Blood of Dawnwalker How to Advance Time

September 2, 2026 by PowerPyx Leave a Comment

In The Blood of Dawnwalker, you can skip time as much as you want at any  Shrine (fast travel point). You play as a vampire at night and in human form at day, with different skill sets. At night you use the Vampirism skill tree and at day the Witchcraft skills. Some vendors and quest objectives are also unique to day or night, so it can be good to change the time of day.

Time is spent like a currency in The Blood of Dawnwalker and it doesn’t advance automatically while idling the game. Time only advances when you complete quests, or spend it on certain dialogue choices for favorable outcomes, or when you choose the ‘wait’ option at a shrine.

Generally, you don’t want to waste too much time. The story’s main objective, to save your family, runs on a fixed 30-day timer. If you skip too many days, you might run out of time and fail the story objective. Anything that’s only accessible at day will have a sun icon on the map, and for night a moon icon. Any quest that has a time limit will display the number of days in your journal quest log.
