The first 12 trophies are from the story. Then there are a bunch of combat trophies for using specific abilities. The next part of the list focuses on collectibles – we must find all of the following: all signboards, 10 notorious marks, all hunt board quests, a chronolith trial, all curiosities, crafting Gotterdammerung, 10 letters, all patron items, all world map areas.
Most notably, there is mention of a “Final Fantasy” mode in the last trophy description, which is a higher difficulty only available in New Game+. This will require a second playthrough because it’s not unlocked from the start. There is also a gold trophy for fully upgrading all abilities which could require some grind.
Overall this is a largely completion-based list, we need to find everything of most collectible types, unlock all combat abilities, and beat the game on highest difficulty.
What are your thoughts on the Final Fantasy 16 (XVI) trophy list? Do you like what you see? Are you going for the Platinum? For all solutions check out Final Fantasy XVI Trophy Guide & Roadmap.
Jeff says
If it does require a second playthrough I’m hoping there’s New Game Plus or at the very least you’ll be able to use chapter select choosing FF Mode like you could do with Hard mode in FF7R
If either are the case I’d assume FF Mode shouldn’t be too bad if you have a lot of upgrades and good equipment
Leon says
There is actually a NG+
Timur Huhua says
In this game, half of the (relatively) trophies are tied to combat fights, and the others are for collecting everything that is bad, plus a trophy for difficulty. On a flip, you can estimate that it will take 50 hours to get platinum and about 6-7 points in complexity (how is the complexity of “final fantasy”? Just a new game? Or will it be possible to choose it on ng +?) P. S. POWERPYX, GOOD LUCK =)
everu says
Final Fantasy mode is a ng+ with extended Level cap, new weapon, more aggressive AI and new arrangement disposition for the enemies (guess there new enemies also, or at least more challenging enemies used instead simple one hit adds)
Snake2410 says
Final Fantasy mode is a NG+ mode that increases the difficulty, changes monster placement, and remixes which enemies might appear in combat according to the Game Informer article.
JL says
It would be wonderful if the Final Fantasy mode is not just a harder difficulty but let’s say another mode the game can be played. I mean naming a mode ‘Final Fantasy’ makes you think of what that could mean. Do they mean classic Final Fantasy? A turn-based combat mode for example would be a nice surprise.
Klaphood says
It’s not a different combat type – that will stay the same – but it’s different monsters in all the areas, so it will be a different experience, not just harder. Saw that on YouTube.
Master Rid says
I hope we cant use the noob rings in Final Fantasy Mode.
Joshua says
hi there, when do you think guide will be out also, i assume not but will you be looking into crash team rumble?
PowerPyx says
Full Wiki & Trophy Guide for FF XVI will be ready at launch.
Crash Team Rumble Trophy Guide is also planned but won’t be ready until a few days after release.
Joshua says
nice one, thanks for the reply and guides
Tree says
The developers did say that the “Final Fantasy” mode is only accessible after you beat the game, so to earn platinum we’re gonna have to play through the game twice
l33tstyl3z says
I believe in dev updates it’s been noted/said hardmode will unlock after a playthrough.
To paraphrase, the first playthrough is designed to enjoy the story, the 2nd is to get into the deep guts of the combat in a hardmode if you wish.
jerry says
how hard will FF mode be? I read some news about ng+,they said Ultimaniac mode is the hardest difficulty.
everu says
From my understanding the Ultimaniac it’s a series of challenges accessible on the ng+(Final Fantasy mode)
guess i’ts hard mode for the challenges u have on the stone thing( forget the name)
Final Fantasy mode extends level cap and new placement for the enemies, more aggressive AI and other stuff like new weapon to forge/extra update for accessories. It’s focused for the combat aspect of the game. I hope it’s a nice challenge xD
RT says
The list seems pretty simple.
Length and difficulty will most likely be dependent on if the “Final Fantasy” mode requires a second playthrough and if it is much more challenging.
Omar says
This will definitely require a 2nd playthrough and considering that the story is pretty long the plat will probably require around 80-100 hours. Hopefully collectibles won’t me missable!
d3mystic says
This will be my first proper FF (FF13 was the last) and excited because of the combat designer, the same as that of DMC5. Though from the demo, it feels more Nier/Drakengard than DMC, where you don’t have to be a semi-god to look good.
Nikki_boagreis says
Look’s like a straight forward trophy list, after playing the demo im even more hyped for the release.
mati11120 says
I hope in final Fantasy mode we are not gonna be able to use auto evade and auto combo rings!

All of the trophies seem fine at a glance except the trophy for completing the game on “Final Fantasy” mode (New Game Plus) which is disappointing to me because I’d rather just do a single 100% playthrough for the Platinum trophy. However, I felt the same when I saw Final Fantasy VII Remake’s Hard mode (which is basically New Game Plus) until I played the game and realised the Platinum trophy difficulty wasn’t too bad (execpt for those QTE exercises which were hard) and that it took me about 80 hours. So as long as the Platinum trophy difficulty is similar to Final Fantasy VII Remake (or easier), then I definitely want to play this game and earn the Platinum trophy.
By the way, no way I’m paying £64.99 for the digital edition, when I could buy the physical edition for £53.85.
Kevin says
Where you getting a physical copy for that price ?
Anonymous says
You can buy it from Hit.
d3mystic says
Wikipedia says Final Fantasy difficulty will not only be harder but also stronger enemies will appear early on. That makes me think it’ll be like Son of Sparda difficulty from DMC.
Ben says
To me “Final Fantasy Mode” kinda sounds like it’s a type of “Permadeath Mode” where if you die you have to start completely over.
AJ P says
No damage during a boss????
RIP My platinum run for this game
Anonymous says
I somehow missed that trophy… At the very least, it being a Bronze trophy means it shouldn’t be too hard (maybe after we’ve upgraded our character enough).
Mark Westside says
Well, there are a couple of rings (accessories) that are essentially an easy mode. One ring in particular adds auto-evade. And if the dragoon from the demo counts as the first boss, then this shouldn’t be a problem at all.
SD8 says
Pretty sure the first marlboro is going to count for that trophy and dodging its attacks wasnt that bad. You can do it!
Ben says
I really don’t like the vague trophy descriptions on alot them, how are we supposed to know how to get them?
PowerPyx says
By checking out my Trophy Guide at launch xD
Alastor says
I only heard about Ultimania mode. There is another mode?
JhOnNY_HD says
Powerpyx give us a little clue lot of missables?
