How to Get Money
There is a money glitch that will earn you $25,000 every 20 seconds. That’s a million dollars in a little over 13 minutes. There is a hidden briefcase in the ocean, on the west side of Los Santos. It’s on a sunken submarine. Go dive for it, pick it up and stay at the exact same spot. Don’t use Franklin for this, as he cannot hold his breath for long. Trevor is the best choice.
After getting the briefcase you switch the character and immediately switch back to Trevor. The briefcase will respawn and you get $25,000 again. Your breath will also refill, so don’t worry about dying. Just make sure to stay right above the briefcase spawn point to make this as effective as possible.
This can be done unlimited times and will come in handy for the “A Lot of Cheddar” trophy / achievement which requires you to spend $200 million across all characters.
After amassing a couple million dollars you should invest in the stock market. You can greatly influence the stock values by doing assassination missions.
Here are the stocks you will want to buy before each assassination:
Assassination #1 – Betta Pharmaceuticals (BAWSAQ stocks)
Assassination # 2 – Debonaire (LCN stocks)
Assassination #3 – Fruit (BAWSAQ stocks)
Assassination #4 – Vapid (BAWSAQ stocks)
Assassination #5 – GoldCoast (LCN stocks)
Be sure to buy as many of these stocks as possible with every character before starting these assassination events. The more money you invest, the more profit you are gonna make. As part of the assassinations, you take out certain competitors of the above mentioned companies, which will greatly boost up their market value. Don’t sell your stocks right away though. Wait for 3 days after each assassination and then sell them. You should make well over 75% of pure profit.
Show Off
Complete all Stunt Jumps.
There are a total of 50 Stunt Jumps (Monster Stunts) in GTA V.
Completing all of them will earn you the “Show Off” trophy or achievement. They are also required to reach 100% game completion. It’s best to do them while playing as Franklin. You can trigger his special ability to slow down time while driving. This will come in very handy for lots of these stunts!
The best vehicle for these Monster Stunts is the Pegassi Bati 801 motorbike. You can do pretty much every stunt with it. Some stunts are easier with a sports car though.
If you are stuck at a stunt, use the same type of vehicle that is shown in the video below.
You must always land in a specific area, or even a very specific spot to complete the stunt jump. If you drive too fast, or too slow, you might miss the target area and the stunt will fail.
A nice little trick is to use the quick save before every stunt jump. After loading the save game you will be sitting in your car (or on your bike) again and still be at the exact same spot where you saved the game. That way you will never lose any progress if you die or destroy your vehicle.

From Beyond the Stars
Collect and return all spaceship parts.
There are a total of 50 Spaceship Parts in GTA V.
Finding all of them will earn you the “From Beyond the Stars” trophy or achievement. They are also required to reach 100% game completion. You must start the side mission “Far Out” to make the spaceship parts appear in the open world. This side quest becomes available after beating the “Fame or Shame” main mission.
The spaceship parts are small, glowing objects and emit a vibration sound when you get close. Some of them can only be reached with a helicopter! You can easily get one from the South Los Santos hospital helipad. If you don’t know where that is, jump to 10:39 in this video and you will see its location.
To unlock the trophy / achievement you must return to Omega after finding all 50 parts. He will also give you a unique vehicle.

A Mystery, Solved
Solve the mystery of Leonora Johnson.
There are a total of 50 Letter Scraps in GTA V.
Finding all of them is needed for the “A Mystery, Solved” trophy or achievement. They are also required to reach 100% game completion. The letter scraps can be collected at any time, even in the very beginning of the story. Unlike with some other GTA V collectibles, there are no special requirements or side missions necessary to make them appear in the open world. You can also collect them with different characters if you want, doesn’t need to be a specific one.
The letter scraps are small, glowing pieces of paper. Some of them can only be reached with a helicopter! You can easily get one from the South Los Santos hospital helipad, or the Sandy Shores helipad.
After finding all 50 letter scraps you must go to the green “Killer” question mark while playing as Franklin. There you will meet Leonora Johnson’s killer (Dreyfuss). You must kill him in order to unlock the trophy or achievement! Only collecting the 50 letters won’t be enough, you must finish this side mission!

Close Shave
Complete all Under the Bridge and Knife Flight challenges.
There are a total of 50 Under the Bridge & 15 Knife Flight Aerial Challenges in GTA V.
You need to complete all of these 65 challenges for the “Close Shave” trophy or achievement. It also counts towards 100% game completion.
– Under the Bridge –
First off, get a Maverick helicopter from the South Los Santos hospital helipad. If the Maverick doesn’t spawn, go down to the street and up to the helipad again. You can complete all 50 Under the Bridges with it. Most of them are really quite easy. There are just a few hard ones. You might also want to max out the “Flying” statistic of one of your characters first. You can do that by completing the Flight School.
If your helicopter gets massively damaged, you can use the quick save and immediately reload the game. It will automatically be repaired when loading the save game. Also make use of quick save before attempting the harder Under the Bridge challenges.
To make a challenge count you may not touch the ground or any part of the bridge at all while flying under it! If you have done it correctly you will be notified and a collectible tracker will show up on the screen.

– Knife Flights –
First off, get a fighter jet from Ford Zancudo. You can complete all 15 Knife Flights with it. Alternatively, you can also try to get a stunt airplane. They land at the airport in the desert from time to time. To learn how Knife Flights work you should visit the Flight School at Los Santos Airport. You might also want to max out the “Flying” statistic of one of your characters to have more control over your aircraft.
If your jet gets massively damaged, you can use the quick save and immediately reload the game. It will automatically be repaired when loading the save game. Also make use of quick save before attempting the harder Knife Flight Stunts.

Waste Management
Purchase the old dock and collect all nuclear waste.
There are a total of 30 Nuclear Waste Collectibles in GTA V.
Finding all of them will earn you the “Waste Management” trophy / achievement.
To collect them you need to buy the Sonar Collections Dock with any character. This property can be bought after completing the “The Merryweather Heist” story mission. The dock costs $250,000. You need to pick up the waste with the submarine. The submarine always spawns at the dock.
Pretty much all of the nuclear waste is at the bottom of the ocean. Buying the docks will also give you a new app called “Trackify”. The app starts automatically when entering the submarine and provides a radar that points to the next collectible. The order in this video matches with the order of the Trackify app.
However, the app won’t mark any of the waste on your in-game world map. Sometimes a piece of waste is miles away on a different part of the coast. The submarine is also very slow. If you collect everything in one run it will take about 2 hours.
On the bright side, getting all this stuff will help you uncover the ocean map further and you will get a lot of money. $23,000 per piece of nuclear waste you find and a $250,000 bonus after finding the last one.

Out Of Your Depth
You’re gonna need a bigger boat…
Sharks spawn randomly in deep water. Go out on the ocean (preferably with a boat or Jet Ski) and watch your mini-map until it turns all dark blue. Keep navigating the boat or swim around. After a while you should see a red dot on your radar. That’s the shark! Jump into the water and wait until it kills you. That may take some while, the shark doesn’t spot you right away. It doesn’t matter whether you stay still, swim around or dive. Once the shark kills you, the trophy / achievement will unlock. Sometimes the shark does even attack and destroy the boat which will also give you the trophy / achievement.
Los Santos Customs
Fully mod a vehicle.
You have to beat the story mission “Father/Son” to unlock the car repair shop. You will also need quite a bit of money to fully upgrade a vehicle.
Not all vehicles can be modified! So open the internet browser on your in-game mobile phone and go to “southernsanandreassuperautos.com”. Buy the Weeny Issi for $18,000 and retrieve it from your garage.
Now enter the Los Santos Customs (car repair shop) and buy the following upgrades:
1. Armor — Armor Upgrade 20%
2. Brakes — Street Brakes
3. Brakes — Sport Brakes
4. Bumpers — Custom Front Splitter
5. Bumpers — Custom Rear Bumper
6. Engine — EMS Level 1, Level 2, Level 3
7. Exhaust — Dual Exit Exhaust
8. Hood — Vented Hood
9. Horn — Truck Horn
10. Lights — Xenon Lights
11. Plate — Blue on White 2 (buy what you don’t have)
12. Respray — Primary Color — Chrome
13. Repsray — Secondary Color — Chrome
14. Skirts — Custom Skirts
15. Suspension — Lowered Suspension
16. Transmission — Street Transmission
17. Turbo — Turbo Tuning
18. Wheels — Wheel Type — SUV — Benefactor
19. Wheels — Wheel Color — Black
20. Wheels — Wheel Accessories — Custome Tires
21. Wheels — Wheel Accessories — Bulletproof Tires
22. Wheels — Wheel Accessories — Black Tire Smoke
23. Windows — Light Smoke
Once you have all of that stuff, leave the shop to unlock the trophy / achievement. It won’t unlock while you are in the shop!
Altruist Acolyte
Deliver an unsuspecting victim to the Altruist Cult.
Warning: this trophy / achievement is missable if you deliver all people from random events to their target destination instead of the Altruist Cult.
Only Trevor can deliver persons to the Altruist Cult. It won’t work with any other character.
You will have multiple opportunities to get this. All of the random hitchhiker events work (there are 4 of them). These events will occasionally show up as a blue dot on your mini-map when they are nearby. One hitchhiker can be found at the street on the southern foot of Mount Chiliad. The random events don’t always show up, but have fixed locations. If you cannot find the hitchhiker, simply drive in another direction for a quarter mile and return. The event will spawn sooner or later if you keep doing this.
Drive to the blue dot on the map and wait until the hitchhiker gets into your car. Instead of going to the target destination you must drive to the Altruist Cult. It’s marked with a big “A” on your map, on the west side of Mount Chiliad. This symbol will only show up once the hitchhiker is in the car. Deliver the person to the cannibals of the cult and you will get some money as well as the trophy / achievement.
Wanted: Alive or Alive
Deliver a bail bond target alive.
This can only be done while playing as Trevor! After doing the story mission “Mr. Philips” you can see an orange question mark in the north-east end of the desert. Go there to talk to Maude. This will unlock the bail bond side missions. Go back to your safehouse, take a nap and you should receive an E-Mail with details about your target. You need to head east, to the “Davis Quartz” area. Once you locate the target, quickly shoot the tires of his car and when he tries to run away, hurt him. Do not kill him! To hurt him you can hit him with your car, but just a little bit. Or use the stun gun (can be bought at the gun shop). He will then enter your car automatically and you need to drive back to Maude. After you hand the bail bond target over to Maude, the trophy / achievement will unlock.
Warning: This trophy / achievement is missable if you kill all bail bond targets instead of bringing them in alive! There are 4 bail bond targets, so this is not the only opportunity to get this.
Three Man Army
Survive 3 minutes on at least a 3 star Wanted Level with all three characters together off mission.
Before you can do this you must complete the story mission “Mr. Philips” to unlock Trevor as a playable character. After that you can call the other two characters via your in-game mobile phone. Pick them up with a car. The car has to have 4 doors. Now head to the Los Santos International Airport at the southern end of the map. Once you enter the airfield you will immediately get a 3-star wanted level. Keep driving from one end of the airport to the other and make sure that you don’t lose the cops. You might also want to upgrade your car with the bullet proof tires from the car repair shop to make this a little easier.
Warning: This trophy / achievement is missable! Make sure to complete it before the last five story missions.
A Lot of Cheddar
Spend a total of $200 million across all three characters.
There is an incredibly easy way to boost this trophy / achievement. After finishing the story you should have $20 million available. Open the internet browser, go to the “money and services” tab and open the LCN stock exchange website. Now invest all of your money in stocks and sell them again immediately! You won’t lose any money if you sell the stocks quick enough. You can also do this earlier with less money, but it will take longer.
To look up how much cash you have spent, go to “Cash” in the statistics of the pause menu.
Multi-Disciplined
Attain a gold medal in all applicable hobbies and pastimes.
There are a total of 6 hobbies and pasttimes in GTA V. You only need one single gold medal per type of activity. All of them become available automatically by completing story missions.
There are the following hobbies:
#1 – Shooting Range
#2 – Flight School
#3 -Offroad Race
#4 – Sea Race
#5 – Street Race (just complete Hao’s side mission, it’s available from 8pm to 5am)
#6 – Triathlon
The shooting range is probably the hardest. You will have to get a certain amount of points within a time limit. Shoot quickly and always hit the yellow center area of the targets.
In the flight school you just need to beat a very simple time limit in the first tutorial. In races & triathlon you need to finish first to get a gold medal. Street races become available by beating Hao’s mission. However, the mission itself requires you to get a gold medal in a street race, so you won’t need to complete any further races for this trophy / achievement. Keep in mind that Hao’s mission only becomes available from 8pm – 5am while playing as Franklin and is shown as a question mark on the map. For the other hobbies you can choose whatever character you like.
Kifflom!
Complete your path to enlightenment… or not.
This can only be done while playing as Michael! The Epsilon quest line is the most time consuming one in the game. It becomes available as soon as you unlock Michael as a playable character. See the step-by-step walkthrough below on how to trigger these missions.
You will also need to have at least $90,500 with Michael. Certain donations have to be made and an expensive outfit has to be bought.
However, completing all of these “The Truth” Epsilon missions can earn you up to $2,100,000. In the last quest you have the opportunity for a big cash out. So it’s well worth the time investment.
If you are specifically looking for the five Epsilon vehicle locations (as these are the hardest part of the quest line), jump to 2:31 in the video. All of these vehicles have fixed spawn points. They will spawn at the shown points every time!
Below is a detailed Step-by-Step Walkthrough:
Step 1 (0:05) – Open the internet browser of your in-game phone, go to the Epsilon website “epsilonprogram.com” and complete the evaluation.
Step 2 (0:45) – A question mark will show up in Raton Canyon after a while. Go there.
Step 3 (1:09) – After the cutscene you will get an e-mail. Open the attached link and donate $500 to the Epsilon website.
Step 4 (1:39) – The Epsilon symbol will appear on the world map after some time. Go back to your house and save the game a couple of times until the symbol shows up on the world map. Go there.
Step 5 (1:54) – After the cutscene you will get an e-mail. Open the attached link and donate $5,000 to the Epsilon website.
Step 6 (2:12) – Go to the next Epsilon symbol (takes some time until it shows up on your map, go to sleep in your safehouse again).
Step 7.1. (2:31) – Collect all five Epsilon vehicles (1. Declasse Tornado)
Step 7.2. (3:16) – Collect all five Epsilon vehicles (2. Pegassi Vacca)
Step 7.3. (3:36) – Collect all five Epsilon vehicles (3. Benefactor Surano)
Step 7.4. (3:57) – Collect all five Epsilon vehicles (4. Enus Super Diamond)
Step 7.5. (4:21) – Collect all five Epsilon vehicles (5. Dinka Double-T)
Step 8 (4:58) – Go to the next Epsilon symbol (takes some time until it shows up on your map, go to sleep in your safehouse again).
Step 9 (5:18) – Complete the mission.
Step 10 (7:21) – Donate $10,000 to the Epsilon website.
Step 11 (7:40) – Go to the next Epsilon symbol (takes some time until it shows up on your map, go to sleep in your safehouse again).
Step 12 (7:57) – After the cutscene you will get another e-mail. Open the attached link and buy the robes for $25,000 from the Epsilon website.
Step 13 (8:23) – After the robes are being delivered (takes 1 day), get them from Michaels closet. You need to wear them for 10 cumulative days. Keep going to sleep until 10 days have passed.
Step 14 (8:56) – Go to the next Epsilon Symbol, after wearing the robes for 10 days. You might need to take a few more naps before the symbol shows up properly.
Step 15 (9:25) – Complete the mission.
Step 16 (9:55) – Go to the next Epsilon symbol (takes some time until it shows up on your map, go to sleep in your safehouse again).
Step 17 (10:08) – Wander 5 miles through the desert wearing Epsilon robes. After that you will get a call, take it!
Step 18 (10:54) – Go to the final Epsilon symbol (takes some time until it shows up on your map, go to sleep in your safehouse again).
Step 19 (11:05) – Finish the mission. To get $2,100,000 and a gold medal you must kill everyone and escape with your vehicle.

There’s a better way to get insane amounts of money. It exploits the fact that some stocks go up and down randomly when you advance game time.
I don’t think you can do it at the start of the game, though. I don’t remember exactly if the prices change at all in the beginning or if you have to wait until a specific mission.
The TL;DR: put all your money in a given cheap stock and advance time. Check if you’ve made money. If not, reload your save prior to buying the stock, otherwise sell the stock and overwrite your save.
Steps:
1. make a backup save game with some money in hand;
2. choose a stock among the cheapest ones (the ones that cost around a couple bucks);
3. put all your money in that stock and make a separate save game;
3.1. (optional) to make the process faster, repeat steps 1 and 2 with a different stock;
4. advance game time so that stock prices change;
5. check how the stock price has changed;
5.1. if it went down, reload your backup save and go back to step 2;
5.2 if it went up, sell all of it and go back to step 1.
To buy or sell stocks:
– press up on D-pad to bring up your cell phone;
– go to the internet browser;
– click Money and Services on the navigation tab;
– click Bawsaq;
– click Markets on the navigation tab;
– click Current Price to list cheap stocks first;
– click the stock you with to buy or sell;
– click Buy or Sell;
– hold + until you max out then click Buy/Sell.
The cheaper the stock is, the more money you make despite small changes in its price.
For example, say you have $10,000 bucks and you buy some stock at $1. That means you have $10,000 of that stock. If it goes up to $1.10 that means you’ve made 10% on the stock (1.10 / 1 = 110%). Sell all of it and you’ll have $11,000 in hand.
That may not seem like much, but as you repeat the process the earnings will gradually become huge since each time you’ll be investing more money and your profits will be relative to that (that’s called Compound Interest and Exponential Growth – check Wikipedia for them).
Here’s a very conservative example. In practice you’ll have much faster results:
– say you start with $200,000 and you earn 10% interest at every successful investment;
– after 5 successful investments you’ll end up with $322,102 – not that great but not too bad either;
– after 10 investments you’ll have $518,748.49 which is more than double – not amazing either, but hey;
– after 20 investments you’ll have $1,345,499.98 – now you’re talking;
– after 30 investments you’ll have 3.48 million bucks;
– after 40 investments we’re talking 9.05 million.
Keep in mind:
– a slightly higher profit percentage greatly speeds up the process: 12% profit would reach 6 million in only 30 investments using the example above;
– the cheapest stocks often change price by a lot – sometimes more than 100%, which greatly speeds up the process;
– a larger initial investment will also help speed up the initial growth – maybe find a better cash source until you have $50,000 or more;
– some stocks don’t change their price randomly so learn which ones those are.
You can play around the simulation using any calculator that has can raise a number to a power. The formula is (1 + F/100) to the power T, and all that multiplied by P, where F is the interest rate (say, 10%), T is how many times you’ve repeated the process and P is the initial investment.
