Introduction
Welcome to the The Persistence PSVR Trophy Guide! The Persistence is a VR first-person shooter, survival horror and stealth game and plays in space on board “The Persistence”. The game is made up of 4 levels with 4 main objectives. The “stages” are always completely randomized, so it’s not possible to make an actual collectible guide for the game, however this trophy guide will show you everything you need to now in order to obtain all the trophies! It should also be mentioned that the game only saves once a stage has been completed. Dying during the stage will result in you having to do that stage all over again, even if you were at the very end of it.
Step 1: Play through the game once
Pretty straightforward. Simply play through the game and start to get a feeling for it. It’s advised to search all the rooms of a stage to get as many of the 6 crew member artefacts as possible.
Step 2: Continue and grind
Continue your current campaign game and start grinding epic schematics, supply drops and stem cells in order to max out the DNA stats and purchasing 1 epic schematic per category.

Super Happy Ending Save both Serena and Zimri |
||
After retrieving the Captain’s body on the Engineering Deck you’ll return to the Recovery area and you then proceed to imprint either Serena’s or Zimiri’s consciousness into the flight computer. Once this is done, you get the optional goal to upload the consciousness of the person you didn’t pick in order to save both, however to do that you have to get through 3 rooms filled with an infinite amount of enemies. If you die while attempting this, the game will end with only one of them surviving and you won’t get the trophy.
Do not worry if you failed to get this on your first try, since you can simply continue the campaign from the main menu and it will put you right on the Recovery deck before you start the imprinting. You just have to get through the rooms, killing enemies is not mandatory for this. So you can attempt to just teleport your way through those sections. Be careful however, as you can easily get caught up on an enemy while doing this. Once you have made it through all the arenas, you have to interact with the console at the end of the final room. This will instantly end the game and the trophy will be yours.
EDIT: It appears that the layout of the final combat sequence can be randomised as well. There is a chance that the doors will be locked and that you’ll be forced to fight against a limited amount of enemies in order to gain access to the next area. Generally speaking it’d still recommend that you just try to rush through the room, however be warned that there is a chance that the doors might be locked and that you quickly have to change your play style to a more offensive one. |
||
Treasure Hunter Open 25 supply crates |
||
One supply crate can be found on every stage and there are 3 types of challenges you have to complete to unlock them.
PuzzleFor this type of challenge you have to hack 4 terminals in a certain order to restore the pressure to the area. You will constantly lose health while doing this. These are the toughest ones and you should probably avoid them, as the other 2 are a lot easier. MovementFor this you have to get through a long corridor in a decompressed environment without dying. Once you are at the other side, you have to interact with a terminal in order to open the doors again. Simply use your teleport to get through this as quickly as possible. These “movement challenges” are by far the easiest. BattleThe supply crate will be located in a room shaped like a square and you will have to survive against a wave of 10-20 enemies that will try to kill you. In stage 4 you will also constantly lose health after you killed about 50% of the enemies, so make sure not to stall the fight in any way. Just get it over with as quickly as possible and the crate will be yours. Here is an image of a “battle challenge”. |

First of Many Make any schematic |
||
Please refer to “Everything is Awesome!” for this trophy.
Epic! Make an epic schematic |
||
Please refer to “Everything is Awesome!” for this trophy.
Everything is Awesome! Make an Epic of each suit, teleporter, shield, harvester and supersense |
||
Schematic are small transparent cubes that some enemies randomly drop or that you can find inside supply drops. The rarities for them are: common (white), uncommon(green), rare (purple) and epic (yellow). You should be wearing a suit from the “Loot” category in order to improve your loot drop rate and quality. Unfortunately, you can get several epic schematics per category, so it could happen that you get epics for the same category while you are still missing one in a different one.
It’s recommended that you grind the supply crates on stage 3 or 4, as the loot quality is generally better. Simply enter the stage, get the crate, exit it through one of the 2 portals and come right back for the crate again. The categories needed for this trophy are:
So you’ll have to collect a total of 10 different epic schematics and make one of each type. Epic schematics will cost you 15.000 fabrication points each, so you’ll have to amass a total of 150.000 points for this trophy. |
||
Payback Time Unlock a weapon |
||
Please refer to “Full Arsenal” for this trophy.
Full Arsenal Unlock all weapons |
||
To unlock a weapon you have to find an Erebus token and use it in one of the 5 weapon shops (fabricators). The token looks like a small yellow triangle and there are usually between 5-10 scattered around the stage. Here is a list of all the fabricators and their respective weapons:
Experimental Fabricator (purple):
Firearm Fabricator (light blue):
Grenade Fabricator (yellow):
Melee Fabricator (red):
|
||
Lock and Load Upgrade a weapon |
||
Please refer to “As Good as it Gets” for this trophy.
As Good as it Gets Get any weapon to Max level |
||
Spend enough Erebus tokens on one weapon to fully upgrade it. This will cost you around 10-12 tokens. I’d recommend upgrading the Peacekeeper or Lance and the Riot Baton from the melee fabricator first. By the end of your grind for epic schematics and looting enough lockers for a hidden siren grenade, you will most likely have more than 10 weapons fully upgraded.
Feeling Good Upgrade any DNA stat |
||
Please refer to “Feeling Unstoppable” for this trophy.
Feeling Great Upgrade each DNA stat at least once |
||
Please refer to “Feeling Unstoppable” for this trophy.
Feeling Unstoppable Get all DNA stats to max |
||
You will need a lot of stemcells in order to upgrade all 4 stats. There is no good farming method for this other than using a suit from the loot section and searching all the rooms. I’d recommend farming this in stage 3 or 4 and harvesting stemcells from the Berserkers, as they can easily give you 1500-2000.
Samurai Kill 100 enemies by harvesting their stemcells |
||
Simply kill 100 enemies by getting behind them and harvesting their stemcells. You do not have to sneak up on them, simply teleporting behind them mid-fight and then harvesting their stemcells will work perfectly fine. You have to press to use your harvester.
Six Shooter Shoot and kill 6 enemies in a row, with just 6 bullets |
||
You will have a Valkyrie with infinite ammo at the end of stage 2, as you have to use it to pin infected enemies to the portals around the final area. Simply kill 6 enemies with 6 bolts. If you do not complete the objective the enemies will spawn infinitely as well, making it the perfect spot to get this trophy. Alternatively, use the Stormfury (revolver) to shoot and kill 6 enemies in stage 1 without missing.
Sharp Shooter 10 headshots in a row |
||
You do not have to kill 10 enemies with headshots in a row, simply shooting any number of enemies in the head 10 times in a row without missing a shot will unlock this trophy (can shoot the same enemy multiple times). Bring up your map from stage 2 onwards and have a look around for a bloodhound (red icon). They have significantly more health and you can easily shoot them in the head 10 times with “The Sentinel” or “The Needle”. If you are having problems with this for some reason, you can always use a time warp to complete freeze an enemy into position, to make this even easier, although it’s really not necessary to do so.
A Bundle of Limbs Kill 3 enemies with the same gravity bomb |
||
Simply kill 3 enemies with 1 gravity bomb. The gravity bomb has a massive blast radius, making this a fairly easy task. Just make sure you find 3 standard enemies either by sprinting through multiple rooms and forming a group of pursuers behind you or do it during one of the game’s “boss fights”.
Thanks, Guys! Kill 5 enemies with the same Swarm Droid |
||
Use the same tactic as you did for “A bundle of Limbs” in stage 1. Once you have amassed 5-6 enemies, throw a swarm grenade on the ground and keep teleporting in a circle around the enemies/ blocking their attacks. You should, however, get a rare or epic suit from the weapon subclass in order to boost your damage output. Otherwise the swarm grenade might not be able to take out all 5 enemies in 30 seconds.
That’s Gotta Hurt Smash an enemy to death with the Gravimetric Hook |
||
Pick up an enemy with the Gravimetric Hook and smash him into a wall. This trophy might as well be rephrased to: “Get a kill with the Gravimetric Hook”.
Abrakebabra! Pin two enemies with the same Valkyrie bolt |
||
Refer to “Six Shooter” for the perfect spot to get this trophy. Simply line up 2 enemies and kill them with a single bolt.
Stealth is for Wimps Melee kill a Berserker with the Stem Cell Harvester |
||
The Berserker is the 7-8 feet tall golem-like enemy. Weaken him by harvesting his stemcells twice, by simply teleporting behind him and spamming and then hit him with a couple melee hits . You can also use the Time Warp to freeze the Berserker in place, but again it’s not really necessary to do so.
Who’s a Good Boy! Have a single Ivy Serum buddy kill 5 enemies |
||
Get yourself an Ivy Serum from the melee fabricator and use it on any enemy. The enemy will now fight alongside you. Through upgrades you can get the health of the turned enemy up to 200 hit points, but it’s not needed. I recommend turning a Reaper (very fast enemy holding 2 screwdrivers), since it’s very fast and deals a lot of damage, sometimes even instantly killing Berserkers.
Shields Up! Power up any Debris Defence Shield machine |
||
Please refer to “Fully Fortified” for this trophy.
Shields at Maximum Power up all the Debris Defence Shield machines |
||
Please refer to “Fully Fortified” for this trophy.
Fully Fortified Use all 4 Debris Defence Shield machines on the same life |
||
The debris defence shield machines buff your shield by few hit points and you have to use all of these machines in one life, i.e. visiting all 4 stages without dying. The generators are marked on your map and there is only 1 per stage. You have to turn them on first by interacting with the console next to it first and then killing all the enemies that spawn in. This is not required for this trophy, you only have to use all the machines in one life, not turn them on. The DDS generators are also marked on your map.
A Lost Friend Find a crew member artefact |
||
Please refer to “All the Crew” for this trophy.
A Lost Family Find all 6 crew member artefacts |
||
Please refer to “All the Crew” for this trophy.
Not Feeling Myself… Print a clone of any other crew member |
||
Please refer to “All the Crew” for this trophy.
All the Crew Print a clone of all 7 crew members |
||
Crew member artefcats are personal memorabilia like a hat or a trophy that you have to find before you can extract the DNA of a fallen crew member. Once you enter a room with a dead crew member in it, you’ll see a green objective marker above the artefact. Look at the marker and then extract the DNA from the body with the harvester. This will also unlock the respective crew member as a clone for you to play.
You need to collect 6 crew members on your own, the 7th (the captain) will be automatically unlocked in chapter 4 as an objective. Since the stages are completely randomized, there is no way to actually make a guide for it, you’ll just have to find the room yourself. The only thing I can tell you is that there always is a room with a crew member if you haven’t collected all of them yet, so just make sure to search all the rooms of a stage |
||
Full House Kill one of each type of enemy |
||
There are a total of 6 enemy types in the game. Here is a list of all of them:
|
||
The Ship is Your Friend Use the environment to kill 10 enemies |
||
The easiest way to get this is to blow up the red barrels in the DDS generator room. You can also get this by luring the enemies onto the exposed electrical panels on the floor. I’d not recommend this however as you’d have to weaken the enemy beforehand. Just head over the DDS generator room and get 2-4 kills with the barrels here and then teleport to a different stage and repeat the process.
Big Bad Buddy Rage Berserkers to kill 10 enemies |
||
The Bererkers get enraged after you shoot them, evident by their hands suddenly starting to burn. When enraged, they attack their own allies if they can not reach you. In order to speed things up, gather a few enemies, enrage the Berserker and teleport onto a high spot and watch the Berserker kill the other enemies. Alternatively, you can also use Invisibility but it’d recommend not spending any fabrication points and just using the teleport method mentioned above.
Thank You! Get a weeper to kill another mutant (without using Ivy Serum) |
||
The weeper can shoot beams at you that take away about half of your health. Get a normal enemy and enrage a weeper by standing in front of them, then simply get behind the regular enemy so it will get hit with the beam instead. If hit by this, the enemy will die instantly.
Wrong Place, Wrong Time Kill any enemy with a hidden Siren Grenade |
||
For this you to find a hidden siren grenade in one of the lockers and kill an enemy with it. This is completely random and very frustrating to pull off. However, there is an exploit to make this a lot easier: simply find a siren grenade in one of the lockers, remember the exact spot and then exit the game. Now continue the stage and it will spawn you at the start of the same stage that has the locker with the siren grenade in it. Now lure an enemy in front of the locker, open it and kill the enemy with it.
Keep Your Distance, Buddy Use your shield 10 times against the same enemy |
||
Simply use the shield against 10 enemies. I’d recommend doing this on the very first enemy in the game, as your shield won’t deplete in the prologue mission.
Boom! Get fireballs to kill a total of 10 mutants |
||
Fireballs are the invisible enemies that blow themselves up. Simply get near them so they blow themselves up and try to get other enemies caught up in the blast. They usually spawn during the battle sections of the game. If you still didn’t get this by the end of the campaign, you can just repeat the supply crate “battle challenges”.
Teleport Technician Visit Research and then Stardrive decks on any one life, without walking |
||
Research is the first stage in the game and Stardrive the second. After you completed both stages, you can go back to Recovery and then teleport to Research again. From here you have to use your teleport ability in order to get to the Stardrive teleporter. This is pretty easy as you just have to wait for it to recharge.
Nah, I’m Good. Visit all 4 Decks on any 1 life, without collecting anything or making a weapon |
||
Simply teleport from deck 1-4 without picking anything up. Run past all the enemies and don’t engage in any fights. A very easy trophy. |

Will you do the guide for We happy few?
Jeanmi96 says
Yes, I’m currently working on it. I’ll post the guide as work in progress as soon as I can.
Adam says
For Super Happy Ending I had to fight a limited number of enemies per room. I could not just teleport to the door and leave, it stayed locked until everyone was dead. This must be one of many randomizations in the game. Thanks for the guide! It was a big help.
Jeanmi96 says
Oh ok, that’s weird. I had an unlimited amount of enemies both times and the doors were open straight away. It was just a matter of pushing through the enemies as best as I could. But thanks for letting me know, I’ll add it to the guide.
Glad the guide was helpful to you! :D

Thanks for your great page here explaining the persistence..
sorry if you said allready (im a skim reader) but do you know what the signifcance is of those data panels in the large rooms? You can change the color red/green/blue..does it do anything if you put them all one color or perhaps it doesnt mean anything.?????.
Cant find any info anywhere about this…
Michel says
Yeah, I was wondering the exact same thing.
Michel says
Great guide, thanks a lot.
Mike says
Teleport technician I went from recovery to research and Teleported all the way to stardrive and it didn’t pop
Tobias says
Either you already have it because you got it by accident or a small tip from me: Don’t touch your walking controls. Like don’t even think about using them. Even tapping them a bit is recognized by the game as “walking”. I don’t know if it counts if an enemy pushes you via an attack, so avoid them as well.
MARIO_JFK says
Yo, The description os not clear, but you cannot walk on The bridge neither. As soon as you spawn, it’s on! Only Teleport, never walk.
