Introduction
Welcome to The Blood of Dawnwalker Trophy Guide! The Blood of Dawnwalker is from the new studio Rebel Wolves, who is lead by one of the directors that worked on The Witcher 3. Dawnwalker is a somewhat similar style of game, but with a much heavier emphasis on open progression and the ability to make very granular choices within the story and dialogue. Combat-wise, the game uses a directional attacking and blocking system similar to Kingdom Come Deliverance, but much faster and not meant to be as punishing. The game also features an in-game time system, where every day is divided into 16 blocks of time (8 during the day and 8 at night). Everything you do in the game such as completing quests and purchasing upgrades takes varying blocks of time, which progresses the in-game clock. Time doesn’t advance automatically, it’s spent like a currency on completing quests, buying skills, and making dialogue choices. The main goal is to complete the story in under 30 days to save Coen’s family for
In the Nick of Time. After doing the endings you can go over the 30 day time limit to continue playing and still complete all side activities.
Trophy-wise the game requires you to complete all endings, which can be done in a single playthrough by reloading the save before the final quest. You must complete at least one of the “full” endings playing on Duelist difficulty from the start, but after doing one ending you can drop the difficulty to clean up everything else.
Missables Note: Avoid killing non-hostile NPCs/Quest Givers so you don’t lock yourself out of their quests (killing enemies is fine). It’s HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to keep plenty of MANUAL SAVES throughout the game (54 save slots). Save in a different manual slot every in-game day, after the Prologue, before/after the main bosses, before the final boss etc. If you accidentally locked yourself out of anything, you will always have a save to clean up trophies later. This way nothing is truly missable. Use QUICKSAVES before combat encounters and while free-roaming, the game doesn’t autosave in free-roam and you could lose a lot of progress if you die without saving.
Step 1: Start on Duelist Difficulty and Complete Prologue
Your first step should be to start on Duelist difficulty and complete the Prologue until you reach the open world. During the Prologue quest Withering Away, make the correct medicine for Esme (your mother) by using hot water and three spoonfuls of herbs. If you don’t complete this quest before time runs out, she will die.
If you need any quest help refer to The Blood of Dawnwalker Walkthrough.
Step 2: Visit Towers to unfog Map Icons, Complete Open World Activities to Level Up
After the Prologue, you will have full access to the open world and all main- and side content is immediately accessible. You will still be pretty weak, and should spend some time leveling up to make Duelist easier.
- First, buy the skills “Shapeshift” (Vampirism) and “Mercurial Fervor” (Witchcraft). They are the skills in the bottom right of the skill trees and let you run much faster. There are no rideable mounts in the game, instead you can transform into a wolf at night to run at high speed.
- At night, climb the
11 Towers. They will mark all points of interest on the map with question marks (“?” icons). At night because you’ll have full access to your vampirism skills, especially Shadowstep which lets you climb up walls. - Go around and complete the points of interest to level up. These are things like
Monster Lairs,
Persons in Danger,
Soldier Camps,
Bandit Camps,
Ancient Circles. Focus on the activities in the northern half of the map. The further south you go, the harder the enemies will be. The level ranges are indicated by colored skull icons on the map, red skulls mean they are too difficult for your level.
Around level 20 you should be strong enough to run around the whole map without being killed instantly. Remember to Quicksave before any combat encounter. Stay below 15 days in-game time during this step, you’ll need to set aside enough days for the story in the next step.
Step 3: Finish Court Activities (Story Objectives), Defeat the 3 Main Bosses
The Story goal is to save your family from Brencis within 30 in-game days. You do this by completing the Court Activities from the 3 main bosses (Ambrus, Bakir, Xanthe). After defeating all 3 bosses you receive the ending quest.
Each Court Activity advances time by a little bit. You have to do roughly 75% of the Court Activities to raise the anger level of the bosses to the maximum, then you get their boss fight quest. Finishing the story takes roughly 10 in-game days. You can track your progress in the “Court” menu (available after Prologue).
Refer to The Blood of Dawnwalker Walkthrough for all Court Activity Locations. They aren’t marked on the map so it can be a bit confusing where to go. What decisions you make during the 3 boss questlines doesn’t impact the ending trophies.
One trophy to watch out for is
Together Forever which is missable during the Xanthe activity “Home Sweet Home”. It’s very difficult on Duelist, so it’s better to ignore it for now. After finishing the story on Duelist you can lower the difficulty and do it on the lowest difficulty.
Step 4: Make Manual Save, Complete The Turncoat Ending to Finish Duelist Difficulty
After defeating the 3 main bosses, you should be at maximum infamy. Skip time until the next day to get the cutscene where the Infamy Edicts are being read out, then you will get a message from Brencis that he wants to parley with you. This triggers the final quest “A Deal with the Devil”. Make a manual save before the final quest and don’t overwrite it, you will reload this save later for the other endings.
For your first ending, agree to Brencis’s deal to betray your allies for The Turncoat ending. This lets you skip the final boss fight, which is the easiest choice on Duelist.
Step 5: Reload Manual Save, Reduce Difficulty and Complete Other Endings
After the ending, reload the save from before the final quest. Now that you got the Duelist trophy, you can lower the difficulty to “Story” to make the cleanup easier.
Refer to the Endings Guide to trigger all Ending trophies. You’ll need to do the side questlines of Lacra and Crake to set up their endings.
Step 6: Reach Level 50, Save up Skill Points to buy Ultimate Perks
The main trophy that remains is reaching level 50. Reload your save before the endings and clean up all side content to reach level 50. You can keep playing past the 30 day limit, the side content will remain available.
Save up enough Skill Points to unlock the trophies
Master of Arms and
Arch Warlock. It’s not possible to earn enough Skills Points in a single playthrough to fully upgrade every single Perk and Ability. It costs a total of 39 Skill Points to acquire an Ultimate Perk (35 on the skills + 4 for the Ultimate Perk itself). You will already have a bunch of skills unlocked at this point. When you have enough points, make a manual save, buy everything in one skill tree, reload save and spend the points on the other skill tree.

Selfish Sell fish to a fishmonger. |
![]() |
| This trophy is awarded for selling a fish consumables to a fishmonger vendor. There is only one fishmonger in the game, located in the market area of Svartrau City during the day. On the map she is only marked as a “Food Vendor”, but when you go to interact with her, she is described as a “Fishmonger” in the interact prompt. You can then buy a Dried Fish from her and sell it back immediately to earn the trophy. | ||

Throne of Thorns Reach peak Infamy in Vale Sangora. |
![]() |
| This trophy is awarded for reaching maximum Infamy level as displayed in the Court menu, which is level 9. Infamy is increased by completing the various Court Activities, Soldier Camps, and defeating the 3 boyars (main bosses). Each Infamy level comes with negative Edicts, such as more enemy patrols and increased prices at vendors.
You will reach maximum Infamy while working on other trophies, as you need to complete court activities to fight each of the three main bosses. After you’ve defeated all 3 main bosses you should automatically be at maximum Infamy, so this is almost an automatic story trophy. Each main boss gives a full infamy level increase. There are more Court Activities than needed to reach maximum infamy, you only need around 75% of them. |

Uphill Battle Complete the entire game by saving the people of Laslea on Duelist Difficulty preset. |
![]() |
| MISSABLE
This trophy is awarded for completing at least one full ending of the game while playing on the Duelist difficulty setting. Duelist is the highest preset difficulty, with the most notable change being that the game removes the visual indicator for enemy attacks when to block, so you must close watch the enemy’s movement to determine from which direction you need to block. Enemies deal a lot of damage but also have slightly reduced health, so fights aren’t super drawn out, but you can die very quickly if you miss blocks during combat. You can also dodge instead of blocking. You can complete the platinum on one playthrough by starting on Duelist. The most difficult part of the game is the very start, due to your limited resources and abilities starting out, along with needing to learn the mechanics without any of the assists. Once you finish the Prologue and reach the open world you should spend some time completing the open world locations to level up. Go to all You have 30 in-game days to complete the story, but the Main Quests only take around 7-10 days, so you have 20 days to spend on side content to level up. You won’t be able to do the higher level regions right away because the enemies will be too strong and kill you in one hit (they have red skull icons to indicate they are outside your level range). If you encounter enemies with red skull icons you’ll want to spend more time leveling up. For the higher level regions you’ll want to be Level 25+. You should also prioritize The Turncoat ending, which lets you completely skip the final area of the game and doesn’t require you to kill Brencis for the ending. This means you effectively just need to deal with the three main bosses, and then can trigger the ending immediately without fighting the final boss. Once you have the trophy you can lower the difficulty for cleaning up the other endings. |

Better Safe than Sorry Behead an enemy with Artery Strike while they’re also hexed with Burning Blood. |
![]() |
| This trophy requires that you to behead an enemy using the “Artery Strike” ability, while being affected by the Witchcraft ability “Burning Blood”. Once you gain access to Witchcraft at the end of the Prologue, you start with Burning Blood unlocked, but Artery Strike must first be unlocked by finding Manuals for it.
You can buy 2 Artery Strike manuals from Swordmastery Teacher: Catalin’s Tutor, and 1 from Swordmastery Teacher: Ocha. The initial decapitation chance on Artery Strike is only 10%, so upgrading by obtaining more than 1 Manual is recommended, as at max level you can guarantee the decapitation if you have an enemy afflicted with Bleed before using Artery Strike. |
||
![]() |
Make It Rain Cause an enemy to explode using an Active Ability. |
![]() |
| This trophy requires you to use the Vampirism ability “Blood Surge” to cause an enemy to explode. This is the only active ability that functions this way even though the trophy wording implies there may be more than one. To unlock it, you must first consume Xanthe’s blood to be able to purchase the ability. This can be done either by choosing to drink Xanthe’s blood after defeating her in her boss fight (she’s a story boss), or if you choose not to do that you need to find her blood as a consumable.
To find the consumable, you need to enter the large cathedral in Svartrau City. You should do this at night as you can climb up the walls to enter the tower of the cathedral and avoid the enemies. Then on the ground floor in the north corner is a storage room where there is a book on the table you can inspect. On the back you can obtain the Treasury Key item. You then need to go to the treasury building, which is the square building on the north side of the courtyard. Inside the building go up the stairs to the side room, where you can loot the golden chest to obtain the Phial of Xanthe’s Blood. Consume it from your inventory to allow you to unlock Blood Surge. Once you have the ability unlocked through either method, make sure to equip it in an active slot, then use it against any enemy who does not have a skull icon to cause them to explode, unlocking the trophy. |

Absolutely Insatiable Have 3 Passive Abilities equipped at the same time. |
![]() |
| This trophy is awarded for having any 3 Passive Abilities equipped in your active ability slots at the same time. Passive abilities are the ones that don’t have a white fill on their icon, and aren’t equipped to quick slots. Mercurial Fervour and Shapeshift both seem to count when they are unlocked and take up their own specific slots within the Active Abilities menu, so you effectively just need to unlock and equip one other Passive ability in one of your Active Ability slots. | ||

Arbiter’s Blade Restore St Mihai’s sword to its former glory. |
![]() |
| MISSABLE
This trophy is awarded for completing the “Forge it Anew” series of quests to unlock the Legendary Greatsword “Imbued Sword of St. Mihai”. You are automatically prompted to start this quest when you find any 1 of the 3 blade pieces. Forge it Anew: Do Not Disturb Forge it Anew: Hostile Takeover Forge it Anew: Executive Order After obtaining all three shards you will also need to obtain the hilt. To do this, you first need to complete the quest Night Terrors located in Svartrau City at night. This will allow you to enter an underground area where you can fight a boss to obtain the hilt of the sword. After obtaining the hilt and all three shards, you can return to the Uriash Blacksmith in northwest Briar Sloughs and have him make the sword, then complete a series of fights to finish the sword, completing the quest and obtaining the trophy. |

Arbiter’s Regalia Gather all the parts of the Arbiter’s set of armour and unlock their full potential. |
![]() |
| MISSABLE
This trophy is awarded for completing “A Bulwark Against Darkness” quest, and unlocking the Legendary Armour set “Enhanced Armour of the Arbiter”. At some point after reaching Infamy Level 4, a character will randomly spawn and give you a letter to start this quest. It’s a bit random when you get the letter but you are guaranteed to get it automatically on your way to finishing the story. None of the armor pieces are marked by the quest objective, so you need to obtain them on your own. Large Lizard Moult This is found in a cave along the line between Briar Sloughs and Maragir Wealds, directly south of the Witchcraft Vendor (the entrance is the blue circle in the second map image). Amulet Relic The relic can be one of two items, the “Relic of St. Tyna” or “Relic of St. Dasius”. Relic of St. Tyna can be obtained during the Anca quest “Echoes of Silenced Bells” when you are inside St. Tyna’s Convent. It is possible to give away this relic during the optional quest “Most Precious Thing”, in which case you will need to use the Relic of St. Dasius. You can obtain multiple of these in the game, but you can obtain a guaranteed one inside Xanthe’s mansion Howling Keep. This is first accessible during Xanthe’s main quest “The Cycle of Love” (the boss quest where you go to fight her). In one of the rooms that you can open with a lantern. From where you first enter Xanthe’s manor it’s the room in the top right of the courtyard, accessible after getting the lanterns from the other rooms. Flask of Quicksilver This item can be obtained at the top of Silts Tower, after completing the quest “Home Sweet Home”. Go through the inside of the tower and reach the top floor, interact with the door and open it (costs 4 time segments). Then you’re in a flashback of the prologue. Fight through the enemies and beat the Gargoyle boss at the end. Then you respawn in your house again. At the second group of enemies inspect the well in focus mode (L2), then escape through the cave to enter the church. Here you must help the priest remember what happened by interacting with the people in correct order in Focus Mode: Alin > Esme > Coen > the locked door in church opens, leading to another portal. Then inspect the red glowing tree stump, clawride down to the river and finish the conversation. After this you respawn in the open world. Go into the room at the top of the tower that you were stopped from entering by being forced into the dream, and the item is on a table inside. Silk Threads This item first requires completing the Sanzhani related quest Pearly and Precious to allow you to access the Sanzhani Merchant. You can then purchase the Silk Threads from her for 6,500 coins. After you have obtained all 4 items, you can return to the Uriash Blacksmith in northwest Briar Sloughs and have them make the armour to complete the quest and obtain the trophy. |

Feral Hunger Lose control and drain someone outside of combat. |
![]() |
| This trophy is awarded for having Coen lose control during a dialogue and automatically drain another character’s blood while interacting with them at night. It won’t work during day while in human form. This requires you to be at one or less segments of the vampire health bar, with it having a higher chance the lower your health is. When it occurs it will happen immediately when you try to enter dialogue with a character, not during other dialogue choices, so you can try to earn it by the entering and exiting dialogue with someone over and over.
If you unlock the Closing Wounds perk in the Vampirism skills then it seems like this is very unlikely to happen, as you will always heal up to the closest full segment of health. If you need to reload an earlier save you can do this right at the start of the game after you gain access to the open world. Get into a fight and allow enemies to drop your health to around half of the first health segment, then run to a Tavern such as in the town of Parlita or The Pewter Tankard which is directly northeast of Svartrau City. Interact with the Innkeeper until you drain them at the start of dialogue, unlocking the trophy. |

Master of Arms Unlock an Ultimate Perk in the Swordmastery tree. |
![]() |
| MISSABLE
This trophy is awarded for unlocking one of the Ultimate Perks in the Swordmastery Tree. Both the Swordmastery and Witchcraft skill trees require you to spend at least 35 skill points on Perks in the corresponding tree to make the Ultimate Perk available for purchase. You can then only obtain 1 of the 3 possible Ultimate Perks for each skill tree, which will unlock the trophy. You can see how many more Skill Points are required to be spent with the total on the bottom right. Note that points put into the abilities do not count toward the 35, only those put into Perks. These trophies are missable as you are not able to obtain enough skill points during a playthrough to obtain every possible perk and upgrade them to the maximum amount. Because of this, after you have achieved the Duelist trophy, you should purposely save Skill Points to have enough to reach 35 used in each tree, plus the 4 required to unlock an Ultimate Perk. Make a save before upgrading and put points in to unlock the perk, then reload the save and repeat with the other skill tree. |

Creature of the Night Unlock an Ultimate Perk in the Vampirism tree. |
![]() |
| MISSABLE
This trophy is awarded for unlocking one of the perks in the Vampirism skill tree. Unlike with Swordmastery and Witchcraft, you aren’t required to spend a minimum number of points in the Vampirism Perks to unlock an Ultimate Perk, you just need to hit Corruption level 15, which is the maximum. Corruption level increases by drinking blood, either through consumables or directly from humans or enemies. As your Corruption level increases you can unlock further upgrades in the skill tree, with all of them and the Ultimate Perk being available at level 15. Corruption level can be somewhat farmed by biting animals or enemies, it even counts while you’re at full health. As long as you remember to actively bite enemies during combat (using the active ability “Voracious Bite”) and use it to heal then you will likely hit Corruption level 15 around halfway through your playthrough, if not sooner. |

Glass Ceiling Reach Level 50. |
![]() |
| This trophy is awarded for reaching character level 50, which is the maximum level. Because of how leveling in the game works and the fact that all activities within the game cost time segments, you are very unlikely to reach level 50 within the 30 days you are given to finish the story. After you got the ending trophies, you can go over the 30 day time limit and continue playing. After you got the ending trophies you can complete whichever activities you want. Completing quests and court activities is the best way to level, as you receive larger amounts of XP than just killing random enemies or completing activities like Bandit or Soldier camps. Overall this will likely be your last trophy and you need to finish pretty much all content, but you can also kill random enemies for XP if you run out of things to do. | ||

At night you can use Planeshift and Shadowstep to climb the wall of the canyon, reaching the path that leads to the gate. Enter and choose “[leave the valley forever]” to trigger a secret ending. You can go there any time after the Prologue when you’ve reached the open world.

This is awarded for successfully performing perfect block 5 times in a row. When playing on any difficulty below Duelist, this corresponds to the shield icon in the center of the enemy turning orange which demonstrates the correct timing. If you are making sure to sell junk and old items to vendors to clean out your inventory you are likely to earn this very early in your playthrough, and will accumulate much more than this over the course of the game. You’ll get more than enough money while going for other trophies, just remember to save up the money until you earned this trophy.

Together Forever Stay with your family. It’s safe if you stick together. You’ll never lose them again. Ever. |
![]() |
| MISSABLE
This is one of the secret “early endings”. You need to do a hidden quest “Home Sweet Home” which is a flashback of the game’s prologue. You need to defeat 2 groups of enemies and a boss. Each time you do this, it resets you to the start. Repeat this 4 times total, then on the 5th time you will trigger this trophy. Step 1: Go through the inside of Silts Tower in the very south of the map, interact with the door on the top floor, pick the option “[open the door]“. This starts the quest “Home Sweet Home”. Step 2: After interacting with the door you are forced into a looping dream sequence, where you must run through an area and defeat two groups of enemies, followed by an insect boss. During the sequence after the first loop the game will start pushing you to interact with a well in the area at the second group of enemies which is how you escape and complete the quest, but to reach the ending you must ignore the well and keep running through the loop in the same way defeating the miniboss. After completing 4 cycles (defeating all enemies each time), you talk to your family at the start of the 5th cycle and you’ll stay trapped in the dream with them. If you wish to escape afterward, you can reload the autosave from before beating the boss for the 4th time. Where you fought the 2nd group of enemies, inspect the well with Focus Mode (hold |

The Tsarina’s Favourite Human Complete every task given by the sanzhani. |

| MISSABLE
This trophy is awarded for completing all 5 of the quests related to the Sanzhani. The sanzhani are a race of flying bug-like creatures, and the leader allows you to send letters to Lunka in the castle in exchange for helping them, which corresponds to the Letters to Lunka quest. This quest does not need to be completed for this trophy so it is not affected by the 30-day time limit, but once you complete all five you should still return to the Sanzhani leader at Yawning Burrow in Svartrau Outskirts, as they give you a day back of in-game time for completing all quests. You must complete the quest Good Home before the other four quests become available, the other sanzhani do not appear at the quest locations before the completion of Good Home. The five quests needed to be completed to earn this trophy are: |

Antique Aficionado Discover Ancient Ruins. |
![]() |
| This trophy is awarded for entering Ancient Ruins for the first time. Throughout Vale Sangora there are numerous areas of ancient ruins which can be entered or explored. You are more than likely to enter them without going out of your way while completing quests or the story. The earliest possible time that you can enter them is in the quest Deep Down that is available in Laslea right from the start of the game during the prologue.
You can also earn it during Xanthe’s Excavations court activities, for example Xanthe’s Excavations: Unsealed Secrets. There you will find a hole in a hill you can squeeze through, which is needed to complete Xanthe’s activity. |

Smuggler Earn 1000 denarii selling silver. |
![]() |
| MISSABLE
This trophy is awarded for earning a cumulative total of 1000 denarri (money) while selling silver. There is only one silver trader in the game, located in the main city of Svartrau. You need “Notorious” Infamy (Infamy Level 4 or above) for him to trade with you. Do Court Activities to raise your Infamy. At “Insignificant” Infamy (Level 1-3) he will refuse to do business with you. Your Infamy Level can be seen at the bottom of the Court menu. Silver items can be found as loot throughout the game and sell for a decent amount of money, so you can earn this relatively early in the game as long as you are holding on to any Silver items you find. You can place them in storage to sell later if you find they are taking up too much space. This trophy is technically missable, because if you were to kill the silver trader intentionally, then you’d have nobody to sell silver to. This should also be done before reaching Infamy 9 because the gates to Svartrau City will become shut and all guards attack you on sight. |

When playing on any difficulty below Duelist, this corresponds to the shield icon in the center of the enemy turning orange which demonstrates the correct timing. If you don’t end up earning this during normal gameplay, you can drop the difficulty to Story which causes enemy attacks to be slower and makes the window for perfect block slightly larger.
