Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Rebirth All Armor Locations

This guide shows all Armor Locations in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Armor is used to increase physical and magic defense and to unlock more Materia Slots. The best armor is found later in the game. Being well equipped is essential when playing on Normal difficulty and having the best armor is very useful for hard difficulty (which is unlocked after the first playthrough).

None of the Armor in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is missable. After the story you unlock Chapter Select and can go back everywhere. Armor is found in Chests and some are rewards from Side Quests or Challenges. This guide shows everything in chronological order. Duplicates are included too (some armor has more than 1 location). You can also acquire some duplicates from Merchants or Vending Machines. Everything from the open world is still accessible in Chapter 13 via Chapter Select.

Starting Armor for Cloud, Tifa, Aerith.

Starting Armor for Barret, Red XIII.

Armor #3: Beastman Armband
Chapter 2 – Open World Location: Mistveil Reservoir – from the Abandoned Dock use the Chocobo (after unlocking it in Chapter 2) to swim across the swamp to the south-west. Then go up the metal stairs in the west corner of the swamp to find this in a chest upstairs. The location gets marked by a treasure chest icon when nearby.

 

Armor #4: Owl Bracer
Chapter 2 – Reward from Side Quest: Livestock’s Bane.

Armor #5: Queensguard Bangle
Chapter 4 – Reward from Side Quest: Stuck in a Rut.

Armor #6: Abyssal Bangle
Chapter 7 – Score 18000 points on Ghost Ship stage of Pirate’s Rampage. Will unlock this stage during Side Quest: Rendezvous in Costa del Sol.

Armor #7: Oldebeast Bracelet
Chapter 7 – Complete the Run Wild’s Time Trial in under 3:00 minutes. Will unlock this stage during Side Quest: Rendezvous in Costa del Sol.

Armor #8: Illusionist’s Armband
Chapter 7 – Objective: Continue Your Search – Location: Railway Control Tower 2F – when you first encounter a Cockatrice (rooster-like enemy), climb up the wall to the right of it and throw your shuriken to lower a ladder. Climb up and swing across the multiple grapple points to find this in a chest.

 

Armor #9: Swallongsong Bracer
Chapter 9 – Location: Corel Desert > Rustladen Reservoir (Open World Cache) – found in a chest at the open world cache location “Rustladen Reservoir” in the north of Corel desert.

 

Armor #10: Big Horn Bracelet
Chapter 9 – Open World (Gongaga Region) – In a chest in Watchman’s Lookout, north of Gongaga village.

 

Armor #11: Sage Armband
Chapter 9 – Objective: The Shadows Beckon – Location: Coolant Control B4 – inside the Reactor that you go to during the story in Gongaga. Once you enter Coolant Control, you’ll be in a large room full of water, swim through and climb onto a broken platform for this.

 

Armor #12: Celestial Bangle
Chapter 10 – Objective: Let the Trials Begin – Location: Cave of the Gi > Chamber of Deception > Ascent of Ridicule Upper Flight – While going through the dungeon section as Red XIII, this will be in the “Chamber of Deception”. After you open the big gate by cutting the rope, go down a set of stairs and climb the wall on the left to reach this chest (you will already see the chest straight in front of you when entering the room).

 

Armor #13: Backbone Bracelet
Chapter 10 – Location: The Celestica (Open World Cache) – Found in a chest in the “Celestica” cache location (open world, in north-west of Cosmo Canyon).

 

Armor #14: Hades Armlet
Chapter 11 – Objective: Escape Plan – Location: Mako Research Facility Section E5 – While playing as Cait Sith, the story makes you go through a bunch of ducts. When you reach a room where you must throw a box down onto the switch to open the red vent. After going through this red vent, it will be on the left. Before you have to use the moogle to place boxes on a freight elevator to lower it with the weight.

 

Armor #15: Valkyrian Bangle
Chapter 11 – Open World – Found in a chest at Nidhogg Grotto Cache Location, right next to Fiend Intel 4: Stone-Cold Spitter. Must do Side Quest: Esoteric Secrets of the Elders to unlock the Chocobo. Then you can use the Chocobo’s Water Jet ability to fly to it over the water.

Armor #16: Chocobo Armband
Chapter 11 – As part of Side Quest: Esoteric Secrets of the Elders, beat the Chocobo Sage in Zoom de Chocobo race.

Armor #17: Cetran Bangle
Chapter 13 – Objective: Into the Labyrinth – Location: Path of Delusion – After jumping down a waterfall (story-related), continue until you have two gravity gears to choose from, use the Mauvestar Gear, then climb up the vines and follow the path to find the armor.

 

Armor #18: Cetran Armband
Chapter 13 – Objective: Keep Trying – Location: Order’s Altar – After charging the fourth font as Aerith, climb up the stairs and this will be at the top.

 

Armor #19: Cetran Armlet
Chapter 13 – Objective: The Hunt Begins Anew – Location: Salvation’s Altar – When playing as Aerith again, go forward and left into another room with this armor.

 

Armor #20: Cetran Bracer
Chapter 13 – Objective: The Materia Awaits – Location: Shrine of Ambition – After completing the trials continue forward and go down the stairs, then go down the stairs into the room on the right for this.
