The Cursed Chasm is a side quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Cursed Chasm side mission.

- Quest Description: Many spine-tingling stories have been told about the mountains surrounding Vale Sangora. One of them concerns Knyaz Skender’s lost treasure, rumored to remain somewhere near a certain broken bridge to this day…

Starting Location: The Cursed Chasm
Approaching the bridge where it has broken away, or the wreckage at the bottom of the chasm will trigger the start of this quest.

Investigating the cart at the top of the bridge will produce Dimitar’s Orders which describe a treasure transport that contained the former Knyaz’s legendary blade Durandal. Head to the east side of the chasm. If you look down over the edge, you’ll see that there is a path that leads down to the chasm floor. Head northwest along the edge of the chasm to find where it connects to the path below.
Keep heading down the path, mindful of the gap that you have to jump over. Don’t worry if you’re headed here during the day, as you can still make the jump uphill with a normal run. Once you reach the bottom, head towards the wreckage beneath the bridge. You will see one item highlighted with a yellow glow, even without using Focus Mode. As you approach, you’ll see a pack of wolves milling about and they will attack you. A short time after you’ve engaged in combat, two normal Vidmo and a blood red Vidmo called Echo will appear and start to attack. If you’re lucky, you can get the Vidmo and wolves attacking each other so that you can concentrate on one enemy at a time. Try to maneuver so that enemies of different types will hit each other with attacks, and it might take some of the heat off of you. Otherwise, the wolves and Vidmo use their normal attack patterns. The Vidmo have an unblockable frenzy that you will have to dodge away from. Echo can also drain your blood at a distance to heal itself if it’s badly injured. If you see blood streaming off your body, drop everything and hit Echo to interrupt the effect.
Once they’ve all been defeated, inspect the skeleton under the glowing gold patch, and read the Final Report.
Find Knyaz Skender’s lost treasure (2 Time Segments)
Use Focus Mode to look at the wreckage and you’ll see a lot of lootable objects, but the relevant one for the quest is the broken wagon remains. Inspect these to find Durandal, a quite powerful legendary sword. Looting the sword triggers 2 time segments to be spent.
Be sure to loot everything before you leave, including the nearby gold barrel that will trigger the quest “Finders Keepers“. Also further down the chasm is Ancient Circle: North-West Pass, which is worth completing while you’re in the area.
