Introduction
Welcome to the Code Vein 2 Trophy Guide! Code Vein 2 is an open world game with a similar map structure to Elden Ring. For platinum you will need to unlock the 3 Endings, which are effectively all automatic story trophies. The endings happen in a predetermined order within a single playthrough. The first ending is always the default ending for all players no matter what you do. Then you click “Continue” in the main menu and receive the objectives to reach the second ending. After the second ending you click “Rescue Lou” in the main menu and the game keeps going until you reach the third ending, for which you must complete all Timeline Decision Missions. For collectibles you only need to find all Hot Springs and destroy all Map Jammers. For upgrades you only need to reach maximum level with one of each item: Weapon, Jail, Forma, Blood Code, Regeneration, Affinity with a Partner. Many other trophies are for doing something for the first time and will come naturally.
Step 1: All Collectibles + A Hero’s End Ending
You’ll want to play up until you’ve unlocked the A Hero’s End ending. The way endings work in this game is that they’re earned in a predetermined order one after another in the same playthrough, so it doesn’t require save scumming or pre-planning. Because of this, you can play at your own pace and there’s nothing to watch out for. The 3 endings are all “automatic” story trophies and nothing is missable. After the first ending you keep playing and do the objectives for the second ending, then you can do the last ending.
For
Irreplaceable (max affinity with a partner), stick with the same partner until you earn this trophy. Do open world exploration with that partner, give gifts, and do their requests. Josée is a good choice as you unlock her early on and can use her for quite a few areas throughout the game.
Complete all the Timeline Decision Missions to save all the heroes because these are required for the Miraculous Bonds ending later. While you can go back to do them later, it’s more efficient to work on these as you play through the game. You can refer to their trophies below for how to start and complete the Timeline Decision missions in order of appearance:
A Bridge to the Future – Saving Noah on MagMell.
An Undying Vow – Saving Lyle in the Corroded Scar.
Life in Full Bloom – Saving Holly in the Undead Forest.
A Place of Memories – Saving Josée in the Sunken City.
You’ll also want to grab all the Regeneration Upgrades (Golden Nectar, Golden Blood Beads), Map Jammers, and Hot Springs as well as any miscellaneous trophy as you progress through the game. You can also work on Requests from a Friend missions for useful upgrades, but the only one required for a trophy is “Requests from a Friend: Holly“, and whichever one you choose for your partner to unlock
Irreplaceable.
Step 2: Luna Fraterna Ending
After clearing Ending 1: A Hero’s End, you’ll get booted back to the main menu. You’ll notice something a little different about the menu now however. Choosing “Continue” will play some scenes and you’ll be able to work on the next ending. Just follow the bond to 2207: The Upheaval Era. This ending will then unlock after defeating the boss at the top of the Sealing Spire.
Step 3: Miraculous Bonds Ending
After having changed the past to save all 4 heroes (did the 4 Timeline Decisions Missions) and then clearing the Luna Fraterna ending , you’ll see a new “Rescue Lou” option on the menu, which will put you on this ending. Choose this and simply complete this mode to get the last ending.
Afterward you can still go back to your save before the final boss of the Luna Fraterna ending by choosing the Load option at the bottom of the main menu. If you have any cleanup left you can do it from that save.

In Your Hands Obtained a blood code of the highest rank. |
|
| In order to get a blood code of the highest rank, you’ll need to get the last blood code in a partner’s blood code line. The easiest partner to do this with is Lycoris as she only has 2 blood codes, so you only need to max out her first one. If you do this with her, make sure to get it done before clearing the Undead Forest as you lose access to her afterwards. | ||

Irreplaceable Achieved maximum affinity with a partner. |

The Tie That Binds Triggered a conditional trait for the first time. |
|
| Conditional traits will vary based on which Blood Code you have equipped. It can range from not being overburdened or having specific margins for your stats. You can unlock the trophy as soon as you get Noah’s Blood Code near the start of the game and try equipping. | ||
![]() |
The Price of Power Caused overburden for the first time. |
|
| To cause overburden, you’ll need to put on equipment that increases the blue burden bar under your attributes so that it is higher than the attribute itself. Becoming overburdened can yield you specific traits when combined with certain Blood Codes, but can also lower your dodge effectiveness as well as other effects depending on which attribute is under burden. | ||

Adapt Your Arsenal Customized weapon formae for the first time. |
|
At a Mistle (fast travel point), you’ll be able to customize the formae on your weapon. These are basically your weapons skills that you can use by pressing + whichever face button you’ve assigned it to. You can get new formae either by finding them, or buying them. |

Hungry Hungry Hunter Used a Special Drain Attack for the first time. |
|
After staggering an enemy, you’ll see a red circle on the center of them. When you see this symbol, you can press when you’re close enough to use a special drain attack. You can stagger enemies by either attacking them enough, by parrying or blocking their attacks until they become staggered, or doing a stealth attack on an enemy to stun them. |

In Pursuit of Perfection Transformed your first piece of equipment. |
|
| You can talk to Jadwiga sitting by the weapons in the armory in MagMell and she’ll allow you to transform your weapons and defensive formae. In order to transform a weapon, you’ll need a Breath material, and for defensive formae you’ll need to find a Runeleaf material. Both of these items can be found throughout the game in chests, or just randomly on the ground. Transforming a weapon or defensive formae will change its properties, allowing you to fit items more to your current build. | ||

Nice guide, good to see there are no missables too, big W
Trying to get this done before Nioh 3
Kanjosen says
Same here
Mace says
Except you can miss getting lycoris 2 bloodline if you don’t max out the first level before reaching a certain point in the story
PowerPyx says
@Mace the trophy can be completed with any partner’s blood code and is not missable. It’s explained in the guide.
Nikki_boagreis says
Glad it doesn’t have any online trophies, and nothing is missable, and all the endings can be earned in one playthrough.
dark-freefire says
6/10 so this is harder than Code Vein 1?
Kanjosen says
shouldnt be, that one trophy in CV1 where you have to farm like 300 marks of honor was already a pain in the ass. trophies in CV2 seem more straightforward.
Jerry says
Thanks for the guide on day 1! I wonder if there is any recommendation on weapon or skill to make the playthrough easier?
K says
Is the ‘Irreplaceable’ achievement impossible to get after finishing the main story? I can’t give a gift to Noah, who I’ve traveled with the most. As for Jose—my second most-used companion—the achievement won’t trigger even after farming enemies right before the final boss. I’ve completed all quests and have over 1,000 points even after unlocking every item. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
ObsiEez says
You should be able to give Noah gifts in the Free Exploration Era even after finishing the main story. As Josee, I have no idea what the caps are for the hidden experience but you surely would have hit the cap for the gifts if you’ve given her 1,000 points. In her gift shop, do you have her unique weapon unlocked? That would mean you’re close to reaching her max affinity as that is her last gift unlock tier. The higher level the enemy the more experience you get for their affinity.
If you’re really struggling you could always try going into NG+ & speedrun through doing Josee’s requests again incase the request cap is actually higher than the experience you get for completing her requests once, but enemies are buffed up quite a lot going into NG+ & there are no new upgrade unlocks other than just leveling up, so NG+ is a lot more difficult than a NG run
K says
Thanks for the reply. It’s weird, but in my game, Noah just keeps standing next to Valentin after the ending and only says stuff about the future. I can’t even exchange gifts with him.
K says
Thanks for the reply. I ended up starting NG+ and went for Iris since she has the most gift points and her quests are easy. I re-cleared all of her quests, and even though I had 1,500 points left over, I gave her about 100 more eggs and spent hours grinding battles—but it still won’t unlock. I think I’m just going to have to give up on this one.
ObsiEez says
Yeah sadly the affinity trophy is extremely annoying & you honestly have no real idea which activity is “capped” & how much more you need for other activities. It really should have been a visible experience bar so players could avoid issues like this where they’re just completely at a loss of how to progress the trophy because they have no idea how much more they need.
G says
I’m in the same boat. I’ve fed over over 500 eggs and still nothing.
Callan says
I think some trophies are bugged, I beat Franz the dejected assailant and didnt get the trophy for saving Noah
ObsiEez says
That won’t unlock until after going back to the present & you notice the changes to the world
Mike says
6/10 for what? Nothing is missable, no difficulty options and only one playthrough.
This is clearly not a 6/10.
ObsiEez says
Trophies alone don’t make up the difficulty rating, that actual difficulty of the game itself does
Roads says
I think saving Noah is missable! The time travel warp leading to the Franz fight disappears after a certain point. I think you need to save Noah before ending the game. I don’t know the exact cutoff point. I was saving Noah for when I was doing the true hero boss fights and when I returned to the tower Lou made a comment saying their actions affected it and made it disappear. If Noah is missable then ending 3 is missable too. I have to load an old save
ObsiEez says
Judging from other peoples timestamps. some have changed the past in MagMell after earning the 2nd ending. Are you able to see the bond on the map to travel to that period or on the Mistle list?
Shura says
” Beyond Limits
Unlocked an extra booster slot.” is missable if you do 3rd Ending before doing Holly quests
ObsiEez says
In which way? The 3rd ending is its own separate selection so its impact & progression don’t transfer back over to your playthrough.
Mana says
Yes, Holly’s quests are not missable. Even if you complete her full narrative arc and close her bond to the past before Ending 1, you can still access the “Free Exploration Era” on Magmell Island. From there, you can complete her quests.
Matthew says
Cairn trophy guide please??
Michael says
I got all the Blood Beads and didn’t get the Trophy for maxing the Restoration
Eindrid says
You need all the nectars as well
ObsiEez says
You need to collect all Blood Beads & all Golden Nectar, then level up the restoration to their maximum levels at a mistle before it unlocks.
Mace says
The lycoris 2 bloodline is missable… change your info. If you don’t max out her first bloodline before completing Holly’s second Dairy Quest it’s missable forever
ObsiEez says
The trophy already states that you can be done with any partners bloodline & that Lycoris becomes missable after completing the Undead Forest. Lycoris is mentioned by name specifically simply because it’s the easiest one to finish the trophy with since it’s only 2 blood codes.
TTG says
Please note that for Irreplaceable, affinity DOES carry over into NG+.
Also, there’s a point of no return at the end of the game for several NPC’s and the ability to gift them items. This cucked me in getting Noah and Irreplaceable until NG+.
CheekyKunt says
Got 100% achievements on PC at exactly 60 hours. First time PowerPyx’s approximate time exactly matches mine lol.
