Introduction
Welcome to The Walking Dead: The Final Season Trophy Guide! This is the last addition to Telltale’s Walking Dead. Unlike previous seasons it actually comes with collectibles and missable trophies. Earlier seasons used to have “free” trophies just for completing the episodes but that’s all changed now. In fact, almost all trophies are missable and each episode features its own two collectible-related trophies. They are all easy enough and with some clever save game backups you can minimize replays. There is no chapter select!
Episode 1: Done Running

Tickle Monster Tickled AJ. |
||
Act 1: In the school, after following the music to find AJ you can press to Tickle him during a dialogue.
Nothing Wasted Used ALL traps. |
||
Act 1: After reuniting with AJ in the school, you will have to go out to the woods to defend the school from a zombie attack. After killing the first two, one of the boys will point out the huge boulders hanging on ropes from trees. There are 4 of these traps in total. You must let a zombie walk in the circle under the tree so the circle turns red. Then you can cut the rope to activate the trap (they can’t be activated if there’s no zombie under the trap).
Beware there are only 4 zombies and exactly 4 traps. If you kill a zombie by other means you will miss this trophy! Each trap must kill a zombie. Start out with the trap to the right of you. Then stun ( ) the zombie walking in front of you and activate the trap when the next zombie walks under it. Then the trap on the far left and lastly the trap in the back of the area. Remember you can press to stun zombies for a few seconds. This will keep them in place under the trap. Stunning the other zombies is always a good idea so they can’t gang up on you. |
||
Social Butterfly Talked to EVERYONE at dinner. |
||
Act 1: Just after “Nothing Wasted” trophy, you will come to the school yard at night. Here you must help AJ make friends. Go around the yard and talk to all the kids, including the two standing at the graves on the left side of the area.
Lost Love Found Heart Graffiti. |
||
Act 2: When talking to Marlon, pick dialogue FISH WITH VIOLET AND BRODY.
This will bring you to a fishing hut. Talk to AJ who is sitting on a bed at the back of the hut. He will point out a heart graffiti that unlocks the trophy. Beware, choosing the fishing path will lock you out from the two rabbit hunting trophies. Back up your save game before selecting one or the other (Quit to Main Menu > Settings > Save Files > Copy). |
||
Upstream Speared ALL fish. |
||
Act 2: Marlon will ask whether you want to go fishing or hunting rabbits. Pick dialogue FISH WITH VIOLET AND BRODY.
After getting the “Lost Love” trophy and grabbing the spear from the hut, you will have to catch 3 fish. Only press when the reticle turns red. You can’t miss a single time. It’s highly recommended you do a manual save game backup at the start of the fishing area. If you fail you can easily copy back the save game without having to replay the entire episode (Quit to Main Menu > Settings > Save Files > Copy). Beware, choosing the fishing path will lock you out from the two rabbit hunting trophies. Back up your save game before selecting one or the other. |
||
Where’s the Candy? Hit all Pinata Swings. |
||
Act 2: Marlon will ask whether you want to go fishing or hunting rabbits. Pick dialogue HUNT WITH LOUIS AND AASIM.
When you reach the hunting area in the woods, go talk to Louis and swing the bat at the trapped zombie. Hit it 3 times to kill it and earn the trophy. Beware, choosing the hunting path will lock you out from the two fishing trophies. Back up your save game before selecting one or the other (Quit to Main Menu > Settings > Save Files > Copy). Furthermore, helping Louis will lock you out from the “Rabbit Season” trophy. |
||
Rabbit Season Shot ALL rabbits. |
||
Act 2: Marlon will ask whether you want to go fishing or hunting rabbits. Pick dialogue HUNT WITH LOUIS AND AASIM.
When you reach the hunting area in the woods, go talk to Aasim and choose to help him hunt rabbits. You must shoot 2 rabbits (bow & arrow) without missing a shot. It’s highly recommended you make a save game backup when reaching the hunting woods (Quit to Main Menu > Settings > Save Files > Copy). Then you can copy back the save if you fail this. It took me 3 tries. When the first two rabbits spawn you only need to hit one of the two. They always walk a meter and then sit still for 2-3 seconds. You can aim ahead of them and when they sit still shoot them. After a mini-cutscene there will be another rabbit that you must shoot. I let it move twice and shot it at its third stop. Beware, choosing the hunting path will lock you out from the two fishing trophies. Back up your save game before selecting one or the other. Furthermore, helping Aasim will lock you out from the “Where’s the Candy?” trophy. |
||
Good Girl Rosie. |
||
Act 2: Soon after the start of Act 2, the big dog “Rosie” will come barking at you upstairs (unmissable). When Marlon comes in, choose the dialogue I TRUST YOU. Then he will teach you how to give Rosie commands and the trophy unlocks.

Petting Rosie will also give the Great Girl trophy.

||
In Act 2, you will be at a Greenhouse and have to interact with everything and everyone in its vicinity. This will also lead to some other miscellaneous and collectible-trophies, as pointed out below. Remember to press to see all things which can be interacted with.

Sureshot Didn’t miss once. |
||
While checking on your defenses in Act 3 (see Be Prepared), be sure to interact with Louis. He will give you the Bow and you have to take a few shots at the targets. Be sure not to miss a shot, but this shouldn’t be too hard.
Bonded Platonic. |
||
In Act 3, you can choose to follow either Louis or Violet and to either give them a kiss or don’t show any feelings. For this trophy, you have to choose the latter.
This will lock you out of the trophy for choosing the opposite. Make a backup savegame in the main menu before making the decision. |
||

Mercy Did no harm. |
||
When you meet James in Act 1, he asks you not to kill any Walkers during a segment where he needs to retrieve an item. To fulfill the requirement, walk around, only stunning the Zombies with until the next cutscene starts.
Nightlight Made sure they slept tight. |
||
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed.
All-seeing Let nothing slip by. |
||
There is a Field-Area close to the shore in Act 1 where you are supposed to scope out the large boat with Raiders on it. For this trophy, you need to talk to your three companions in the area and interact with all 10 clues / pieces of intel while looking through the binoculars.
Let it be noted that there are also two collectibles in the area. Pick them up before talking to the third companion.
|
||
Did you lick it? Remembered the good times. |
||
When reaching the Barn with James in Act 1, AJ will kneel next to a Salt Lick. Talk to him and encourage him to lick it.
There are also the final two Collectibles of this Episode outside of the Barn. Pick them up, while you are here. |

Goodbye Did all you could. |
||
In Act 1, you and some of your companions will squeeze in a cave to avoid the walkers. After crafting a torch and passing the stream over a tree log, head back to the main menu and duplicate your savegame to another slot. There is an upcoming choice, which will either yield this or another trophy, making the other one technically missable. Having the backup savegame saves you a bit of playing time.
After crossing the abovementioned stream, an argument will break out amongst your group. Ultimately, AJ asks you, if you trust him enough to call some big shots. For this trophy, you have to trust AJ by pressing . You need to play another 15 minutes, until you have passed the bridge-section for this trophy to unlock. |

Thanks for the guide. I Love the Walking Dead, but I’m not a fan of this addition (collectibles, missable achievements is a-ok).
For Xbox we can’t back up saves, so can you tell me if there is a rewind feature? If so, it’s a case of doing the choices we DON’T want first, then overwiting with the ones we do for the alternatives achievements/collectibles.
If there is no rewind feature, it look like you have to do 2 playthroughs per episode for all the achievements, which is a pain in the ass.
Thanks PP.

I believe there is a trick on XB1, it’s a bit of a workaround to trick the automatic cloud backup:
Quit the game at the start of Act 2 to trigger the automatic cloud upload > (double-check that it really uploaded to the cloud) > do one path and its achievements WITHOUT EXITING THE GAME (exiting the game overwrites cloud save!) > as soon as desired achievements have popped, press Home-Button > scroll down to TWD Last Season > press Options > Manage Game > Saved Data > click Gamertag > Delete Saved Data > Delete from Console > if it still shows the save, delete it again until it’s gone > press Home-Button and restart the game > it will now sync/download your Act 2 save from cloud!
Give it a try and let me know if that worked 🙂
Alex says
Thanks for the guide & for having it up quick too! I should also mention a simpler method for saving at the beginning of act 2 is you can just back out to the main menu of the game, go to settings and copy your save data to slot 2 and get all your secondary choice achievements on that file then just back out and switch back to slot 1 without having to worry about the cloud saving as they’re different saves. I bet it works on the ps4 version as well.
PowerPyx says
I’ll check, thanks!
PowerPyx says
You’re right, they have hidden this in the settings of main menu, missed this option earlier. It also works on PS4. Will update it in the guide 🙂

Straight forward guide. Thanks PP, and can’t wait for later episodes!

Hello
I’ve just seen a post regarding tell-tale games announcing a studio closure with the majority of the company’s employees been laid off which is very sad news for a company that has produced some wonderful story telling games. This also means the Walking Dead Final Season may be in jeopardy and there is some concerning news that episode 2 of this game will be the last. I hope this information is wrong. The upcoming projects Wolf Among Us 2 and Stranger Things have been cancelled.
Any thoughts on this?
JeremyVoidMain says
I haven’t played this season myself (haven’t ruled it out though, even if it’s an incomplete game forever). Is it possible that if the last episodes never get made then those those trophies won’t exist anymore (by devs/ executive choice) so everyone who did Chapter 1 and 2 get the Platinum?
PowerPyx says
I put the trophy guide on hold until we know what will happen to the series.
There are 3 options:
– They finish the series with a new dev team so we can get episode 3-4 trophies for plat.
– It remains unfinished or they don’t implement trophies correctly in upcoming episodes, then the platinum cannot be achieved for all eternity.
– Sony patches out half the trophies, makes all episode 1-2 trophies gold / silver and thus the platinum becomes achievable.
Quite frankly, I don’t think option 3 is ever gonna happen. Option 1 is our best hope.
InnesJack says
Thanks for your comments PowerPyx, I am a big fan of your guides by the way. Excellent work!
Option 1 seems to be whats going to be implemented as Robert Kirkman’s (the walking dead comic creator) company Skybound have confirmed they will be looking to finish Episodes 3 & 4 (assume Plat will be achievable) with former Telltale Staff returning to work on the game under the Skybound banner so that is great news. Skybound will soon confirm potential release dates for the final 2 episodes. Excellent news all round.
Hous says
Hello
Are we going to get trophies guide videos like episode 1 ? I didn’t play episode 2 & 3 yet, waiting for your videos
Thank you
PowerPyx says
I will still finish the guide when all episodes are released. I do think they will finish episode 4, but with Telltale having shut down you never know. I was holding off until it’s actually an obtainable platinum, and the episode releases overlapped with major game releases I was making guides for. I always finish what I start so the trophy guide will be completed down the line.
tea says
needs updating
PowerPyx says
When the full season is released it will be finished.
Richard says
Can this game be platinumed? So sad about the tell tale situation, I bought pretty much all their games 🙁
PowerPyx says
Currently there is still one Episode not released. If they do release it the plat will be possible.
Clem 4ever says
Just finished the last episode and I’m only missing one trophy, You and Me (“Came full circle”). Any idea how to obtain it?
Roniveque says
Don’t trust AJ.
Daniel says
Hey, are you planning to finish this game?Not trying to be hasty.. Thanks for your hard work!
PowerPyx says
I haven’t gotten to it yet between Sekiro Shadows Die Twice. I know the last episode released, I’ll try to get it done before Days Gone / Mortal Kombat.
PowerPyx says
Episode 4 has been added now!
Ep 2 & 3 will also be added soon.
Daniel says
Will there be also videos type in the chronological ? If no its ok anyway thank you! <3
LgNd says
I re played ep1 and got to the point where I made a back up save. When I reloaded the save 1 it says “replaying this episode would make you lose all progress”??? Why can’t I play where I left!
Daniel says
Hey,sorry for spaming but can we expect episode 2,3 before mortal kombat or after? thanks.
PowerPyx says
Before 🙂

As a mouse – needs more information as the trophy doesn’t pop after the interrogation. If it doesn’t matter whether you kill him or let him turn at least include the fact that the trophy won’t pop until you’re on the boat sneaking around when you get an opportunity to say “Rockingham”. I wasted a lot of time because of this blunder.
