Far Cry 5 – Man’s Best Friend Story Mission Walkthrough

• Rescue Boomer
• Pet Boomer

Go to Rae-Rae’s Pumpkin farm marked on the screenshot above. Once there, defeat all the enemies in the area (there aren’t many). You can scout out the area with your binoculars to mark the enemies and kill them quietly with a bow or silenced weapon. Given how weak they are you might as well rush in with a melee weapon and knock out their brains.

There’s a cage on the back of a cart between the buildings. In it is the dog “Boomer”. Shoot or melee-attack the cage door to open it and let Boomer out.

Now pet him (and if necessary kill off the remaining enemies). After petting Boomer, the mission finishes and he will get added to your team roster. He will mark nearby enemies and animals and fetch weapons for you. Especially when going hunting he is invaluable!
