Far Cry 5 - The Prodigal Son Story Mission Walkthrough

The Prodigal Son is a Story Mission in Far Cry 5. This walkthrough shows how to complete this Quest.

Region: Whitetail Mountains (Jacob’s Region)
Area: Fort Drubman
Quest Giver: Hurk Drubman sr.
Requirement: having liberated Baron Lumber Mill
Reward: 600 RP & 400 $

Objectives:

Talk to Hurk
Ride with Hurk to the watchtower
Go to the watchtower
Secure the watchtower
Follow Hurk up to the watchtower
Follow Hurk up to the truck
Secure the area
Ride with Hurk back to Fort Drubman
Talk to Hurk sr.

Fort Drubman lies northeast of the Baron Lumber Mill and features one of Far Cry’s iconic characters. Not this guy, he is the father,..

..but this dude. Hurk. Safe and sound. And ready to go into action once more. His pop’s truck was stolen and it would ease their mind if they’d had it back in their possession.

Ride along with Hurk to a watchtower. As long as you are not spotted, Hurk will not engage in combat, but once you are detected, he will show off his RPG-skills and will blow up a lot of enemies from afar.

When the tower is secured, it is time to head down with a few ziplines to the cabin, where truck is actually parked. There will be a few guards around, but these can be quickly dealt with.

Time to head into the back of the truck and deliver this beauty back where it belongs.

On the way, we will come under fire quite a bit, mostly from 4×4’s, but there will even be a helicopter around trying to stop you. Make sure to acquaint them with your turret and deliver the truck home in one piece.

Dropping off this truck will conclude this quest and immediately reveal a new one from Hurk sr.
Hurk jr. will become available in your Guns for Hire roster after this mission, too.
