Starting Location: A New Horizon

Walk to the keep with Yuna

Right after the final cutscene of Act 1 you will be spawned in a new portion of the map and Yuna will be waiting in front of you. You are tasked with walking her to the Keep. It is a short walk, just head to the waypoint across the stream and into the town ahead, Yuna will follow.

Speak with Lord Shimura in the keep

From where Yuna stops following head straight up the stairs and enter the keep ahead. Once you open the door you will be brought in with a cutscene.

Optional: Speak with your allies

Once the cutscene with Lord Shimura is over you will be tasked with getting your horse ready at the stable, however you are also given this optional quest. To complete this optional quest you must speak to your sensei located on the outside of the keep on the side of the building between two archery targets.

Ready your horse at the stables

From the keep head to the backside of the building on the left and you will see a small pathway in the stone wall in the rear towards the left corner, head down that path and once you get to the bottom landing this objective will complete.

Speak with Yuna

Yuna will be right in front of you at the stables. Simply walk up to her and commence speaking.

Mount your horse

After the cutscene with Yuna you will be tasked to mount your horse who will be 6 steps in front of you. Simply walk up to your horse and mount it.

Wait for the gate to open

Once you mount your horse the NPCs will automatically start opening the gate, sit tight.

Ride with Lord Shimura

Once the gates open ride alongisde Shimura. There will be a bunch of interactive dialogue but eventually you will continue riding faster and come across a burned village. You will be overlooking a valley of smoke and fire with a group of enemies riding through.

Clear the way to the lighthouse

Ride down towards the enemies with Lord Shimura and dismount to take out all of the enemies. Use Stone Stance to have the easiest time with this group of enemies.

Ride with Lord Shimura

Once all the enemies are defeated you will need to ride again so press left on your D-Pad to call your horse back over and mount the horse.

Defeat the Mongols

Once you get to Fort Ito there will be some Mongols outside. You will need to defeat all of these enemies to progress. Once you defeat the first wave the gates will open with more enemies coming out. Defeat them and head inside defeating the archers, spear users and ax wielders.

Reach the Mongol Alarm

Once you are in Fort Ito taking out the Mongols the checkpoint will change to have you head to the alarm. its at the waypoint in the far right corner from where you entered the fort but be careful as there are a load of enemies there and a Leader.

Speak with Lord Shimura

Once you defeat the wave of enemies and the Leader you will have to speak to Lord Shimura. If you are already close to him this will happen automatically, if you are not close enough simply walk up to him to progress.

Reach the front gate with Lord Shimura

After speaking to Lord Shimura he will head back to the front gate. Follow him and meet him at the entrance to the fort.

Defeat the Mongols

Once you get to the front gate a caravan of Mongols will come charging up the road. The fastest way to take care of the enemies is to fire an arrow at the caravan in the front exploding and killing most of the Mongols. Defeat what Mongols are still left by hand.

Speak with Yuna

Once the Mongols are defeated you must head over to where Yuna is standing to start the next cutscene.

Travel to the lighthouse

After the cutscene head back in to Fort Ito and look to the back left corner, the giant building with green rooftops is the lighthouse.

Proceed to the lighthouse to continue the quest. Once you get to the lighthouse you will trigger a cutscene.

Climb the lighthouse with Lord Shimura

Once the cutscene has ended simply run across the bridge into the lighthouse and climb the two ladders leading to the top platform.

Listen to the woman

After the cutscene in the lighthouse a woman will walk up to you. Simply don’t move and listen to what she has to say.

Speak to the Warrior Monk

After listening to the woman head to the center of the fort where the waypoint is to meet up with the monk. Once you get close the cutscene will start on its own.

Follow Norio

After the cutscene the Warrior Monk Norio will walk forward a small amount, simply walk up to him again to complete this objective.

Exit the fort’s Northern Gate

Once you are finished speaking with Norio, head to the gate that is opposite from the one you entered Fort Ito from originally, the gate you want is near where the alarm was earlier. Once outside the gate another cutscene will trigger ending the mission.

This finishes the A New Horizon quest in Ghost of Tsushima.
