Introduction
Welcome to the The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone Trophy Guide! With an unexpected alliance, the blue pixie Smurfs are back in this new 3D action-adventure platformer. Drawing inspiration from other classics of the genre like Ratchet & Clank, the game features a new combat system, improved traversal, and a slew of demanding challenges. For Platinum, you need to 100% complete the game. That means completing all levels and decrystalize them, find and rank Gold on all challenges, unlock all crystal improvements for all playable Smurfs, and obtain all crystal improvements for all SmurfoMix Substances. Additionally, you have a few Smurf-specific miscellaneous trophies to unlock and gather a cumulative total of 1 million essence of nothingness. You can play the game on Story difficulty provided you change it to Challenge before facing the final boss.
Step 1: Complete the Story on Story Difficulty and Decrystalize As Much As Possible, Switch to Challenge Difficulty Before Facing Stolas at the End of the Game
For Step 1, play through and enjoy the story. As you play through each level, destroy as many crystals as possible and try to score Gold on the challenges you find. Don’t worry too much if you don’t rank Gold on your first attempt. Some challenges will get significantly easier once you buy more SmurfoMix and Smurf upgrades. When you reach the Astral Nothingness level after Volcanic Panic in the Land of Fire world, don’t forget to change the game’s difficulty to Challenge for And his name is Zosimos…
Step 2: Clean Up Levels and Challenges
Once you’ve finished the story, change the difficulty back to Story and press and replay those levels that you haven’t completely decrystalized as well as those challenges you haven’t scored Gold rank yet. By this point in the game, you will have a lot of SmurfoMix and Smurf upgrades in your arsenal to considerably lower the difficulty of some challenges.
Step 3: Unlock Remaining SmurfoMix and Smurf Upgrades, Smurf-Specific, Combat, and Miscellaneous Trophies, Collect 1 Million Essence of Nothingness
For your third and final Step, all you have to do is finish unlocking remaining SmurfoMix and Smurf upgrades, unlock any Smurf-specific trophies you may have left. As you work your way to the remaining trophies, you will naturally reach 1 million Essence of Nothingness. Congrats on your new shiny Platinum trophy!

A study in scarlet Find all the replayable challenges |
||
The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone contains 18 repayable challenges, with a total of 6 for each world. For this trophy to unlock, you just simply have to find the location of all challenges. These are often found on the main path and when you’re near one, your Smurf will say something like “I can sense a challenge in the area”. For undiscovered challenges, the game gives you a clue as to their general location in the Challenges section of the pause menu.
Please note that you won’t be able to find all challenges on your first run through the levels as there are three additional ones that spawn only after completing the story. For each world, the three additional ones are on the boss arenas and are a rematch against the boss of that world. |

Eye of the Lynx Hit a weak spot from more than 80 m when playing Storm |
||
This trophy can only be unlocked while playing as Storm. It is highly recommended to leave this trophy after having bought all upgrade for Storm’s Signature Ability and to set the game’s difficulty to Story. Please also note that this trophy won’t unlock if you kill an enemy but don’t hit its weak spot. You must hit its weak spot for this to work.
If you’re struggling with this trophy, start the Magma’Tics challenge from The Land of Fire world. When you start the challenge, kill some enemies to charge your Signature Ability. Then, head to the CrystoToads that you find on the upper corner of the arena and kill it. Then from its location, cast an arrow at the mouth of the one at the diagonally opposite corner of the arena. Because you’re playing on Story and you’ve completely maxed out Storm, the CrystoToad will go down in one hit and you will unlock this trophy. |
||
Carrot cake Gather at least 10 CrystoBeasts in the same place when playing Dimwitty |
||
This trophy can only be unlocked while playing as Dimwitty. It is highly recommended to leave this trophy after having bought all upgrade for Dimwitty’s Signature Ability and to set the game’s difficulty to Challenge.
If you’re struggling with this trophy, start the Magma’Tics challenge from The Land of Fire world. When you start the challenge, kill the first wave of 10 enemies to charge up your Signature Ability. Then, when the second wave starts, head to the center of the arena and vacuum a CatchAll berry. Now press to aim and press and hold to charge up your shot. As the shot charges up, quickly hover your scope over as many enemies as possible. If done correctly, all targeted enemies should group together in one spot. Then, cast your carrot at the grouped enemies. Because your carrot’s AoE is wide enough, it should gather other enemies as well. When you’ve gathered at least 10 enemies with Dimwitty’s Signature Ability, you will unlock this trophy. |
||
The Apprentice Smurf Beat at least 10 CrystoBeasts with the alchemical vial when playing Brainy Smurf |
||
This trophy can only be unlocked while playing as Brainy. It is highly recommended to leave this trophy after having bought all upgrade for Brainy’s Signature Ability and to set the game’s difficulty to Challenge.

As the shot charges up, quickly hover your scope over as many enemies as possible. If done correctly, all targeted enemies should group together in one spot. Then, cast your vial at the grouped enemies. Because your vial’s AoE is wide enough and each thrown vial spawns other smaller vials, it should easily kill more than 10 enemies. When you’ve killed at least 10 enemies with Brainy’s Signature Ability, you will unlock this trophy. |
||
Ex Machina Beat at least 30 CrystoBeasts during the TurboMix when playing Handy Smurf |
||
This trophy can only be unlocked while playing as Handy. It is highly recommended to leave this trophy after having bought all upgrade for Handy’s Signature Ability and to set the game’s difficulty to Story.
If you’re struggling with this trophy, start the Magma’Tics challenge from The Land of Fire world. When you start the challenge, only kill enough enemies to charge up your Signature Ability. During this stage, you also want to leave as many enemies that are close together alive to minimize the time during which you don’t kill while you’re using your Signature Ability. As such, dispose of the CrystoToad in the upper corner during this stage. During this stage, it is also important to leave at least 5 enemies from the first wave alive, otherwise you won’t get to 30 during the second wave. Once you’ve killed the above-mentioned enemies, vacuum a CatchAll berry and activate your Signature Ability. Now you must kill as many enemies as fast as possible to continuously recharge your Signature Ability’s gauge. Because you’re playing on Story, you’ve completely maxed out Handy’s Signature Ability upgrades as well as the CatchAll Substance’s, all enemies should go down in 1-2 hits, thus granting you an almost fully gauge at all times. Note that you have to land the kill to recharge your gauge, simply hitting enemies doesn’t count. Continue doing so when the second wave spawns and if you’ve done things correctly, the trophy should pop halfway through it. Restart the challenge if needed. |
||
Come back to Earth Completely entangle a CrystoShift with the StickAll substance |
||
CrystoShifts are massive moths that you can sometimes found in the levels or in specific challenges. These enemies can spawn in the environments or from larvae. For this trophy, you must first obtain the StickAll Substance, an unmissable, story-related unlock. Once you’ve obtained it, buy all upgrades to make things easier.
Now you must find a CrystoShift. You can find one of these at the start of the Magma’Tics challenge from The Land of Fire world. At the start of the challenge, vacuum a StickAll berry and press to activate it. Now target the CrystoShift with and press and hold until it’s completely covered in honey. When it is, it will drop down and you will unlock this trophy. Consider changing the difficulty to Challenge if the CrystoShift is killed before dropping down. |
||
Talk to the hand Beat a CrystoSlap by shooting it into the void using the PushAll Substance |
||
CrystoSlaps are the enemies in the trophy tile and have a sizable weak spot on the back of their head. For this trophy, you must first obtain the PushAll Substance, an unmissable, story-related unlock. Once you’ve obtained it, buy all upgrades to make things easier.
Now you must find a CrystoSlap that’s near an unfenced ledge. You can find two of these at the start of the Magma’Tics challenge from The Land of Fire world. At the start of the challenge, vacuum a PushAll berry and press to activate it. Now target the CrystoSlap that’s closest to the arena’s boundary with and press and hold until the enemy is pushed over the edge. Once a CrystoSlap has gone out of bounds, you will unlock this trophy. Consider changing the difficulty to Challenge if the CrystoSlap is killed on impact. |
||
Catch them all! Target 8 enemies with the CatchAll Substance |
||
First, you must unlock the CatchAll Substance, an unmissable, story-related unlock. Once you’ve obtained it, buy all upgrades to make things easier. Once you’ve gotten all upgrades, vacuum a berry and switch to the substance with . Now press and hold and to charge up your CatchAll shot. As it charges up, try to hover your scope over as many enemies as possible. If done correctly, the SmurfoMix should group all enemies you’ve hovered over together. If there’s more than 8, you will unlock this trophy. Consider changing the difficulty to Challenge if the enemies you target go down before grouping together.
Release the pressure Overheat the SmurfoMix once! |
||
After obtaining any Substance berry, press to switch to the Substance you’ve just obtained and keep pressing or holding until the SmurfoMix gauge fills up entirely and you will unlock this trophy. Alternatively, just play normally and you’re guaranteed to unlock this trophy at some point while clearing the challenges.
Vanities Equip a cosmetic |
||
Cosmetics are unlocked for reaching a Silver rank in some challenges. Once you’ve obtained a cosmetic item, press and head over to the Outfits tab. Now choose the cosmetic item you’ve just unlocked and back out to the game to unlock the trophy. The first opportunity to unlock this trophy is after completing the A First for Everything challenge in the Smurf Forest world which awards you with the Terrifying Clothes cosmetic item.
The lurking fear Beat 1000 CrystoBeasts |
||
You will unlock this trophy as you play through the story, so don’t worry about it.
Numismatist Collect 1 million essence of nothingness |
||
Please note that this is cumulative and you don’t have to have 1 million Essence of Nothingness at one time.
You will most likely unlock this trophy as you clean things up in the levels, so don’t worry about it. However, if you need to, you can activate the Magnet Power for the CatchAll Substance: shots from the Green Stone automatically target the CrystoBeasts hit by the CatchAll Substance and produce Essence of Nothingness. This basically means that any target affected by the CatchAll Substance releases Essence of Nothingness when hit by the Green Stone thereafter. You can change the game’s difficulty to Challenge if the CrystoBeasts you target with your CatchAll substance are eliminated too quickly. |

For anyone else seeing this, you can fight Stalos again from the chapter select menu screen press R2 which allows you to fight him again. I had the same thing happen to me, but unlike the bosses in other levels, you can replay Stalos to get this trophy.

I think the Numismatist trophy may be bugged for me. I have purchased all the upgrades and have 260,000 banked and still haven’t gotten the trophy. Does any know how many extra nothingness is needed after all upgrades?
Thanks

I think I encountered a bug. I’m locked to play Brainy Smurf during the challenges. Playing on Xbox.
No matter which smurf I choose in the hub I end up with Brainy after selecting a challenge. It doesn’t matter if I start the challenge through the menu or via jumping to the portal. Also all challenges are affected. Restarting the game or playing some levels with different smurfs didn’t change anything.
Anyone else?
That’s really annoying as I can’t finish some trophies/achievements that way like hitting a weak spot with Stormy etc.

got the platinum. finally!
the most problem i had with “Catch them all!” but i managed to get it easily while using Handy Smurfs Turbomix.

Can you remember what stage you did this on?
BodyChipper says
Granted, I haven’t ground out the remaining ~210k essence I need to hit 1,000,000 total, but I think this game can be platted in 15 hours or less easily. My save game file shows ~11 hours and the PS5 is tracking the same with only that one trophy left. I was pretty diligent in finding all of the green gems in levels, but only ever managed to get 100% on one level in the first go. The rest I had to repeat to find what I missed. If you’re more precise on that you could save even more time.
But thanks for this guide. I don’t know how I randomly stumbled across this page for this game, but it was a fun enough action/adventure game for a few days.
