Introduction

Welcome to the The Crew 2 Trophy Guide! The Crew 2 is an open-world racing game. While the first game initially revolved around cars (and added more disciplines via DLC), this one comes with a lot more motorsport disciplines out of the box. Street Racing, Drift, Drag Race, Hyper Car, Rally Raid, Rally Cross, Motocross (Bikes), Aerobatics, Jetsprint (Boats), Monster Truck, Power Boat, Touring Car, Alpha GP (Formula One), Air Race (Planes). So now you get to play with cars, bikes, boats and planes all packaged with a huge open world of the United States. The trophies are all straightforward and mostly self-explanatory. They are easy and the only grind is to max out a vehicle which takes 3-4 hours. Nothing is missable. You can also play this game with friends or go at it solo. Playing in co-op makes the platinum easier because only one player needs to place in the top 3 to win the race for everyone who participates. The game is online-only, requires a constant internet connection and PlayStation Plus Subscription.

Step 1: Complete the Story, Finish all Motorsport Disciplines

Enjoy the game, beat all bosses (get 70% completion in each of the 4 disciplines). After beating the 4 bosses you unlock “The Grand Finale” which is the final story event. Along the way you will get most trophies automatically, don’t even worry about it. The game is open world and nothing is missable. After the story you can still drive around. You can pick up miscellaneous trophies along the way if you wish or do them afterwards, totally up to you. The order in which you do the trophies doesn’t really matter.

If you have a friend to play this with, it’s much easier and quicker to do everything in co-op. To win a race only one player needs to place in the top 3. Then it will win the race automatically for everyone else. You can also enjoy the entire game solo if you wish. Boss events and Live Xtreme events can only be played solo, not in a crew.

Step 2: Skill Events, 40 Photo Ops, Reaching Max Level & Epic-only Parts for one Vehicle, Reach Icon 50 Level

After clearing all main events do one of each skill type event. Refer to trophy “Virtuoso” for the list (you don’t have to do all 144 skill events, only one per type). Also do 40 of 92 Photo Ops, see trophy “Pics or it didn’t happen”.

Next you will want to work on bringing the performance of a car to the maximum for trophy “Max Out Fury Load” and equip it with epic (purple) parts in every upgrade slot for “Epic Win”. To do this you will have to grind events over and over again. For each win you get a few tuning parts that bring up your overall performance by 2-3 points. You can play events on hard to get better drops. Epic (purple) is the highest tier. Each vehicle class has 7 performance upgrade slots. Each slot must have an epic (purple) upgrade in it. If you’re already Icon Level you can buy the perk “Lucky” in the Pilot section of the pause menu. It increases the odds of epic parts dropping. I recommend grinding the drift event “Airport Terminal D” on normal difficulty for upgrades. It’s a very easy 2-minute event without opponents. After beating the target score you can wait for the timer to run out and get 2 upgrades every time.

After all of this you should be Icon Level 50 without any grinding. In total you need 580,000 followers to reach that level. I got to Icon Level 50 long before having done all other trophies. After reaching Icon Level 1 it only takes a few hundred to a few thousand followers per level. Level 50 isn’t much at all, it goes up to Level 9990. If you are still a few levels short replay races on hard difficulty or do loopings with the plane in the air.

After this you should have platinum. If you’re still missing a miscellaneous trophy you can finish it up any time.

Pics or it didn’t happen
Complete 40 Photo Ops.

There are a total of 92 Photo Ops in The Crew 2. For the trophy you only need 40. I picked the easiest 40 for this video. Nothing is missable, they can still be done after the story.

You can activate them in the Pause Menu > Activities > Select a race type (each class has their own photos) > Photo Album. Then go to the location in the video.

In the top left corner of the screen it will show the requirements for the photo. When you are in the correct place the text will get a white background. Then press :triangle: to open photo made. You can use :left: to rewind. For example, some photos require you to do stunts. You can complete the stunt and trigger photo mode and rewind. You can also change the time of day and weather in photo mode. If it requires you to take a photo in the rain at night you can simply adjust those settings in photo mode. For photos that require pictures of specific cars you can simply test drive them for free.

Coast to Coast
Complete the New York Hypercar event.
The New York Hypercar Event is part of the Street Racing Branch (Yellow Map Icons). You must gain Star popularity (107,000 followers) and buy a Hypercar to unlock it. The event starts in New York, it’s marked on the map as “New York Hypercar”. It takes you from New York to Los Angeles. It’s roughly a 40-minute drive. You must place in the top 3 to “complete” the event.

The streets during this race have no signposts. Press  to open the map in the HUD. You will constantly have to keep an eye on the map to figure out the path. Stay on the road, don’t try any offroad paths. Because you are driving at high speeds it can be easy to crash into things or miss an exit, the map is your friend.

It’s much easier to do this with other players in a crew (co-op session). Only one player needs to place in the top 3. Then it unlocks the trophy for all other participants automatically! So if you have a lot of trouble with this race, play in a group of 4 and hope for someone else to win the event for you.

First Autograph
Earn enough followers to reach Popular level.
Reach 18,000 Followers (the game’s version of XP). You get Followers by winning races and performing stunts in freeplay.
Press Conference
Earn enough followers to reach Famous level.
Reach 55,500 Followers (the game’s version of XP). You get Followers by winning races and performing stunts in freeplay.
Rising Star
Earn enough followers to reach Star level
Reach 107,000 Followers (the game’s version of XP). You get Followers by winning races and performing stunts in freeplay.
The Man, The Myth, The Legend
Earn enough followers to reach Icon level.
Reach 178,000 Followers (the game’s version of XP). You get Followers by winning races and performing stunts in freeplay.
Are you a God? (Say yes)
Earn enough followers to reach Icon 50 level.
Reach 580,000 Followers (the game’s version of XP). You get Followers by winning races and performing stunts in freeplay.

Level 50 isn’t much at all (it goes up to Level 9990). You will almost certainly get this just by doing all other trophies without any grinding. It’s calculated so that maxing out a car, completing the story (do every race), doing skill events and the 40 photo ops will bring you roughly to Icon Level 50. If you are still a few levels short you can replay races on hard difficulty or fly loopings with an airplane in freeplay.

Don’t worry about this too much, just focus on the other trophies and you’ll most likely get to Level 50 along the way. Each Icon Level also gives a perk point which can be spent in in the Pilot section of the Pause menu.

Paint Don’t Hurt
Change the color of one vehicle in your home.
From the world map select your home in Miami (red house icon on map). Here you can walk around and see your parked vehicles. Go up to a vehicle and press :square: to customize. Select COLOR and pick a new color of your choice. Press :x: to apply it.

This costs 1000 Credits.

The Collector
Own 30 different vehicles.
Amass a total of 30 vehicles across all motorsport disciplines (cars, bikes, monster trucks, boats, planes, formula one). You can buy the cheapest ones if you want. After beating a boss you will unlock a free vehicle in the headquarters of the respective motorsport discipline. You also get a few free vehicles from some races along the way.

If you played The Crew 1, check out The Crew 2 Rewards Program to get up to 19 vehicles for free (they count towards the trophy).

Jack of all trades
Complete one Event in each discipline (Main Game).
You must complete on race (not skill event) in each discipline / car class. First you must buy a vehicle in each class to make events for it available.

There are the following event disciplines (vehicle types):

  1. Street Race
  2. Drift
  3. Drag Race
  4. Hypercar
  5. Rally Raid
  6. Motocross
  7. Rally Cross
  8. Aerobatics
  9. Jetsprint
  10. Monster Truck
  11. Powerboat
  12. Touring Car
  13. Air Race
  14. Alpha Grand Prix

You can easily keep track of this in the Activites Section of the Pause Menu.

Pause Menu (Options-Button) > Activities > Select a class > select the discipline > press :x: to start the event.

Virtuoso
Complete each skill type in each family (Main Game).
For this trophy you only need to complete 1 skill event of each type (not all 144 skill events).

You can select them in the Pause Menu (Options-Button) > Activities > choose family > Skills.

Street Racing:

  • Escape
  • Speedtrap

Offroad:

  • Slalom
  • Escape

Freestyle:

  • Low Altitude
  • Aerobatics
  • Buoy Smashing

Pro Racing:

  • Slalom (Water): Play 1st event “Miami Harbor” from activities list.
  • Slalom (Land): Play the 3rd event “Golden Hills Desert” from activities list.
  • Escape

In the Pro Racing section be sure to play the first 3 events from the activities list, they are “Miami Harbor”, “Space Industries”, “Golden Hills Desert”. This is because one slalom is on water, the other on land. The game counts them separately, both are needed for the trophy.

I Must Break You
Beat a friend’s highlight (best score of a friend).
As your friends drive/fly around the open world (freeplay only!) the game will create “highscores” on random things, such as Air Speed for flying faster in a plane than your friend’s score.

You can check for these on the map:

  • Press Touchpad to open world map > :square: to filter > :right: > Highlights > Friends. Here you can filter to make only these icons show up on the map (green star icons). Select any of these and beat them.

Be sure you actually beat the score. Personally, I had to beat around 20-30 friends scores before this trophy finally popped. It was likely a server problem at the time, a friend of mine go it first try. If it doesn’t unlock after beating a few highlights, try again at a later time.

Your best bet is to add a lot of other The Crew 2 players. For example, in freeplay you can go to Pause Menu > Roster > Session and add random players who are on the same server. You can also use the comment section below the trophy guide to leave your ID for others to add you.

Hard way to Hell
Complete an event on hard difficulty.
You must have beaten an event to play it on hard difficulty.

After beating the desired event, select it on the world map (press :x: on it) > press  x2 to select CHANGE DIFFICULTY. Now it will jump to Hard difficulty.

The easiest type of event to win on hard is Aerobatics. Pick the one with the lowest performance requirement. You only need 3,500 Aerobatics points which is easy to do even with a largely underleveled plane.

Hard difficulty gives better rewards than normal difficulty. You get better tuning upgrades if you win the race on hard.

Social Butterfly
Complete an event while in a crew.
Invite a Friend or someone in the Session to your crew. To do this, press the Options-Button > Roster > Select someone on the list (Friend / Session).

Now teleport to the start of any event. When you drive into the event start it will send out an invite to everyone else in your crew. Have them accept the invite to join you in the race, then complete it. Every crew member will get the trophy, regardless of your placement in the race (still unlocks if you come in on last place).

Easy Rider
Earn 500 Followers in one Freestyle sequence (Freedrive).

You can very easily earn this by doing 4 loopings in a row with a plane (open world only). It doesn’t work in races, has to be open world. Each looping gives 150 followers.

Reality Check
You’ve spent 24 whole hours in our virtual world. We thought you should know.
Spend a total of 24 hours (real time) playing The Crew 2. Keep in mind you can’t just leave the game idle as it will kick you out after a while. This will come automatically on the way to platinum anyway, don’t even worry about it for a second. However, if you want to do a cheap tactic you can rubberband your left stick and :r2: to drive in circles or just keep the game running and press a button every 15 minutes or so.
Leap of Faith, No Straw
Do a 100 meter jump on a bike.

An easy spot for this is the ski-jumping hill between Salt Lake City and the Salt Lake Resort. The location is named on the map as “Ski Jump”. See the location in the video. The “Ski Jump Rally Cross” Race is also there. Pick any motorcycle and go there in open world freeplay. Drive down the ski-jump-hill to do jump of 100 meters (110 yards). This works with any motorcycle, it’s a very easy jump to do.

Drift Like a Tester
Score 100.000 PTS or more in any drift event.

First you need a drift car. I recommend the Mazda RX7. You can score 100,000 points with the stock settings, upgrades aren’t needed but they help.

The easiest track for this is Airport Terminal D. The event lasts 2 minutes. You have to clear it in 1 or 2 continuous drifts. Don’t crash into anything as it will void your multiplier. When the road goes straight you must drift left and right just enough so the drift doesn’t end. When the car isn’t drifting the multiplier starts flashing. If you aren’t drifting for a second you will lose your multiplier. It takes a bit of practice to get to know the track and figure out when to accelerate and how to take each turn. Nitrous can also be helpful here. If you get too close to the guardrail in a drift, you can use nitrous to push back towards the track. Nitrous also makes you drift through turns faster so you get more points.

It’s all about holding your drift for long so you can hit the x50 maximum multiplier. Then the points come rolling in super fast. If you can do the entire event in only 2 continuous drifts you will get above the 100,000 score.

Act Like a Game Designer
Redo the same event at least 3 times in a row.
At the end of any event press :triangle: after crossing the finish line to repeat it immediately. You must play the race 4 times (beat it once + repeat it 3 times). The early game events are really short and quick to do. You don’t necessarily have to win the race, just play through it until the end and then press :triangle: .

Hitting “Retry” or “Abort” at the start of the match does not count for this. Finishing the event normally and driving back to the finish line does not count. It only unlocks the trophy when you press :triangle: immediately at the end of the race to restart it.

Act Like an Art Director
Take a picture outside of any Photo Quest just for fun, because it looks good.
While driving in the open world you can shoot a photo with :triangle: > :x: (PHOTO MODE) > :x: (SNAPSHOT). This unlocks the trophy right away.
The End is Nigh
Go to the far edge of the world

While in the open world, take a boat or plane to the end of the oceans of the map. You can press the Options-Button (Menu-Button on Xbox One) to switch to a plane in the open world. Just keep flying to the edge of the map until the trophy pops.

Ride the Jewels
Drive more than 2 km in a row with the most expensive car (Main Game).

The most expensive car is the Koenigsegg Regera worth 1,701,700 Credits. You can get this trophy via test drive (you don’t have to buy the car). This can be done right at the start of the game, after having unlocked the Street Race HQ.

  1. Press the Options-Button
  2. Go to Catalog > Koenigsegg > Select Regera > Go to HQ
  3. Press :square: to test drive

There’s a timer during test drives. If you can’t hit the 2km in a single test drive you can do another test drive and it will add towards the 2km total. You don’t have to drive the 2km in one test drive! For example, if you do 1km in first test drive and then another 1km in second test drive the trophy will pop.

Max Out Fury Load
Reach Max Level for one of your vehicles (Main Game).
The most grindy trophy in the game. When you go to the Pause Menu (Options-Button) > Vehicles, you can see the maximum performance for each vehicle class (for example drift cars have a maximum of 240 performance). To unlock the trophy all 7 tuning parts in your vehicle must have the maximum performance value (so with the drift car, you need all 7 tuning parts at level 240 each).

I maxed out a drift car in 3 hours by farming the drift event “Airport Terminal D” on normal difficulty. The event is fixed at 2 minutes but you can beat the target score in the first 30 seconds and stand around until time runs out. It gives you two random item drops each time. Quickly pick up the drops and hold :triangle: to immediately restart the event. Rinse and repeat. You always get 2 drops per win and it’s entirely random for what tuning category. Due to the randomness some parts will drop more often than others. The goods news is they are always a higher level than the previous drop, except at the end. Once you get to the 235/240 range, the drops are not guaranteed to be 240 first try. At the end some of my drops were level 232 even though my car already had higher performance.  Up until the last 5 points I always received parts that had a higher level than my car’s. The last 5 points took an hour to get. You need to get lucky to get the right part and also for it to be level 240 (roughly a 25% chance at max level drop).

The good thing about the drift event is that it’s very short and you don’t have to drive against AI opponents. Once you’ve reached the score requirement there’s no need to keep driving, even if you get 10 times more points it won’t give you better drops. Plus you probably need a few tries for “Drift Like a Tester” anyway.

This trophy goes hand in hand with “Epic Win” for having an epic (purple) upgrade part in all 7 categories. If you are already icon level, be sure to equip the perk “Lucky” for better drops (Pause Menu > Pilot > Icon PTS).

BFF
Drive 50 km in a row in a crew.
Invite a Friend or someone in the Session to your crew. To do this, press the Options-Button > Roster > Select someone on the list (Friend / Session).

Fastest way to do 50km is with a plane. You don’t actually have to “drive” as the trophy description states. Flying also counts, I got this in a plane within a few minutes.

To view your total distance driven, press Options-Button :opt: > Pilot > Social > Max Distance in Crew in 1 Session. You have to reach 50km (31 miles) in a single session.

It only works when you drive/fly the 50km yourself. It does NOT add up the distance of all players, only how far you have driven yourself. The trophy unlocks for each player individually when they have done the 50km. With a plane it’s super quick to do.

Act like a Narrative Designer
Unlock all the pieces and watch a full narrative reward.
There are 8 narrative pieces per motorsport discipline (4 disciplines total: Street Racing, Offroad, Freestyle, Pro Racing). The narrative pieces are automatic story cutscenes from playing the story races. In other words, just complete all races of one of the 4 motorsport disciplines and you will get the 8 pieces.

To view how many narrative pieces you have: Press Options-Button > Pilot > Narrative.

After getting the first 7 pieces you must view the 8th piece in the Narrative menu. Then the trophy unlocks.

Ghost Bustin’ 2
Beat a rival or a friend’s ghost.
You can do this by inviting a friend to your crew (Options-Button > Roster > Select someone from friends list). Then zoom halfway in on the map to see triangle-shaped icons. My friend and I picked the yellow (Street Race) icon “Temecula Wineries Speedtrap” in Orange County, just south of Los Angeles. Have one player complete the event very slowly so it’s easy for the other player to beat it. For the 2nd player you can repeat the same with another easy event so they can get the trophy too.
Binge Watching
Complete the full season of the Live Xtrem Series.
To unlock all season events of the Live Xtrem Series you must reach Icon 1 Level (178,000 Followers) and beat all 4 bosses (get 70% completion in each discipline to challenge the boss).

There are 6 events to the Xtrem Series in total, you must complete them all:

  1. The intro race, first race in the game and unmissable.
  2. Popular Level (18,000 Followers)
  3. Famous Level (55,500 Followers)
  4. Star Level (107,000 Followers)
  5. Icon 1 Level (178,000 Followers)
  6. The Grand Finale: Beat all 4 bosses to unlock it (get 70% completion in Street Racing, Offroad, Freestyle, Pro Racing to challenge the boss in each category)

You can view these events in the pause menu by pressing Options-Button > Activities > Live Extrem Series. Here you can select those events once you have gained enough followers. To get more followers simply win other events.

Epic Win
Upgrade your vehicle with epic parts only.
This trophy goes perfectly together with “Max Out Fury Load” for maxing out one vehicle. You should work on both of them simultaneously for best results.

There are 3 rarity levels for upgrades: common (green), rare (blue), epic (purple). Every vehicle has 7 upgrades. For this trophy you must have an epic (purple) part in all 7 upgrade slots.

To check your upgrades go to the Pause Menu (Options-Button) > Vehicles > Performance. Racing events always give you at least 2 drops for your active vehicle (e.g. drift events always drop upgrades for drift cars).

Roughly 1 in 10 drops should be epic.

The good thing about the drift event is that it’s very short and you don’t have to drive against AI opponents. Once you’ve reached the score requirement there’s no need to keep driving, even if you get 10 times more points it won’t give you better drops.

Once you reach Icon Level be sure to buy the perk “Lucky”, it increases the odds of getting epic drops (Pause Menu > Pilot > Icon PTS). You also get a free epic part every 10 icon levels (Pause Menu > Pilot > Timeline).

Hey, Pyx. I’m really happy that you will be doing Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Guide, I thought you weren’t going to. From Software is one of my favorite game studios of all time.

I wish you’d do Code Vein as well, I’m excited for that game.

I got to Icon Level 50 today and did the longest race (New York Hypercar race).

Level 50 isn’t much at all, it goes up to Level 9990. I got there before I was done with the story. You will almost certainly get to this level by just doing all other trophies and maxing out a car. So just enjoy the game 🙂

I’m upping the trophy difficulty from 2.5/10 to 4/10 because of the New York Hypercar race. It took 40 minutes and you really have to concentrate all the way. The track for this is horrible, you always have to keep an eye on the map while driving 400 km/h. The good news is only one person in your crew has to place in the top 3 then everyone who participated in the race will get the trophy (even if you don’t make it to the finish line). So if you do it solo it’s a 4/10, if someone wins it for you it’s easier.

Playing the game with others makes it much easier because only one player needs to place in top 3 and it will win the race for everyone.

Just got the platinum. Trophy Guide is now complete!

Nice game for a trophy hunt. Maxing out a car was the only grindy part, took me 3 hours of replaying the same drift event. Icon Level 50 came automatically.

Yeah, the platinum trophy seems a lot easier and less grindy then The Crew platinum trophy. The first one was ridiculous and I never even attempted to get it because I didn’t want to go insane.

This one seems a lot easier and take way less time as well.

Hi. Just to let you know that the requirements to reach the four bosses are now 50% rather than 70%, thanks to the new updates adding more events. It still takes the same number of events to reach the boss but there are now more events to pick from.

Hey PowerPyx. I just completed The Crew 2 on Xbox One. I used your guide for the majority of the achievements. I just wanted to alert you to a couple of things. The bosses of each discipline are now unlocked at 50% progression, not 70%. I assume this was changed in a patch. Also, the achievement/trophy for getting a car to max level is by far the longest in the game. For me it took 6 hours of grinding races to get the hyper car I was using to max level.
