Only You is a Story Mission in Far Cry 5. This walkthrough shows how to complete this Quest.
Region: Whitetail Mountains (Jacob’s Region)
Area: outside of Wolf’s Den
Quest Giver: automatic
Requirement: having amassed 10.000 RP in Jacob’s Region
Reward: 3.000 $
Trophy: Kicking the Hornet’s Nest (if not already obtained in another Region before)
Objectives:
- Kill the final target before time runs out
- Destroy Beacons (6)
- Kill Jacob Seed
Once you have filled the RP-meter of Whitetail Mountains with 10.000 points, Jacob’s troops will hunt you down and poison you from afar and your screen will begin to blur.
After a cutscene, the following already familiar shooting challenge has to be completed. By now, you probably know the enemies’ spawning points in your sleep.
When you will reach the final target, the time will freeze and you’ll realize that you’ve been played by Jacob.
He made you shoot Eli instead of a Cultist.
The action will continue outside, where you have to disable six beacons, which will play the ominous Only You song, while you are hunted by cultists and wolves. Luckily, they are half-fantasy only and will vanish with one shot each.
Once you have disabled all beacons, it is time for Jacob. He will wait atop the mountain in front of you, and there will be close to ten cultists you have to take out on your way over there.
The way you approach him (or not) is pretty much up to you. Either use a sniper rifle, or climb up the mountain itself and throw him a surprise explosive in his hideout.
Once he is deadly wounded, a final cutscene with him will play.
Now that Jacob is down, there is still Deputy Pratt in the area who needs to be saved…

I fucking hate this content. Kinda breaks the Open World play when you are FORCED to run through this shit over and over and over FUCK!!! I won’t buy another Far Cry if they always fall back to this tired fucking grind.

If it doesn’t kill you, it will make you stronger. At first I felt the same way you did, but then suddenly thanks will snap it is a piece of cake

I truly, truly, truly, hate being forced to run through this repetitive time test. If the next iteration has one, I will not be buying it. I buy open world games because I like the freedom of doing what I want to do, being forced through this crap really ruins it for me.
