Stellar Blade has 3 Endings: Return to the Colony, Cost of Lost Memories, Making New Memories. The two “Memories” endings are mutually exclusive, one requires reaching 100% completion of Lily’s progress bar, the other requires you not to reach 100%. The progress bar increases from collecting memory sticks & documents. It looks like this:
The only possible way of obtaining all the Endings in a single playthrough is to ignore all collectibles until the first Point of No Return which is when you finish the area called “Abyss Levoire”, and then making a PS+ Cloud save at this point. The game doesn’t support manual saves so backing up your save to the PS+ cloud is the only workaround (make sure you disable auto-sync or disconnect from internet so that it doesn’t automatically overwrite your Cloud Save). Then you’d do the ending for not getting 100% Lily progress first, then reload save from the end of Abyss Levoire area, then do all collectibles for 100% completion and replay the rest of the story again.
However, trying to do all 3 endings in a single run would ruin the game experience as you’d have to skip all side content, it would require a lot of backtracking to grab all collectibles for the 100% ending, and you’d have to replay half the story from Abyss Levoire area onward. Because the game features New Game+ trophies you’d have to do a 2nd playtrough anyway to get 100% trophies. It’s actually faster to do 2 playthroughs because you can skip cutscenes in New Game+ and you’ll be more powerful to defeat enemies faster. So the best way is to collect everything on your first run for the 100% Lily progress ending. Then just rush the story in New Game+ without doing any side content.

What Affects Endings in Stellar Blade?
During the final confrontation of the game, you will have a long dialogue with Adam which will give you 2 choices: either holding his Hand to accept his offer or to not hold his hand and refuse his offer. Refusing his offer will ALWAYS lead to “Return to the Colony” ending, while accepting his offer can lead to the other 2 endings “Cost of Lost Memories” & “Making New Memories”, depending on whether you have 100% Lily progress or not.
Where are the Points of No Return
There are two Points of No Return you should be aware of:
- 1st Point of No Return = After you finish the area called “Abyss Levoire”. A lot of content becomes unavailable after this. The entire city section of Xion becomes unavailable and all collectibles in it become unavailable. If going for all 3 endings in 1 playthrough you must keep a PS+ backup from here and redownload it, so that you can still grab all collectibles to get 100% Lily progress.
- 2nd Point of No Return = After you finish the area called “Spire 4”. Progressing past this point will lock you out of every area in the game, there’s no way back.
Ending 1: Return to the Colony
No matter what you have done in your playthrough, refusing Adam’s offer during the final confrontation of the game will ALWAYS lead to this ending. You can upload your savefile to PS+ cloud at the Supply Camp in the Nest before talking to Adam, so you can do this, then restore the save for one of the other 2 endings. This will save you one full playthrough of the game. After downloading your save from PS+ Cloud, accept his offer. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL THE COLLECTIBLES AND TROPHIES BEFORE GOING TO THE NEST SINCE YOU CAN’T GET BACK FROM THERE.
Ending 2: Making New Memories
Both remaining endings are the result of accepting Adam’s offer at the end of the game (take his hand). However, it will be decided much earlier. While collecting Memory Sticks and Documents throughout the game, you will sometimes notice that a percentage bar, with Lily’s face next to it, fills up when you pick up those collectibles. Getting this bar to 100% by collecting certain memorysticks/documents will determine the ending. After finishing Abyss Levoire area, the game will tell you to head to the Orbit Elevator, but Lily will instead tell you about her wish to visit Eidos 9 instead, since she wants to pick something up there. If you got enough collectibles and you end up in Eidos 9, you will be guaranteed to obtain the “Making New Memories” ending when accepting Adam’s offer at the end. See Stellar Blade Collectible Guide.
Below is Lily’s progress bar you sometimes see when picking up Memory Sticks/Documents. If this reaches 100% you’ll get this ending:
Ending 3: Cost of Lost Memories
This ending also requires you to accept Adam’s offer (take his hand) + Lily’s progress bar must NOT be 100%. Simply do not pick up too many memorysticks and documents, so the bar never reaches 100%. If you don’t have the bar fully filed, Lily will never ask to go to Eidos 9 and you will head to the Orbit Elevator (Spire 4) right after Abyss Levoire.
Can you get all 3 endings in one run?
Technically yes, but it’s not really worth it. You would have to:
- Ignore collecting everything on purpose
- Save your game and upload the savefile to the cloud before going to Orbit Elevator / Spire 4 (after finishing Abyss Levoire area)
- Get the Cost of Lost Memories ending
- Download your savefile again
- Get all the collectibles so you have Lily bar at 100%
- Go to Eidos 9 and finish it
- Do the Orbit Elevator / Spire 4 again
- Get to the supply camp in the nest
- Upload your savefile again
- Get Making New Memories ending
- Download your savefile from the cloud
- Get Return to the Colony ending
You might as well just do the Cost of Lost Memories ending in New Game+. Since you would have to go back to collect all the stuff anyway, you have to do the Orbit Elevator and what comes after twice no matter what and it is surely more enjoyable being able to explore at your own pace on your first run. If you want 100% trophies you’d have to do a full 2nd run in New Game+ for the DLC trophies regardless. But it is ultimately up to you if you want to do it in 1.5 playthroughs or in 2 whole playthroughs, either way it doesn’t change the time requirement by much. Doing 1st run with 100% collectibles and then 2nd run in New Game+ while skipping everything is the least complicated approach.

Would you have to do a third playthrough for all costumes since I saw some are locked behind quests?
