kill them. Luckily, they go down pretty fast. As for the Bruch himself, you should be able to use Supercharge pretty often if you leave this trophy for Step 3 when you already have all weapon upgrades and best perks. It is highly encouraged to take care of this trophy during Step 3. Before then, you’re still underpowered and possibly lacking some of the essential perks to unlock this trophy without too much frustration. To make things even easier, set the difficulty on Story to sustain great amounts of damage as well as deal a lot of it. When the Bruch goes down and he hasn’t been healed by any of the leech minions, you will unlock this trophy. |
||
Bio Friendly Defeat The Parasiter without killing any of the minions |
||
The Parasiter is the final boss in Chapter 7 – Smoke and Mirrors. For a full walkthrough of the boss fight check Minor Deity.
After defeating the enemies in the monster’s mouth, close the game and make a back up save on the PS Cloud after defeating. This way, if you fail the trophy requirements, you can reload the save and try again. Alternatively, let yourself get killed to start the boss fight over and try again. During phase 2 and 3, the Parasiter will spawn eggs containing kamikaze minions. When the eggs spawn, you can destroy them before the minion hatch. For this trophy, you must ignore the eggs. Just let the minions come out and chase you. While they chase you, don’t shoot them. Instead, get close to them and they will blow up instantly. This is fine and won’t void the trophy. You just can’t kill them yourself. It is highly encouraged to take care of this trophy during Step 3. Before then, you’re still underpowered and possibly lacking some of the essential perks to unlock this trophy without too much frustration. To make things even easier, set the difficulty on Story to sustain great amounts of damage should the minions explode in your face as well as deal a lot of damage. Once the boss fight ends and you haven’t killed any yourself, you will unlock this trophy. |
||
Father’s Day Defeat William Rentier in less than 6 minutes |
||
William Rentier is the final boss in Chapter 14 – A Son’s Duty. For a full walkthrough of the boss fight check Then You Died
After destroying the Glamour illusion at the end of the level, you’ll have to burn through some cobwebs to reach the boss arena. After burning the last cobweb, before climbing up the chained ladder, close the game and make a back up save on the PS Cloud. This way, if you fail the trophy requirements, you can reload the save and try again. This time, letting yourself get killed won’t work as the time doesn’t stop even with midfight checkpoints. Throughout the entire fight, and especially towards the end, on William Rentier’s body weak spots will appear. Hitting the weak spots consistently is what speeds this fight up. If you don’t hit the weak spots, the phases will last longer, making it more difficult to finish him off in less than 6 minutes. By following this strategy, I managed to unlock this trophy, even with a midfight checkpoint. Just like with the Bruch, you should be able to use Supercharge pretty often if you leave this trophy for Step 3 when you already have all weapon upgrades and best perks. When William Rentier is defeated and if you’ve done so in less than 6 minutes, you will unlock this trophy. |
||
Best the Beast Defeat Felicity D’Abano Beast without using the HP dispenser |
||
Felicity D’Abano Beast is the final boss in Chapter 16 – The Grand Finale and the final boss of the game.
After clearing the enemies from the theatre stalls and before reaching the mission marker, close the game and make a back up save on the PS Cloud. This way, if you fail the trophy requirements, you can reload the save and try again. If you accidentally heal, you can’t let yourself get killed because, thanks to the midfight checkpoints, the game creates a new save every time you start a new phase. Felicity D’Abano Beast boss fight spans over three phases, with each phase introducing new attack patterns. Phase 1: as soon as the fight starts, she will start rampaging towards you. Roll away and immediately redirect the camera towards her. Next, she will do 4 stomp attacks in quick succession. Again, roll away. If you get too close to her, she will try to snatch you. Again, roll away as needed. She will occasionally rampage towards you 5 times in a row. The key here is to dodge, redirect your camera towards her, rinse and repeat. There are very few windows of opportunity to deal damage here, so the strategy here is to play defensively, wait for your tools to become usable again, and land a few bolts when she twists her body or rests after rampaging through the stage. Continue with the same strategy until a new cutscene starts in which she enlarges her body even further. Phase 2: phase two plays exactly the same as phase 1, but introduces a new attack pattern. At times, she will bolt over to the side of the stage where she slams the props causing the burning balls to land onto the stage. However, she will be surrounded by weak spots, so hit them, trying to limit the damage you’ll get from the falling debris. When she gets back on stage, resume using the strategy outline in phase one until a new cutscene starts in which she enlarges her body even further. Phase 3: phase three plays exactly like phase two, but introduces four new attack patterns. The first one is an AoE attack: she will leap into the ceiling and try to squash you thereafter. When she does, immediately check the floor for an AoE ring and quickly roll away and out of it. Next, she will use her new second attack pattern: she will start smashing the ground, causing the ceiling to collapse. Just like before, avoid standing in the AoE ring and roll away as needed. When she stops slamming the ground, she will start using her third new attack pattern: she will grab burning rocks from the floor and throw them at you. Do NOT use the pieces of fallen ceiling for defense as you will need this for an otherwise unavoidable attack in a bit. Instead, simply roll away as she tries to hit you. If you feel like it, you can interrupt her throws with a weak spot hit. All her new attack patterns can also be interrupted by means of your tools, especially the Crippling Rod which is especially good in this fight as it leaves her stunned and ready for a finisher (body must glow gold) which, if taken advantage of, will whittle down her health even further. During the rest of the phase, she will resume using any of the new attack patterns, but in random order. Eventually, she will start crouching and you will hear her screaming. When she does, here comes the fourth attack pattern: hide behind any of the fallen pieces of ceiling that should still be on stage. You’re almost done with the fight now. Simply study her movements and avoid whatever attack pattern she decides to use against you. Needless to say, use tools or the Supercharge if available. When Felicity D’Abano is defeated and if you’ve done so without healing, you will unlock this trophy. |

Sever Forever Tear off 100 limbs from enemies |
||
To tear off limbs off of enemies, you need to point your weapons at specific parts of their body. The best way to do this is to shoot their legs. Once you see the enemy’s ligaments, it means you’ve successfully hit the legs. Continue shooting them until they die. Rinse and repeat until you unlock this trophy. |

Proud to present to you another day-one trophy guide! Game is a lot of fun! Don’t be deterred by Evil Difficulty, it’s not too bad! A fun Platinum, too!
Dix3n says
What game would you compare the Evil Difficulty to ?
FranciRoosters says
Probably something in between Balanced and No Mercy in God of War for the difficulty, combat is a mix between Kena and God of War itself.
Dix3n says
Also how does it run on PS5 ?
FranciRoosters says
Runs well. 60 FPS.
MaaXz says
Top Guide.
Can I get all trophies in co-op?
FranciRoosters says
No, progress isn’t shared.
Mark Emmanuel Brown says
When you say 4 playthroughs for co-op, is that only if you want both players to get all trophies?
FranciRoosters says
Precisely.
Anonymous says
Thank you for the trophy guide. I’m not a fan of the Evil difficulty trophy because I don’t want to do another playthrough of a linear game like this that doesn’t have much replayability and would rather just play on normal difficulty for the Platinum trophy (but at least it has New Game Plus).
Also, I was looking forward to buying this but it’s now obvious that it’s a overpriced AA game that takes 8-10 hours for a single playthrough which doesn’t justify a £49.99 price (the usual cost of AAA PS4 games). I’m still interested in playing it someday, maybe if it comes to PlayStation Plus Essential/Extra.
iAmFabled says
Length is irrelevant to price. Hate this narrative
devin says
today is your lucky day
RoWckYy says
It’s a shame trophies are unlocked only by the host, it kills the whole point of co-op …
Russ says
This says 6/10 difficulty, is this mostly on time needed? Or is it really this difficult?
FranciRoosters says
As mentioned in the trophy guide, it takes time to go through Evil difficulty. Encounters and boss fights take a while because of the reasons pointed out in the trophy guide. The game tests your endurance and patience skills rather than how good you are, say, at parrying or dodging attacks.
Dorkoff says
There’s no way this is a 20 hour completion. It’s more like 35-40 hours, possibly a bit more. I’d update the estimated completion time tbh.
FranciRoosters says
On Story you can beat the game in like 8-10 hours if you don’t skip cutscenes, even less if you do. On Evil it’s assumed you’re going to skip the cutscenes if you’ve seen them already and it can be done in more or less the same amount of time with occasional retries.
Shabyoob says
It might even be less tbh, finished my first play through on normal difficulty in around 6 hours. Skipped all cutscenes as well.
FranciRoosters says
Yeah, the game is really short.
wdk says
It took 19hrs (PS shows time) to get the plat, and a left game paused sometimes plus I had tj replay chapter 10 several times until I realised that the boss can heal on phase 3 too. So 20 hrs is pretty much real time span.

A buddy of mine said that there is no chapter select after he beat the story. Where is it located at then if not on main screen? Thanks
FranciRoosters says
You need to start NG+. Once you do, go to Lore and from there you can select chapters. However, due to a rare bug, this is not recommended. It’s much safer to do the Evil run first and then clean remaining trophies after Evil as suggested in the trophy roadmap.

I’m on my first playthrough of the game. I’m in “Chapter 11: A Man of People” and it won’t let me blow up one of the objectives at all. No matter how much Dynamite I throw in there, nothing happens. I’m trying to find any way to simply restart the level, but everything I’ve tried doesn’t let me. If anyone knows how to restart the level without having to start on a new save file, ease let me know. (Yes, I’ve tried chapter select. It doesn’t let me start the level I am currently on over, and when I load a prior level and then load the current level, it puts me back in the bugged checkpoint that I have)
PhoenixerSDK says
My Save file got delete as soon as the last cutscene started in Chapter 1 on NG+.
Now I could only see “New Game” otpion on the menu and I’m quitting paltinum effort for this now.
Please make some cloud backups and also usb backup if possible. Do you want youg uys to face this!

if someone wants to play co op on my save add me or send message : The_Fly_1990
lazie says
Actually if you play in coop both of the players get the trophies like evil difficulty ending and boss/diff related trophies. Me and my friend just finished the game on evil in coop ( and i only joined him in chapter 13) as him being the host and we both got every missing trophies (bosses on evil + evil diff )
lazie says
also i maxed out every weapon mod in his game and i get the trophy for it too
FranciRoosters says
What about story-related or other miscellaneous trophies?
Lord of Wolves says
Really wish devs would stop doing trophies for running through the game on another difficulty. There’s a reason Sony first party has moved away from difficulty related trophies. You shouldn’t have to do multiple playthroughs to get the platinum.
lazie says
Not sure about the hidden perk trophy cuz it was bugged for me so i had to another run or the chests but i got the trophy for every weapon upgrade in coop as my friend was the host.
Probably u get every story related trophy.
Sidenote : if you are in ng,but your coop partner is in ng+ the coop will stuck at loading screen (waiting for other player…)
zak says
tremendous guide! i feel i may have a glitched trophy due to the fact that i have used far more than 15 energy charges, yet the trophy never popped. any advice? playing on the ps4 version
FranciRoosters says
Thanks for the praise. This sounds like a bug indeed as you most definitely will use more than 15 charges per playthrough
Liquidocelot666 says
Well this is akward but Chests Nuts didn’t pop for me and I got every cash in my second playthrough
Kinda boring if I need to do one more 🙁
Michelle says
Heads up! Back up your save file because while I was in NG+ Chapter 1 my PS5 crashed. When I opened the game back my NG+ file was wiped! Pretty upset about this. All my progress gone……
The_Aggro says
It seems like the collectibles (money bags) need to be collected in one run, which means it’s missable.
I’ve missed a few in my first no-guide-run and as I’ve collected the rest in the complete new NG+run the trophy didn’t pop up.
I did not use chapter-select and the trophy for all the big chests did work.
Bug?

My supercharge mode has glitched on me. I’ve upgraded it the next node that allowed the the shockwave effect but all of a sudden at chapter 13, Supercharge won’t activate at all. I look at my perk tree and the node is locked but is highlighted like I upgraded it. Really enjoyed the game up until this point but really sucks now because now the games getting hard and I can’t use one of the most important skills.
IceSKullectorTPG says
Playing on ps5 just finished my first play through on evil setting and the evil play through trophy glitched hasn’t popped but the other 3 difficulty trophies popped tryed force popping it through new game+ and nothing games being deleted and forgotten about pi**ed off to say the least there are glitched trophies games a mess.
EzLo says
This happened to me too. I’ve just finished my first playthrough on evil, never switched difficulty and the evil playthrough trophy didn’t pop, but the other ones did (including bosses on evil).
Mark Emmanuel Brown says
Saving the game before a boss fight when using chapter select doesn’t work. It reset me back to chapter 1 as the game says story progress doesn’t save
PlanetBerto says
I completed evil difficulty through new game+ but the trophy didn’t pop. There was a point on chapter 10 where I paused and accidentally changed the difficulty to hard. I immediately changed it right back to evil but I wonder if that had anything to do with it not popping.
David says
Yep that probably would have done it
Ashande says
Any tinkering with the Difficulty option will screw up the difficulty trophies. It does give you a warning requiring confirmation – at least, it did for me when I hit the stick by accident when picking up the controller coming back from pause – but maybe that was patched in later or something.
It is kind of bad design that when you pause, it defaults to that option being highlighted.
XaF says
yep having the same issue :/
David says
Hello the Death Defied perk doesn’t work with me. How do you activate it?
David says
Anyone else experienced any game breaking bugs.? I’m stuck on Lightning in a bottle chapter right at the beginning. The enemies don’t spawn in order for me to progress. Tried reinstalling and chapter select nothing works.
Had this numerous times in previous chapters but quitting to main menu solved it before. Always seems to happen when werewolves show up
PlanetBerto says
I had moments like that happen several times. Especially frustrating after a tough battle smh. I closed the game and restarted the console. It’d then load correctly. Sorry these things are happening, good luck

Just completed Evil difficulty no achievement/trophy. HIGHLY disappointed.

Does update solved the select chapter problem

Few notes:
– Bruch can heal on phase 3 too by hitting you with yellow tentacles. Better to save stun rod until then.
– If you are trying to get boss-related trophies on step 3 as the guide suggests, save backup is not an option since you will start your last story save instead of chapter select one. This is not an issue though, Bruch is the only one who took several attempts for me.

someone still needs evil difficulty too to complete.
add me on ps5 ” The_Fly_1990 “

Do trophies unlock for both players in coop now ? I remember it was not the case when the game released so we had to do 4 playthroughs instead of 2 for both players to get the plat.
Deep says
Yeah I’ve been playing co-op and got it for finishing the game on a certain difficulty without being the host.
Confused says
What is Novice difficulty? I’ve spent way too long trying to find what that trophy is referring to. I see 4 difficulties but Novice isn’t one???? I thought it meant Normal at first but that’s a separate trophy! What’s going on here? The only difficulties I see are Story, Normal, Hard and Evil. Is this trophy even obtainable? It refers to something that does not exist!
Anonymous says
The “Novice” trophy has to be for completing Story difficulty or higher. It’s clearly a mistake in the trophy description, beacuse the game refers to the easiest difficulty as “Story”. Considering over 2600 people on PSNProfiles have the Platinum trophy in the PS5 version, there’s no need to worry that you won’t be able to earn that trophy (just don’t use Chapter Select since that can supposedly cause problems).

I cant save my game for some reason.
Has anyone had the same problem & how to fix it?
TheKro16 says
Bleed You Out trophy – This popped for me today even after a few tries. I am on PS5 and I did not re-load a cloud save. If the leeches touched me, I just let the boss kill me and then the fight started over again. I hope this helps someone. Thanks.
