Fatherhood and Other Dreams is an Optional Honor Story Mission in Red Dead Redemption 2. This Walkthrough shows how to complete this Mission. Playing it is required for the missable

Requirements: having finished Angelo Bronte, a Man of Honor
Reward: Honor
After the mission, Angelo Bronte, a Man of Honor, we will receive another letter from Mary. It will be located in our room in Shady Belle.

Fatherhood and Other Dreams Starting Location
After reading the letter, we can meet Mary in a Hotel in Saint Denis. She asks us to help her to look for her father, which angers Arthur, because he hates him.
To actually play the mission, you do have to agree to help her!
Get on the horse and ride to the stables nearby, where Mary suspects him hanging around.

Mr. Gillis is indeed at said location and now we have to follow him through the streets and alleys to see, what he is up to.
This is quite simple – just don’t get too close.
Eventually, we can see him around a corner, selling a brooch to some guy. It was a family heirloom and Mary is pissed and confronts him. While these two argue, Arthur tries to catch up with the buyer.

A Gold Medal requirement is to take over and drive the carriage to a secluded spot within 1 minute and 45 seconds.
After jumping on the nearest horse, ride as fast as possible after the carriage. After heading over the bridge leading out of Saint Denis, the carriage will take a right turn – this is the first opportunity to come close enough to jump 
over and take control.
Once you are driving it, head to the marked spot in the middle of nowhere as fast as possible to meet the time requirement.
You can now beat the brooch out of the guy or pay for it. If you pay the full price of $ 100 right away, this will give a significant honor boost.
Once obtained, Arthur will automatically head back to Saint Denis.

Time to return the brooch to the rightful owner.
The second Gold Medal requirement is quite simple – agree to go to the Theatre with her.
You can leave early if you like – it still counts.

What was in the lockbox? I didn’t think of that,lol. Brilliant.
Opened lockbox! 2 coin sacks earrings, ring, and a naval compass!
Can’t jump to the wagon. Either Arthur gives up and sits back into the saddle or the horse throws itself under the wheels and I get thrown.
The game does not give me the option to buy back brooch from Ashton. There is no box for the otion.
