Introduction

Welcome to the Ghost of Yotei Most Wanted Mode DLC Trophy Guide! This is a new mode that is essentially a wave-based boss gauntlet, where you can choose from six different bounties which culminate in a battle against one of the Yotei Six bosses from the main game. You can play as four different characters (three need to be unlocked), each of which translates approximately to one of the classes from the online Legends mode. These include Atsu (Mercenary), Oyuki (Shinobi), Nagato (Archer) and Jin (Samurai). Coins earned from your runs can go towards buying new techniques, weapon upgrades, and charms.

The trophies require you to complete all six missions, replay one of the missions on Max Threat level, use each character’s abilities multiple times, and a few miscellaneous tasks. The difficulty and time to 100% is entirely of your choosing. On Casual difficulty you can blast through this DLC in a couple of hours with very little effort; on harder difficulties this will take exponentially longer.

How to access the Most Wanted DLC

The Most Wanted DLC is added to the Main Title screen, no need to have even started the story or load a completed save.

Step 1: Complete all six bounties while unlocking each character’s ability-based trophies [2 Hours]

Work your way through each of the six bounties (representing the Yotei Six), starting with The Spider and ending with Lord Saito. Each mission takes 10-15 minutes. You start off with only Atsu available, but after spending coins on techniques and upgrades you unlock Oyuki, then Nagato and finally Jin. Once you have each character’s ability trophy, swap to the next character to avoid having to replay more later. You should be able to get each one in a single mission. Work on the other miscellaneous trophies here, in particular throwing a Sake jar at each of the Yotei Six.

Step 2: Defeat a Max Threat bounty target and buy a cosmetic with boss tokens

Once you defeat Lord Saito, you unlock the option to replay each mission with Max Threat (five skulls). These give more coins and are not really harder difficulty-wise, just longer as there are more waves/enemies. Pick The Spider if you want the shortest mission, and completing this will give you enough boss tokens to buy a cosmetic for the final trophy.

Ultimate Vengeance
Defeat Lord Saito on any difficulty.
Lord Saito is the final bounty, unlocked after completing the other five. His mission requires you to beat the rest of the Yotei Six in order again (amongst some normal enemy waves) and the boss fight is exactly the same as the main story.
Masterful Payout
Defeat a Max Threat bounty target.
After finishing every mission, the ability to replay them with Max Threat opens up, which grants you more coins and boss tokens upon completion than the regular bounty. Max Threat is enabled by pressing :triangle: on the bounty selection screen. Despite each mission now having 5 skulls, the actual difficulty is still tied to your setting (i.e. Casual/Medium/Lethal). Max Threat just means more waves and enemies in each mission. If you just want the trophy, select the first bounty ‘The Spider’ as it’s the shortest.
Reap the Rewards
Purchase a cosmetic from the vendor using boss tokens.
To obtain boss tokens, you have to replay a bounty once you’ve already completed it. The cheapest cosmetic is ‘The Spider’s Armour’ dye for the Onryo Armour which costs two tokens.

The most convenient way is to combine this with :silver: Masterful Payout to be as efficient as possible, since the minimum boss tokens you get on Max Threat is five from The Spider.

Strength in Numbers
Have three or more allies fighting on your side at the same time.
Summoning wolves as Atsu is by far the best way to earn this trophy. For more information on how to do that, see :bronze: Tooth and Nail.

However, for this trophy you need at least three allies (wolves) and Call of the Wolf only summons two. The easiest way is to upgrade your Spirit to at least four slots (purchase it from Techniques > Global > Survival > Improved Spirit I, II & III) and use Call of the Wolf twice in quick succession (which requires at least three enemies present for them to target). In addition, you can also select perks that summon wolves when you play as Atsu, such as after a certain amount of Perfect Parries or dodges. Summon a wolf via a perk and then hit Call of the Wolf and the trophy should unlock.

Tooth and Nail
Defeat 6 enemies by summoning wolves to attack them when playing as Atsu.
To summon wolves as Atsu, you can use her Call of the Pack ability by pressing :l1: and :r1: . This is unlocked from the start, no need to purchase it. It allows you to summon 2 wolves to attack nearby enemies at the cost of 2 Spirit.

For it to count towards the total, the wolves have to actually kill enemies. To help with this, you can purchase a 50% damage increase from Techniques > Class > Atsu > Call of the Pack Upgrade although it isn’t necessary. Keep spamming the ability once you have enough Spirit and you’ll get it very quickly. You can increase your Spirit slots by purchasing them from Techniques > Global > Survival > Improved Spirit I, II & III and also drink Sake to replenish it instantly.

Call the 13 Assassins
Summon 13 Shadow Shinobi to fight alongside you when playing as Oyuki.
Shadow Shinobi is the special ability used by Oyuki. Once she is unlocked, purchase it from Techniques > Class > Oyuki > Kill Streak: Shadow Shinobi once you have enough coins. It’s also recommended to purchase Kill Streak: Shadow Shinobi II to reduce the kill streak requirement from 5 to 4 to make it easier and use the ability more frequently.

Then, when you’re in a mission, kill enemies while avoiding taking damage and keep spamming the ability with :l3: + :r3: as soon as it’s available. It spawns a Shadow Shinobi to assassinate an enemy and fight on your side for a little while. This way, you should be able to get the trophy in just one mission.

A Blasting Impression
Inflict damage on 30 enemies using Explosive Arrows when playing as Nagato.
Blast Arrow is the special ability used by Nagato. Once he is unlocked, purchase it from Techniques > Class > Nagato > Kill Streak: Blast Arrow once you have enough coins. It’s also recommended to purchase Kill Streak: Blast Arrow II to reduce the kill streak requirement from 4 to 3 to make it easier and use the ability more frequently.

Then, when you’re in a mission, kill enemies while avoiding taking damage and keep spamming the ability with :l3: + :r3: as soon as it’s available. You will automatically equip an Explosive Arrow on your bow, so fire it at enemies to count towards the 30. This should come quicker than the other ability trophies since the kill streak required is lower and you only have to damage enemies rather than kill them with it, and quite often they are bunched up so multiple enemies are counted towards the total. Again, you should be able to get the trophy in just one mission.

The Seven Samurai
Defeat 7 enemies using Ghost Stance when playing as Jin Sakai.
Ghost Stance is the special ability used by Jin Sakai. Once he is unlocked, purchase it from Techniques > Class > Jin Sakai > Kill Streak: Ghost Stance once you have enough coins. It’s also recommended to purchase Kill Streak: Ghost Stance II to reduce the kill streak requirement from 6 to 5 to make it easier and use the ability more frequently.

Then, when you’re in a mission, kill enemies while avoiding taking damage and keep spamming the ability with :l3: + :r3: as soon as it’s available. This is the same Ghost Stance that Jin had in Ghost of Tsushima and that Atsu gets in the main story of Yotei. It automatically lets you kill three enemies (provided they aren’t too far away from each other), so you only need to use this ability three times for the trophy.

Raijin’s Fury
Trigger 10 lightning strikes in a single Hunt.
To trigger lightning strikes, you will need to pick perks that allow you to summon them. You get one perk at the start of a Hunt, and then get to choose a new one after every wave of a mission. Note that this has to be done in a single Hunt (bounty mission) so it might be easier to do it on one of the later missions like The Dragon or Lord Saito as they are longer (have more waves). However, how easy this trophy is depends more on the trigger conditions of the perk. For example, I picked Oyuki and at the start of a Hunt I got a perk which gave me a lightning strike every time I killed a Marked enemy with the kusarigama, which was extremely easy. However, other perks require things like Perfect Parries or a % chance on hitting an enemy with a certain weapon. If you get a good perk that’s lightning-based (and remember you can reroll all perk options once per Hunt with :triangle: ), then it’s best to focus on satisfying its trigger condition as early and frequently as possible, and keep picking lightning strike perks between waves if they come up to give you more options.
Six Pack
Throw a Sake jar at each member of the Yōtei Six.
You start each mission with two Sake jars (it’s possible to start with as many as five by buying upgrades from Weapons > Ammo Capacity Upgrades > Sake, or choosing perks that grant you more on certain conditions). To consume one, hold  to refill your Spirit. When you do so, you will be carrying the empty jar or you can pick it up off the ground too. To throw it without manually aiming, wait until the enemy is close and press :square: .

This trophy requires you to throw a jar at each of the six bosses at the end of each bounty, so it’s recommended to always keep at least one Sake jar for the final wave. However, if you miss one or forget, then the Lord Saito mission makes you face all the other five members first amongst the enemy waves, so you can get any you missed in this mission.

Death Mark
Trigger 47 Bounty Perk effects against Marked enemies.
Marked enemies appear frequently in missions and have a red crosshair above their head. A Bounty Perk effect is a perk that takes effect only when you kill a Marked enemy while satisfying its condition. It’s entirely possible that this trophy could come naturally anyway as there’s a lot of Marked enemies, but if you want to focus on it as early as possible then pick perks that affect Marked enemies, similar to picking lightning ones for :bronze: Raijin’s Fury.

For example, you can pick a perk that drops a Scorch Bomb every time you kill a Marked enemy with a certain weapon, or a perk that drops a Blind Bomb after so many hits on Marked enemies. Therefore, equip that weapon and specifically target the Marked enemies and this will unlock once you’ve done it 47 times.
