Ghost of Yotei Wayward Oni Raiders Bounty Location

Wayward Oni Raiders is a Bounty quest in Ghost of Yotei.  This is only available after having done Bounty: Shiro the Swindler in Ishikari Plain.

Wayward Oni Raiders Starting Location: Oshima Coast > Matsumae Residences Bounty Board

Wayward Oni Raiders Bounty Location: Oshima Coast > Lord Kato’s Estate

First, you must have done the bounty “Shiro the Swindler” in Ishikari Plain. Then you can grab this new bounty poster from the bounty board in Oshima Coast. Afterward, open the map and select the Wayward Oni Raiders bounty. There will now be a yellow objective marker in Matsumae Residences. Follow the wind to the objective, on the southern end of the town. Once you arrive, a man in front of the estate will tell you that Lord Kato isn’t there right now. Talk to that man, then one of the guards will come to tell you the Oni Raiders have been spotted.

The objective marker then updates to the north at Oshima Coast Entrance, it will be marked on the map for you. You can fast travel there. From where you arrive after fast travel, turn around and follow the road north to the yellow objective marker. In front of a locked gate will be a group of Oni Raiders, kill them.

Note that the bounty poster will get crossed off when killing them, but it doesn’t count towards the trophy counter yet. You must complete the rest of the quest for it to count. Return to Lord Kato’s estate, talk to the guy in blue robes standing at the front gate where the objective marker is on the map.

Then interact with the front door of the house to overhear a conversation.

Inside, you will find Shiro the Swindler, who was a bounty in Ishikari Plain (must have done his bounty there before). Now follow Shiro, you’ll have to ride with him to reach a coast with more enemies. Kill them all. After the cutscene you complete the side tale “The New Lord” and you get Shiro’s Straw Hat. Only then the bounty count as “complete” towards the trophy.
