Red Dead Redemption 2 Money Lending and Other Sins I-III Walkthrough

Money Lending and Other Sins is a Story Mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 and consists of several parts. This Walkthrough shows how to complete the first part.

Money Lending and Other Sins Starting Location

The Austrian-based Loan-Shark in our gang, Leopold Strauss, wants us to collect a few overdue debts from several people.

Chick Matthews

One of our first three targets is Chick Matthews, a farm worker, located to our east.

No matter from which side you approach the farm, Matthews is always on alert and will flee on his horse, trying to outrun us. Chase him and pick the lasso by holding for the weapon wheel. Once close enough, catch and hogtie him. Laying helpless on the ground, we can easily loot him, which will reveal a location where he hides his money.

The secret spot is not far away and just across the state border, parallel to the train tracks we just chased him on. Follow the indicator on the map for the rough location of his stash. One particular tree will likely catch your eye. The hole with the money is located on its northern side. Retrieve the money and you are pretty much done.

Lilly Millet

Lilly is located quite close to our previous debtor, Chick – close to Emerald Ranch. She is sitting on a bench and will send her companion into a fistfight with you. That’s a fight he cannot win. When he is down, loot him. This will automatically alarm a witness nearby. Run after him and threaten him not to call the law.

Mr. Wróbel

Our third target is a Polish immigrant who lives west of our Horseshoe Overlook Camp. Because he doesn’t understand English very well, there is a universal language – violence. Threaten him on the ground until you can search his house for valuables. There will be a Silver Earring in the Cabinet to the left of both bedrooms and a Golden Wedding Ring in the Side Table between the two doors. Take them and the debt is repaid.

Completion

To completely finish the mission, put the debt money/valuables back in the Camps Tithing Box the next time you come around there.
