The Lightning in the Storm is a main tale in Ghost of Tsushima – Iki Island DLC Expansion. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Lightning in the Storm Main Quest.
The Lightning in the Storm is unlocked after completing Jin From Yarikawa
Main Tale: The Lightning in the Storm
Region: Iki Island
Quest Giver: Fune
Requirement: completed Jin From Yarikawa
Rewards: Major Legend Increase, Saddlebag & Tribal Terror Mask
Mission Info: Now that we sank the Mongol Warship threatening Iki’s coastal waters, I should speak with Fune about how to advance our fight against the Eagle Tribe.
Objectives:
- Speak with Fune
- Travel to Fort Sakai
- Free the Prisoners outside of the Fort
- Speak with the freed Raiders
- Enter Fort Sakai
- Release the Prisoners in the Lower Fort
- Defeat the remaining Mongols
- Reach the Upper Fort Gates
- Defeat the Mongols in the Upper Fort
- Advance through the Tenshu Gates
- Kill Khunbish
Starting Location: The Lightning in the Storm
Speak with Fune
Fune can be found on top of her house. Speak to her to determine the course of the action.
Travel to Fort Sakai
If you happen to have any fast-travel-point nearby, use it to save some time.
Free the Prisoners outside of the Fort
The outer perimeter of the Fort has a few guards around. Those on top of the watchtowers can easily be picked off with a bow.
If you cleared those stealthy, you can continue with a more subtle approach and take out the Shaman and his buddies without too much hassle.
Speak with the freed Raiders
Once all enemies in the area are down, talk to the Raiders to proceed.
Enter Fort Sakai
After getting the Raiders on your side, go towards the Gate and head inside.
Release the Prisoners in the Lower Fort
Once inside, there will be three sections with caged Raiders. The quickest way is to smash the gates instead of opening them regularly.
The quicker you are with freeing them, the more aid you will have at your disposal, fighting alongside you and distracting enemies.
A bit further uphill, there will be two more sections with two and four cages, respectively. Smash them open and take care of the remaining Mongols.
Defeat the remaining Mongols
With the help from all the Raiders you’ve freed, taking care of the Mongols got quite a bit easier, as they are all occupied and you can get a few blows from behind, dealing good damage.
Reach the Upper Fort Gates
Once all the Mongols in the Lower Fort are down, continue uphill to the next large gate.
Defeat the Mongols in the Upper Fort
As mentioned above, using your allies as a strategic advantage is helpful, as they help distract the enemies.
Advance through the Tenshu Gates
The last set of enemies didn’t last too long, either, so it is time to proceed through the last large gate.
Kill Khunbish
Shortly after proceeding through the gate, we will face mini-boss Khunbish, who is in charge of the Fort. Until now.
With all the fighting prior to this one, you’ve probably accumulated quite a bit of Resolve, which you can nicely spend here 
+ 
to deal a few quick hard blows on him.
After the fight, he starts to flee. Head over the bridge, into the house and up two sets of ladders to finish him off for good.
