Resident Evil 4 Remake has 29 Weapons. Obtaining all Weapons unlocks the Gun Fanatic trophy & achievement. Some are found in the world, most are bought from the merchant, some are bonus weapons bought from the extra content shop. The Infinite Rocket Launcher is exclusively available in New Game Plus for 2 Million money.
Weapons are technically missable if you run out of money or Spinels or simply don’t pick them up in the world. Spinels are a special currency awarded for completing Merchant Requests.
Unlocking the Bonus Weapons is the hardest task in the game. Especially the Chicago Sweeper and Handcannon for beating Professional with an A-Rank, and beating Professional in a New Game without bonus weapons. The bonus weapons and infinite rocket launcher are needed for the Gun Fanatic trophy & achievement too, making it the hardest trophy in the game.
You can keep track of your total weapon progress in the Challenge Menu, under the “Gun Fanatic” challenge. Selling weapons after getting them once is fine. You don’t need to own all weapons at the same time, just need to have owned every weapon once at any point in the game. It counts your weapon progress across all playthroughs.

New Game+ & Bonus Weapons
#26 – Infinite Rocket Launcher
Bought in New Game+ for 2 Million ptas. You can sell your existing weapons at the first merchant, especially your upgraded weapons fetch a lot of money. If you were lucky and got the “X% off Rocket Launcher” weapon charm from shooting range you can equip that and it gives a discount for the infinite rocket launcher too.
#27 – Chicago Sweeper
Unlocked by completing the main story on Professional mode with an A rank (can be done in New Game+). Afterward you can buy it for 1000 CP in Bonus Menu.
#28 – Handcannon
There are two ways to get it. The first and easiest method is to get S-Rank on the 3 Mercenaries Mode Maps (free DLC that must be downloaded separately), you only need 1 S-Rank with one character per map. Second and harder method is to complete a NEW GAME in the main story on Professional mode without using any bonus weapons (can’t be done in New Game+, has to be a completely NEW GAME from scratch). Meaning you can’t use the Infinite Rocket Launcher or Chicago Sweeper or Primal Knife. Afterward you can buy it for 1000 CP in Bonus Menu. Doing 3 Mercenaries S-Ranks is pretty easy, if you can string together a x100 kill combo you should get S-Rank.
#29 – Primal Knife
Unlocked by finding all 16 Castellans. Afterward you can buy it for 1000 CP in Bonus Menu.

Can you sell a gun after you’ve obtained it and still get the trophy or do you have to possess all of them at once?
PowerPyx says
You can sell them. Don’t need to have them all at the same time for the trophy.
