Infinite Blood Echoes & Item Duplication
This glitch / exploit lets you duplicate any stackable item in the game by using the storage in Hunter’s Dream and can be used to get millions of Blood Echoes in just a few minutes. With this trick you will be level 594 (maximum level) in no time and the game will be incredibly easy to complete.
Important: This glitch no longer works with patch 1.02! You must reinstall your game to downgrade it back to version 1.00, then you can use the glitch again. Disconnect from the internet (in your consoles network settings) to avoid it loading the patch in the background. If you haven’t started the game yet, it’s highly recommended you play offline from the beginning and never install any patches.
It works like this:
Step 1: Create a 2nd character by starting a new game
Step 2: With the 2nd character go to the workshop in Hunter’s Dream and put a Pebble into the storage
Step 3: Press the Options-Button and Exit the game (you will now come back to the title screen)
Step 4: Switch back to your main character (select “Load Game” in the title screen)
Step 5: Clear out the storage of your main character (in Hunter’s Dream, you can sell items at the merchant if you cannot carry any more of them)
Step 6: Put the item you want to duplicate into your storage (1 unit is enough). If you want to get unlimited Blood Echoes you put in Coldblood. If you want to dupe a certain upgrade material you put in that material.
Step 7: Now put in as many Pebbles as you want and it will convert them into the other item. Buy more Pebbles at the merchant and keep putting them into the storage. Now a worthless Pebble becomes an item of your choice.
Step 8: Repeat Step #7 as often as you want. When you want to dupe another item you repeat Steps #5-7.
This only works with stackable items, not with weapons! When you turn off your PS4 or close the application you will have to do steps 2-7 again to get the glitch to work in your new game session.
The video was captured with patch 1.01 installed.
Hunter’s Essence
Acquire all hunter weapons.
There are 26 Hunter Weapons in Bloodborne. Finding all of them will earn you the “Hunter’s Essence” trophy. The ones you have found will be listed in your inventory under the Weapons tab. There are 15 right-hand weapons (melee) and 11 left-hand weapons (firearms). You do not need to equip them to unlock the trophy, only find them.
Most of the weapons require so called “Hunter Badges” to be unlocked. Some of those badges unlock multiple weapons at once. They will then be for sale at the merchant in Hunter’s Dream. Once you have found the badge you can buy the weapon anytime.
The two weapons “Blade of Mercy” and “Burial Blade” are missable! For Blade of Mercy you need to kill Eileen the Crow in the beginning of the game or complete her questline. For the Burial Blade you must refuse Gehrman’s offer at the end of the game and kill him. The Burial Blade can then be bought in New Game+.
This video guide shows all weapons in story order. Collect them before fighting the endboss (when the workshop in Hunter’s Dream starts burning). Killing the endboss will immediately trigger New Game+ and there’s no way to go back. If you fail to grab the missable weapons you can get them later in New Game+.

Acquire all special hunter tools.
There are a total of 9 Special Hunter Tool locations in Bloodborne. Finding all of them will earn you the “Hunter’s Craft” gold trophy. The ones you have found will be listed in your inventory under the “Consumables” tab. They are the ones that require a certain arcane attribute level to be equipped. They can be used unlimited times to cast different spells and consume QS bullets.
It’s highly recommended that you wait with collecting them until you have reached the last story boss (when the workshop in Hunter’s Dream starts burning). You can still reach all of them at the very end of the game. But do not beat the endboss yet as it will trigger New Game+ and then there’s no way to go back.
Kill all bosses, except for the endboss so that you have access to all areas.

The Source of the Dream
Discover the abandoned old workshop, the source of the Hunter’s Dream
The Abandoned Workshop can be accessed from the Cathedral Ward area. You must defeat the “Blood-Starved Beast” first! He can be found in the Old Yharnam area. After this boss is dead a new door will open up at the spawn point of the Cathedral Ward. Go through the door on the right and use the elevator to get upstairs. You must then drop down a ledge on the right side of the tower. Now go inside the tower (where it’s really dark and there are lots of wooden platforms). There is a tiny platform on the wall of the tower. You must roll down onto this platform. Be sure you have enough health or you will die from the fall!
After you’ve made it to the wooden platform you just need to drop down to the gate, open it, and enter the abandoned workshop area.
The Choir
Gain entry to the realm of the Choir, the high stratum of the Healing Church.
The Realm of the Choir can be accessed from the Cathedral Ward area. But first you must find the Upper Cathedral Key in the Yahar’Gul Unseen Village. You come to this area after beating a boss called “The One Reborn”. From the spawn point you must follow the path on the left until you come to an area where a big monster shoots a laser beam at you. Here you must drop down on the right side to find the key.
Now teleport back to the Cathedral Ward and go through the door on the right side of the room you spawn in (you have to defeat the “Blood-Starved Beast” boss to open the door). Go up the tower and you will find a gate that you can open with the key. After that the trophy will pop.
Cainhurst
Gain entry to Cainhurst, the lost and ruined castle.
To get access to Cainhurst Castle you must first find the Cainhurst Summons Letter. It is in the room where the game started. You must go through the “Forbidden Woods” area to reach it (accessed from the Cathedral Ward). Stay on the left side of the area and go up the hill, then through the acid swamp and up some ladders. Eventually you will come to the back entrance of the clinic where the game started, but it’s a very long walk.
Pick up the Cainhurst Summons in the clinic and teleport to “Hemwick Charnel Lane” (accessed from the Cathedral Ward). There’s a cliff just before fighting the Witch of Hemwick boss. When you walk towards the cliff a cutscene will be triggered and a carriage is summoned. Enter the carriage and it will bring you to Cainhurst Castle.
Weapon Master
Acquire a weapon of the highest level.
To get this trophy you must upgrade one of your weapons to level 10. This can be done in the wokrshop of Hunter’s Dream.
You will need the following materials to make the upgrades (or fortifications as the game calls it):
+1 = 3 Blood Stone Shards
+2 = 5 Blood Stone Shards
+3 = 8 Blood Stone Shards
+4 = 3 Twin Blood Stone Shards
+5 = 5 Twin Blood Stone Shards
+6 = 8 Twin Blood Stone Shards
+7 = 3 Blood Stone Chunks
+8 = 5 Blood Stone Chunks
+9 = 8 Blood Stone Chunks
+10 = 1 Blood Rock
Blood Shards, Twin Shards and Chunks are very easy to find and you should find enough of them without even trying. Shards are in the early parts of the game, Twin Shards halfway through the game and Chunks in the endgame. While they are also dropped by some larger enemies I don’t recommend farming them as it takes too long. It’s much quicker to just explore the areas, pick up the golden glowing loot and kill the little bugs that run away from you. The weird looking bugs always hold upgrade materials. You need to kill them quickly as they will disappear after a short moment. The ones in Mergo’s Loft hold several Blood Chunks.
By the time I reached the endboss I had fully upgraded my weapon and still had 30 Blood Chunks left without doing any farming. Just go to all areas, explore them carefully and kill all enemies.
You can also make use of the duplication exploit to get unlimited upgrade materials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MnU9tiuEm4
The only material that’s really hard to find is the Blood Rock. It can be found in an endgame area called “Mergo’s Loft: Middle”. Near the lamp checkpoint there’s an elevator outside. While riding the elevator you need to jump through a window. The enemies in this area use strong Frenzy attacks, so bring a bunch of Sedatives and use them before the frenzy bar fills up. The path will lead you to a lever and using the lever triggers a short cutscene where you see a big monster being dropped down a tower. Go into this tower where the monster was and you will find the Blood Rock.
Blood Gem Master
Acquire an extremely precious blood gem.
The layer 1 boss of the Ailing Loran Dungeon drops a level 15+ blood gem that will unlock this trophy. You can get the Ailing Loran Chalice by defeating Amygdala in the Nightmare Frontier area (story). The drops are somewhat random, so if he doesn’t drop the rune the first time you can replay the dungeon until he does.
Rune Master
Acquire an extremely precious Caryll Rune.
You can get this trophy relatively early in the game. After defeating the “Blood-Starved Beast” boss in Old Yharnam you must head to the Cathedral Ward area. A new door will now be open in the room with the lamp checkpoint. There’s an elevator behind the door. While riding the elevator you must jump through the window behind you. There is only a very short time window to make the jump, but if you mess up you can just keep going up and down with the elevator until you make it. The path behind the window will lead you to a treasure chest. It contains the “Formless Oedon” Caryll Rune which increases you maximum QS Bullets by 4.
Cleric Beast
Defeat Cleric Beast.
The Cleric Beast boss fight takes place in the “Central Yharnam” area (on the big bridge).
My character level for this fight: 13
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (one-hand version, no upgrades)
Cleric Beast is the first boss in the game. The basic strategy for this fight is to attack him from behind at all times. He is very slow and will rarely hit you when you are behind him. Should he hit you, keep in mind that counter-attacking him with some quick strikes will replenish your health. So instead of using up your health potions perform some counter attacks right away and you will get your health back + deal some damage at the same time. Don’t waste too much stamina by dodging attacks. It doesn’t matter if you get hit, as long as you have enough stamina left to perform a bunch of quick counter attacks. Despite being on a very low level I didn’t have to use any health potions in this fight, simply because I performed enough counter attacks.
If you are really having trouble with this boss you can also throw Oil Urns and Molotov Cocktails at him. The Oil Urns will drastically increase the damage dealt by the Molotovs. This will take away a lot of his health and give you a good start for this fight.
Father Gascoigne
Acquire a weapon of the highest level.
The Father Gascoigne boss fight takes place in the Central Yharnam area (in the graveyard).
My character level for this fight: 13
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, no upgrades)
Father Gascoigne is the second boss in the game. Bring some molotovs to this fight! You can buy them in the Hunter’s Dream headquarters.
The first part of the fight is easy with the Hunter Axe (transform it into the bigger two-hand version by pressing L1). Hold down the R2-Button to power up a strong attack when Father Gascoigne is heading your way. Timing is very important here and you need to get a good feeling for the distance between you and the boss. If you are too close he will hit you before you can perform your power attack. If you are too far away you will miss him and he may land a couple of devastating hits on you. Don’t heal yourself right away after getting hit. Try to land a counter attack first as it will restore the health you’ve lost from the last hit and at the same time it damages the boss. When you’ve got the timing down you will barely need any health potions (only use them when you’d die from the next hit).
Using the R2 power attack will knock him over for a short moment. Now stand near the boss and wait until he gets up to strike you. Walk away just far enough so he won’t hit you and perform another power attack with the axe (don’t evade as it will delay your follow-up attack). You just need to wait for the boss to run into your Power Attack and repeat the process. You can also attack him from behind the tombstones and trees.
When he transforms into the monster (30% health left) you should keep throwing molotovs at him quickly. Don’t mess around for too long as he will jump you and it’s hard to evade his attacks. In this final monster form he is the strongest, so you should finish him off as fast as possible. Avoid melee combat when he is in his monster form (he strikes too quickly and does too much damage).
Vicar Amelia
Defeat the beast that once was Vicar Amelia.
The Vicar Amelia boss fight takes place in the “Cathedral Ward” area.
My character level for this fight: 36
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +2 fortifications)
Vicar Amelia is the third boss in the game. There are four types of items you should bring to this fight: Oil Urns, Molotov Cocktails, Rope Molotov Cocktails, Numbing Mist. All of them, except for the Numbing Mist can be bought from the shop in Hunter’s Dream (the Mist can randomly be looted from enemies). Get 10 of each and make a backup of your save game on a USB Stick or the PS+ Cloud just before entering the boss fight zone. In case you lose the fight you copy back your save game to retrieve all items and will spawn in front of the boss again.
When you hit Amelia with Oil Urns you can double the damage of the next Molotov you throw. The most helpful item, however, is the Rope Molotv. First of all, lock in Amelia with R3 to evade her attacks more quickly. The strategy here is to attack Amelia from behind with a couple of quick attacks until your staminia is gone. Now throw the Rope Molotovs on the ground while your stamina regenerates. Once you’ve regained your stamina you attack her again with quick strikes and repeat the process. This will eventually stun Amelia for a few seconds (if you deal enough damage in a short period of time) and you can keep attacking her with everything you’ve got.
When Amelia’s health gets below 30% she will try to heal herself (she will glow golden when she does that). To prevent her from healing you can throw a Numbing Mist at her (this will stop all healing immediately) or you attack/shoot her until she stops.
Because Amelia has so much health it is highly recommended that you level up a bit before this boss fight and put a lot of points into strength. Then your attacks will deal more damage and you can kill her much quicker. I was farming the same group of enemies around the Cathedral Ward for a couple of hours to boost my strength.
The Witch of Hemwick
Defeat the Witch of Hemwick.
The Witch of Hemwick boss fight takes place in the “Hemwick Charnel Lane” area.
My character level for this fight: 38
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +4 fortifications)
The Witch of Hemwick is the 4th boss and probably the easiest in the game. I completed this fight without being hit at all.
There are two invisible witches that you need to find and defeat, but they have very low health, are extremely slow and rarely attack. In the first phase of the boss fight you can only see the health bar of one witch, but don’t be fooled – the other witch is there and takes damage all the same. Just run around the room until you discover a witch and attack it. At least one of the witches should spawn in one of the corners. Attack her quickly and move to the next corner. Repeat until both witches are dead.
You can ignore the minions entirely. You don’t have to kill a single one of them (they would respawn infinitely anyway). So don’t bother with them.
The only dangerous attack one of the witches can do is a blue projectile that stuns you for a short time. Evade when you see something blue coming your way.
When one of the witches is dead it will be revived by the other witch after a short time. You must take both of them out without too much time passing by.
Blood-starved Beast
Defeat Blood-starved Beast.
The Blood-Starved Beast boss fight takes place in the “Old Yharnam” area.
My character level for this fight: 48
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (one-hand version, +6 fortifications)
Blood-Starved Beast is the 5th boss in the game. This boss is rather easy, but uses poison attacks. Use armor with a lot of poison resistance and keep some antidotes in your inventory. You just need to keep attacking the boss quickly with fast strikes. Don’t worry if he hits you. Just keep attacking and it will count as a counter-attack, giving you back your health. Only stay away when the boss uses his poison cloud. When you are poisoned use an antidote. Only heal yourself when the next hit has the potential to kill you, otherwise just keep attacking.
If you haven’t leveled up by this point of the game already, now is the time. Put a good chunk of skill points into strength and skill attributes to kill the upcoming bosses much quicker. Especially this boss fight is a breeze when you do a lot of damage.
Defeating this boss is also going to earn you the first ritual chalice in the game (Pthumeru Chalice) which you can use to play the chalice dungeons.
Darkbeast Paarl
Defeat Darkbeast Paarl.
The Darkbeast Paarl boss fight takes place in the “Hypogean Gaol” area.
My character level for this fight: 48
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +6 fortifications)
Darkbeast Paarl is the 6th boss in the game. You should be using a big weapon with good reach for this fight (the Hunter Axe with some fortifications works great). The reason being that the weakpoint of this boss are his legs and with small weapons it can be tough to make accurate hits.
Always aim for the legs until the boss falls down. Go for a series of quick strikes with the two-hand Hunter Axe. This will stun him for a few seconds and you are free to attack with everything you’ve got. Having a lot of points invested in strength and skill attributes will go a long way in this fight. It’s all about being able to bring the boss down on his knees, then he is defenseless and won’t attack you. And the best way of doing so is to deal a lot of damage to his legs quickly.
Shadow of Yharnam
Defeat the Shadow of Yharnam.
The Shadow of Yharnam boss fight takes place in the “Forbidden Woods” area.
My character level for this fight: 49
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +6 fortifications)
Shadow of Yharnam is the 7th boss in the game. In this boss fight you will be fighting 3 enemies at the same time. Start by taking out the guy that throws fire balls at you. Now take out the guy holding a katana. At the end you focus on the guy with the burning katana.
You will have to dodge a lot in this fight. The enemies attack very quickly and can kill you in 2-3 hits. Bring a lot of health potions with you! When your health runs low you can hide behind the big stone on the right side of the area.
Use the Axe Swing power attack (hold down R2 with two-hand Hunter Axe) to hit multiple targets at once. It deals a lot of damage and stuns the enemies for a short time. You just need to let them run into your power attack.
Rom, the Vacuous Spider
Defeat Great One: Rom, the Vacuous Spider.
The Great One: Rom, the Vacuous Spider boss fight takes place in the “Byrgenwerth” area (you must defeat the 7th boss “Shadow of Yharnam” to get access).
My character level for this fight: 59
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +6 fortifications)
Great One: Rom, the Vacuous Spider is the 8th boss in the game. The most important thing for this fight is to invest a lot of skill points into vitality to get more health. A minimum of 900 health is recommended! If you only have 650 health you will get killed in one single hit, leaving you no chance to heal yourself. Equipping the “Clockwise Metamorphosis” Caryll Rune will give you an additional 5% health boost.
Rom the Vacuous Spider is a very defensive enemy and is guarded by smaller spiders that deal serious damage. You have to be very bold in this fight. Run past the small spiders and attack the boss from the side or back. Don’t face him head-on.
It’s gonna be of great help if you can deal a lot of damage quickly. Then you won’t give the boss a chance to use his AOE attacks or meteorites. He will teleport away after losing a certain amount of health. Look around to find him again. When the boss stands up he will shoot meteorites from the air and when he rolls on his back they will come from the ground. Just ignore the little spiders and attack his side. When you get hit, run away and restore your health.
The One Reborn
Defeat the One Reborn.
The One Reborn boss fight takes place in the “Yahar’gul, Unseen Village” area (you must defeat the 8th boss “Rom, the Vacuous Spider” to get access).
My character level for this fight: 60
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +8 fortifications)
The One Reborn is the 9th boss in the game. He can easily be stunned by attacking his legs. Attack him from the back (where he has smaller legs) until he falls down and gets stunned. He will be moving around a lot, so pick a weapon with good reach. The two-hand Hunter Axe works great as you only need to keep attacking with R2. Even when your stamina is gone just keep hitting his legs with the R2 attack.
You should invest a good amount of skill points into the vitality and strength attributes for this fight and upgrade your weapon. If you don’t have enough health you will die in 1-2 hits. There are some pillars at the side of the area. You can hide behind them to heal yourself.
Roll away immediately when you see his legs glowing red as it will damage you. And try to keep moving as there are a lot of fireballs and other magic projectiles flying around the area.
Micolash, Host of the Nightmare
Defeat Micolash, Host of the Nightmare.
The Micolash, Host of the Nightmare boss fight takes place in the “Mergo’s Loft” area (you must defeat the 9th boss “The One Reborn” to get access).
My character level for this fight: 66
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (one-hand version, +9 fortifications)
Micolash, Host of the Nightmare is the 10th boss in the game. He is one of the easiest bosses because he has only two very weak attacks that are easy to dodge. I didn’t have to use a single health potion in this fight.
In the very beginning you must follow the boss into a small side room. Chase him until he stops in front of the room, then come at him from the other end of the corridor to chase him into the side room. He will only use one magic attack here. Just walk around him (you don’t even have to dodge) and as long as you are moving sideways he will always miss. After he has missed his attack you have a short moment to attack with some quick attacks. Back off again, let him miss another attack and repeat.
When his health drops to 50% he will teleport. Go up the stairs and chase him again. He will go into a room and close the gate behind him. You need to drop into this room from above (go upstairs to find it). This time he will use a new move where he fires projectiles, but they don’t do much damage. Repeat the process from before. Wait for him to fail an attack, then counter-attack with quick strikes and repeat.
The normal enemies / minions can be ignored throughout the entire fight. You don’t have to kill any of them.
Mergo’s Wet Nurse
Defeat Great One: Mergo’s Wet Nurse.
The Great One: Mergo’s Wet Nurse boss fight takes place in the “Mergo’s Loft” area (on top of the building, you must defeat the 10th boss “Micolash” to get access).
My character level for this fight: 68
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (one-hand version, +9 fortifications)
The Wet Nurse is the 11th boss in the game. The strategy here is to lock her in (press R3) and dodge sideways to stay behind her at all times. After dodging one of her attacks you follow up with some quick counter-attacks. When she strikes her blades in quick succession she will be completely defenseless from behind. This is when you have to use some hard hits with R2 to bring down a large portion of her health. If you are quick enough you can defeat her before she summons her clone. But if she does you should dodge both of them and avoid combat completely until the clone disappears.
When you bring 20 health potions you shouldn’t have too much trouble with this fight. Only her spin attack is dangerous because it does 800 damage. Keep your health maxed out at all times.
Martyr Logarius
Defeat Martyr Logarius.
The Martyr Logarius boss fight takes place in the “Forsaken Castle Cainhurst” area (on the rooftop of the castle).
My character level for this fight: 71
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +9 fortifications)
Martyr Logarius is the 12th boss in the game. If you have trouble getting to the Cainhurst Castle, please check out this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJdIerGpYy0
Once you are on top of the castle you need to drop down onto some walls, towers and other platforms to reach this boss.
He is a very agile enemy with a great variety of defensive and offensive attacks. Don’t use R2 power attacks against him as he is very likely to shoot his exploding skull spell at you. Instead you should only use quick strikes and dodge his attacks as good as you can. Make use of the recovery system. When he has only dealt you some light damage just keep hitting him with counter-attacks to regain your health. If the next strike has the potential to kill you back off to the other end of the rooftop and hide behind one of the structures to heal yourself. When he gets stunned you can use a Visceral Attack to deal some significant damage.
In the beginning of the fight it’s best to attack him when he casts the small red skulls above him. Run towards him and land some quick strikes. Most of the time these skulls will miss you. Later on when about half his health is gone he will be using a lot more physical sword attacks. Dodge sideways (not backwards as he will hit you) and try to get behind his back. Then you have an opportunity to land a couple of quick strikes.
Amygdala
Defeat Great One: Amygdala.
The Great One: Amygdala boss fight takes place in the “Nightmare Frontier” area (after going through the acid swamps).
My character level for this fight: 73
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +9 fortifications)
Amygdala is the 13th boss in the game. The Nightmare Frontier can be entered from the “Lecture Building 2nd Floor” area (you come here automatically after defeating a boss called “The One Reborn”). There’s a giant with burning fists in the lecture building and behind him is a ladder that leads to the lower floor. Here is a gate that you can enter to reach the Nightmare Frontier.
At level 70+ she is an incredibly easy boss. Her weakness is her head. From time to time she will hold it down, giving you a perfect opportunity to land some devastating hits. You can also attack her arms to deal damage. Her legs, however, have special armor and aren’t worth attacking.
You just need to stand below her near her legs and she will miss most of her attacks (as she mainly attacks the area near her arms). After she has missed an attack you can land some hits on her. And when you have 1000+ health and bring 20 health potions this will be no challenge at all.
Celestial Emissary
Defeat Great One: Celestial Emissary.
The Celestial Emissary boss fight takes place in the “Upper Cathedral” area (also known as Realm of the Choir).
My character level for this fight: 74
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +10 fortifications)
Celestial Emissary is the 14th boss in the game. It’s an optional and well hidden boss. First you must reach the Upper Cathedral area. Here is a guide on how to get there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-7gH5Gqq4g
Once you are here you must go into the dark room with the 4 werewolves. Go up the ladder and there will be two white creatures. One of them holds the key to the orphanage. Use the key in the room below where you encountered the 4 werewolves and you will get to the Celestial Emissary boss.
This boss fight is utterly easy when you use a fully upgraded two-hand Hunter Axe. The boss summons smaller minions to attack you. You can easily take out all of them with one single axe swing (hold down R2). In the beginning of the fight the boss will be hidden amongst the small minions. Keep attacking it and you can bash away half its health before it transforms to get bigger. Keep using the axe swing to damage the boss and minions at the same time. Just a couple of axe swings and the boss is dead.
Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos
Defeat Great One: Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos.
The Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos boss fight takes place in the “Upper Cathedral” area (also known as Realm of the Choir).
My character level for this fight: 74
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +10 fortifications)
Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos is the 15th boss in the game. It’s an optional and extremely well hidden boss.
Defeat the Celestial Emissary and in the same room where you fought her is a window (next to the lantern checkpoint). Break the window and drop down to a balcony. The path will lead you straight to Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos. She’s basically right next to the Celestial Emissary boss.
Ebrietas is quite tough as she has a lot of health and deals incredible damage. The only way to effectively evade her attacks is to stay behind her at all times. She cannot attack you while you stand behind her, except for when she casts the laser beams (roll away to dodge them). Always stay very close to her and behind her back. If you are out in the open she will come rushing towards you and almost always lands a devastating hit that deals 600+ damage. When you need to heal yourself do so while standing behind her. Your main attack against her should be the axe swing power attack (hold down R2). Her weakness is electricity, so feel free to use a “Bolt Paper” item to add electricity to your weapon for a short period of time.
Defeating her will earn you the “Chalice of Isz” and two bronze trophies.
Yharnam, Pthumerian Queen
Defeat Yharnam, Blood Queen of the Old Labyrinth.
The Yharnam, Pthumerian Queen boss fight takes place in the Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice Dungeon (layer 3). Defeating her will earn you a Gold Trophy (Defeat Yharnam, Blood Queen of the Old Labyrinth).
Recommended Character Level: 120+
Recommended Weapon: Hunter Axe (one-hand version, +10 fortifications, or any other one-hand weapon that deals a lot of damage with a single hit)
Getting to the Ihyll Dungeon is a long and tedious task. First you need to get the “Pthumeru Chalice” by defeating the Blood-Starved Beast boss in the story. You will also need the “Ailing Loran Chalice” which is dropped by the Amygdala boss in the story.
Now you need to play through the following Dungeons:
– Pthumeru Chalice (3 layers)
– Central Pthumeru Chalice (3 layers)
– Lower Pthumeru Chalice (4 layers)
– Ailing Loran Chalice (You only need to find the “Bastard of Loran” material to perform the ritual for the next dungeon. When you have it you can quit out, no need to finish the dungeon as it doesn’t drop a chalice you need)
– Defiled Chalice (3 layers)
– Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice (3 layers)
The Pthumerian Queen is the endboss of the last dungeon. You do not need to play the dungeons with the word “Root” in their name! Completing a dungeon will always give you a chalice to play the next one (dropped by the boss on the last layer). You also need to find plenty of materials to perform the Chalice Rituals. They are all found inside the dungeons themselves, with the only exception being the “Living String”. It’s obtained by killing a secret enemy in Mergo’s Loft. Here’s a guide for finding the Living String: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riCdiK6VAm8
The boss fight against the Pthumerian Queen is actually quite easy. The tactic here is to hit her twice, then back off, dodge her next attack and repeat. If you hit her more than twice she may stun you and that would put you in a very dangerous position. Play it safe and you will be fine. Your level doesn’t even matter that much. If you do less damage it will just take longer, but the strategy still applies.
When she summons her clones you go kill them first, then continue attacking the boss. She uses almost only blood attacks, so put on an armor with a lot of blood resistance (Knight’s Armor Set). The tactic remains the same during the entire fight. Hit twice, back off, repeat.
Here is a video for finding the Living String (required to enter the dungeon where you fight the queen):
Yharnam Sunrise
You lived through the hunt, and saw another day.
To get this game ending you must go to Gehrman in Hunter’s Dream and submit your life to him. The gate in Hunter’s Dream will be open after defeating the boss “Mergo’s Wet Nurse”.
You should back up your save game on a USB device or in the PS+ Cloud before talking to Gehrman. There are 3 trophies tied the different game endings and once you’ve talked to him it will start New Game+ immediately and there is no way to go back.
To back up your save game go to the PS4 Settings, click on “Application Saved Data Management” and select where you want to back up your save game. After watching this ending you copy it back to your console. Then you can get the other game endings, finish up optional bosses, dungeons and other trophies.
Honoring Wishes
Captivated by the Moon Presence, you pledge to watch over the Hunter’s Dream.
Gehrman, the First Hunter final boss fight takes place in the “Hunter’s Dream” area. He is the endboss and defeating him unlocks the “Honoring Wishes” gold trophy.
My character level for this fight: 84
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +10 fortifications)
Gehrman, the First Hunter is located behind the gate in Hunter’s Dream. The gate opens after defeating “Mergo’s Wet Nurse” and when the workshop starts burning. He is by far one of the hardest bosses in the game and a minimum health of 1200 is strongly recommended. The easiest strategy for this fight is to use the Axe Swing power attack (R2). You just need to let him walk into your axe swing and it will knock him over, then prepare the next axe swing for when he gets up. Timing is very important, but after a few tries you shouldn’t have too much trouble with it. Towards the end of the fight he will have a green aura surrounding him. This means he cannot be stunned or knocked down anymore. So after landing an axe swing he will keep coming at you. This is the hardest part of the fight, save up some health potions for the end. The first part shouldn’t be all too troublesome if you stick to the axe swing tactic. There are also runes that let you carry a couple more health potions, which is quite useful for this fight.
Childhood’s Beginning
You became an infant Great One, lifting humanity into its next childhood.
Moon Presence is the secret Endboss of Bloodborne. You must consume 3 umbilical cords (collectibles) and defeat Gehrman (the normal endboss) to trigger this fight. Beating Moon Presence will earn you the “Childhood’s Beginning” trophy.
My character level for this fight: 100
My weapon for this fight: Hunter Axe (two-hand version, +10 fortifications)
First you must find 3 Umbilical Cord Collectibles. There are actually 4 of them, but you can pick any 3 you want. The first one is obtained from the “Mergo’s Wet Nurse” boss. You will get it automatically when beating her. The second one is in the Old Abandoned Workshop (accessed from the Cathedral Ward) and the third in the Clinic where the game started (later accessed from the Forbidden Woods). On the upper floor of the Clinic you must kill a woman and loot the Umbilical Cord from her. It’s recommende to pick them up in this order as the third one won’t be available until later in the game.
The fourth one is optional and highly missable (luckily you only need 3 out of 4, so you can skip this one). Before going to the Vicar Amelia boss you can talk to a prostitute called “Arianna”. She is in the Cathedral Ward area, behind a door in the alleyway that leads to Vicar Amelia (left side of Plaza where the two Giants are walking around). When talking to her you must send her to the Cathedral (not the Clinic!). Later in the game, after defeating Mergo’s Wet Nurse she will give birth to a child in the basement of the Cathedral (the room that connects the Tomb of Oedon with the Cathedral Ward). Kill her child to get the Umbilical Cord. If you have already engaged Vicar Amelia you cannot get this anymore.
Use the cords from your inventory right before talking to Gehrman!
The actual boss fight against Moon Presence is rather easy. Stay behind her at all times. Sometimes she won’t be doing anything for a few seconds and you can bash away her health bar. If you die you will respawn in Hunter’s Dream and can try again without having to beat Gehrman again.
