Introduction

Welcome to the Watch Dogs Legion Trophy Guide! Watch Dogs Legion (WDL) is the third entry in the series and takes place in London. What makes it different from the previous Watch Dogs games is that you can recruit any person you see. Each person has a unique skillset. The trophy list is a good mix of everything: Complete the Story, do Side Quests, and do most of the things in the Open World. You don’t have to 100% the game for platinum, what you need is closer to 70% completion. Most time will be spent with open world activities. Nothing is missable, everything can be done on easy difficulty, and there are no online trophies. You can still do everything after the story in free roam.

Step 1: Play through Story (Any Difficulty) = 8-12 Hours

Your first step should be to beat the story. You can play on Easy. It’s highly recommended to turn off Permadeath Mode. DON’T play in Permadeath mode! Permadeath could complicate some trophies if one of your characters dies. Just play with Permadeath turned off, you can select this only one time when starting a New Game (cannot be changed later).

The reason to focus on Story first is that you get plenty of Collectibles, Tech Points (Skill Points), and Money automatically. This reduces the amount of open world collecting you need to do. However, you can feel free to mix things up and do some Open World Activities, Side Quests, and Miscellaneous Trophies as you go through the game. The full world map is accessible from the beginning.

Here are a few important notes to keep in mind:

  • Don’t waste money on Weapon Skins / Vehicle Paints, except for buying the cheapest one of each for trophies. You must spend 100,000 money on clothes and after doing all other trophies (all missions, side quests, trophy-related activities) you will just barely reach 100,000. Don’t waste any money! Also don’t start spending money on Clothes until you have 100,000. This makes it easier to keep track. It’s better to spend it all in one go with the same character because the trophy is known to glitch out when doing it across different characters.
  • Watch out for people with the following Occupations for trophy purposes. They are random spawns, so be sure to recruit them when you see them (with a lot of luck they can even appear on the initial character selection screen): Video Game Designer (Meta-Gaming trophy), Someone with Paintball Gun: Artists / Street Artists / Muralists / Illustrator (Paint Me Like One of Your… trophy), Living Statue (You Don’t See Me! trophy)
  • All other trophy-related Characters/Skills are automatic from Story & turning all Boroughs defiant so don’t worry about the rest. Just the above 3 are random.

Step 2: Side Quests = 3-4 Hours

Some Side Quests aren’t available until after the story. To keep things simple, do them after the story. That way you can rest assured all side quests will be available to you.

The Side Quests start in your DedSec safehouse. The following people’s questlines give trophies:

  • Bagley (1 Quest: Finding Bagley) – The One That Got Away trophy
  • Kaitlin (6 Quests: Out of Stock > Deal Breaker > Called 2 Account > Take it to the Bank > Say Cheese > Change of Heart) – In The Nick of Time trophy
  • Nowt (6 Quests: The Knowledge > STORMZY Fall on My Enemies > The Walk-In > Human Error > Nobody Home > Royal Treatment) – A Roof Over Your Head trophy
  • Hamish (2 Quests: Third Degree Burns > Parks and Reclamation) – England For Everyone trophy

Refer to those trophies below for further instructions. It’s worth noting that the trophies don’t require you to finish all side quests in the game. The questlines continue for a while after getting the trophies. However, because they give good amounts of money towards the 100,000 for clothes it’s good to do them all anyway.

Step 3: Open World Completion (Turn Boroughs Defiant + Collectibles) = 15-20 Hours

Clean up your Open World Completion after the Story. The trophy-related tasks include:

  • Red Icons / Borough Activities / Oppression Defiance Missions (22 Oppression Defiance Challenges to turn all Boroughs defiant)
  • Tech Points (after the story you’ll need roughly 100/130 Tech Points to unlock all Skills. You can skip 30 of those.)
  • Drinks (26 total, all required, combine with Darts)
  • Darts (21 total, all required, Combine with Drinks)
  • Paste Ups (47 total, all required)

When you go to the pubs for Drinks & Darts, be sure to look out for red safes. You get around 1000 money from each (~25,000 from pub safes in total). This helps towards the 100,000 you need to spend on clothes. Also be sure to do all Drinks / Darts / Paste Ups using the same character. Don’t do them across different characters as it can result in the trophy not unlocking properly. The best character class to play for exploration is the Construction Worker. He has a Cargo Drone that you can climb on top of and fly up to any roofs.

Step 4: Miscellaneous Trophies & Spending 100,000 ETO on Clothes = 1-5 Hours

Mop up any Miscellaneous Trophies you have left. They are all quick to do. If you watched out for the 3 random people mentioned in Step 1 you can save some time here. The other miscellaneous trophies are tied to characters you automatically get from Story & turning boroughs defiant. By now you’ll have everyone you need for trophies.

One of your last trophies will be to spend 100,000 money on clothes. After doing all other trophies you should automatically end up with 100,000. You might also still need a few Audio Logs and Relics but there are way more than you need for trophies.

England For Everyone
Complete “Parks and Reclamation”
Parks and Reclamation is a Side Quest.

Side Quests unlocks as you progress through the story and can be started in your DedSec Safehouse (marked on the map in City of Westminster). After the story you will have access to all Side Quests and none are missable. See the following location for the start of the questline and the quest giver (hack the Tablet in DedSec Safehouse):

Parks and Reclamation is the 2nd quest of Hamish’s questline. Once you’ve accepted a quest make sure to track it in the Missions Menu to see the waypoints on the map.

Here are the side quests of Hamish’s questline leading up to this trophy:

  1. Hamish – Third Degree Burns
  2. Hamish – Parks and Reclamation
A Dish Best Served Cold
Complete a Revenge Mission

Over the course of the game some of your team members will randomly get kidnapped. This unlocks a “Revenge Mission” to free them. To make people kidnap your operatives they must hate DedSec, as represented by the two red “thumbs down” on people’s profile. One way to help trigger this is by scanning random people on the street and find someone who dislikes DedSec (one red thumbs down). Use the Deep Profiler (unlockable skill) to scan for their schedule. Under their schedule you should see some people who are important to them / who they frequently socialize with, for example “meets with his brother at 8:00AM”. Track them, find their friend at the described time and kill the friend. When you kill their friend it will turn them from 1 thumbs down (dislike) to 2 thumbs down (hate) and they will be much more likely to kidnap your operatives. This takes some time and isn’t instant. Just turn a few people to hate DedSec and play some more missions. Having a large team of 20 Operatives may also help, the theory being that the more people you have on your team the more likely it is that one gets kidnapped at some point.

Once the Revenge Mission triggers you get a prompt on the screen that says “Mission Started”. It will also show up under Missions > Side Missions. These Missions stay permanently and aren’t time-sensitive. Simply track the quest from the Missions Menu and complete it.

Making Friends
Recruit an Operative after completing “Reporting For Duty”
“Reporting for Duty” is one of the first few main missions after the Prologue. It’s a mission that makes you recruit a Construction Worker for story purposes. After you finished this quest, go recruit any random person to unlock this trophy.

To recruit new people:

  1. Walk up to a person and hold :l1: to scan them
  2. Hold :r1: to save them to recruits
  3. Open the Team Menu, scroll over the recruit and press :square: to start their Recruitment Mission
  4. Complete the Recruitment Mission and they will join your Team, thus becoming playable Characters
  5. For people who dislike DedSec (Albion / Kelley / Royal Guard), you need to buy the Deep Profiler Upgrade from the Tech Menu. It allows you to see clues after saving those people to the recruits, doing the clues will unlock their recruitment quest.

Also, you automatically get recruits from turning boroughs defiant (by doing the Defiance Challenges marked red on the map).

Rise Up
Turn one borough into Defiant state
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks very early into the game after mission “Clarion Call” when you’ve turned Camden district defiant. See trophy “Take Back London” for further information on other districts.
Take Back London
Turn all the boroughs into Defiant state
There are 8 boroughs: City of Westminster, Camden, City of London, Islington & Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lambeth, Nine Elms.

You turn them defiant by doing the 3-4 Oppression Defiance Challenges (Borough Activities) marked red on the map. After doing all of these in one district it unlocks a unique Borough Mission. Doing that Mission will turn the borough defiant. For all of the Defiance Challenges & Defiance Missions refer to the guide below:

» Watch Dogs Legion – All Oppression Defiance Challenges Guide (Red Icons)

And Stay Down
Defeat a DedSec Adversary

Let one of your operatives get killed by an enemy. Your killer will become your team’s “Adversary”. Return to your place of death with any team member immediately and your killer should show the red text “Adversary” next to their health bar. Kill this enemy and the trophy will unlock. See the image below for what an Adversary looks like. Should no Adversary spawn, get some more of your operatives killed and keep returning to the place of death until an Adversary spawns.

Every Walk of Life
Have a team of 20 Operatives with different occupations
When you walk up to a person and hold :l1: it shows you their occupation. Recruit 20 people with different occupations. The tracking on this trophy may not work correctly and you may need to recruit more than 20 people. Make sure you select each new Recruit from the Team Menu to talk to them. This helps to make them count correctly. Also make sure they really all have different occupations. If the trophy doesn’t unlock at 20 just keep recruiting a few more people until it unlocks (when your team is full just throw someone out and recruit a new one).

How to recruit people:

Do this first so you don’t need to play as many recruitment missions.

Meta-Gaming
Recruit a Video Game Designer

Video Game Designers are found randomly in the open world. They spawn more frequently at day. Walk around town and scan everyone with :l1: to see their occupation. It’s quite random and can take a while to find one. It’s just luck.

It may also help to play as a Video Game Developer to improve their spawn rate. This isn’t 100% confirmed but it worked for some people (however, might be coincidence). So if you see a Video Game Developer, recruit them and switch to that character.

There are some spots where Video Game Designers have fixed spawns, but they won’t show up there each day. Below are two locations that can spawn them. The best method is to check those spots each in-game day at the noted times (the time of day is very important, because they move around and go to work at other times).

Possible Location #1: In the north of Lambeth, one Video Game Designer can spawn here between 7:00AM – 8:00AM (I found him here at 7:45AM but doesn’t spawn every day):

Possible Location #2: In the north of Camden, at a street corner outside King’s Cross Station, between two Underground Entrances marked on the map. Can spawn between 15:00 – 16:00 (I found him here at 15:38 but doesn’t spawn every day):

When you check both spots each in-game day (ideally also playing as a Video Game Developer) you should get lucky eventually, or just go around town scanning everyone you see at daytime until you get lucky.

With some luck you might even get a Video Game Designer on the initial character selection screen after the Prologue so watch out when selecting your first character.

Down To The Wire
Perform 5 stealth takedowns with a Professional Hitman

This requires someone with the job “Professional Hitman”. The easiest method is to turn the borough “Nine Elms” defiant (do the 3 red borough activities). It will always give you a Professional Hitman. Now head to a restricted (red) area that has Albion enemies. Sneak up to them from behind and do a melee stealth takedown. What makes this unique is that the Hitman uses a wire to choke out enemies which other agents don’t have.

Death From Above
Kill 5 Albion guards using Dive Bomb

People with the job “Drone Expert” have the “Dive Bomb” skill. The easiest method is to turn the borough of “Lambeth” defiant (do the 3 red borough activities). It will always give you a recruit with the Dive Bomb skill. Select the Dive Bomb skill from the item wheel and press :r1: to use it against enemies of the Albion faction. Either go to a restricted (red) area that has Albion enemies, or simply start a police chase and defeat policemen with it.

NO NOT THE BEES
Neutralize 10 Albion guards using Bee Swarms

People with the job “Beekeeper” have the “Bee Swarm” skill. The easiest method is to turn the borough “City of London” defiant (do the 3 red borough activities). It will always give you a recruit with the Bee Swarm skill. Select the Bee Swarm skill from the item wheel, hold :r1: to aim at up to 3 enemies and release the button to release the bees. Some of the tougher enemies it won’t kill right away but you can weaken them up beforehand. Just kill 10 enemies of the Albion faction with this skill. Either go to a restricted (red) area that has Albion enemies, or simply start a police chase and defeat policemen with it.

Hack The Planet
Propagate a hack across 8 targets at once

People with the job “Hacker” have the “Viral Hacking” skill that makes this trophy possible. You automatically unlock a Hacker after main mission “Clarion Call”. It’s one of the first main missions, very early in the game (the one that makes you liberate the borough of Camden). Select that Hacker from your team.

Method 1: At daytime head to Trafalgar Square in the City of Westminster (see location screenshot below). There are almost always 8+ protesters standing close together at the stairs in the middle of Trafalgar Square. Of course any other group of 8+ people who are walking close together on the sidewalk will do too. Now hold down :l1: (keep holding it) and then hold :x: (keep holding :l1: + :x: at the same time). This will do a “Distraction”. Because your Hacker has the Viral Hacking skill it will spread to everyone nearby and not just one person! If it spreads to 8 people you get the trophy. Just make sure you hold the buttons and don’t just tap them. Tapping them just quickly will only impact one person. Holding the buttons will trigger the Viral Hacking skill so it affects everyone. That’s what unlocks the trophy.

Method 2: An alternative strategy is to hack 8 cars simultaneously. The only trouble is that stolen cars will self-drive away after a short time. One method would be to build a traffic jam (block the street) to get enough cars close together. But an even easier method is to go to the parking lot behind Buckingham Palace (south-west of Westminster). There are always 8+ cars parked there. Just park 8 of them close together, they won’t self-drive away because they were in parking mode. Hold :l1: and then hold one of the displayed buttons (e.g. :x: ) to make all cars drive at the same time. If you don’t get enough people to spawn this is a good alternative. You could even drive cars into a restricted area with a gate and park them there (open/close the gate), this way they can’t self-drive away.

Shaken Not Stirred
Disable weapons of 5 Albion guards at once using the Spy Watch Gadget

People with the job “Spy” have the “Spy Watch” skill. The easiest method is to turn the borough of “City of Westminster” defiant (do the 3 red borough activities). It will always give you a recruit with the Spy Watch skill. Select the Spy from your team and start a police chase. A good place to do this is at the pub outside your DedSec safehouse. Just bring up the wanted level and wait for a lot of police to arrive. You can hide inside the pub for cover. When a lot of police have arrived and are close together outside the pub you select the Spy Watch from the item wheel and press :r1: to use it. If enough police are close enough to you it will unlock the trophy. If you don’t get it first try, just raise the wanted level some more and wait for the Spy Watch to cool down. You can use it again after a short period.

Power To The People
Have your followers neutralize a total of 3 Albion guards

People with the job “Football Hooligan” have the “Rally Cry” skill. The easiest method is to turn the borough of “Islington & Hackney” defiant (do the 3 red borough activities). It will always give you a recruit with the Rally Cry skill. Select the Football Hooligan from your team and go to a restricted (red) area that has Albion enemies. Before entering the restricted area, open your item wheel and select the Rally Cry ability (you can’t spawn them while inside the restricted area). It will spawn 3 Hooligans who will follow you. Just walk up to some Albion enemies and let your followers defeat them. An easy trick is to distract an enemy by pressing :l1: on them, this allows your followers to do an instant takedown. You can also weaken up the enemies yourself by punching them a few times. Avoid firing your weapon, doing so would make your followers run away! If any gunfire breaks out they will run off, so avoid that. The counting for this trophy may be a bit off or it doesn’t count every Albion enemy as “Albion guards”. It took me quite a bit more than 3 to unlock the trophy. I did it at the restricted area “Royal Courts of Justice” in City of Westminster, but any restricted area that shows Uniformed Access for Albion should do.

Paint Me Like One of Your…
Stun Clan Kelley members 5 times with paintball gun headshots

For this trophy you need to recruit someone with the occupations Street Artist / Artist / Illustrator / Muralist. Those people have a paintball gun in their inventory. Just walk around holding :l1: until you find one of them. They are random spawns so it takes some luck and patience.

Once you have recruited a character with a paintball gun, go to one of the red outlined areas in Islington & Hackney. Those areas are all occupied by Clan Kelley members (it also says “Unformed Access For: Clan Kelley” when scrolling over those red areas). Shoot them in the head using the paintball gun, 5 times total.

The below area has a good chance of spawning Street Artists (seen at night from 23:00 – 5:00 spraying graffiti at walls) and Artists (walking around randomly). But they can also spawn anywhere else.

Throw The Book At Them
Perform 5 arrest takedowns

For this you need an Albion Contractor or a Policeman that has the “Handcuffs” in their item wheel. The easiest method to recruit one of them is to finish Main Mission “Inside Albion”. This Story Mission (first Albion Chapter) forces you to recruit an Albion Contractor automatically. That one should have the Handcuffs skill in the item wheel.

In case you want to do it earlier, or if for some reason your story-related Albion Guard doesn’t have Handcuffs, you can recruit one in the open world (they drive around in police cars but are also found at hostile areas outlined in red on the map). Hold :l1: to view the Albion Contractor / Policeman and :r1: to save to Recruits. In order to start the recruitment you must have the “Deep Profiler” upgrade from the Tech Menu. Then you can scroll over the Policeman in the Team Menu and press :triangle: to scan him for clues to unlock his recruitment mission. Because Policeman and Albion Contractors dislike DedSec they cannot be recruited right away, so you must have the Deep Profiler to unlock their Recruitment Clues (same process used to get “The Royal Tour” trophy).

Once you have a Policeman with Handcuffs skill, toggle on the Handcuffs from the item wheel and walk up to people from behind. You’ll see a :square: button prompt to arrest them. It doesn’t work when walking up to them from the front.

The Royal Tour
Enter Buckingham Palace’s restricted area disguised as a Royal Guard

Step 1: Buy the Deep Profiler upgrade from the Tech Menu (costs 25 Tech Points).

Step 2: Go to Buckingham Palace in the west “City of Westminster” borough. Scan :l1: the Royal Guards (red coats) in the restricted area of the Buckingham Palace and :r1: save them to recruits.

Step 3: In Team Menu use Deep Profiler on the Royal Guard (press :triangle: on him).

Step 4: This will bring up a menu with clues for Recruitment Leads. Select :square: one of the Recruitment Leads. This will automatically mark it on the map via a blue magnifying glass icon.

Step 5: Complete the Recruitment Lead. It’s usually just a quick hack of someone’s phone or getting / deleting some other type of data by hacking it. After doing this it will show “Recruitment Mission Started” on the screen.

Step 6: Complete the Recruitment Mission for the Royal Guard. You can either scroll over him in the Team Menu and press :square: to view the mission, or find it in the Mission Menu. Make sure you actively track it to get the golden quest marker for it on the map. After completing this mission the Royal Guard will join your team and becomes a playable character. Simply select him from the Team Menu.

Step 7: Return to Buckingham Palace in City of Westminster and walk into the restricted (red) area while playing as the Royal Guard.

You Don’t See Me!
Escape a Pursuit Level 5 doing a Statue Emote

For this trophy you need to recruit someone with the occupation Living Statue. They spawn most regularly during day (between 10:00 – 16:00) at popular tourist areas and along marina promenades. While it’s random where exactly they spawn, there are some areas that have a better chance to spawn them:

Possible Spawn #1: Millenium Wheel (big Ferris Wheel), between 10:00 – 16:00.

Possible Spawn #2: At the Marina Walk at the western border of Lambeth (the harbor area promenade along the water). They tend to spawn quite frequently here between 10:00 – 16:00.

Just keep checking these areas each in-game day until one of those guys spawns. They spawn somewhere else each day. Remember it has to be daytime, 10:00 – 16:00. They don’t spawn after 16:00 because that’s when their work shift ends (as seen when you analyze them).

After recruiting a Statue Man, select him from the Team Menu, cause some havoc to rack up a 5 star police chase, then use the Statue Emote to lose the police.

Could’ve Made National
Complete Kick up challenge intermediate 1

First you must go to one of the Kick-Up Locations (marked by a blue football icon). See the 2 screenshots below for a Kick-Up Location in the south-east of City of London borough.

You must complete the 6 beginner rounds and then the first intermediate round. Kick-Up is a QTE minigame in which you must press the buttons that are shown on-screen. Delay the button press until it’s in the green or purple zone (you will see a circle around the button – press when it’s in the green/purple part for more points).

DedSec Delivery
Complete 20 Parcel Fox Delivery Missions
Parcel Fox Delivery Missions are marked on the map by a blue fox icon . They get marked automatically as you unfog the map.

These are very simple parcel deliveries where you drive a package from Point A to Point B. There’s an infinite amount of them as they keep respawning forever and never run out.

There are 3 types: Timed (Delivery can time out) / Fragile (parcel destroyed if it takes too much damage) / Contraband (parcel attracts police attention). Just get a really fast sports car before starting the delivery to save time. Each time you interact with the delivery box the deliveries change, so if you don’t like what you get just interact with the delivery box a few times in a row.

All About Aesthetic
Buy a Weapon Skin

Open the Team Menu > Press :x: “Edit” on any character > scroll over any weapon and press :x: “Edit” > press :triangle: “Skins” > press :x: to purchase any skin. Pick the cheapest one, you’ll need to spend 100,000 money on clothes for “Fresh Threads” so don’t waste anything on expensive skins.

Re-Wrap My Whip
Buy a Vehicle Paint

First you must recruit someone who has their own vehicle. Don’t worry about this, you will automatically get a few people with cars while liberating all boroughs.

Now open the Team Menu > Press :x: “Edit” on any character > scroll over any car and press :x: “Edit” > press :triangle: “Change Paint Job” > press :x: to purchase any skin. Pick the cheapest one, you’ll need to spend 100,000 money on clothes for “Fresh Threads” so don’t waste anything on expensive paint.

Fresh Threads
Spend 100 000 ETO on Clothes in shops
Shops are marked by blue icons on the map. They get marked automatically as you unfog the map. ETO is the currency in Watch Dogs Legion.

100,000 ETO is actually quite a lot. You should get to 100,000 by doing all other trophies. It’s highly recommended you don’t spend any money until you have 100,000 total. This makes it easier to keep track. It’s best you spend 100,000 in one go using the same character. Some trophies have tracking issues when doing them across different characters so don’t take any risks. Also don’t spend excessive amounts on Weapon Skins or Car Paints! When spending money on Clothes it also counts accessories such as Hats, Glasses, Facewear, Bags.

You get around 35,000 from the Story. Roughly 30,000 comes from Side Quests. While working on all Drinks & Darts Games for trophies “Bottom’s Up” & “Bullseye” you will visit 25 pubs. They have red safes which contain around 1,000 each, so that’s another 25,000 or so. This brings us to 90,000. For the rest, you can collect the ETO Collectibles marked on the map by gray icons (must fully zoom in map). These automatically get marked as you unfog the map. You can also find more red safes in most of the hostile areas (outlined in red on the map).

Another trick is to play as a Hacker (you get one automatically during story). Hackers have the Viral Hacking perk. Walk around town and use Viral Hacking on people. Hold :l1: and hold :x: simultaneously. By holding the buttons while having the Viral Hacking perk it will hack everyone near you and not just one person! This drains some ETO from their bank account into yours. If you have enough people around you, it can yield around 60 ETO every few seconds. This is a repeatable method that allows you to get as much money as you want. But doing this alone would take up a lot of time, hence you should do all other trophies first to get enough money.

Here’s another easy AFK Method: Get someone with the Living Statue emote (see trophy “You Don’t See Me!”), park an Ambulance (or other tall vehicle where people can’t push you), climb on it and use the Living Statue emote in a place where lots of people are walking by. You get 5 ETO for everyone who walks by. The reason to stand on top of a tall vehicle is that pedestrians will sometimes push you (because they don’t like DedSec or randomly walk into you), which would break up the Living Statue emote. By standing on a vehicle they can’t reach you so you can use the Emote infinitely. I got around 2000 ETO per hour doing this. You can just leave on your console overnight, get 8 hours of a good night’s rest and wake up with 16,000 ETO more than you had before.

Note: It is recommended to make a manual backup before spending all your money. PS4 Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Copy to USB or PS Plus. Just in case the trophy doesn’t unlock for some reason this gives you a way to copy back your save (thus restoring your money).

Fully Kitted
Unlock all Upgrades
Upgrades can be unlocked in the “Tech” Menu. You must buy all upgrades for all the skills listed there (all 3 upgrades for all 24 skills). This includes all Gadgets, Upgrades, Weapons.

To buy upgrades you need Skill Points. You need a little over 1300 Skill Points for all upgrades. There are 130 Tech Points in the Open World, each gives you 10 Skill Points. That’s 1300 Skill Points total. But you also get 300 Skill Points automatically from the Story (unmissable rewards).

The best method is to play through the story first. This allows you to skip 30 Tech Point Locations in the open world, so if you get stuck on one you can move on to the next (roughly 100/130 are needed). The Tech Point Locations get marked on your map after turning the boroughs defiant. See trophy “Take Back London” on how to turn them all defiant.

Some of the Tech Points can be tricky to reach. Check out the full guide below for all their locations & solutions:

» Watch Dogs Legion – All Tech Point Locations

Locked And Loaded
Purchase all the upgrades for every weapon
You unlock this automatically while working on “Fully Kitted”. For this trophy you only need the weapon related upgrades (LT 68P DedSec Pistol, MP9 DedSec SMG, LTL SG, DedSec Grenade Launcher).
Oral History
Collect 50 Audio Logs
You get around 35 Audio Logs automatically from the Story & Side Quests (automatic rewards). The rest you can find in the open world. There are many more than you need for this trophy. Only 50 are needed and it counts the ones from Story & Side Quests, too.

On the world map they get marked by a gray speaker icon (must fully zoom in on map). They get marked automatically as you unfog the map. You can keep track of how many you’ve found via the Data Menu.

Simply get the 35+ from Story & Side Quests, then keep collecting them in the open world until the trophy pops. Since they all get marked automatically just by uncovering the map they are easy to locate.

*This trophy was bugged for some players prior to patch 1.05 but has reportedly been fixed with patch 1.05.

Magpie
Collect 15 Relics
You get 12 Relics automatically from the Story (mandatory to advance the Story, cannot be missed). After the story simply get another 3 Relics in the open world. It only counts “full Relics” and not single Relic Pieces. Some Relics consists of 4-5 pieces that form 1 full Relic. Only those full Relics counts towards the trophy.

On the world map they get marked by a gray chest icon (must fully zoom in on map). They get marked automatically as you unfog the map.

Since they all get marked automatically just by uncovering the map they are very easy to locate.

Here are 3 one-piece Relics that you can quickly grab after the story to pop the trophy:

Relic Location #1 – inside DedSec Safehouse

Relic Location #2 – use Spiderbot on a rooftop to crawl through some vents (fly up there using Cargo Drone)

Relic Location #3 – easily accessible in a back alley, just climb over the fence

Great guide as always. Just one question, does collecting Drinks / Darts / Paste Ups need to be done consecutively? Or can I collect any I come across during the main story gameplay just as long as its done with one character? Thanks :-)

Doesn’t need to be done consecutively. You can leave the game and do other activities in between.

Hello tks for the graet Guide. Something is wrong here, done all side quests and In The Nick of Time did not unlock. Also done more than 20 deliveries and the trophy Dedsec Delivery did not pop. Could you help ?

Sounds like the trophies bugged for you, sorry to hear that. Your best bet is to try reinstalling the game, starting a new game and redoing those trophies.
Isolated bugs like this can happen if something went wrong during trophy set installation (which happens when the game is being installed). Reinstalling the game usually fixes it. The only problem is if you don’t have a backup save in PS+ Cloud from before doing the questline for “Nick of Time”, you’ll have to replay a bit of story. Check your Cloud Saves if maybe you got a backup from before doing the quest that pops the trophy.

No skill needed. Your character can take tons of damage on easy difficulty. Nothing that needs any skill in this game.
Honestly the hardest part is the football minigame where you press 5 buttons :r2: / :l2: / :l1: / :r1: / :x: to juggle a ball, and that’s literally just pressing some QTE buttons displayed on the screen :D

Only if you enable permadeath mode that’s how it works.
If you turn permadeath off (when starting new game), it will just put a cooldown on your character when they die. After 1 hour or so they can be played again.

Hi Powerpyx, can you say anything regarding PS5? Is it a shared trophy list or a separate one?
I want to start on PS4 and continue on PS5 if possible, but if the trophy list for PS5 is separate I might just wait and play the whole game on PS5…
If you know and are allowed to tell I would appreciate any information ;)

I don’t know this yet, but I’m sure they will be separate stacks. Just like PS3 and PS4 and PS Vita have their own stacks. It will be the same trophies but PS5 version will have its own separate trophy stack (so you can earn a platinum for the PS4 version and another platinum with PS5 version). That’s just my theory, nothing confirmed.
What is confirmed is that you can play the backwards compatible PS4 version with your PS5 (and presumably continue unlocking trophies for the PS4 stack).
Some PS5 games will allow you to use your PS4 save game on PS5. Not sure if it applies to Watch Dogs Legion though.

Why is your 8-12 hour estimate drastically different than the 20-25 hour story estimate I’m seeing from other reviewers?

    Reply
    • PowerPyx says

      October 28, 2020 at 10:43 pm

They must be including side activities in that time estimate, or be playing on hard with permadeath, or didn’t record their actual playtime correctly.
The story took me 8 hours on easy difficulty. I captured it all on video, hence I know the exact time it took me. However, I skipped the dialogues (didn’t find them very compelling). That’s the reason for the “up to 12 hours” in my estimate, because if you listen to all dialogues it will add a few hours. There’s no way the story alone would take you 25 hours, even if you played on hard with permadeath.

I added some screenshots under that trophy where exactly I found them. Did some more experimenting and got them to spawn there again. Also had friends find them in those exact spots, so it seems somewhat reliable and repeatable. However, they won’t be there each day. There’s still a bit of luck to it.

    Reply
    • PowerPyx says

      October 30, 2020 at 8:28 am

Yes just keep checking there. I found someone there most in-game days. If nobody spawns check back the next in-game day as you play through the story (check the Ferris wheel and drive south from there along the water).

I’d say it’s about 50% chance that one will spawn somewhere along this path on a given day. Over the course of 2-3 in-game days you should get lucky 🙂

I’ve also seens tons of these people while searching for a Video Game Designer, just walking around town in normal clothes without the golden statue costume. So they can definitely also spawn among normal pedestrians walking around.

Does anyone have any idea if trophies still pop when using a cross-save from a different platform courtesy of the new Ubisoft Connect? For example, let’s say I’ve gotten all the achievements on PC and use Ubisoft Connect to play with that same save on my PS4. Will all the trophies just unlock since I got them on that save on PC? Really curious about this.

Hi sorry for the late reply since I only saw this but Watch dogs Legion Ubisoft staff didn’t monitor trophy transfer very well and in my and many people’s case we platinumed the game on ps4 then transferred the Platinum save onto ps5 version of the game only “Piece de resistance”, “Fresh Threads” and “Oral History” popped up. With the rest not popping up. I think for me when I did a darts complete all dart games trophy did pop, but not the drink one.
While next doors Assassins creed: Valhalla did work and when you transferred your ps4 save to ps5, all trophies came popping up and you got a platinum on both ps4 and ps5. So it is only Watch dogs Legion ubisoft devs not doing trophy transfer properly.
If it is a case even in cross-gen, I think cross platform might as well have the same if not more problems.
      Hope this helped : D

Easy solution for the Meta-Gaming trophy.

Start new game, chose Video Game Designer at character select screen after the spider puzzle. If the Video Game Designer don’t appear start a new game and try again.

The characters are pre-selected at the start of the game so this can’t be done whit backups.

My only idea is to delete the Watch Dogs Legion save games, reinstall the game, and start from scratch. Collect all 50 using the same character. I guess it could glitch out again though, not a 100% fix but this method often works in situations like this.

Permadeath isn’t needed (as stated at the start of the guide multiple times).

I’ll just quote myself from the overview at the top of the guide:
“Does difficulty affect trophies?: No, can do everything on easy and it doesn’t matter if you play permadeath mode or not”

Roadmap Step 1: “Permadeath could complicate some trophies if one of your characters dies. Just play with Permadeath turned off, you can select this only one time when starting a New Game (cannot be changed later).”

    • SadGamer says

      November 3, 2020 at 2:49 am

I only encountered a revenge mission once around 20 hours in-game playtime, however, the trophy did not pop after completing it. Now I’m currently at 42 hours playtime, posess 160k in ETO and have finished literally everything. Even most of the text documents. I had around 30 members in the first 10-15 hours as I recruited everyone in the beginning. After I first encountered the revenge mission (I did the story missions last) I had around 40 members.

So, “Oral History” and “A Dish Best Served Cold” did not pop for me, even when I’ve played a construction member the whole playthrough. Extremely frustrating! I guess the difficulty score should be changed to reflect the frustration of trophies not popping as it increases the difficulty of continuing to play the game… :p

I’ve left my PS4 on for over 10 hours where my character have stand still in the city. No revenge mission has popped up so far. I’m leaving it for another 10 hours, and after that I’m giving up. I hate trophies like this as they are luck-based and can ruin a platinum trophy…

    • DKShadow says

      November 3, 2020 at 7:41 pm

So far I’m at 46 hours played, all missions are done, I have 24 operatives, all trophies are done… except the revenge mission, because I’ve never had one pop. Very annoying to be unable to get the platinum until this thing randomly happens… if it happens at all. Could be bugged, no way to know.

Hi, Powerpyx and friends, I have a temporary fix for trophy ‘Oral History’ (by user ‘qinyachanghui’ from psnine). IF you comfirmed you collect over 50 audio logs in game, and the trophy glitch out and not popping, try this:

    1) backup ur saves ( i recommend usb)
    2) open new game
    3) play through tutorial, and when u reached the part where you get jn DedSec’s savehouse, make sure you collect the 2 audio logs in the savehouse
4)go through the melee combat tutorial
5)when the missiom prompt u to leave the savehouse, interect the door to leave as usual, the trophies will pop now.

Hopefully this could help someone, and sry for my bad grammer.

If you got glitched in “Oral History” try this:
    backup your save
start a new game by clicking “new game” (don’t delete the save on your console)
proceed until the end of “Restart DedSec
” quest (it will ask you to “Exit the Safehouse”)
Before exiting, pick up all headphone icon in the Safehouse (there should be around 5 of them), don’t pick up other items.
Once you exit the safehouse, it will pop up.

I tried on my 2 PSN account, both works well

If police disappear from someone else’s game here, please write what your progress was (if you had turned all boroughs defiant & whether you had finished the story).

I believe this is a bug.
I got the platinum and cleared all side quests. Still I can get wanted levels by killing random people on the road.

      Powerpyx,
Like you I finished the game before then I turned all borough then I did secondary mission. I think the secondary mission with Bagley disabled cops.
Otherwise I started a new game and skip story and recruit a statue guy. Took me 1 hours to do all this.

    • PowerPyx says

      November 2, 2020 at 12:07 pm

Someone in the comments mentioned still getting police to spawn after doing all side quests & getting platinum (which includes the Bagley side quest).
Additional confirmation appreciated. If more platinum achievers still get police to spawn, it means the police is just bugged.

      November 5, 2020 at 9:43 pm

I have the same problem. I finished the story first. After that I did all trophy related side quests and after that I made all boroughs defiant. Now I can wreak havoc on the streets how much I want, nothing is happening. I also realised that there are no longer patroling Albion cars on the streets.

    • Couga says

      November 7, 2020 at 12:52 am

I don’t know why but today the pursuit system worked again as intended and I could get the trophy with the statue man.

If it hadn’t worked I thought about a workaround. You could go to a parcel box and accept a delivery with 3 pursuit points. Now you just need to kill the spawning Albion guys until you are up to 5. I couldn’t test it, since like I said it worked for me normaly again. But maybe it’s worth a try for someone who still has the problem.

    Hi,
“I cant see you” its a missable trophy because after the game you can gain 5 star. In fact you will not have 1 star even if you kill some ctos drone or cops or people on bridge.
You can check on internet and youtube and many have this issue.
Can you confirm me before I start a new game please ?

I was starting to think what you said, until I found this tip. There’s a building south eastish of the Civil Aviation Traffic Office, in Southwark. I cargo droned onto the roof (has glass pointed arch skylights on it), missile droned the traffic (1-3 instantly) then shot anything that came near. I used the pistol and the grenade launcher, starting with the launcher. Took me a few of tries, as you need to get lucky with timing.

  26. The Seag says

    November 1, 2020 at 10:39 pm

The “you don’t see me” achievement still works if you go to the Dedsec hideout and shoot a gun outside the pub. It will cause a wanted level, no matter how far into the game you are (I have all districts in rebellion and just got the achievement). Simply set up my living statue recruit with the shock pistol and smg both fully upgraded, then stayed in the pub stunning cops, it takes ages to get to level 5 so just stick it out (also recommend having a team member or 2 with the “bail out” Perk so if u do happen to fial the prison timeout will be cut short. Find either a lawyer or more commonly a police officer.

For the shaken not stirred achievement its easy to simply go to Buckingham Palace as the spy, run around unarmed in the red zone until the 6 Royal guards begin to chase you, quick change to a weapon kup on the D-pad) then quickly activate the spy watch to disable their weapons. U can then quit out the game to avoid being killed once the achievement pops, simply reload and run around again if u didn’t make it. There are also police dotted around who you can attract, obviously works best in the day.

It seems using Living Statue can be a decent way to grind some ETO while afk. Just stand somewhere with people nearby, like inside a pub, and go to bed. You’ll get 5 ETO every 2 seconds on average.

Okay so I just retried what @The Seag does. Initially, it does not work.

So I decide to run some side missions that I think potentially locking the Albino’s chase. Apparently it is true. Sorry I did not remember the mission name but the objective was to destroy 3 boxes and killing 1 person (and he/she is related to Albino). After I finished that mission, Albino is now chasing me again.

    Now I’ve got the trophy.

I had the same problem and wasn’t able to get the “you don’t see me” trophy, but after reading this comment I checked my mission log. After completing that quest I was immediately able to get the pursuits again and the trophy 🙂 it was the last I needed for the plat. I completed all the other trophies and the campaign. I hope this info helps!

I can confirm: completing the side mission Home and Hosed does indeed get Albion officers to finally start responding on the street again. Fun fact: the officers won’t even spawn for parcel deliveries with a police aggro rating when that side mission is active, so you can complete 20 deliveries without being bothered by them at all. Nice and easy.

Anyone else having problems with Dedsec Delivery? I’ve done at least 30 of these boring missions and no trophy popped. Fuming. Also I have the problem with the audio logs trophy popping too. Bizarrely it seems the tracking is also wrong in Ubisoft Connect app. It’s showing as me having unlocked the award for 40 logs 3 days ago but for 20 logs 2 days ago. That’s got to be an error.

I found a fix that will guaranteed work for the 50 audio log.

If you got glitched after collecting 50 Audio and did not get the trophy then do this.

    1. Start a new game as soon as you make the first region a defiant then start to collect the 50 audio log manually using 1 character DO NOT SWITCH CHARACTERS. And DO NOT rely on the ones you get from the story. Because i guess those does not count for the trophy. You have to collect all 50 with your character.

2.after colllecting all 50 from the map,if tge trophy didn’t unlock to you dtart a new game immediately without deleting the save file, start a new game and finish the tutorial. My trophy popped the second i brought bagley back to life in the dedsec hideout.

For the living statue trophy. I FOUND A FIX

If you DO NOT HAVE COPS in your game after completing everything. Start a new game aswell and after finishing making the first region a defiant you will find a living statue. You NEED TO MAKE THE REGION A DEFIANT to be able to recruit a statue. And then do it just like powerpyx video!!

Those how i was able to unlock those trophies.

DO THIS BEFORE THIS GETS PATCHED. HURRY UP GUYS

go to the WINTER LION PUB on the map in the CITY OF WESTMINSTER

Get inside the pub and open the safe. Then stand outside the pub in front of the door and hold the ps button and click CLOSE APPLICATION. Then join the game again and it will respawn you close to the pub, go nto it and OPEN THE SAFE EASILY UNLIMITED TIMES!!

And another thank you for another excellent guide! Could you please add to the bit about exploration with Construction Worker that his skill cargo drone flies _at least_ 2x faster vs. regular cargo drone any char can hack or summon via landing pads. Personally, since it’s not explicitly mentioned and any char could summon regular drone and I just loved the Hacker, I wasted a lot of time doing collectibles with slow-as-hell regular drone, until accidentally trying out Construction Worker when I had _only 3 trophies left_ (#facepalm). And in the mission where you recruit the worker I had also missed that because I just hacked a regular drone instead of using the skill.

Hi, so my wife had this glitch after finishing the main missions. So we did a 404 side mission and nothing.

So after getting myself the delivery parcel fox achievement I remembered they come with a fixed wanted level. So I got her to activate one of the parcels with 2 chevron (^ triangles) with 2 of the 3 markers, which gave her an instant wanted level also made sure the package had no time limit. She kept killing the cops in the car and delivered the package and the wanted level stayed, she then went to a pub and battled to 5 star with the living statue character and got the achievement. Hope this helps, I don’t know if it has reactivated the cops or not but she has the achievement.

She has completed tge main story and iv only just finished the 404 missions lol.

The shock drone is a piece of junk, if you throw it during a firefight most likely they will get shot down in matter of seconds. Only use it during stealth to initiate a fight, then your drone is almost guaranteed to hit the enemy (if the pathing don’t destroy it first)

For those encountering bugs like revenge mission or audio file, I found that each time when you quit the game via menu and then come back in, it kinda “refreshes” the game. The revenge mission happened too frequently when I quit the game that I stopped quitting the game and only rest my PS4 when I want to leave. So people can try that. For the audio trophy, it just popped up as well during one of my game starts, I quitted the game for another and then started up my game again and it just popped.

I’m doing the side mission for Nowt called ‘The Knowledge’. You have to go inside a 3 story car park area and activate a terminal at the top. Then you have to disable 3 vehicle jammers. I can destroy the first 2 vehicle jammers by destroying the car. But this is where i’m unable to progress. When it tells me to destroy the third vehicle jammer, it won’t let me destroy the car. But it’s as if there are 2 cars in one. I can get in the car and then drive it, but this then leaves a like ghost car in it’s place which has the mission icon on it. And i can’t destroy it because i can just walk straight through the car and it’s not a solid object. I’ve tried destroying the other car i got into. I’ve restarted several times with different operators. But no luck.

Yeah, same here. Apparently you have to do all of them with the character you Choose at the start. Just checked it. Did like 50 parcel missions with an artist guy, no trophy, checked stats, 11 deliveries.
Did another one with this guy, 11.
Then switched to my “main” character, did one, 12 appeared. So yeah. Time wasted. But I’m more worried about the defiant states, as it shows only 2, and I did 5 so far. 2 with my main and 3 with others, and I wonder if that will lock me out of the achievement.
Parcels are purple like darts, drinks and paste ups, so I think they should be considered the same way

Maybe @PowerPyx should put that into the description.

If you let all your agents die, you’d have to restart the game.
But also all the ones that require a specific agent to be used. If you lose one of them (they come easily from liberating certain boroughs), it would be completely random to find someone else with that skill again. Not worth the headache.

I just got the platinum and I wanted to share some feedback:
    1. I think it’s worth to red-label for Drinks, Darts, and Paste-ups that not only use only one character, but try NOT to enter Rest Mode while doing them, because that will disconnect the game from Ubisoft Connect, and will not automatically reconnect once you come back from Rest Mode. This is how the tracking issue seems to occur. Entering Rest Mode is still OK but you have to remember to manually reconnect to Ubisoft Connect (via start menu and click Ubisoft Connect) to ensure it’s connected after coming back from Rest Mode.
    2. The Fresh Threads trophy, as oppose to Drinks, Darts, and Paste-ups, does not seem to use the tracking from Ubisoft Connect, rather local storage. I think it’s worth to red-label again for this trophy that you MUST use one character in one-go. I read the walkthrough in the beginning and mistakenly believe as long as I spend 100k ETO on clothes I can get the trophy so I spent on a few operatives during normal play. Then, I had to make and spend full 100k again on a single operative in one-go (even though I already spent 50k on her before).

Hope this helps others to save some time and get some clarity on the current glitches. Good luck! As always, thanks to PowerPyx for keeping up the good work.

For 1. I doubt Uplay has anything to do with it. I did everything offline while disconnected from PSN. I did it across multiple game sessions (but I didn’t enter rest mode). It doesn’t use Uplay for tracking this.
For 2. It was already mentioned in the overview, roadmap & trophy guide to keep 100k to spend it in one go because of glitches.

Not sure if it’s already been said, but with the ps5 version patch 1.10, the ‘glitched trophies seem to pop with a game reload, even if you use multiple characters. I had done all paste ups, 100k for clothes and audio logs while playing through the game with multiple agents. None of the trophies popped when they were supposed to, but all popped upon the next time I loaded the campaign after closing the game completely. I assume (don’t quote me) that the same will be true for the rest of the collection trophies also.

It didn’t work for the darts and drinks trophies, but thaaaanks!

“All About Aesthetic” still bugged, does not unlock.
“The Future is Bright” also bugged. I have the achievement for completing the entire Deadsec storyline which is literally not possible without completing the requirements for this and yet I don’t have this.

I have restarted the game, the console, cleared my cache and sacrificed a goat. Ubisoft can go fuck themselves. This game wasn’t even worth the $20 I spent on sale.

The revenge mission doesn’t trigger in the New patch. Any suggestion?

Only just got round to playing this game. Got the Meta Gamer Trophy without trying really. I was just walking around scanning people randomly and found a female video game designer, nowhere near the spawn point in the guide BTW so I think they can pop up anywhere. Did her recruitment mission and got the Trophy.

bought the game in nov -21 for ps5, tried drinks, darts and past up´s with the same character in one run(2 times), also made sure I was connected to ubisoft servers the whole time and it didn´t work.
f*cking hate when they mess up games like this….

anyway, thank you Powerpyx for another great guide!

    Hi
Are trophies auto-pop on PS5 if I transfer my save from my PS4 ? (I have the platinum trophy on PS4)

Does meta-gaming have to be a game designer or can it be a game developer as well?

The trophies in this game are quite straightforward. None of them was really difficult. The paste up one was probably the one I had to put the most effort into. The guide for that one was very helpful. Amazing game, by the way.

This sucks! ‘Long live the Queen’ and ‘Hacker, tailer, soldier, spy’ didn’t pop for me. I have all other trophies apart from ‘piece de resistance’ which I accept was done with multiple characters so the bugged game didn’t save them properly.

Idk if this has been answered yet, but if darts/drinks trophy didn’t pop because you used different characters, could you just redo all locations on the current playthrough with another character, even though everything has been checkmarked already? Instead of starting a whole other playthrough

Is there anyone who know if it’s the same process when up loading cloud save and then downloading it for the “Lone live Deadsec trophy” on the Ps5 ?
