The first thing that stands out is that most trophies are story-related from bosses, they will come automatically from the story. What might be challenging here are BIG BOSS rank and completing all VR Missions. Platinum difficulty is going to depend on those two requirements, the rest looks easy enough.
What are your thoughts on the Metal Gear Solid Remaster trophy list? Do you like what you see? Are you going for the Platinum? For all solutions check out Metal Gear Solid Trophy Guide & Roadmap.
Each game in the MGS Master Collection Vol. 1 has its own Platinum & Trophy List. Here are all lists:
- Metal Gear Solid 1 (PS5) Trophy List
- Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS5) Trophy List
- Metal Gear Solid 3 (PS5) Trophy List
Dredd Pirate Rob says
This should be pretty easy since we don’t have to get gold in the VR missions so just completing them will be fine. Getting Fox or Big Boss will be the only hassle.
Chris Ball says
Are you sure about that?
Callie J says
IIRC BIG BOSS rank requires you to basically become a gamebreaking speed runner. No kills, never spotted, beat the game in a few hours. Dunno about FOX rank but BIG BOSS is hell
TH3_HITM47N says
* Difficulty: Extreme on all versions except Original Japanese
* Time: Under 3 Hours
* Continues: 0
* Alerts: 3 to 4
* Kills: 25 or less
* Rations: 0 to 1
* Saves: 0 to 80
* Radar: Off
Notes: There are 11 required kills in the game for all bosses. The original Japanese release is Easy difficulty only, but the top rank is Big Boss. You must turn off the radar in SPECIAL to get Big Boss in the original Japanese release, otherwise you get the rank FOX.
PhantomFear94 says
I believe that for each difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme) you have Ranks 1 through 12, so 48 possible ranks total. Each is code-named.
I believe Elite Codename trophy = playing on Hard or Extreme difficulty whilst earning the highest rank of 12 for that difficulty, Fox being the “best” for Hard and Big Boss being the “best” for Extreme. If not changed, that means:
– 5 Alerts or less, 25 Kills (not counting bosses) or less
– 1 ration max
– No continues
– Saved 80 or less time
– Complete the game in 3 hours or less.
Will be a difficult trophy, although the saves look generous so you may be able to get creative with quitting out to the main menu like the RE remake S-ranks.
Longshanks says
The difficult Platinum seals it for me. I’ll be giving this overpriced package a miss.
Hope you guys enjoy it though. ????
Snake2410 says
I wonder if you can somehow play the original Japanese version in this collection so that you can use easy mode and just go for Fox rank.
AJ P says
I wonder how they plan to do the controller switch for the Psycho Mantis fight
PowerPyx says
You switch the controller through an in-game menu. They changed this because obviously doesn’t work on PS5 / Xbox Series / PC how it used to on PS1.
Sayed Aboalhassan says
Are you going to make a roadmap for all games ?
Knuckles says
I’m excited. I have Platinum on all the other games that have Platinum, ie PS3, PS4, Vita. The hardest trophys to get that require you to play on harder difficulties is what makes Metal Gear so much fun. It’s not impossible, it’s just challenging and really requires the player to memorize areas and “get good”. Kojima made these games to have different ways of conquering areas so some parts may appear hard in the traditional sense which is why you need to think outside the box. (Insert Snake joke here).
Superocco says
The “VR Training Graduatet” trophy is a bit misleading in its description. It states that you should complete all VR training missions, but I guess it refers to the VR Missions game which encompasses around 300 missions. I just finished the VR training that you have in the original game, but the trophy doesn’t pop, so it requires more than that. I guess I’ll just pass for now, just those missions with the Survival Mode were too much for me, 300 is just annoying… although not as annoying as the MGS2 ones.
Michael says
Does anybody know if it’s allowed to use the stealth camo for the Fox rank playthrough?
