Introduction
Welcome to the Phantom Fury Trophy Guide! In order to get Platinum, you will need to complete the game on Hard, find all weapons and do various miscellaneous trophies in specific chapters. As the game has no manual saves or chapter select, you will want to do all of these in one playthrough.
Step 1: Complete the game on Hard, find all Weapons, complete all Miscellaneous Trophies
Start the game on Hard difficulty. Enemies on Hard will have 100% Health, 150% Damage and 150% Accuracy. As you are playing you will want to make sure to collect all weapons, and do the miscellaneous trophies on the chapters that they appear. As there is no chapter select and no manual saving, you will want to do these miscellaneous trophies as you are playing through to avoid having to do a partial second playthrough to get to their locations.
You will find purple canisters that you can pick up called Nanite Cores. These are used to upgrade your arm abilities, suit abilities and weapon abilities, with you getting access to more as the game progresses. Don’t bother getting weapon upgrades, save these for arm and suit abilities that are beneficial. The Magnetic Shield is a good upgrade to get early, as it will allow you to block projectiles with , which will make boss fights and certain encounters noticeably easier.
Below are the chapters that contain miscellaneous trophies. To check what chapter you are on, pause and go to Load Game where you will see the name of the level on each autosave. Some will have multiple opportunities to get them, the below listed chapters are just the earliest.
- Albuquerque Outskirts – Baller
- The Crater – Claw Through , Turbo Killer , Bullseye
- White Sands Facility – Heavy Lover
- Train to Flagstaff – Eye In The Sky , Express Ticket
- Los Alamos Facility Perimeter – BONK!
- Chicago on Fire – STRIKE! , Super Racer
- The Phoenix Tower – New PR
Along the way also follow the Phantom Fury Weapon Locations Guide. There are 17 weapons total, all of which are needed to unlock Lock and Load.
Step 2: Clean Up
If you missed any trophies, now is the time to do them. As there is no chapter select or manual saves, your autosaves will only date back to the last 3 levels, so if you missed anything on an earlier level you will need to start a new playthrough.

BONK! Defeat a Heavy Soldier using only the stun baton |
||
Missable!
Heavy Soldiers wear heavy armor and wield miniguns. They are fairly common in the latter half of the game, and they appear for the first time in Los Alamos Facility Perimeter, just before the boss fight. This can be a little annoying to do just because they cannot take damage from any other source, including their teammates. The first time you encounter them there will be two Heavy Soldiers and two regular grunts, so you can lure out the grunts and kill them first, then try on both the Heavy Soldiers hoping that they don’t get hit from friendly fire. The checkpoint for this first encounter is about 30 seconds before so it’s a good spot to do it. Even on Hard difficulty, killing a Heavy Soldier with the stun baton is pretty easy, as long as you have a decent amount of health. |
||
Safer Than A Screwdriver Retrieve the Demon Core |
||
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. | ||
Eye In The Sky Destroy a helicopter |
||
Missable!
At multiple occasions throughout the story you will encounter a helicopter boss fight. Unlike other boss fights, these can be ignored if you don’t want to fight. The easiest way to deal with these is to unload on them with heavy weaponry (or the Microstinger on later levels), then use the shield with whenever the helicopter unleashes an attack. These will be encountered on the following levels:
|
||
Express Ticket Get off the train in 10 minutes or less |
||
Missable!
This can be done on the level Train to Flagstaff. 10 minutes is pretty manageable to complete when you’re familiar with the level as you can rush through pretty quickly. Unfortunately there is no timer so you will have to time this yourself. Use the Loverboy’s alt attack to auto-target enemies for instakills and avoid looting too much. The best way to do this is to play through the level normally once so you’re familiar with it, then reloading the earliest autosave for Train to Flagstaff and rush through it. Even on Hard difficulty this is pretty manageable. If you want to do this on Easy difficulty, make sure to finish the level on Hard first, then change the difficulty and reload the chapter. Once you finish it, change the difficulty back to Hard and reload your earliest autosave for the next level (The Cabin), and make sure you are still on Hard difficulty. |
||
STRIKE! Get a strike in the Chicago Mall bowling lanes |
||
Missable!
This can be done on the third-to-last chapter, Chicago on Fire. At the end of the Chicago Mall section of the level, you will find the 7th Heaven Arcade, and to the immediate right as you enter is Bowl O Rama. Inside will be three bowling lanes with pins set up. Use your Bowling Bombs to knock all 10 pins over in one lane. This doesn’t have to be done in a single attempt, as long as you knock them all over the trophy pop. |
||
Claw Through Get a prize from the claw machine |
||
Missable!
This can be done on the third chapter, The Crater. Right at the beginning of the level will be the namesake bar, inside which you will find a UFO Crane arcade machine. There are no mechanics to this, simply drop the crane on any item and you will get the prize. If you want there are 3 Nanite Cores in the back right which you can obtain. If you missed this here, you can also do this in 7th Heaven Arcade during the Chicago on Fire chapter. |
||
Turbo Killer Beat the Turbo Killer arcade game |
||
Missable!
This can be done on the third chapter, The Crater. Right at the beginning of the level will be the namesake bar, inside which you will find a Turbo Killer arcade machine. This is probably the most annoying of the arcade trophies. You will need to complete three levels where you must shoot the targets before they hit you and get 960 points. You will have 3 lives and lose one every time you’re hit. The difficulty here is that the enemies on the third level will attack very quickly, and for whatever reason adjusting your sensitivity does not affect this so you are stuck with the slow-moving default speed. Because of this with bad spawns on the third level you can have a very difficult time hitting them all without dying. The best way to do this is to start the game on both weapons, then control one of them. To do this start the arcade game with one of the weapons, hop off the machine, move over to the second weapon and start it there. By starting it with both weapons, both “players” will get 3 lives, and if either of them hit 0 the game will end. This essentially means if you are lucky you can get an extra two hits by having both weapons active. You can also move the gun while the game is paused, so if you get a terrible spawn on the third level (for instance going from the far left to a spawn on the far right), you can pause the game, swing the gun over to where you think it is, then unpause and shoot it. Unfortunately you can’t see the game screen when it is paused so you can only estimate where to aim. These tips combined with spam shooting to quickly hit things as they appear will help complete this. It may take a few attempts but it is manageable. There is a bug that will occur with Turbo Killer where after one attempt at it, enemies won’t appear on the next attempt but still shoot you. If this happens you will have to reload checkpoint and run back into the bar to try it again. If you missed this here, you can also do this in 7th Heaven Arcade during the Chicago on Fire chapter. |
||
Super Racer Get 1000 points in the Super Racer 4 arcade game |
||
Missable!
This can be done on the third-to-last chapter, Chicago on Fire. At the end of the Chicago Mall section of the level, you will find the 7th Heaven Arcade, inside which you will find the Super Racer 4 arcade machine. In this game you will need to collect fuel pickups, dodge other bikes and turn into the corners to avoid hitting the walls. This is heavily RNG-dependent as the spawns are completely random, so if you get a bad spawn like a bike in your way while turning there’s nothing you can do to avoid dying. The best way to do this is to increase your Horizontal Sensitivity all the way to 10.0. This will allow you to push the motorbike left and right very quickly, so you can reposition a lot easier. Stay on the middle line, only moving to pick up fuel or dodge bikes. When you get a turn, hold the opposite direction until the turn ends and hope you don’t run into a bike. This might take a few attempts but 1000 points is pretty manageable. |
||
Baller Get the basketball in the hoop |
||
Missable!
This can be done on the second chapter, Albuquerque Outskirts. After going through a trainyard, you will jump over a fence where you will get ambushed by some enemies when you move forward. In this area there will be a basketball and hoop on the walls of one of the buildings. Getting it in the hoop isn’t too difficult, just pick it up and fully charge the ball and it should go in pretty easily. If you missed this here, you can also do it in the room that Johnson is trapped in during the Buried Lab chapter. |
||
Bullseye Hit dartboard right in the center 3 times in a row |
||
Missable!
This can be done on the third chapter, The Crater. Right at the beginning of the level will be the namesake bar, inside which you will find a dart board next to the bar. In order to get a guaranteed bullseye, pick up a dart and stand directly on the throwing line, you can look down to see that your foot is on it. Then aim so that the reticle is the line below the number 20, and that the physical tip of the dart is lined up with the bullseye. Throw it at full power and it should hit the bullseye. Grab the same dart and repeat until you get 3 in a row. |
||
Heavy Lover Consume the whole ammo capacity of a heavy weapon |
||
Missable!
Starting from White Sands Facility and most levels thereafter, you will start finding heavy weapons. These are either miniguns or grenade launchers attached to a stand (which you can also remove once you upgrade your arm in this level). Miniguns will have 200 bullets and Grenade Launchers will have 30 grenades. Deplete all the ammo for one of these. You will likely do this multiple times as these weapons are very powerful and always worth using. |
||
Lock and Load Picked up all weapons |
||
Missable!
There are 17 weapons throughout the game. All of these are found directly on the story path, and while most aren’t automatic pickups, you will likely get them all naturally due to them all appearing in rooms where an objective takes place. As the game has no chapter select, you will have to collect them all in a single playthrough. The trophy can be a little glitchy in that it won’t pop upon getting the 17th Weapon, Blade’s Magnum. If it doesn’t pop as soon as you get it, progress forward until the game autosaves and then reload checkpoint. |

Morning Stretch Complete the game on Hard |
||
For the hardest difficulty, this isn’t too bad. Enemies on Hard will have 100% Health, 150% Damage and 150% Accuracy. Make sure to collect Nanite Cores (purple canisters) as you play and use these at GDF Drop Pods to purchase upgrades for your arm, and later in the game, your suit. Don’t bother getting any of the weapon upgrades as they are not worth the cost, you are better off getting more arm and suit upgrades. The magnetic shield is a very good upgrade as it allows you to block projectiles with , which is very good for bosses and harder enemies.
Abuse the Loverboy revolver for a lot of this, as the alt fire will lock on to enemies and instantly kill most regular enemies with a headshot. Try not to rush and deal with enemies before moving on. For all boss fights, spam the Microstinger rocket launcher and any heavy weapons (miniguns/grenade launchers) in the area, using your magnetic shield whenever they attack to avoid damage. |

New PR Kill a Grunt with a Barbell |
||
Missable!
The only level you can do this is on the second last level, The Phoenix Tower. As you are climbing the tower, you will eventually find a floor with gym equipment. This is the floor before the helicopter, so if you reach that you know you’ve gone too far. The grunts are the basic soldiers, and conveniently some of these will come out of the elevator next to the gym equipment when you progress towards the stairs. Pick up a barbell, look towards the elevator and be prepared to throw it at the grunts. This may take a few attempts but there’s a checkpoint right before here so it shouldn’t be a problem. |

12 missable trophies and no chapter select, sounds like a good time.

The achievements aren’t working for me anymore and have no idea why. At least not, Tin Trash Can and BONK!
