Horizon Forbidden West The Embassy Walkthrough

February 17, 2022 by FranciRoosters Leave a Comment

The Embassy is the 4th Main Story Quest in Horizon Forbidden West (HZFW). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Embassy main mission.

Starting Location: Chainscrape
Quest Giver: automatically triggered upon completing To the Brink
Quest Level: Level 7
Requirement: having completed To the Brink
Reward: +3500 XP, +2 Skill Points, +1 Carja Blazon
Mission Info: With the Daunt cleared of machines, the Embassy between the Carja and Tenakth tribes can at last begin. Aloy must travel to Barren Light to attend.

Objectives:

  • Go to Barren Light
  • Talk to the Guards
  • Follow Lawan
  • Talk to Commander Nozar
  • Go to the Embassy Location
  • Kill the Rebels
  • Kill Regalla’s Champion

Starting Location: Chainscrape

Go to Barren Light

Time to head for Barren Light to finally start the Embassy.

On the way to Barren Light, you’ll encounter some Chargers who are weak to Shock Damage.

You can totally ignore them, but if you want a faster way to get around, it’s recommended to mount one (step required for trophy or achievement Rode All Regular Mounts). To do so, you need to sneak up on it and override it first without getting caught. This will allow you to use the Charger as your steed.

Once you get to Barren Light, enter the fort and approach the guards standing by the gate to talk to them.

Talk to the Guards

Aloy won’t be granted access to the Embassy just yet and so she desires to speak with the commander Nozar to convince him to open the gate.

Follow Lawan

Now follow Lawan up the scaffolding and you’ll meet the commander Nozar.

Talk to Commander Nozar

Nozar tells Aloy that the Embassy cannot begin until all three Tenakth tribes sound their horn. While talking to Nozar, you can decide to wait for the tribes to arrive or go look for them, thus proceeding with the quest. Meanwhile, Varl has caught up with Aloy and joins her back.

Go to the Embassy Location

We can finally head for the Embassy location. Make your way to the marker, and, as usual, grab any parts or resources you can carry.

Kill the Rebels

After the long cutscene, get ready to fight off some Rebels. Most of them will be riding Chargers. You can aim at either the Rebels themselves or the Chargers to kill them. In the second section of the encounter, kill any stragglers.

Kill Regalla’s Champion

From atop the cliff, Regalla will grant her most valuable champion, Grudda, the honor of fighting Aloy. He carries a shield, but in order to attack him, the shield needs to be weakened first. You can weaken it with Acid Arrows or Shock Tripwires.

Once the shield is gone, Grudda will be immune to any attack. You can use this time window to damage Grudda, but be quick because the shield regenerates. Once you’ve finished Grudda, a new cutscene will start. You will also have obtained the Shieldwing, an energy-based glider Aloy can use to safely land from high altitudes.

This finishes The Embassy Main Quest in Horizon 2: Forbidden West.
