Unlimted Money Exploit & Weapon Duplication
This glitch / exploit lets you duplicate any melee weapon, anywhere and anytime. All you need is the “Melee Throw” skill. It works like this:
Step 1: Buy the Melee Throw Skill
Step 2: Equip your most valuable weapon (or buy one from a merchant). The more valuable your weapon, the more money you will make!
Step 3: Throw your weapon (press the right stick twice) and when it is in the air you open up your inventory immediately. In your inventory you will see that the weapon is still there. You must drop it from the inventory. So basically it will throw & drop the weapon at the same time and that’s how the glitch works.
Step 4: Sell all your duplicates, but also keep one for yourself. You can keep duplicating it as often as you like. If you buy the two backpack upgrades you can carry even more weapons and farm much quicker!
Always keep a repaired version of your favorite weapon in the inventory. Use the duplicates to kill Zombies and when the weapon is about to break you can make a new duplicate. That way you will never run out of weapons!
If you want to farm for money you should stay in a quiet area near a safe zone as the noise may attract enemies.
*This exploit has been patched, but you can still make use of it by deinstalling the patches*
Unlimted Survivor XP & Item Duplication
This glitch / exploit lets you duplicate any item in the game by using the player’s stash (it does not work with weapons, only items e.g. throwing weapons, weapon upgrades, valuable items, crafting materials, disaster relief packages, quest items). This is extremely useful for making a lot of money and it also allows you to reach survivor rank 25 instantly by duplicating packages from aidrops. It works like this:
Step 1: Buy as many lockpicks as possible. Every merchant has them. 1000 lockpicks would be ideal, but it works with any amount (the more you have, the faster you can duplicate other items). You can pick another item of your choosing instead, but lockpicks are the cheapest. Whatever item you choose, just make sure you have a lot of it.
Step 2: Put your lockpicks in the player’s stash (that’s the bag next to your bed).
Step 3: Highlight the lockpicks in the stash and press X+O (PS4) / A+B (Xbox One). This will throw you out of the stash and a grey window will show up for a short moment. Don’t press anything until the grey window disappears!
Step 4: Open the stash again and press Triangle (PS4) / Y (Xbox One) on the item you want to duplicate. You can scroll down your inventory if needed. The item you select in this step will be duplicated 999 times if you started with 999 lockpicks
For quick money: duplicate pouches, bolter tissue, weapon upgrades and other valuable items.
For quick Survivor XP: duplicate the Disaster Relief Packages you get from airdrops and quarantine zones. Turn them in at the quatermaster. If you have 999 of them you will be survivor rank 25 instantly.
Also use this trick for medkits and metal parts. Now you can always repair your weapons for free and heal yourself as often as you want. It’s also a good idea to duplicate weapon upgrades and crafting parts for your favorite mods. Some quest items can be duplicated too!
How to Fast Travel between Slums, Old Town, Antenna
After beating the story you can use fast travel to go back to all the main areas in the game (Slums, Old Town, Antenna). This is very important for searching collectibles and completing all side quests! The game doesn’t actually tell you that you can go back to the other maps or that there is a fast travel option. To fast travel between the Slums and Old Town you need to head to your bedroom in the tower. There’s a poster on the wall that lets you travel to the other map immediately. To get to the Antenna area you need to use the door in the north of the Slums or the sewer entrance in the north of Old Town (there are only some flags and zombie statues there). You can also go back to the sewers if you wish, the access points are marked on the map and are the same that you took during the story missions.
German 9mm Pistol
There are two ways to get a 9mm pistol. The easiest is to pick it up from the cottage in the bottom right corner of the slums. The pistol always spawns here and you can get it right after the game starts or at any other time you see fit.
The second way is to lockpick police vans. Look for them on highways and bring some lockpicks.
You won’t get a pistol from human enemies as they only have rifles and melee weapons. The pistol is also a crucial part for completing the Gunslinger side quest from the upper tower in the slums. The Gunslinger side quest gives you access to a pawn shop that contains two text collectibles. Thereby it’s also a crucial part for collectible hunting.
EXPCalibur Sword
The EXPCalibur is a mighty two-handed sword.
It can be found in the bottom right corner of the slums, on a rock in the water. The sword does massive damage, but unfortunately can only take 7 hits before it breaks.
When you have located the sword you must hold down Square (PS4) / X (Xbox One) for a couple of minutes to pick it up. Removing the sword will start a little fire on the rock. Wait until the fire has burned out to pick up the blueprint for the EXPCalibur.
Korek Machete
The blueprints for the insanely overpowered Korek Machete can be found on a rooftop in the north of the Slums. You should get this weapon as soon as possible to make the rest of the game easier. The Korek Machete does 500 damage, can take 35 hits and has 218 handling. The best part about it is that you can craft the weapon as often as you want and it only costs 10 alcohol and 20 metal parts (which are the most common materials and they can also be bought from merchants).
The Machete has 4 upgrade slots which you can use to increase the damage to over 600.
It’s All in the Writing
Find all text collectibles
For this trophy and achievement you need to find all 34 Notes, 17 Battle Journals and 16 Voice Mails. The Flags and Statues are not required.
Before searching for any collectibles you should beat the story and complete all side quests! Some of them are locked away in areas that can only be entered after completing certain quests. You can still access all areas after beating the game by using fast travel (nothing is missable).
To see how many you have found, open your inventory and press Square (PS4) / X (Xbox One). There you can see an overview of all the text collectibles you have picked up. They all have their own number, so that you can track what you are missing. When you are near a collectible you can use Survivor Sense and it will be marked with an orange icon (hold X on PS4 / hold A on Xbox One).

Trespassing
Complete all Quarantine Zones
There are a total of 8 Quarantine Zones in Dying Light. Completing all of them will earn you the “Trespassing” trophy or achievement. By default these zones will not show up on your map. Only when you get close to them they will be marked. 5 of them are in the Slums and 3 in the Old Town.
Most of the Quarantines require you to pick up some supply crates in buildings or parking garages. In the others you have to kill all enemies to clear the area.
Before attempting to clear the Quarantine Zones you should complete the story and get some good weapons. The reason being that these zones are overrun by hordes of zombies and you won’t stand a chance if your weapons aren’t up for the task.
You can also do this in Co-Op to make things easier.
To fast travel between the Slums and Old Town after beating the story you must go to your bedroom in the tower. There is a poster on the wall and by interacting with it you can travel to the other map immediately. The fast travel is also marked on your world map when you zoom in.
Everybody Dance Now
Simultaneously shock 5 monsters with electricity
This can easily be done with electric traps. You can find one very early in the game, on a street north of the safe zone where the game starts (Slums). Throw some firecrackers to lure the infected to the trap. When 5 or more zombies are in the trap you must activate the power switch to kill them.
Can’t Touch This
Kill 20 enemies in a row without taking damage.
A very easy way to get this is to climb up a fence or building at day (because enemies cannot follow you there) and throw Molotovs or Grenades at groups of Zombies. It also works quite well with guns, especially if you do headshots. Go to the location shown in the video and there should be a street full of Zombies and at the side of the street is a fence that you can climb. Craft Molotovs and throw them into the crowd until the trophy / achievement unlocks.
Keep in mind that there aren’t quite as many Zombies spawning in the early stages of the game. If that’s the case for you, then either throw firecrackers to attract more Zombies or return later on. This spot also works after beating the story.
Mouths Wide Open
Kill a Volatile
Volatiles only come out at night. When one of these creatures is nearby it will be marked on the mini-map. If one of them sees you it will hunt you down. Volatiles are very fast, do massive damage and have 3000 health. They spawn very frequently around the tower (the safe zone in the Slums where the game starts and where most main missions begin). Sleep in your bed to make it nighttime.
Now a very easy way to kill them is to lure them into the electric fence traps around the tower. Activate the trap when a Volatile is chasing you. When the Volatile walks into the trap it should die. If the Volatile doesn’t die right away, keep in mind that there is a second trap on the other side of the building. The traps recharge after half a minute and can be used again. While the Volatiles are stunned from the electricity you can also throw grenades or use firearms to kill them more quickly.
BBQ
Stick a burning zombie on spikes
You can find spikes all around the map. They are almost everywhere – on streets, buildings, roadbloaks and many other places. Make sure you have some Molotovs and Firecrackers in your inventory. Now throw the firecrackers on the spikes and wait for some zombies to arrive. When there are some zombies standing right in front of the spikes you throw a Molotov and then immediately kick them into the spikes. Don’t let them burn for too long or they will die from the flames!
Italian Plumber
Kill an enemy with a wrench, using Vault followed by Drop Attack
To do this you must buy the two skills “Vault” (Agility Level 4) and “Drop Attack” (Power Level 10). Now equip a Wrench, run towards an enemy, vault over them (R1 on PS4 / RB on Xbox One) and use a weapon attack while in the air (R2 on PS4 / RT on Xbox One).
The Drop attack will instantly execute the enemy. The damage stats of your wrench don’t matter for this. Wrenches can be found randomly all over the game world (mostly in the early game). They are often in locked chests. If you find one early in the game, then keep it for this trophy / achievement. If you can’t find a Wrench, ask your friends for help. You can share weapons with other players by dropping them out of your inventory in a co-op session.
Gabriel’s Sword
Add a fire elemental effect to a sword or a khopesh
Swords can be bought from merchants later in the game and after completing the story (you should be survivor level 12 or higher to increase the odds). Go to the merchant in the tower (Slums) and look at what he is selling. If he doesn’t have a sword or khopesh you go sleep in your bed to skip time. This will change the items he is selling. Sleep until he is selling a short sword, saber, two-handed sword or khopesh.
Now head to the Old Town and go to the location from the video (that’s the second map where you go later in the story). There is a blueprint on a rooftop called “Bad Ass”. It allows you to craft a weapon with fire elemental damage. Use it on your sword or khopesh when you have all the crafting materials and the trophy / achievement will unlock.
A Long Way Down
Jump to the water from the Infamy Bridge (Slums) at night
The Infamy Bridge is in the east of the Slums (right side on the world map). Go there at night and run to the very end of the bridge. Jump down to the water and the trophy or achievement will unlock.
If it’s daytime in your game you can go to a safe zone and sleep in your bed to make it nighttime.
