The Mysterious Island’s Truth begins automatically after completing the Tribal Quest The Riddle of Sea and Sky.

Reward: 200 Tribal EXP, 450 Adventure EXP, 60 Primogems 38,100 Mora, 5 Guide of Contention, 4 Hero’s Wit, 8 Mystic Enhancement Ore, The Cornerstone of Stars and Flames; *If you are Adventure Rank 60, you do not get Adventure EXP. Instead, you receive 4,500 extra Mora. It’s also worth mentioning that the Cornerstone of Stars and Flames currently have no use. Future patches will likely provide a use for them.

Starting Location: Toyac Springs

Go to where Mualani and the others are

Approach Mualani, Karya, and Viramdra at the water’s edge.

The three party members managed to complete the ritual on their own.

Enter the giant whirlpool

Swim out into the whirlpool.

When you come to, you find yourself in an underwater cavern.

Continue onward

Head forward deeper into the cavern. Around a corner, you find a deep hole to jump into.

You soon find a lava flow.

Investigate the vicinity

Head forward, and three waves of Pyro Slimes attack you. If you wish, you can just run right by them and continue the quest. However, you will miss out on the free treasure chest if you decide to not defeat the Pyro Slimes here.

The path opens up into a large lava cave with an exit on the other side that beams with light.

Vicinity #1: The first one appears directly in front of you.

Mualani points out that the Spinel Fruit you find down here is unique. It also resembles the Spinel Fruit found on the talisman that her teacher, Nuu, gave her in the Tribal Quest, Someone Worthy.

Vicinity #2: While you cannot see anything on the minimap, you can still see the direction you face. Head North to find the observation overlooking the lava river.

Vicinity #3: Continue north, gliding across the lava, to reach Karya and Viramdra.

Viramdra believes that the brightly-lit exit to the cavern is the mysterious island. He believes that the island will be in the middle of the lava flow even further in.

After thinking through the lore again, Mualani directs the group to go in the other direction. Viramdra disregards this advice and runs straight in the direction of the golden exit.

Defeat the monsters on the way

Thanks to Viramdra’s action, the lava level rises.

Then, two waves of enemies come after you. Take them out.

Discuss countermeasures with Mualani

The only thing that Mualani can think of is using her surfboard on the lava to save Viramdra.

Rescue Viramdra

You have 60 seconds to reach Viramdra.

At the lava’s edge, use Mualani’s Elemental Skill and head forward.

Make sure to pick up the phlogiston shards along the way to keep your energy level up. This energy keeps your Elemental Skill active.

Chunks of rocks also fall from the cave ceiling, indicated by a dark orange circle in the lava. Avoid those to prevent taking damage.

Along the way, if you try to glide while over lava, just glide down to the lava. Mualani will automatically jump right back on her surfboard. So, do not try to use your Elemental Skill again, or you end up canceling your Elemental Skill. This leaves you swimming in lava, which essentially kills you.

Viramdra does not cooperate with Mualani, so she picks him up and bring him back to the group.

She then gives a whistle, which summons several Koholasaurs. The group use these to escape out of the lava cave and exit the whirlpool.

Mualani returns to the Koholasaurus statue from the start of the journey. This time, though, a mysterious inscription appears on it. It tells of the story of the first chief of the People of the Springs.
