Blood of Dawnwalker The Ring Walkthrough

The Ring is a side quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Ring side mission.

Starting Location: Lunar Manor
Quest Giver: Farkas
Requirement: Complete The Lunar Game, agree to help Farkas find the ring, or pick up the ring on your own
Fail State: None (choosing not to help Farkas or killing him still allows you to take the ring elsewhere)
Reward: 75 XP (when initially finding the ring), 75 XP + Quick Fighter’s Ring (when ring is given to Anca)
Time Required: 1 or 3 Time Segments (dependent on whether you give Farkas the ring or take it somewhere else)
Quest Description: Now that Bakir has been dealt with, there’s the matter of the ring that Farkas asked me to recover from the treasury.

Objectives:

Find the ring with a purple gem
Speak with Farkas
Find someone who might know more about the ring

Starting Location: The Ring

This quest is started automatically after completing The Lunar Game (Bakir’s boss fight quest), whether you agreed to help Farkas or find the purple gem ring on your own in Bakir’s treasury.

Inside the treasure chamber there are a bunch of containers and items that you can loot, but the purple gem ring is in a small chest on a shelf on the north side of the room.

Speak with Farkas

After obtaining the ring you are prompted to speak with Farkas. You have the option of accusing him of looking for a magical item, but if you are in the room with Farkas and have picked up the ring you are forced to acknowledge that you have picked it up. After going through more dialogue you can choose to not give it to him which will cause him to leave, and give you the further objective. If you do give it to him he leaves and the quest is complete. You can then find a non-quest event where you find out that using the ring he accidentally killed his brother, so this is not an overall good outcome.

Find someone who might know more about the ring

If you either told Farkas you weren’t giving him the ring or backed out of the deal earlier, your objective will be to find someone who knows more about the ring.

You can take it to Anca who stays at the Crossroads inn when you aren’t participating in her quests. She won’t explain much about it and offers to destroy it, and in exchange you get an Epic Quick Fighter’s Ring along with completing the quest.
