Collectibles Overview:
Collectibles
#1 – Nornir Chest
Take a boat to reach the beach of Alberich Island, in the north of the big lake. Directly on the beach you find the Nornir Chest. You must throw the axe at 3 glyph seals in quick succession. They are all here at the beach. The first is in the back left corner of the beach, throw the axe at the wooden board with white markings, this will raise the glyph seal behind the metal bars, quickly retrieve your axe and throw it at the glyph before it lowers again. The second one is at the front left of the beach, shoot a green arrow at the wooden crane that holds the glyph, then you can hit the glyph with the axe. The third is behind the chest. Since the first throw with the timed event is the hardest, it’s best to start with that one and then quickly hit the other two. If you take too long it will reset and you must hit them all again.
#2 – Berserker Gravestone (Asgard’s Might – Amulet Enchantment)
Next to the Nornir Chest, in the middle of the beach. To interact with it you need a story item “Inert Hilt of Skofnung” which is automatically obtained in Mission 9: The Word of Fate. The boss that spawns is one of the harder ones in the game, it’s recommended you are at least Gear Level 6 (the average level of your equipment seen in the top left of the weapons menu). The higher your gear level, the easier the boss will be. Defeat the boss “Beigadr the Feared”.
#3 – Favor: The Lost Treasure
For this you need the Spear weapon (automatic story unlock), if you don’t have it yet you must come back later. To the right of the Berserker Gravestone you must throw the spear at the wall where wind is coming out. This creates a path to climb up. Immediately turn left to find a spirit offering the Favor “The Lost Treasure“. You may already have gotten the favor from another Spirit in Alberich Hollow region, but regardless talk to the Spirit to get a quest marker at the end of Alberich Island. It will automatically count this as complete when you open the Legendary Chest collectible at the end of the area. So simply continue with the rest of the collectibles and you’ll get this done automatically.
#4 – Odin’s Raven
After talking to the spirit head to the end of the path. To the left of a broken bridge are some green soundstones, shoot a green arrow to blow them up. Behind these you can find a raven flying in circles. Throw your axe when it flies by.
#5 – Yggdrasil Rift (Lindwyrm + Gale Spark)
From the Raven, turn right and go to the end of the path, there you can throw a spear at a rock with wind coming out of it, below the grappling point. This will raise the grappling point, you can now use it to jump across to the platform in the water. On this platform you find the Yggdrasil Rift. It contains a Lyndwyrm for “The Lost Lindwyrms” Favor. You must have accepted this favor from the Squirrel at Sindri’s house, he gives you the Lindwyrm Trap, without it you won’t be able to pull the wyrm out of this rift. The favor is available after Main Mission 09: Word of Fate but you can’t access this area anyway until you got the spear from Main Mission 10 so you should already have it. After pulling out the Lindwyrm, interact with the rift a second time to make it count as completed.
#6 – Lore (Treasure Map – Washed Ashore)
From the Yggdrasil Rift use the grappling hook at the end of the platform. After landing, turn left to find this treasure map scroll on the ground.
#7 – Odin’s Raven
To the immediate right of the previous collectible, you can look through a gap in the rocks to see this Raven.
#8 – Legendary Chest (Jewel of Yggdrasil)
From the Raven, turn around and throw a spear at the glowing rock, blow it up. Pull the chains on the left, after pulling them all the way throw an axe at the blue cog on the right to freeze it. Use the grappling hook to jump back on the middle platform, throw a spear at the glowing rock near the frozen cog and blow it up. This reveals a geyser that powers the elevator. Go back to the chains, pull them again all the way but this time shoot a purple arrow at the cog and then the axe to keep it frozen. Now you can retrieve the axe, the cog should stay frozen thanks to planting a purple arrow on it. Hop back over to the middle platform and throw you axe at the geyser to freeze it. Now grapple to the elevator by the water wheel, unfreeze the geyser to make the elevator go up. Then simply climb to the very top of the area and the Legendary Chest will be in front of you. Opening it also completes “The Lost Treasure” objective for this region.
That’s 100% of the collectibles you can find in Alberich Island area in God of War Ragnarok.
