Game Info
Ghost of Yotei takes place 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima in the Ezo region of Japan. Players can explore 6 areas: Yotei Grasslands, Ishikari Plain, Tokachi Range, Nayoro Wilds, Teshio Ridge, Oshima Coast. After the first 5 story quests, the world opens up and quests can be played in any order of your choosing, with the 6th to 8th main quest leading to different areas. Most side content is immediately available upon reaching an area. You can do content as you play through the story or do it all afterward. Nothing is missable and everything remains accessible after the story. A story-focused playthrough on the easiest difficulty ‘casual’ could be done in around 10 hours, then another 10 hours for bounties, 10 hours for other side quests, and around 15-20 hours to fully unfog the map and get all collectibles. The map isn’t as big as it seems at first, as only the map areas that are outlined in yellow when zooming out are explorable. The actually explorable map only covers 20% of the fully fogged map. For the Platinum trophy you need around 85% completion, everything except some side tales, Pillars of the Fallen, Ainu Items, and only 30 of 61 Altars of Reflection. Enjoy the game any way you like and have fun, you can’t do anything wrong.

I love how detailed this guide is, thank you! :D
Hassanka says
I think a quest is missing from the list in Oshima Coast (also from the All Tales walkthrough). It’s a quest with Taro escorting civilians to the castle. “Youth Under Fire” is the quest’s name. I found it while going from the Distant Castle Hot Spring towards the Altar of Reflection under it.
Great guides otherwise, they always help me lot when mopping up trophies!
