This list shows all enemies in Final Fantasy 7 (VII) Remake. There are 114 enemies listed in the enemy intel section of FF7 Remake. This overview also includes their weaknesses.
Normally, you’d have to use the Assess Materia on every enemy type, but if you forgot to do so or just want to have everything at a glance you can look it up here. This way you don’t always need to have Assess equipped. It can be particularly helpful on hard difficulty to free up a Materia slot and just look up the weaknesses and resistances for the enemies.
As a rule of thumb:
- Humans are weak to Fire
- Machines / Robots are weak to Lightning
- Monsters are weak to Ice
- Flying Enemies are weak to Wind
There are very few exceptions to this rule (mostly with bosses), for 95% of normal enemies this generalization will apply.
This enemy list is in the same order and numbering as the in-game “Enemy Intel” list found in the Pause Menu. Click the Screenshots to see the enemy and enlarge its assess info text.

DeathSlayer says
How do you scan Ifrit? I can’t find any info on where to fight him at.
PowerPyx says
He’s part of the Pride and Joy Challenge in Shinra Combat Simulator (Chapter 17). You fight all the summons leading up to Pride and Joy. During the round with Bahamut he will summon Ifrit at 50% health so you fight both Bahamut and Ifrit at same time and can scan Ifrit.
Plutters says
The Plush Tonberry and Boom are currently showing as ‘????’ and ‘????????’ respectively. Is there anyway to reveal their true name or is that how it is supposed to show?
Maxim-Evil says
Thanks for the list and all the hard work with the guide.
Small corrections:
• 34 – Sledgeworm (Lightning, not Fire)
• 55 – Blugu (Lightning, not Ice)
PowerPyx says
Fixed. Thanks for leaving a comment and helping to make the guide better 🙂
Andrew says
SO MANY enemies, all finely animated with individual attacks… So nice.
Finally, a quality remake actually worth playing.
