Star Wars Jedi: Survivor contains 5 Map Upgrades. Finding these Map Upgrades will reveal all collectible locations on the map, with the exception of Jedi Chambers, Force Tears, and Fish. Obtaining the Map Upgrades will make finding collectibles a lot easier, some of which are needed as unlock requirements for other trophies.
How to Unlock the Databank Map (Force Echoes and BD-1’s Scannable Items)
- Play through the story until you reach Chapter 4 on Nova Garon.
- Make your way through the planet’s areas and you’ll eventually reach the Central Command area for a story-related cutscene with Denvik.
- In the same room as the cutscene you can find this Map Upgrade. This Map Upgrade will populate all planet maps with the location of all Databank entries: Force Echoes and BD-1’s scannable items in the environment.
How to Unlock the Treasure Map (Priorite Shards, Data Discs, Jedha Scrolls)
- Play through the story first. You won’t be able to access the areas relating to the Map Upgrade as they’re locked behind abilities that can only be obtained during the story, such as the Upgraded Ascension Cable or the Air Dash.
- After the story, fast-travel to the Anchorite Base meditation point on Jedha and open your Holomap. Hover over the central area of the Arid Flats territory and you’ll find an area called Wayfinder’s Tomb. At the top of the rock here is a locked tomb which, once open, gives you access to the Map Upgrade. The map screenshot below shows you the location of the Wayfinder’s Tomb area.
- To open the tomb, you need to complete 3 environmental puzzles where you need to redirect an orb to the top of the rock by moving and sliding wall parts. These puzzles are found in their own separate areas called Path of Restoration (west of Anchorite Base meditation point), Path of Persistence (east of Anchorite Base meditation point), and Path of Conviction (north of Anchorite Base meditation point). The map screenshots below show you the location of each puzzle area.
- With all puzzles solved and Essences collected, return to the Wayfinder’s Tomb area and now the tomb will be open. Drop down to find a BD-1 terminal you can slice for this Map Upgrade. This Map Upgrade will populate all planet maps with the location of all Treasures: Priorite Shards, Data Discs, and Jedha Scrolls.
How to Unlock the Chest Map (Chests, Stim-Cannisters, BD-1 Slice Upgrades)
- Play through the story first. You won’t be able to access the areas relating to the Map Upgrade as they’re locked behind abilities that can only be obtained during the story, such as the Upgraded Ascension Cable or the Air Dash.
- After the story, fast travel to the Mountain Ascent meditation point in the Prospector’s Folly region on Koboh and make your way back to the Foothills Falls area. From here, fly the Relter towards the platform it points to and use Pull on the metal sheets on the trapdoor found on the left side of the hut you find there (map screenshot below). Drop down and you’ll eventually access Phon’qi Caverns. The area is quite linear, although be wary of kamikaze droids and explosive puffer acid creatures. Eventually, after a boss battle against three lightsaber-wielding Bedlam Raiders, you’ll find a BD-1 terminal you can slice for this Map Upgrade. This Map Upgrade will populate all planet maps with the location of all Chests: Chests, Stim-Cannisters, and BD-1 Slice Upgrades.
How to Unlock the Essence Map (Perks, Perk Slots, Skill Points)
- Play through the story first. You won’t be able to access the areas relating to the Map Upgrade as they’re locked behind abilities that can only be obtained during the story, such as the Upgraded Ascension Cable or the Air Dash.
- After the story, you must complete all 7 Jedi Chambers and obtain their final reward. Check Star Wars Jedi: Survivor All Jedi Chamber Locations to find out exactly where you need to go. Once you’ve completed all 7 Jedi Chambers, fast travel to Alignment Control Center meditation point on Koboh (map screenshot below). This is an underground area you will have unlocked as you played through the story. Next to the Meditation Point are 7 monitors, each of which corresponding to a Jedi Chamber. Because you have completed all Jedi Chambers, all of these monitors are now green, thus unlocking the BD-1 Terminal next to the Meditation Point. You can access it with BD-1’s Slice ability. This Map Upgrade will populate all planet maps with the location of Essences: Skill Points, Perks, and Perk Slots.
How to Unlock the Flower Map (Seed Pods)
- First, you need to find and recruit Pili Walde. She can be found in the Blustery Mesa territory on Jedha. You will automatically go through this area during Chapter 4. When you reach this area, talk to her to immediately recruit her and she can be found on the Cantina’s rooftop from now on.
- Now find one sample of the 10 Flower Plants available in the game. Check Star Wars Jedi: Survivor All Plant Locations.
- Go back to the Garden and plant them all. Planting them all and waiting for each one of them to fully grow will unlock more soils and eventually the BD-1 Slice terminal that will populate Koboh with all seeds (not needed for Platinum, but it’s nice to unlock it if you want to collect everything).
That’s all there is to know on how to unlock all Collectible Locations on Maps in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. For all other collectibles refer to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Wiki.

There is another map upgrade for databanks and force echoes in Nova Garon.
FranciRoosters says
Yes, but don’t you get that as part of the story?
Martin says
Does the Path of Conviction need to be done to get all the achievements or does it just make things a lot easier if you do it?
FranciRoosters says
Doing the Path of Conviction is a necessary step to unlock the Wayfinder’s Tomb which contains a Map Upgrade which shows you the locations of all Treasures on all planets. Unlocking the Map Upgrade will make it a lot easier to track all Trasures, including and especially the Priorite Shards which are needed for the Splurgle trophy. As such, I recommend you getting it, but it’s not a strictly necessary requirement for the Platinum.
Snake2410 says
I believe you need all the perk slots and there is one locked behind completing Path of Conviction.
NeverwinterMoon says
First of all, the required upgrades – Ascension Cable and Air Dash – can be obtained well before the end of the story. I think it’s worth mentioning, as I personally dislike unnecessary cleanups after completing the entire storyline, and prefer to engage in as much side content as possible beforehand. Therefore, it is possible to obtain the map unlocks before reaching the end of the story.
Secondly, Nova Garon unlocks in Chapter 6, not Chapter 4, so I was able to acquire the Databank Map much later than the other map unlocks.
