The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has 15 Skyview Tower Locations. The Skyview Towers act as viewpoints that unfog the map. There is one per region. They also unlock a permanent fast travel point. Additionally, you can use these towers to be launched high up into the air, allow you to glide to any nearby destination instead of walking. This saves a lot of time and makes navigating the world easier.
Some of these towers involve solving puzzles or are broken and must be repaired. So at times it can be a bit confusing what to do because the game doesn’t tell you. A few towers you simply walk to and interact with to activate them but the majority requires more work. This guide shows all the locations and solutions.
None of the Skyview Towers are missable. You can still visit all of them after the story in free-roam. All towers can be activated immediately after you activate the first tower during the story. They don’t require any abilities from later in the game. The towers with a broken consoles can seem like they require extra abilities but these only require helping the nearby repairmen to fix the tower for you.

#1 – Lookout Landing Skyview Tower
Automatically activated during Main Quest: Crisis at Hyrule Castle. It’s the first tower you activate as part of the story, can’t miss it.
#2 – Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower
Found northwest of Lookout Landing near New Serenna Stable. On a hill surrounded by water. South of it near the water are some wooden planks. Use Ultrahand ability to stick them together to make one very long wooden plank. Place it in the water, it should be long enough that it reaches the rock in the water. The wooden planks will float in the water. Walk over your wooden bridge and jump on the rock, climb up. This way you will start the climb with full stamina.
#3 – Rospro Pass Skyview Tower
In Hebra region, on top of a mountain, surrounded by spiky vines. You can climb up the ladders at the foot of the mountain, then climb the mountain walls. If there are spiky vines in your path either climb around them or burn them with fire. At the Skyview Tower are lots of spiky vines. Cast any flame to burn them. For example, shoot a burning arrow with + > select Fire Fruit, or put a Flint and some wood on the ground and strike the Flint, or make a campfire and light a torch melee weapon on fire, or attach a Flame Emitter Zonai device to a shield etc.
#4 – Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower
This is in the northwest of the map. The tower is on top of a snowy mountain. The easiest way would be to paraglide there from Hebra Mountains (northwest of tower), assuming you have already been to that region. Then you can land directly on top of the mountain. Alternatively, if you approach from below, you must use Ultrahand to attach two or more wooden planks to the broken wooden bridge that hangs off the side of the mountain. Then you can climb up those wooden boards. It’s a long climb but you have just enough stamina to do it. If you have trouble, you can always eat a meal that restores stamina mid-climb, or make a campfire (put wood + flint on ground, hit flint) and then toss a Hylian Pine Cone into it to create a gust of wind that you can paraglide over.
#5 – Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower
This tower is in the north of the map. Upon reaching the tower you will see 4 floating platforms around it. Stand on the wall behind the tower, from there you can use the floating platform closest to the ground. Push it down to the floor. You will see two rockets are on this platform. Attach one (or both, doesn’t matter) on top of the platform, with the tip of the rocket facing up. Hit the rocket, it will raise the platform in the air high above the tower. The top of the tower is blocked by one of these floating platforms. Paraglide to the top of the tower but land on the golden ring just underneath the floating platform. From there you can use Ultrahand to move the floating platform away from the tower roof. This triggers a short cutscene. Glide back down and talk to the repairman inside the tower, he will fix the console for you, then interact with it to activate the tower.
#6 – Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower
This is located in the northeast of the map, in Eldin region. The tower is on a mountain. To reach it, go up the mountain slope south of the tower. When you arrive at the tower, you can talk to the character at the gate. He tells you rubble fell out of the sky and hit the top of the tower, this impact also blocked the door. Look in the sky slightly east of the tower. Wait until you see a piece of debris falling down the sky, it will leave behind a green trail. When this falls to the ground, go to where it landed and climb the debris. Then cast Recall ability on it. This will raise the debris back up in the sky high above the tower. When it’s high enough you can jump off and glide to the top of the tower. Drop down the opening in the tower’s roof and activate the switch inside. Now the door opens and you can use the launchpad.
#7 – Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower
This tower is in the northeast of the map. The console inside the tower is missing. It’s being carried by the monster flying around the tower. You must shoot down this monster. The easiest method is to attach a Keese Eyeball (Bat Eye) to an arrow, which causes the arrow to automatically home in on the enemy. Hold > > / to combine attach the Keese Eyeball to an arrow and shoot it in the direction of the monster. If you don’t have a Keese Eyeball check if you have another type with homing capabilities, such as Fire Keese Eyeball or Octorok Eyeball. Pick up the dropped console with Ultrahand and put it inside the tower where the console would normally go. Then the repairman at the tower will automatically talk to you and he fixes it. Now you can activate the tower.
#8 – Upland Zorana Skyview Tower
This tower is in the east of the map, in Lanayru region. It’s on a mountain. You can almost entirely glide to it from Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower. Then just for the last bit you need to climb some rock walls. When you reach the tower, the gate will be blocked by goo. Grab Splash Fruit from the small trees surrounding the tower. Open Inventory > select Splash Fruit > Hold > press to return to game > to place it near the goo. Melee attack the Splash Fruit and it will release water that melts away the goo. Now you can open the gate and activate the tower. While you’re here, also do Side Quest: Mired in Muck, from the guy stuck in the goo directly in front of the tower.
#9 – Hyrule Field Skyview Tower
Found south of Lookout Landing. On a hill surrounded by wooden spikes. There’s only one way up, by taking the wooden staircase east of the skyview tower. Make a manual save before heading up. This area is an enemy stronghold, there are plenty of strong enemies on the path but you can run past all of them. Two enemies are on the staircase. Run to the top, there will be some explosive barrels and a big spiked ball will roll down the bridge. Quickly jump down one deck so that the explosion doesn’t hurt you when the ball rolls through it. Then 3 enemies will come down the bridge, but you can run past them. If they are grouping up you can back away for a while until they retreat to their original position. After running past them the tower is in front of you. Press to open the gate and quickly interact with the pedestal and launchpad before the enemies catch up to you. You can of course also fight the enemies if you like.
#10 – Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower
This tower is in the east of the map. There will be a bird-type character in front of the tower. He tells you the gate to the tower is closed. You must drop down and enter the cave below the tower (“Sahasra Slope Cave”). There are two entrances, around the cliffs directly surrounding the tower, for example at map coordinates 1320, -1142, 0134. Go inside and you will see lots of brown rocks. Fuse a weapon with a boulder to create a hammer that can smash those rocks. You can find weapons and boulders here in the cave. Now instead of digging straight ahead, you have to dig to the side, towards where the skyview tower icon is on the map. Dig through to map coordinates 1340, -1181, 0131. You will reach a room with 3 big white stones. If you reach a room with enemies you went the wrong way and must dig in the other direction. When you reach the 3 white stones you will be directly underneath the tower. Use Ascend ability to teleport through the ceiling and into the tower. Use Ultrahand to remove the two sticks next to the sliding door, then you can open the door and the repairman will fix the console. Now you can activate the tower.
#11 – Popla Foothills Skyview Tower
This tower is in the south of the map. The console in this tower is broken. To repair it, you must free the repairman in the cave below the tower. Drop down the cliffs south of the tower. There you find the cave entrance at map coordinates: 0605, -2226, 0051 (cave is called “Popla Foothills Excavation Site”). It’s only few meters/yards away from the tower, straight down the cliffs. Head inside, stand on the floor plate at the locked gate in front of the repairman. He will say thanks for freeing him, then the screen fades to black and he disappears. Go back up to the tower (can use Ascend to beam through the cave ceiling). The repairman will stand beside the tower and the console is repaired and ready for activation!
#12 – Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower
This tower is found in the southeast of the map. When you arrive, there will be thorns all around the tower. You must burn them with fire. To make fire you can attach Fire Fruit to your arrows (aim bow with > press and / to select Fire Fruit). Alternatively, can place a flint+wood on the floor and hit the flint with a sharp melee weapon to make a fire. The trouble is that it’s always raining around this tower, which extinguishes any fire before it can burn the thorns. The trick is to burn the thorns under roofs, those don’t get wet. When directly in front of the tower, burn the ones under the small roofs to enter the courtyard in front of the tower. The door to the tower is also covered by thorns and those don’t have a roof. Luckily, there are two building stations here with lots of wooden planks. Pick 3 of the biggest planks and stick them together to one very long plank. Use Ultrahand ability to place this over the tower entrance, from one scaffolding to the other. This will block the rain, now you can burn the thorns. Then open the door and activate the console inside.
#13 – Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower
This tower is in the southeast of the map. Take the road up the mountain, it goes in a spiral around the mountain. At the very top is the tower. This is a cold region. Bring some meals that protect from cold, such as cooked Spicy Peppers (can be found on Great Sky Island, at Pit Cave entrance). The tower can simply be entered and activated, it doesn’t have a puzzle.
#14 – Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower
This tower is in the southwest of the map. However, this tower’s console is broken. The repairman is on the elevator in front of the tower, down the cliff. You can talk to him and he’ll say you must attach some counterweights on the hook at the top to raise the elevator. To the left of the tower are some square-shaped blocks. Use Ultrahand to attach 3 of them on the metal hook on the scaffolding directly in front of the tower. In Ultrahand you can hold and to push the block far enough. After sticking 3 blocks together they will be heavy enough to raise the elevator. Talk to the repairman on the elevator and he’ll fix the tower for you.
#15 – Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower
This tower is in the southwest, in a snowy region. You will need some meals that keep you warm, e.g. from cooking Spicy Peppers. When you arrive at the tower, the entrance will be buried under the snow. Stand at the tower and look north to see a cave entrance, just a few meters/yards away. Enter this cave (called “Meadela’s Mantle Cave”). Inside the cave is a river, swim down the river all the way to the end. After dropping down a waterfall you will see a wooden plank in the water. Use Ultrahand ability to place it sideways at the wooden pillars in the water. Then stand on the wooden plank and use Ascend ability to beam up into the tower. Use the console to activate it.
