Option #2: Approach the abandoned settlement “Riverhymn” to the north of Plainsong and the quest will trigger automatically.
Go to Riverhymn
In Plainsong you can find Nel who will tell you about her village Riverhymn getting attacked but nobody seems to care. Aloy promises to check out Riverhymn to aid them in their battle against Tenakht Rebels.
Kill the Tenakht Rebels
Once you arrive at the gates of Riverhymn you will run into a battle between Riverhymn and Tenakht Rebels. Take care of the Rebels.
Follow Kue / Talk to Kue
Kue wants to have a talk with you and Aloy follows him into the settlement. He tells Aloy about sending someone out to gather Widemaw parts to craft weapons for his people but that person never came back.
Follow Kue / Talk to Kue
Kue accompanies Aloy to the bottom of Drumroot and tells her to reach the top where she can find the needed Widemaws as well as his missing person.
Go to the Top of Drumroot
Aloy begins to traverse the caves until she reaches a flooded room with stone columns to climb up. You need to dive here to find a way around.
You will find Kue’s missing friend and a room with some machines for you to fight.
Keep going up while following the yellow climbing markers (can scan with to highlight them). Jump from ledge to ledge and make sure to drop the ladder to have a shortcut in case of falling down.
Gather Widemaw Metal Pods (6 Pieces)
You can find a small pond here with a Widemaw and a few smaller machines and another one just around the corner. In order to obtain 6 Metal Pods you will have to defeat the 2 Widemaws and loot their remains.
Return to Kue
Now it is time to return to Kue. Luckily you can just glide down from where you are.
Kill the Tenakht Rebels
After Kue crafts the weapon for his people, aid them in the final battle. You will have to defeat Rebels and a few machines.
