Melody of the Valley is a side mission in Arknights Endfield. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Melody of the Valley side quest. Melody of the Valley is the first quest in the quest chain “Letter From a Messenger”.
- Starting Location: Valley IV > The Hub
- Requirement: Reach Hub Base and complete Main Mission 29 “Conference of the Four”
- Reward: T-Creds x4,550, Advanced Combat Record x2, Protoprism x9, Arms INSP Set x1, EXP x200
- Quest Description: Having largely recovered, Gilberta sends you a message asking if you can help her out with something small. You agree to help and meet her at the appointed location.
Objectives:
- Read Gilberta’s message
- Meet up with Gilberta
- Take the first package from Gilberta
- Delivery Challenge 1: Deliver the package of food to the recipient (do not exceed time limit)
- Take the second package from Gilberta
- Deliver the package of precious parts to Andre (avoid combat)
- Take the third package from Gilberta
- Delivery Package 3: Deliver the package of meds to the medical staff (do not jump or dash)
Starting Location: The Hub / Read Gilberta’s message
Open the Baker. You can do this by either tracking the quest and then pressing 
or you can hold 
and aim the Right Joystick to the bottom right.
Select the chat where she shows you the inside of a bakery. Go through her dialogue and then back out of the menu.
Meet up with Gilberta
Teleport to the Hub Base in Valley IV.
Approach her as she floats among some boxes.
Take the first package from Gilberta
Interact with Gilberta again.
This prompts a dialogue choice. You must choose “Alright. Let’s go. (Start TIMER).” This activates “Delivery Package 1.”
Delivery Challenge 1: Deliver the package of food to the recipient (do not exceed time limit)
The challenge gives you plenty of time. There are also speed boosts along the way, which makes this not much of a challenge at all.
Follow this map to reach the destination.
Head east through the base until you come back outside.
Then, turn right and go up a ramp.
Turn right again and then take a sharp left. Follow the wall and then take a right.
There, you find the recipient. Interact with the recipient to complete “Delivery Package 1.”
Take the second package from Gilberta
Head back to Gilberta and interact with her again.
This prompts a dialogue choice. You must choose “Alright. Let’s go. (Start TIMER).” This activates “Delivery Package 2.”
Delivery Package 2: Deliver the package of precious parts to Andre (avoid combat)
This one is a little more challenging but still very doable. The destination is just south of the Core AIC Area. Unfortunately, you cannot teleport during this challenge. Just make sure to sprint using Circle.
Just jump off the ledge to the west. Follow this route. It goes along established pathways, and there are no enemies along this path.
Interact with Andre when you arrive. This completes “Delivery Package 2.”
Take the third package from Gilberta
Head back to Gilberta and interact with her.
This prompts a dialogue choice. You must choose “Alright. Let’s go. (Start TIMER).” This activates “Delivery Package 3.”
Delivery Package 3: Deliver the package of meds to the medical staff (do not jump or dash)
You cannot press 
or 
to complete this delivery. This means you must use normal jogging speed and not sprint or jump.
The timer gets to about 15 or 10 seconds remaining when you reach Miguel. Thankfully, the path is very straightforward.
Follow this path. Interact with Miguel when you reach him.
This finishes Melody of the Valley side quest in Arknights Endfield.
